A month passed by since the cubs were born in Pride lands.

Simba and the cubs were now talking and walking on their own.

Simba stood at the peak of promontory point looking at his land that he would rule over when he became king of the Pride lands.

Nala came upto him and ask "want to go play with the other cubs?"

Simba ask "do you think I would be a good king like my dad?"

Nala comments "sometimes a king can lose himself in ruling a kingdom."

Simba comments "my dad is going to teach me what it takes to be king tomorrow at sunrise."

Nala tells him "my parents told me that I'm too young to train in hunting yet."

Simba and Nala walk down promontory point and turn down the ramp into the Pride lands.

Nala comments "the other cubs are at the watering hole."

Simba nods his head in listening to her.

When they arrive at the watering hole, Chunvi announces "finally the prince of the Pride lands and his girlfriend arrived here."

Nala comments "I'm not his girlfriend. we're just friends."

The young lioness, Tama, Kula, Aisha, Meava were waiting for Nala to arrive so they can play tag.

Simba comments "who knows. I just may ask Nala to be my girlfriend later. Our parents keep teasing us like they know something happened between us when we were newborns."

Tojo smirks "our told that after Nala was born, Simba development a crush on her and didn't want to leave her side for anything."

Simba blushes "I don't remember but maybe mom remember what I was like after seeing Nala."

The cubs play tag and then took a nap together under the shade trees by the watering hole.

Queen Sarabi and Sarafina came by to check on the cubs.

Simba and Nala ask "mom? Can you tell us how we were as newborns?"

Sarabi answers "yes, tonight we will tell you both separately because you both will look at each other differently."

Sarafina comments "we came by to collect you all for dinner."

The cubs get up and follow Sarabi and Sarafina to Pride Rock to royal den to eat dinner.

After everyone ate dinner, Simba settled down to hear the story about his newborn days.

Sarabi wraps her paws around Simba and says "your newborn starts with you hearing the birth of Nala."

Simba ask "what did I do?"

Sarabi smirks "well it was adorable."

Simba puts his paws up and ask "what did I do, mommy?"

Sarabi grins "when Nala was born, you started mewing to see her. After me and Sarafina let you see Nala, you both started mewing to each other in baby language."

Simba comments "what did I say?"

Sarabi grins "I believe you fell in love with her because you tried reaching for her, so I brought you over to them and set you next to her. You nuzzle her and kiss her with your little tongue."

Simba ask "I gave Nala a kiss?"

Sarabi smirks "and you kinda ask her to be your girlfriend because when it was time to go to sleep, you were fussy until you gave Nala a lick and nuzzle her before you went to sleep."

Simba smiles "was that my routine when I went to sleep?"

Sarabi nods her head "yes."

Nala had the same talk with her mom.

After the story, Nala comments "I can't believe that we were that attached to each other as newborns."

In the morning before sunrise, Simba ran out of the royal den to see the sun hasn't rise yet so he got excited about his dad showing him the whole kingdom.

He ran back inside jumping around the lioness to make it to the royal rock where his parents are sleeping.

He whines "get up dad. You promised to show me the kingdom."

Mufasa doesn't move, so Simba charge into him and pull his ear to wake him up.

Sarabi whispers "your son is up."

Mufasa whispers back "before sunrise, he's your son."

Simba grumbles "you promised to show me the kingdom at sunrise!"

Mufasa yawns "okay, okay, Simba. I'm up."

Simba scowls "you promised."

Mufasa yawns again and gets up with Sarabi.

Simba grins "yay!"

He runs outside of the royal den excited to see the kingdom.

Mufasa and Sarabi walk outside to meet their son.

Simba nuzzles his parents good morning and follows his dad up the steps to the high point of Pride Rock to see the kingdom.

As they stood at the high point, Mufasa tells little Simba "everything the light touches is our kingdom."

Simba smiles wide in wonder.

He looks to a shadow place and ask "what's that shadow place?"

Mufasa answers "that is beyond our borders. It's place where cubs get killed. You must never go there."

They the high point of Pride Rock and walk around the Pride lands.

Mufasa teaches little Simba about the balance of the circle of life.

Simba ask "I thought a king could go anywhere he wants to go."

Mufasa comments "quite true, son. You must be aware of the danger being by yourself when traveling alone."

Zazu flew to them and panics "Mufasa! Hyenas in the Pride lands!"

Mufasa panics "Zazu, take Simba to the Watering hole to meet the cubs" and runs off to face the hyenas.

Simba runs to see uncle Scar.

Scar was sitting down in his den behind Pride Rock.

Simba comments "hey, uncle Scar. Guess what?"

Scar ask "what?"

Simba grins "I'm going to be the next king of the Pride lands."

Scar uninterested says "terrific."

Simba ask "uncle Scar? When I'm king, what would that make you?"

Scar answers "a monkey's uncle."

Simba comments "your so weird."

Scar comments "not as weird as an Elephant Graveyard. Oops I said too much."

Simba gaped in shock "an elephant Graveyard?!"

Scar tells Simba "only the brave lions go there. Promise me, you won't go to that awful place."

Simba smiles "I promise"

Scar smirks "remember, it's our little secret."

Simba leaves to go find his friends.

Scar smirks "hopefully I can get rid of him."
