Tapu Village and Acerola
The group are currently training their Pokemon to prepare for the next trial and the Mask Royal's tournament Maxiley was entering.
Ed's Decidueye learned Leaf Blade, his Mux learned Gunk Shot, his Dewgong learned Take Down, his Ampharos learned Discharge, and his Flareon learned Lava Plume and Last Resort.
Edd's Primarina learned Moonblast, his Toucannon learned Bullet Seed and Feather Dance, his Magnezone learned Screech and Discharge, his Ariados learned Pin Missile, his Stoutland learned Reversal, and his Espeon learned Psychic and Last Resort.
Eddy trained his Pokemon really hard due to the fact his brother might end up being at the Alola League; his Incineroar learned Flamethrower, his Vikavolt learned Zap Cannon, his Noibat learned Whirlwind and Super Fang, his Meowth learned Nasty Plot and Assurance, and his Poliwrath learned Dynamic Punch and Mind Reader.
Sarah's Blissey learned Double-Edge, her Ledian learned Agility and Bug Buzz, Mrs. Mime learned Psychic, her Alomomola learned Brine, her Jolteon learned Discharge, and her Salazzle learned Venoshock.
Jimmy's Lucario learned Swords Dance, his Butterfree learned Captivate and Tailwind, his Raichu got stronger, his Wishiwashi learned Aqua Tail and Double-Edge, his Lycanroc learned Scary Face and Crunch, and his Umbreon learned Mean Look and Last Resort.
Maxiley's Pupitar learned Payback, his Crabrawler learned Crabhammer, his Vaporeon learned Muddy Water, his Trevenant learned Destiny Bond, and his Xatu learned Miracle Eye.
Right now, the group was taking a break while Eddy was fishing.
"So, how far are we from where the next trial is, Double-D?" asked Eddy. Edd takes out a map and looks at it.
"Well, we are almost to a place called Tapu Village; it has a Pokemon Center where we can get our Pokemon treated." replied Edd.
"And have lunch?" asked Ed.
"Yes, Ed; and have lunch." said Edd.
"While we're there, I'm going to exchange my Sudowoodo for my Turtonator." said Maxiley. Suddenly, something was jerking Eddy's fishing line.
"Hey, I caught something!" exclaimed Eddy. Everyone watches as Eddy pulls on his fishing rod and pulls out the line; on the other end of it was a colorful, fishlike Pokemon.
"What is that?" asked Sarah. Edd pulls out the Rotom Dex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Bruxish, the Gnash Teeth Pokemon. Its skin is thick enough to fend off Mareanie's spikes. With its robust teeth, Bruxish crunches up the spikes and eats them." said the Rotom Dex.
"Looks a little on the colorful side." said Maxiley.
"I'll catch it anyway." said Eddy. He takes out a pokeball from his pocket and throws it, releasing his Vikavolt. "Okay, pal; use Thunderbolt!" Vikavolt gathers electricity between its mandibles and releases it at the Bruxish, hitting and doing super effective damage to it. It responds by whacking Vikavolt with a water-coated tail. "Oh yeah?! Vikavolt, use X-Scissor!" Vikavolt flies at the Bruxish and does some slashing motions with its mandibles, hitting and doing super effective damage to it.
"I believe it's weak enough to capture, Eddy." said Edd. Eddy takes a Dive Ball out of his backpack and throws it at the Bruxish, hitting it, and sucking it in; the Dive Ball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"You did it, Eddy!" said Ed. Edd looks up Bruxish's information right after Bruxish's Dive Ball teleports to storage.
"This says your Bruxish is a girl, she knows Astonish, Water Gun, Confusion, Bite, Aqua Jet, Disable, Psywave, Crunch, and Aqua Tail; and she has the Strong Jaw ability which makes her biting moves stronger." said Edd.
After Eddy returns Vikavolt to his pokeball, he puts his fishing rod away; the group then continued walking. Several minutes later, they arrived at Tapu Village. As they walked through the village, to their surprise, they were approached by Zossie and Dulse.
"Zossie; Dulse?" said Edd.
"An Alola to you all." said Zossie. She and Dulse look around.
"So, this is Tapu Village." said Dulse. "We must investigate it thoroughly."
"Why is that?" asked Edd.
"According to the records we have left to us, it seems this is where Necrozma battled against the tapu when it came to Alola long ago, hungering for its light. It may be the case that the power which came pouring out of the wormhole at that time is what changes a Pokemon's regular moves into Z-moves."
"Intriguing." said Edd.
"Our ancestors were greedy, and they sought to control all of Necrozma's light." said Dulse. "But they only hurt Necrozma, making it lose a part of itself and causing it to run wild and steal all the light it can find."
"That's why we have Necrozma cooped up in the Megalo Tower our ancestors built; it contains Necrozma in its rage." said Zossie.
