It was a quiet day at Wayne manor, the City of Gotham had seen a surprisingly peaceful week.
Taking advantage of this, members of the Batfamily decided to split off to brush up on personal matters. Two who decided to spend that time at the manor are Cassandra Cain and Duke Thomas, the latter asking for help with some combat training.
As the two excited the cave "Hello Master Duke, Miss Cassandra, how was the training today ?" Alfred said as He casually dusted the mantel piece in the common room.
"Pretty good, though I'm still a little sore from Cass being on top of me so much"
Cassandra gives a little shrug and with a smirk says "Hey, not My fault you asked to help with your grapples."
"Well you are the best fighter around, plus your pretty fun to be around"
"Aww thanks Duke, I had fun too" Cass says while giving a light joking punch to Duke's side, making him flinch "Oh crap sorry, I forgot I was too rough on that last take down. You ok ?" Cass says with a worried tone
"Heh heh it's ok, nothing serious" He said while rubbing His side "Glad to know ya care at least. I'm gonna grab a drink from the fridge, do you want anything?"
"Na Im good think I'm gonna hit the showers, We went at it so long I could use one"
As Duke went into the kitchen and Cass started to go Her own way, Alfred stopped Her with a simple "You to have been spending a lot of time together as of late"
Cass surprised by this, freezes for a second before turning around and with a surprised tone asks Alfred "I-I don't know what you mean"
"Well there was 2 weeks ago when you asked Him and Him alone, to help you on a case when the rest of the family was here"
"It wasn't a big deal, plus Duke needed more experience"
"There was was one week ago when you asked him for help on a 'Stake out' at your favorite Ice Cream shop"
Cass starts blushing "I..I got a bad tip someone was robbing the bank across the street"
"And there was just yesterday when you asked Him to help with yo-" Before Alfred could finish Cass interjected "Ok ok, look I…I'll admit it, I've been wanting to ask Duke out for awhile it's just…Just"
Finally stopping His dusting, Alfred turns and with a gentle look in His eye asks "What's wrong Cass ?"
"I'm worried I'd mess it up, I mean look at Me Alfred I was turned into a killer by the time I could walk. I'm.." She gently grasps her left arm while looking to the side " I'm worried I might mess things up"
With a reassuring smile, Alfred places a hand On Her shoulder "Cassandra you have nothing to worry about, I'm sure Duke wouldn't have have spent time with you if He didn't truly being around you in some way"
With a deep sigh "Maybe your right Alfred, but I don't know how to do it"
"Hmm, I have an idea, are you free for tea this Thursday ?"
"I um, I guess but what do you me-" before she can reply Alfred says to Duke who is walking out of the kitchen "And you Master Duke, are you free this Thursday for tea or Coffee?
Unsure of what He walked into, Duke simply says "Um yea I guess, didn't really have any plans"
"Good, cause I'm booked all week, Have a good date"
Cass blinking twice lightly shouts at Alfred as He walks away "Di-Did you just ask Him out for Me ?!"
"Have fun you two" Alfred says with a light wave as He walks away, leaving the two love birds to plan their evening.
