Maeve Pov:

"Before my new life had started with Cheetah and the others. I was only ever a celebrity of Vought as well as it's symbol for women to achieve anything if they had determination and will power. But that was the publicity of the company to hide what I really felt, being a dolled-up heroine for people to try and inspire to be but not knowing that I got these powers from a drug when I was just a kid. Afterwards nothing changed, it became a job that I couldn't escape or leave due to Vought's control over my life. That was until Cheetah and the League came to turn things around for me and the world, more importantly see what it means to be someone with powers. But now I want to try and actually do something that matters, and God only knows I'm scared shitless with what I'm about to ask Cheetah since I asked her out to an ice rink that I went to whenever I had time off from the Seven."

Night Time

There wasn't anything happening tonight along the lines of being called on by Bizarro and the league after hearing about bringing in several school students to their building. Cheetah was invited by Maeve to the ice rink since she wanted to spend time with her without being called on by the team, to her irritation. Cheetah believed that she wanted to do some late-night hunting for muggers or criminals that were committing crimes at this hour. Looking at the lights being on and sniffing about the sides to see if there was anyone else around, she heard footsteps coming from behind her as it came from Maeve who was holding a pair of ice skates for herself and Cheetah.

"Don't worry, there's no romantic songs going play while we skate. Even I'm not mushy for that crap."

Maeve commented that she wasn't going to make the time here romantic or anything that would make Cheetah uncomfortable since she wasn't the type to enjoy it. Going over to place on her skates, the redhead noticed how Cheetah was nervous on putting on the skates.

"It's. It's been a while since I've worn any type of shoe wear, before becoming what I am now."

Cheetah stated to her about how since her arrival here was that she'd never worn any shoes. It help her with moving around along feeling connected to the ground like a true hunter. Smiling at hearing that she wasn't indestructible herself, Maeve walked over to help put on the ice skates which left the feline to look way feeling embarrassed by the kind act.

"Guess it means that the fierce Cheetah isn't as violent as the internet says. Though I know you act like this when you haven't had your fill in fighting."

She joked with her which left the feline to remain quiet as the two made their way over onto the ice and keeping her balance. Maeve help guide Cheetah across the floor while not letting her fall, with how she was getting into the movement of being on the ice. With the help she was giving to her, Cheetah decided to oblige in her invite with answering Maeve about not being the dangerous wild cat she was in a relationship with.

"Despite how you think of me, I wasn't always a crazed hunter that wanted a fight. I was an archaeologist that was fascinated with mythology and legends, more importantly its guardians. The woman I told you about when we first met, the one I blamed for my transformation. It was my fault."

Starting off her story about being changed into an animal was that of jealousy and anger that she'd blame her former friend for. However, due to herself being soft by her stay here and the relationship she was with Maeve. Cheetah realized that day when her new life begun was because how impulsive she was to be better. Only to not realize what she'd become afterwards.

"My jealousy changed me and attacked her every time time we met. Yet despite every fight, she continued to help me. Especially when I was about to slash her throat."

Remembering each fight that she had with Wonder Woman that was filled with anger and rage toward the Amazonian, there was a side of her that wanted to apologize for not listening. Maeve could see threw her animal eyes that was truth in her story, especially about trying to make amends for what happened to herself.

"I guess that means you had another life then. Maybe another name that I can learn about, since you know I'm not the invincible warrior myself. Right?"

Maeve asked kindly for Cheetah to tell her real name since they both were hiding sides of themselves that they weren't proud of. With how they skated and talk at the same time, the feline took a moment to stop by the railings to catch a break since she'd never told Maeve her actual name. Mustering up the courage to tell her, Cheetah saw how the Supe woman was giving her full attention to see what real name was.

"Barbara. Barbara Ann Minerva."

Cheetah announced her full name and allowing herself to be vulnerable in front of Maeve since the only one that knew her true identity was the other leaguers since they've worked with her on numerous villain teams in the past. Waiting for a response from Maeve, the woman couldn't help but smile at the name and laugh lightly toward the long name that Cheetah had caused the feline to hiss at her for thinking she was making fun of her.

"It's a bold name. I mean remove the rest of the words and your left with 'BAM'. Which is ironic since when we first meet we banged each other."