"But that facility has reached its limit and Necrozma hungers for light." said Dulse. "That is why we came to Alola in hopes of finding a new method to defeat Necrozma, yet it seems to be a difficult mission for us, who are new to Pokemon battling, to ever hope to defeat Necrozma." Zossie and Dulse then turned and walked away.
"Those guys are weird." said Sarah. The group continued to walk through Tapu Village until they found a Pokemon Center and went inside. Maxiley went to the Pokemon Center's PC; true to his word, he uses it to exchange his Sudowoodo for his Turtonator. After giving the nurse their Pokemon, they went to the cafeteria for lunch.
"So, what do you guys think your next trial is like?" asked Maxiley.
"Not sure." said Eddy. "We'll have to get there to find out." After lunch, they picked up their Pokemon from the nurse and exited the Pokemon Center. As they walked, Edd hears a familiar voice.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Edd looks to see a white house; standing in front of it was Lillie, holding her duffel bag; but he frowned when he sees a member of Team Skull right in front of her. "Stop it! Stop it right now!"
"For real, girl?!" replied the Team Skull member. "Your bag was moving right in front of my eyes! You think I'm just going to ignore that? If you got a rare Pokemon in there, I'm going to take it and make some cash!" Lillie pulls her duffel bag back. Frowning, Edd storms toward the Team Skull member while the others followed after.
"Excuse me, I insist you leave Lillie alone, you heathen!" exclaimed Edd. The Team Skull member and Lillie turned to see Edd approaching them; Lillie blushes at the sight of Edd.
"Double-D!" said Lillie, smiling, making Edd blush. Edd stands in front of the Team Skull member, frowning with his hands on his sides.
"Oh, so we're following that script, are we?" asked the Team Skull member. "A trainer dashes forward to save the girl, huh?"
"I believe so." replied Edd.
"I'm not going to let you play the hero in this scene!" said the Team Skull member, pulling out a pokeball and throwing it, releasing a Drowzee.
"Get this jerk, Double-D!" said Eddy. Edd pulls a pokeball out of his pocket.
"I have full intention to." replied Edd. He tosses his pokeball, releasing his Magnezone. "Magnezone, please use Mirror Shot!" Magnezone reflects and focuses light off its body which hits the Drowzee.
"Drowzee, use Psybeam!" said the Team Skull member. His Drowzee fires a beam of psychic energy at Magnezone, hitting it, but not doing much damage.
"Magnezone, please use Tri Attack!" said Edd. Magnezone releases a triangle-shaped beam of energy from its body, which hits the Drowzee, causing a large explosion which knocks it out.
"You did it, Double-D!" cheered Lillie.
The Team Skull member returns Drowzee to its pokeball and throws pokedollars at Edd's feet.
"Later." said the Team Skull member, he turns and runs away.
"Thank you, Double-D." said Lillie, throwing her arms around Edd and hugs him, making his face turn bright red; several seconds later, she releases Edd, much to his disappointment. "I just wanted to go for a stroll on my own, to see what it must feel like to be a trainer, but Nebby tried to get out of my bag." She looks at her bag. "You better thank Double-D too."
"Pew." said Nebby.
"Oh, Lillie." said a voice. Everyone looks to see a purple haired girl with a patchy dress, light purple sandals, and a gold band around her left arm running down the stairs of the white house.
"Hello, Acerola." replied Lillie.
"What's the matter? You look worn out." said the girl, now identified as Acerola.
"I had an encounter with a member of Team Skull." replied Lillie. "Fortunately, Double-D came to my aid." Acerola turned towards Edd.
"I thank you for helping Lillie." said Acerola.
"Double-D, Acerola is a trial captain in this area." said Lillie.
"You're a trial captain?" Edd asked Acerola.
"Indeed I am." replied Acerola.
"Well, Acerola; my friends and I would like to face your trial." said Edd, motioning towards his friends.
"Very well; the trial is located at the abandoned Thrifty Megamart on Route 14." said Acerola. "I will meet you all there."
"We look forward to it." said Edd. Acerola turned towards Lillie.
"Lillie, if you want to rest after your encounter with Team Skull, you can rest in the Aether House." said Acerola, motioning towards the house.
"Aether House?" asked Edd.
"Yes; made by the Aether Foundation." said Acerola. "It's an orphanage for human children and Pokemon."
"That sounds like a marvelous place." said Edd.
"Anyway; I will see you all at the Thrifty Megamart when you're ready to face my trial." said Acerola. She walks past the group.
"Thank you again, Double-D." said Lille, kissing Edd on the cheek before walking up to the Aether House. Edd puts a hand on his cheek with a stunned look on his face before it was replaced by a lovesick one.
"Come on, Double-D; we have to trial to face." said Eddy.
"R-Right." stammered Edd. He and the rest of the group begin walking towards Route 14 to the Thrifty Megamart where their next trial awaits them.
