Chapter 52- Spencer's New Plan
"Cameron, give me my baby brother," Spencer said firmly.
"What is going on with you, man?" Cam tried to console Ace. "Grandma told me that you gave Ace to Nikolas?"
"Cameron, what is wrong with you?" Josslyn asked. "Look at poor Ace. Give him to his big brother so he can calm him down!"
"Did you not just see him grab Esme?" Cam asked. "Especially after her testimony."
"You don't believe that, do you?" Josslyn shook her head. "She clearly lied to get out of going to prison. And if you listened closely to her, she said she didn't fight it."
Cameron gaped at her. "You can't be serious."
"I don't know what you guys are talking about," Jake said. "But Spencer was clearly grabbing Esme when she wanted him to let go."
Josslyn turned to Jake. "Esme claimed on the witness stand that her father was sexually abusing her, but she said she didn't fight it. So, it must have been consented."
Jake's face paled.
"Josslyn, that's not something you can just go around talking about," Cam said.
Emma glared at Josslyn from her kneeled position. "Come on, Esme. It's okay. Just deep breaths."
Esme's breathing started to slow down.
Soon Jordan walked in and came over. "What is going on here? Emma called and said you were breaking the restraining order, Spencer?"
Spencer sighed. "There seems to be a small misunderstanding, Jordan. I noticed Esme wasn't breathing properly, so I was concerned. Then I realized she was having a panic attack. I was worried she was going to drop Ace, so I tried to take him from her. Then Cameron and Jake grabbed me and Esme did end up dropping my baby brother."
Cameron scoffed. "That's not what happened."
"That's how it looked to me," Josslyn said.
"You came over to us before Esme had her panic attack," Emma said. "He wouldn't leave us alone and sat beside Esme, when she asked him to leave."
"Did you see what else happened, Emma?" Jordan asked.
"Well, not exactly," Emma said. "I left to call the cops. When I returned, Esme was on the ground having a panic attack and Ace was screaming in Cameron's arms…."
"Yeah, Jake and I arrived and it looked like Spencer was grabbing Esme when she was pleading for him to let go," Cameron explained. "So, we pulled him off her and she dropped Ace because she was shaking."
"Looked like?" Jordan asked. "Did either of you actually see Spencer grab Esme?"
Cam and Jake exchanged frowns, then shook their heads.
"Wh-where's Ace?" Esme stood up, still trembling a little.
Ace reached for her. "Ma-ma."
Esme rushed over to Cameron. "Give me my baby!" She took him in her arms and he stopped screaming before leaning his head against her. She moved a little away with him.
"No one leave yet," Jordan instructed and followed Esme. "Esme, what happened?"
"I—I don't know."
"It looked like you were having a panic attack. Are you okay?"
Esme nodded.
"What brought it on?" Jordan asked.
"I don't know! But I want Spencer to leave."
Jordan sighed and returned to the others. "I don't have enough to arrest Spencer, but given the restraining order, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Or else I will arrest you."
"Jordan, I'm not leaving my baby brother. I don't want her to drop him again."
"Esme seems calm now," Jordan said. "Emma, will you ensure they get home okay?"
Emma nodded.
"Spencer, leave or I will escort you," Jordan said. "And next time you contact Esme or approach her and Ace, you will be arrested."
Spencer groaned. "Fine. I'm leaving."
"I'll go with you," Joss offered. "Cameron, come."
"No," Cam said. "I'm staying."
"Whatever, come on Spencer." Josslyn prodded him away.
Jordan followed them out.
"Are you okay, Esme?" Emma asked.
Esme walked back over.
"I'm sorry if I scared you, Ace," Cameron said.
"Do you want to go home?" Emma asked.
Esme shook her head. "Ace hasn't swam yet."
"Are you sure?"
She nodded. "I want him to have fun."

Nina held Wiley's hand as they got off the elevator and sat down in the waiting room. Wiley grabbed a comic book while Nina read through Crimson's latest issue.
A few minutes later, Carly and Donna got off the elevator and walked over to them.
"Hi Wiley." Carly squinted at Nina but smiled at her grandson.
Wiley jumped up and hugged her. "Grandma Carly!"
"Why aren't you at school?"
Donna waved at Nina.
Nina waved back. "Wiley is getting updated on his vaccines."
Carly gritted her teeth. "Wiley, go sit over there with Donna for a minute."
Nina scoffed and wrapped her arm around him. "Excuse me? Wiley is in my care right now."
Wiley pouted and shook his head. "I don't want to. Donna stole my lunchbox."
"Who told you that?" Carly asked.
"Leo."
Carly looked down at Donna.
"No, I didn't," Donna said. "It was Scout, and James helped her."
Carly turned back to Wiley. "It wasn't Donna. It was Scout and James."
Wiley's mouth dropped. "It was?"
"I don't know," Nina said. "Willow told me Donna took it."
"She didn't," Carly said. "Now why are you bringing my grandson to an appointment?"
"Because his mother asked me to," Nina said. "The hospital was short-staffed so she couldn't bring Wiley. But she's taking her break during the appointment, so she's meeting us here."
"She should have asked me."
"Why would she ask you when…." She glanced down at Wiley, then covered his ears. "When you're suing her for custody?"
"She should have asked me," Carly repeated. "Donna has an appointment too for her shots and we have the same doctor. It would have been perfect. Willow wouldn't even have had to join us."
"She wouldn't want to miss her son's checkup," Nina said.
Carly placed a hand over her mouth.
"Stop fighting," Wiley cried.
"I'm sorry, Wiley," Nina said.
Carly ran to the other side of the room, leaving Donna, and she leaned over the trash can and threw up.

"That is unbelievable," Josslyn said, sitting across from Spencer in the Metro Court dining room after he dried off. "How can Cam be taking Esme's side over ours?"
"I don't understand it either. And right after Esme dropped Ace! He could've been hurt."
"You know, you and I haven't always seen eye to eye, but I agree with you about Esme," Josslyn said. "She isn't fit to raise a child."
"Finally, someone who agrees with me. I would do anything for my baby brother. I even broke up with Trina this morning and tried to reconcile with Esme so we can raise Ace together."
Josslyn stared at him for a moment, then stood up and slapped his face.
"What was that for?" Spencer asked.
"You broke up with Trina?" She sat back down. "I support you with Ace, but not at the expense of Trina!"
"Everyone kept telling me that I'm not Ace's father and the only way I would be is if Esme and I were together."
"That doesn't solve anything," Josslyn said. "Ace would still be stuck with Esme and you would be too! Not only did you hurt my best friend, but you blew your best possible chance to get custody of Ace."
"What do you mean?"
"With Trina at your side, there's no way a judge would give Esme custody over you."
"You really think so?" Spencer asked.
"I know so. I witnessed firsthand Wiley's custody battle between Michael and Nelle. Mom and Diane advised Michael to marry Willow. He did so and won. Trina's personality is very much like Willow's."
"I might have made a mistake."
"Might have?" Josslyn asked.
"I did make a mistake. I need Trina back so I can marry her." He jumped up and rushed out.