Reminding her about how they first met with Cheetah coming at her to directly them fighting and having sex. With how Maeve put it together and the meaning behind the joke, Cheetah smirked at the idea and her anger leaving away to be replaced with a smile. The feline wanted to continue the ice skating more but was stopped by Maeve's hand as it seemed there was more to discuss with her than just learning her background.

"But it also helped me clean up my act. Stopped drinking and smoking, talking to Elena about my changes. Along getting advice from her about starting a new life, especially with someone that helped me get better."

She spoke in a serious manner on if it wasn't for Cheetah meeting her that night and confronting her about what she and Homelander had done on the plane. She might have either ended up consuming herself with smoking and drinking or worse, ending up not caring about anything around her. Going to her side pocket to pull out a small box, Cheetah's heart started to pump fast at the gesture that she was doing.

"Despite how you think of this world and me on how I've been lately, I want to share my life with you. Not as a fellow huntress or someone who enjoys breaking bones. Someone I can say, 'this is the person I want to be with. As well love'."

Maeve stated in a sincere way that hopefully Cheetah would understand and the feelings she had developed for her since they became a couple. Opening the box, it showed Cheetah a golden ring that would fit her finger perfectly and had something engraved underneath the ring.

"Huntress of my heart."

Reading the lines left her speechless at the words and how Maeve was presenting it to her since this was making her remember how kind Diana was to her before she changed into Cheetah. Maeve was silent in seeing how the moment caught her off guard and trying to figure out what to say. Feeling like it was her fault and going to put the ring away, Cheetah started to sniffle at the sight and turned her head from Maeve as she didn't want her to see her weak and crying.

"The last time I left myself to be weak was when that princess tried to save me. To believe that I can change and become my old self. But I couldn't, because I was weak. Now you're asking to marry me? Thinking I could be what you want if we be together. I just can't."

She responded to Maeve's proposal and feeling like it was impossible to be her wife despite the hardships the two had went through together since they first met. It was the first time for Maeve to see Cheetah break down and feel like she was good for nothing but hurting people, much like herself in the past thinking she wasn't good enough to be the public's hero. Determine to change the idea of not being good enough, she risked getting scratched as Maeve gripped her hand and allowed her claws to pierce her skins to make sure she wasn't afraid of being close to her.

"I don't want you to change. All I want is you Barbara, and nothing else."

Maeve proclaimed that what she wanted from the feline as Cheetah didn't know how to respond toward the fact that she knowledge her animal side and not afraid of what she is. Feeling her claws unsheathed and touching Maeve's skin, there was no expression of pain coming from the woman since she was willing to go through the pain if it meant helping her. Allowing her to guide her hand toward the box, Cheetah allowed Maeve to place the ring onto her finger in accepting the proposal and to becoming her wife. The women chuckled at how it was embarrassing for the two of them to be acting since they were considered the serious members on the team, but right now they were acting human and vulnerable.

"If you tell anyone I cried I'm literally going to turn your ass red."

Cheetah informed Maeve as the redhead smile at her being dominant as they shared a hug to embrace the marriage proposal. With the two were hugging one another other, Barbara suddenly felt a snowflake landing on top of her nose which left the feline confused by how there was snow coming from within the building. Looking over at the sight and looking at the side was Cold Snap who was making snow fall upon them, which left her to snarl at the cryomancer for being a part of the moment.

"She paid me for the snowing! I'm wearing ear plugs!"

He shouted at the pair as Cheetah glared at Maeve with the surprise visit which made her not care for it since it was a special moment for her. The two shared a kiss before deciding to skate across the ice to enjoy the engagement while Cold Snap continued to make it snow while trying to figure out what was happening, though he was fortunate to not hear it since Cheetah would rip his ears off if he heard her real name and breaking down in tears. Hopefully whatever she said she can share with everyone once they return back home.

Later-Flatiron Building

Back at the building was the league who decided to listen to the Godolkin gang and hear their stories about what went on at the university. From hearing about the Woods, scientists and one of their students 'Golden Boy' going mad and killing everyone in his path. They were speechless at what was happening there while they had their hands filled with Vought and Homelander, more importantly curious about the antics that happened there.

"I knew that school was evil, I remember how I got a transferred to that class involved menacing glares. Soon enough, got drafted into become Nubia's arch enemy. Don't how the fuck that works since she has lighting powers and I have hammer hands, or. 'Had', hammer hands."

