Exeggutor Island
After leaving the Ruins of Hope, the group, Lillie, and Hapu with her Mudsdale, find themselves back in Seafolk Village.
"Thank you, Hapu; and thank you Mudsdale." said Lillie.
"That's what friends do." replied Hapu; she then looks at Jimmy. 'And I hope one day to be more than friends with Jimmy.'
"So, what now?" asked Eddy.
"To journey to Exeggutor Island, you should speak with Mina; she can help arrange a boat for you." said Hapu.
"Okay." said Ed.
"I shall be wishing for your safety." said Hapu.
"Thank you, Hapu." said Jimmy, making Hapu blush; she and Mudsdale parted from the others while the rest of the group turned towards Mina's house and start walking over to it, getting her attention.
"Alola, everyone." said Mina.
"Alola to you too, Mina." said Edd.
"Did you find anything useful?" asked Mina.
"Yes!" said Lillie. "And Hapu was made the new kahuna!"
"Little Hapu was?" Mina responds with surprise. "We've been having old man Nanu look after our grand trials up until now. Heh! Now we have our own little kahuna! That's great!"
"It sure is!" said Jimmy.
"Hapu will do her best for her late grandfather as I must do my best for my mother's sake; and for Nebby as well!" said Lillie.
"That's the spirit." said Edd.
"So what now?" asked Sarah.
"There is still a place we need to go." said Lillie.
"Exeggutor Island." said Maxiley.
"Where the flute is; right?" Mina replied. "Well, in that case, we'd better get the chief!"
"Chief?" Eddy replied.
"Did you call me?!" a voice from nearby, making them look around until they see a man with black hair and beard, wearing a gray jacket and shorts over brown leggings, and a black dress shirt; next to him was a pelican-like Pokemon.
"What's that?" asked Ed. The Rotom Pokedex flies out of Edd's backpack and points itself at the Pokemon.
"Pelipper, the Water Bird Pokemon, and the evolved form of Wingull. It scoops up Wishiwashi in its huge beak and swallows them whole. It can devour more than 30 at one go!" said the Rotom Pokedex.
"It better stay away from my Wishiwashi!" said Jimmy as he holds his Wishiwashi's pokeball close to him.
"Oh my goodness!" said Lillie.
"Nice to meet you." said the man. "I'm the chief of the seafolk. I couldn't help overhearing what you said. So why don't I get you to Exeggutor Island?"
"Thank you, sir." said Lillie.
"Hold up there, little lady!" said Mina. "It's the Eds and their other friends who will be going on this trip; they are trainers after all. And Exeggutor Island is a pretty crazy place."
"Ha, that's true!" said the chief. "There are some crazy critters on that island! It's one thing for a trainer to go, but if you're not one, then you should trust your friends to take care of this task for you."
"But..." Lillie started to say.
"We got this." said Eddy.
"We'll be careful." said Edd.
"Thank you." said Lillie. "I'm sure all of you can handle this better than anyone else can."
"You got that right!" said Eddy.
"I'll just wait for you all to come back." said Lillie.
"And while you're waiting for them, I'll make you model for a picture, Lillie!" said Mina. The group then enter a boat that looked like a Magikarp and they sailed off.
Everyone soon arrives at a small island where a rainstorm was going on.
"Ha! Here we are; Exeggutor Island." said the chief. The group see several palm tree-like Pokemon. Edd takes out the Rotom Pokedex and points itself at one of the Pokemon.
"Exeggutor, the Coconut Pokemon, and the evolved form of Exeggcute. It swings its long neck like a whip and smacks its opponents. This makes Exeggutor itself dizzy, too." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Cool!" said Ed.
"I heard that this place used to be a trial site, though that was a long time ago." said the chief; he notices the Exeggutors were swinging their heads wildly. "It looks like the fellows are even more worked up than ususal; but they're always a noisy bunch, so it's probably fine."
