Avenging Angel
Chapter 1
Angela had just finished her shift and walked outside with Nyla. They were in the parking lot saying their goodbyes for the day. Nyla jumped in her suv and took off to pick up her daughter. Angela walked to her car, unlocked it, and sat in the seat. She let out a slow breath. It had been a long day and she was extremely tired. She closed her eyes briefly just trying to relax for the moment. Then she heard a knock on the window. She opened her eyes and looked over to find Officer Chen smiling and waving at her to open the window.
"Officer Chen have we not seen each others faces enough lately? You now have to destroy my brief solace?", she said slightly smiling.
"Damn Lopez I just wanted to see if you wanted to go out for drinks."
She remembered that Wesley was working late on a case and wouldn't be home until late that night. She patted the passenger seat , "Get in", she smiled. Lucy sat and pulled her bag into her lap with a big grin on her face. They pulled out of Midwilshire and headed to the club.