Ground hawk responded to the teenagers' stories of his time being at the school and being molded into a villain for Nubia's life. The electricity woman merely smirked since she enjoyed her time at the university, along being considered the 'queen bee' when it came to doing cheerleading performances.

"Surprising? How about that while we were dealing with our stuff, there was some kind of magic fight with an elf that resulted in Soldier Boy sacrificing himself. Making him, the best hero of all time. No offense."

Maverick apologizing that despite how the League had cleaned up the company's act and handled Homelander by themselves, Soldier Boy was able to prevent an explosion from taking out the city. Most the team acknowledged him and rose their glasses to remember the shield wielding Supe since it would be impossible in bringing him back or seeing him again.

"It still doesn't make up for not reaching you any sooner. We had our hands filled with potential Extremists with Supe powers, other Vought facilities that were trying to take over the business and trying to convince the public this bunch would be the new heroes."

Annie apologized to the former students that despite having the opportunity in locating the school and working with FBSA, they were occupied with other activities that distracted them. With everyone continuing to enjoy their beverages, Marie was still fascinated with Bizarro and how he seemed similar to former champion of the world but different in many aspects, from his rock type skin color and childlike personality. Everyone could confirm that he was the only one that could fight Homelander without any help.

"Heroes isn't the term to describe us. Each of us has been responsible for a crime or two that we can't forget or remove from our memories. This is more of a new page, one that we're still trying to adapt to."

Grodd responded to Annie on them not being heroes but individuals who would change themselves and become better people here than on back home where they were the villains. The group continued to enjoy their beverages as the teens were anxious to ask them questions if they were still recruiting new members or working with FBSA to keep an eye out for dangerous Supe's.

"Then what about the Homelander fanatics? Most of them still believe in them being in charge over humans because of their powers. We've already looked at the internet and saw numerous Supe's thinking that he was right. Have a plan on handling that?"

Jordan questions the league if they had plans to handle the certain uprising in Supe's believing they could handle running the country if they took care of the humans. It was a serious thought since most of them in the group were responsible for raising armies for their causes to then throwing them away for their own benefit. Manta, decided to respond to them with a response to help explain how the league would handle it.

"Supes believe that they're gods. That despite being able to do incredible things gives them right to do whatever they want. But it always leads to one conclusion, a choice. They can actually think for once and see they can do something better with their powers, or answer to us. Which will not be pretty."

He spoke in a serious tone that while there could be an alternate path for Supe's in the hopes they can be better than Homelander and numerous heroes who squandered their powers for wealth and popularity. Most of the Godolkin gang could tell he wasn't kidding and would eventually stop them from hurting anyone if they had their powers the wrong way. Marie on the other hand could tell from Bizarro's expression that he wasn't fond of fighting Supe's and wanting to help them, though the majority of them would refuse it since the ones at the campus were fully ready to take up Homelander's cause in taking over.

"We don't hurt them. We help, no matter how dangerous they are."

Bizarro stated that while it might be Manta's solution in handling the problem, the Kryptonian clone believed there was a peaceful solution to the Supe problem that was happening. Hearing the made the teens see that there could be a chance for everyone to get what they actually want, a purpose to use their powers responsibly.

"So then. If that's being handled; what other type of earth-shattering shit are you handling now? Because from what I can tell from you guys, things are too relaxed."

Emma asked if the league would go on another type of life depending mission to protect the city or travel to a country to thwart a mad man from creating something disastrous. Each of the men and women shook their heads at the question and desired to stay here in the city, along the lines of not getting involved with the government or FBSA. With how that was handled and going to continue with their drinks along about to order food, they heard the door opening up where it was Cheetah and Maeve walking in to notice the teenagers socializing with the group.

"Good to see our power couple here. We were about to put on some cheesy movies and share more stories about our messed up lives."

Banshee announced as the group laughed a bit since it was the best way to know one another due to everyone having a traumatic moment in their lives. Yet the looks on both of the women's faces showed something more than talking about their passes but that of joy as Cheetah presented them the ring that Maeve gave to her. Everyone looked at the golden ring along how the two were holding hands in a compassionate gesture which left them to think of one reason for the gift.

