Soldiers from the dark guild rained down upon the Fairy Tail guild hall. Magic circles were glowing throughout the place as they engaged in battle. Yet again, the guild was in shambles.

Erza concealed the omnicore as she ran up to Cana. "Until we know how to destroy it, keep it safe."

Cana nodded at her, smoothly pulling out a deck of her magic cards. The requip mage handed off the orb to the brunette. Cana swiftly swiped it, pulling a card from the deck and storing the orb inside. She fit it back in the deck, cooly shuffling the cards before tucking them back in her pocket.

Erza raised an eyebrow. "And you're sure you'll remember which one it is?"

"Trust me, I'll know," Cana answered with a smile.

Time for talk was over when soldiers charged at the two, who easily dodged the attacks. The soldiers fought with weapons, and it appeared that none of them even knew how to use magic. Fighting them off was easy, even for Jet and Droy.

But it did get tiring after a while. Thirty minutes had gone down, and somehow more and more troops were appearing. No matter how many they took down, a new one appeared in their place. Lucy huffed in exhaustion while Natsu spun and kicked someone that was running at him.

The blond looked up. "They just keep coming!"

Natsu grunted in annoyance, sending another man flying back. Gray and Juvia were fighting next to them, knocking out one after the other. Erza joined a moment later, helping battle against their attackers. The bodies of the unconscious soldiers piled up, and it reached a point where it didn't even seem possible to fit that many men on the airship.

Gray wiped sweat the sweat off his forehead. "How many of these guys do we gotta pound before they really show their faces?"

"Having fun with my puppets?" A voice rang out from above.

All eyes snapped on the short and plump figure standing on the roof of the guild, looking down through the newly blown hole in the ceiling. With a simple wave of his hand, more soldiers appeared from the sky, landing and proceeding to fight whoever was closest. The man laughed maniacally as he continued to create more troops to fight the guild.

Erza's teeth barred at the sight of him, wondering why she hadn't realized before that their opponents were merely pawns made by magic. That explained why they all looked the same. But with most magic users, if the main body was destroyed, so was all their magic creations. Erza squatted low before springing herself up at her newfound adversary.

Natsu whined a high pitched "no fair!" at the sight of Erza swinging her sword, only for the man to dodge. She got to fight a real opponent while he was stuck knocking out people with one small blow. He huffed in annoyance.

Erza had to admit, the man was skillful. He was quick to evade her attacks, and she finally requipped her armor. She fired sword after sword at him with her heavens wheel armor. The man managed to flip and spin out of their way, but the last sword caught the side of his leg. He grunted in pain, looking down at the small wound that began bleeding.

"Why you—"

The man's eyebrows shot up in surprise, looking to find the red head but instead being met with nothing.

Before he could even wonder where she was, Erza was digging her heel into the lower part of the man's back. She was quick, giving him no time to respond before she landed another blow. She flipped him over, landing him on his back and holding her sword against his neck. One dark glare from Erza had the man wordlessly making his multitude of soldiers disappearing.

It was now that she could see how depleted the man looked. He was coated in sweat while he panted heavily. He must have been running on the last of his magic power considering the amount of magic soldiers he had made in the past 45 minutes. But then… why would he reveal his position if he was so easy to take down?

She heard the sound of faint whizzing getting closer and closer. Looking up, Erza was just in time to block an attack from above. A new wizard had appeared. A woman this time, wearing a small amount of clothing, who also seemed to be a swordsmen. Maybe she'd put up more of a fight than—

"I do hope you've worn them out like you were supposed to, Nigel," the woman said, a cockiness in her eyes and tone.

In an instant, a man appeared, grabbing hold of Nigel before vanishing with him. Erza had no time to even grasp what had just happened, probably teleportation magic, before she was once again clashing swords with her next foe.

Down below, the guild had only a minute between the troops disappearing and new faces arriving. An explosion sounded through the hall, and Natsu heard the sound of another about to go off.

He, Wendy, and Gajeel shouted a "get down!" in unison before the boom went off. Natsu dove for Lucy, laying his body on top of hers and covering her head with his hand. A third explosion roared on the other end of the guild before it stopped. Natsu cautiously stood, pulling Lucy up and asking if she was okay.

"I'm fine," she said with a cough.

It was a miracle the building was still standing. Thick smoke had filled the guild, leading many members to have heavy coughing fits. Gray clung to Juvia's side while she coughed to the point of throwing up. Wendy used her magic to clear a huge portion of the smoke from the building, revealing three new opponents.

Wendy and Gajeel's head snapped to their right, shouting once more for everyone to get down. Another explosion was stopped short when Natsu launched toward it, consuming it. The looks on the wizards from the dark guild's faces were priceless. Shock, confusion, and a hint of fear were written all over them.

Natsu patted his stomach, smirking as he said, "now I've got a fire in my belly!"

He jumped towards the person closest to him, landing a hit on the man's side. Lucy and Gray joined him. Lucy summoned a spirit while Gray tried freezing the man in place. Across the hall, Laxus and the Thunder Legion had began battling another of the members.

The third man, Xeno, had his eyes locked on Cana. A small smile formed on his lips as he approached her. Cana flung three cards at him, which he easily deflected. She stepped back, pulling three cards from her pocket and fitting them between her fingers. She raised her hand, ready to throw them at Xeno.

"You're the one they entrusted the omnicore to?" He scoffed.

Cana's eyes widened, her grip tightening on her cards. How did he—

"I suggest you hand it over. After you remove it from your card."

His voice was slick, his words blending together smoothly. He gave Cana a questioning look that was met with an attack. She threw her cards at Xeno, and he deflected them again. His eyes locked on hers, and it made her feel uneasy. He held his hand out expectantly.

"Do the smart thing and hand over the omnicore. Otherwise, I'll just have to make you regret not giving it up."

Ahhh fight scenes are so hard to write imo. Thoughts?
