I don't own Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir
It was the first time Marinette had really thought about it since the fight with Akuma. He was a private detective who was accused of tampering with evidence. When the girl called the Lucky Charm, she got a laser pointer. And well... it was fun chasing Chat Noir around.
The fight was in the morning, so they had to quickly disperse after the battle, since she still had to go to school. She'd already woken up much earlier, but she also had a physics test today, which she hadn't been doing very well with lately.
So, when she got home, all she had to do was put all the necessary things in her backpack, then quickly head to school without even eating breakfast.
- How did you like the physics test? – Alya asked as they sat down for lunch.
— That was just disgusting!" Marinette complained, almost knocking a glass of juice off the table. – Nevertheless, I did all the tasks, but their correctness is questionable! I hope that this will still be enough for me to get a minimum grade, not to mention a higher one.
- I agree! - her friend nodded. "I don't understand, how does Adrien understand all this?
"By the way, where are he and Nino?" she looked around. "They went out with us.
"Nino texted me to tell them to go straight to the office," Alya clarified, chewing on a meatball. " Adrien wants to sleep, and my boyfriend needs to finish his literature essay… But, let's talk about a more interesting topic! - she suggested.
"Which one?" The girl asked slightly absently as she sipped her soup.
"Chat Noir," Ladyblogger said, pulling out her smartphone.
- What? Marinette asked. – You think there's something wrong with him?"
"I do not know the answer to that question," she said. – But I recorded the last fight with akuma, especially standing up for this, and I didn't regret it! I noticed that he was chasing a laser pointer!
- And? - Marinette didn't understand what was going on at all.
"The thing is, it was like he was doing it on autopilot without really thinking," Alya clarified. – I used to think that Lady Bug's partner just had a costume like that, but what if he had cat-like habits, instincts, or something like that? What if...
The girl didn't listen any further. To be honest, her friend suggested a pretty good idea.
"What if the Chat really has something more feline?"
Marinette had to find out, because it really interested her.
It was a particularly difficult fight with Akuma. She was lucky it was an afternoon after school. But the Chat was unlucky: the akumatized victim chose to chase after her partner, not paying attention to her.
Noir leapt from roof to roof, barely able to keep up with the fairly fast attacks, as his Lady searched for the item where the Akuma had disappeared.
She found it and was about to summon a Lucky Charm, but the akumatized One finally hit her partner, sending him flying into a nearby building, shattering a glass display case.
- Chat! - Marinette shouted as their opponent rushed towards the building, apparently hoping that the guy was unconscious.
She threw her yo-yo around his legs, causing him to fall. The akumatized man rolled over and glared at her. He was about to use his strength, but her baton extended out of the building where her partner flew, which hit their opponent in the face, breaking the glasses, from which a butterfly flew out a moment бабочкаlater.
Lady Bug caught an Akuma in her yo-yo, from which a white butterfly flew out a few seconds later. She didn't say her usual words, but instead quickly made her way to the Chat Room that came out of the broken window slightly awkwardly.
- Why didn't the ladybugs fix anything? – he asked in a slightly shaky voice as the girl scanned his suit for injuries.
"I didn't have time to summon the Lucky Charm," Marinette explained, glancing at her partner's face.
There was a serious cut running down the boy's right cheek, but there were also a few small ones scattered all over his face. This was further complicated by the fact that some of them had shards of glass sticking out of them.
"Chat, do you feel any pain?" she asked, looking into his eyes.
«Ah, just great", Lady Bug thought sarcastically when she realized that one of the Cat's pupils was bigger than the other.
"Oh, mon Chaton," she said softly. – I think you have a concussion."
"I feel fine," he said with a smirk that looked strange and slightly wild from his different eyes.
Probably the adrenaline rush from the fight was keeping him from feeling any pain and acting more or less okay, she decided.
"We need to patch you up," the girl said, then put her arm around her partner's waist. "Give me a hug."
The guy silently did as she asked, grinning again, and then threw her yo-yo to the nearest building to get up to speed. It was a little difficult to carry him because of the difference in height, but she managed it, and in ten minutes they were far enough away from the battlefield.
When they landed on a fairly high roof that would guarantee their stealth, Marinette let go of the guy, who almost immediately sat up, leaning against the single chimney.
"Kitten, I need to get some first-aid supplies, but I need to transform myself," she said.
When the Chat clearly did not respond to her, Lady Bug decided to quickly transform and get everything she needed. She went around the other side of the chimney and released her kwami.