"Oh shit. This is happening right? For real?"

Nubia asked since she knew how her first engagement went and was only done for Vought's publicity campaign. This was different since the two seem genuine about the ring which left Bizarro to cheer in excitement and hug the two for becoming official, let alone the others praised them for getting married since none of them would expect their feline member in getting hitched. Meaning tonight they would have to celebrate the occasion and embrace in the new life that was being made for Cheetah and Maeve.

Next Morning-Flatiron Building

It was an all-night ragger after the engagement between Cheetah and Maeve along everyone enjoying the moment since this was the first time they felt like something special was happening that didn't involve them destroying something. Half of the league was passed out from the party along sleeping in the guest rooms that were unoccupied, the only ones awake was Bizarro. Annie, Nubia, Cheetah, Grodd and Shehemoth who were talking amongst themselves about the wedding arrangements.

"This feels ridiculous. Can't we just go to the court and get a marriage certificate? I'm not the type to be wearing a wedding dress in a church."

She questioned about how the wedding would be handled as Cheetah was the only one to talk about it since Maeve was sleeping by her desk since they stayed in the office partying all night. The ones in charge of the wedding plans was Nubia and Grodd since they could help with getting everything ready for the ceremony.

"Despite what you think. I've had my fair share in planning important ceremony when I was in Gorilla City, a simple wedding shouldn't be no issue for me."

He proclaimed about handling the arrangements with the help of Shehemoth since she could assist in finding the right church for them to host the wedding. Nubia would help with decorations and setting up the entertainment that would be provided when everyone would go after the Cheetah and Maeve were fully married.

"More importantly that you need help that weddings are mostly about everyone else when it comes to clothes, foods and importantly transportation. But also, the brides dress. They have to be flamboyant and have to make everyone's look cheap and crappy."

Listing several things that were important for a wedding to happen and to make it special since it was a once in a lifetime event to make it memorable. While Starlight was looking up the places that Nubia had listed for her to schedule a reservation, Bizarro was anxious to ask them about an important part for the wedding to be special.

"We get our friends to attend wedding."

He spoke with excitement as the moment fell silent since it was a sensitive topic since the only company that they knew were the heroes back home. More importantly that they couldn't bring them over since the only one with that power was either Mr. Mxyzptlk or Constantine. They looked over at Cheetah who didn't seem fond of the idea to that of wanting to invite the woman who she considered a friend to this special occasion in her life.

"B. While I would love to see your cousin again and maybe everyone else who might have family that have asking where the others have been. Maybe we should just keep it small and.."

"Fuck it. Invite them."

Cheetah interrupts Annie who was taken by surprise on inviting her arch enemy here and possibly others who were affiliated with the League since most of the people they knew were heroes who'd foiled their plans in the past. Grodd himself was taken by the idea that his partner announced since Barbara has a long blood feud with the Amazonian warrior.

"If I'm going start a new life on an Earth that doesn't have a pantheon or gods to take away my powers. Then I need to say goodbye to my old life, so. I need Diana of Themyscira to be at my wedding, to then shove it in her face that I have a relationship unlike her."

Starting off with being sincere of wanting to change her life to then going back to being evil toward Wonder Woman on unlike her, Diana hasn't been able to form a relationship since her life involved being a warrior and saving the world constantly. Grodd chuckled in amusement on seeing the old Cheetah resurface and going to get his inter-dimensional communicator to send a message to the other Earth and inform them about the wedding.

"Is this a right idea to do? Won't people be scared about new Supes?"

Shehemoth questioned about when she saw the video footage of Superman helping out in Washington fighting the monsterized Homelander with Bizarro and Starlight, it was breathtaking. The sight alone made her question if there were anyone more people like him that were stronger than most of the Supe's she knew, especially herself who lifted a bulldozer with no help required.

"Like I said. Will keep it small, hopefully they have disguises, so the media doesn't flip out. They do have alter egos, right?"

Annie asked out of concern since she didn't know how the other world works and if they wear their costumes like the people here. Bizarro and Cheetah nodded that they wanted to be normal despite having godlike powers, but they would help out with the wedding. Hopefully it doesn't go out of hand and people try to ruin it since it was Cheetah and Maeve's special day, otherwise they'd start hurting everyone if things went awry.