The group began to walk into the island; as Ed was looking at an Exeggutor, he sees a Pinsir, snapping its pincers at it.
"Hey! Stop bothering that Pokemon!" said Ed. The Pinsir turned towards Ed and snapped it pincers at him.
"I think that Pinsir wants to battle you, Ed." said Eddy. Ed takes out a pokeball.
"Gigalith, go!" said Ed, throwing Gigalith's pokeball, and releasing him. "Gigalith, use Stone Edge!" Gigalith slams his legs onto the ground, causing points rock pillars to come out of the ground and hits Pinsir, dealing super effective damage to it; it got scared and runs away.
"You showed that Pinsir who's boss, Ed." said Eddy.
"Hey! There's another Pinsir bothering another Exeggutor!" shouts Maxiley. The group looks to see another Pinsir, snapping its pincers at another Exeggutor. Maxiley takes out a pokeball. "Turtonator, go!" He throws Turtonator's pokeball and releases him. "Use Flamethrower!" Turtonator unleashes a stream of fire from its snout and it hits Pinsir, dealing super effective damage. The Pinsir lunges at Turtonator with its pincers open.
"Shell Trap!" said Maxiley. Turtonator turns his shell towards the Pinsir; it clamps its pincers against Turtonator's shell; the spikes on his shell explodes, knocking Pinsir to the ground; it gets up and runs away.
"You were great, Maxie!" said Sarah.
The group continues to explore the island; they soon find another Exeggutor being bothered by a Pinsir.
"Who wants this one?" asked Eddy.
"I shall battle it." said Edd. He takes out his Toucannon's pokeball and lets him out of it. "Toucannon, please use Screech!" Toucannon lets out a high-pitched shriek that makes the Pinsir cringe and lowers its defense; the Pinsir responds by clamping Toucannon with its head mandibles.
"Do something, Double-D!" said Ed.
"Toucannon, please use Drill Peck!" said Edd. Toucannon breaks free of the Pinsir's grasp and spirals beakfirst towards it, jabbing into it, and dealing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"Nice one, sockhead!" said Eddy.
"Indeed." said Edd as he returns his Toucannon to his pokeball.
As the group continued to walk further into the island, Sarah hears rustling coming from nearby grass. They see a brown, quadrupedal Pokemon with a long neck, leaves on its back and wings, and what appeared to be bananas around its neck.
"What is that?" asked Sarah. The Rotom Pokedex comes out of Edd's backpack and points itself at the Pokemon.
"Tropius, the Fruit Pokemon. Bunches of delicious fruit grow around its neck. In warm areas, many ranches raise Tropius." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"I want to catch this one." said Sarah as he pulls out a pokeball. "Blissey, go!" She throws Blissey's pokeball, and releases her. "Blissey, use Blizzard!" Blissey releases a blizzard from her mouth and it hits Tropius, dealing massive damage to it; it collapses to the ground. Sarah takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Tropius, hitting it, and sucking it in. It wiggled around a few times until it clicked.
"Yay! I caught a Tropius!" said Sarah. Tropius' pokeball vanishes and is trasported to storage. Edd looks up Tropius' information on the Rotom Pokedex.
"This says your Tropius is female, she knows Leaf Storm, Leer, Gust, Growth, Razor Leaf, Sweet Scent, Stomp, Magical Leaf, Whirlwind, Leaf Tornado, Natural Gift, Air Slash, and Body Slam; she has the Solar Power ability which increases her special attack strength, but will cause her to lose stamina." said Edd. After Sarah returned Blissey to her pokeball, the group continued to walk across the island.
Several minutes later, the group reaches the highest part of Exeggutor Island; on it was a pedastal that held a flute.
"You think that's what we came here for?" asked Eddy.
"Must be." replied Edd. He takes the flute off the pedastal and puts it in his backpack. "I suppose we must return to Seafolk Village now." Everyone nods in response and began to walk back to the boat.
What awaits the group as they return to Seafolk Village of Poni Island. Wait and find out.