"Why aren't we home?" Tikki asked as the chocolate chip cookie was handed to her.
"The chat has been affected and I need to make arrangements," Marinette clarified, pulling out some sanitizer and Band-Aids from her hip bag. – That's enough for a while... but what do I do with his head?"
"Did he hurt his head?" kwami asked.
"Yes, I think he's got a concussion," she said. – And I can't get him to the hospital because of our identities! Agrhh!
"The suit has some regenerative properties," Tikki said. – If he doesn't get better in... an hour or two, then we won't have much time for personalities. He will need professional help.
"All right," the girl said. - Tikki, spots on!
As she rounded the corner of the chimney, she heard a hum. Marinette knelt down in front of her partner and realized that Chaton was actually purring with his eyes closed and his ears flattened to his head.
He's hurting! she realized quickly, remembering the possible reasons why cats purr.
"Mon minou..." she called softly, so that she could look at his pupils once more.
Once again, Chaton didn't react, so she carefully lifted him up, especially holding his head.
After a few shenanigans, she herself was leaning back against the wall, her legs stretched out whileолова the guy's head rested on her thighs. Lady Bug first slowly and carefully removed the shards of glass, then disinfected the open wounds and applied Band-aids to the particularly large ones. All the while, his ears twitched, and his purring grew stronger and weaker.
She wasn't sure if he was unconscious or just sleeping, but she decided not to check. Instead, she began to gently stroke his hair and between his ears, which, by the way, were soft and tender.
Marinette watched as the boy's ears moved to meet her touch, and his tail twitched slightly. Also, after a couple of minutes of her stroking, he снова started purring again. There was a deep rumble coming from his chest that reverberated all over her body, from her thighs to the top of her head and the tips of her fingers.
Lady Bug didn't know how long she kept lightly scratching his scalp, but at some point, she noticed that two identical green pupils were staring at her.
"Oh, mon Chaton, you scared me," she confessed, running her fingertips down his cheek.
"I'm sorry, my lady," the boy said. – To be honest, everything that happened after I got hit is a blur for me.
"You hit your head pretty hard," she clarified. – You also hurt your face a little, but I gave you first aid.
"I hope my face isn't badly damaged," he muttered, closing his eyes again. "I do feel a burning sensation, though."
"Worried about your pretty face?" the girl teased.
When Chaton didn't answer, she felt uneasy.
- Minou? – Hey, " she called.
"I'm worried that my father won't like it," the boy admitted. – I have a certain job that I can't tell you about because of the personalities. And if I go there with a broken face, well... I'll be punished.
"Oooh..." she muttered. – I-I don't know what to say to that."
"Don't worry your pretty head, my lady," he said. – Мне не привыкать.
"I'd like to help you," Lady Bug said.
"You can always kiss me," Chat grinned.
"You're lucky you got hurt, or I would have slapped you on the back of the head," she remarked with a chuckle.
"Aren't you in a hurry today?" the guy asked.
"Chat," Marinette called softly. – You got a concussion some time ago. I won't leave you so soon.
Apparently, this was enough for her partner, as he rolled over, burying his nose in her stomach. She blushed but started stroking his hair again and between his ears, which were definitely responding to her. A few seconds later, she heard a purr.
Looking at Chaton's profile, she couldn't help but smile. Despite what she usually said, Marinette couldn't deny that he was quite handsome.
"Brrr," she shook her head, pushing the thought out of her mind.
"Get some sleep, kitten," Lady Bug whispered, running a fingertip over his mask. "Get some sleep.
"What are you doing, Marinette?" Tikki asked, watching the girl who was writing something in her diary.
"This... this," she muttered, looking up from the paper and reading aloud:
Chat Noir:
Ear movement Tail movement Purring"And what's that for?" The kwami of Creation asked as she landed next to the diary.
"I want to find out if there's a cat side to Chaton and how strong it is," Marinette clarified.
"I could just answer your questions if you want," Tikki suggested. "Plagg and I have always known each other's holders.
"Thank you, Tikki," the girl said, " but no. I want to find out for myself.
"Are you sure you want to find out for yourself?" - For some reason, Kwami decided to clarify.
"Yes," Marinette said firmly.
"Well, in that case, my hands are clean," Tikki said, then flew off to the cookie jar.
She shrugged as she put the diary away in a special trap box she'd made for him.
"So -" Marinette began. "Tikki, do you remember where I put my physics assignment yesterday? I never finished it...
