Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 47
Ame Territory: Anko vs Kiba
Kiba charged at Kankuro and Anko with Akamaru following behind him; Anko seeing this ran towards Kiba and Akamaru clenching her kunai as they neared each other.
"You're mine bitch" Kiba snarled in a feral rage as he slashed his claws at Anko; Anko ducked under the slash and drove her kunai into Kiba's gut. Anko stabbed Kiba in his aorta and expected Kiba to crumple to the ground; however she was only greeted by a kick to the face by Kiba as she was sent sailing across the muddy ground.
Kiba looked down at the kunai and pulled it out; Kiba's wound began to heal as it sizzled shut, when it was done Kiba looked at the surprised Anko "that kind of tickled" he said with a smile. Anko was shocked but had to get back up as Akamaru was closing in on her; Akamaru with his black fur looked like a hell hound as his blood shot eyes and foamy drool made him look rabid.
As Akamaru approached Anko took off her trench coat and put it over the dogs head obscuring his vision; Anko delivered a powerful kick to Akamaru sending the dog flying until he landed several yards away.
Akamaru shook off Anko's coat and growled until he heard Kiba speak "Ok boy, lets get her" Kiba shouted as he made a hand sign; Akamaru poof'd into smoke and turned into Kiba before both he and his master jumped into the air, spinning around and went towards Anko in two black vortexes.
"Black Fang over Fang" Kiba shouted as he and Akamaru barreled towards Anko at an incredible speed from her front and her left. Kiba was coming from her front while Akamaru came in from her left; Anko stood still as she tried to time it just right.
As Kiba and Akamaru closed in Anko jumped into the air doing a flip and both Kiba and Akamaru going under her; as they did Anko took out several Kunai and threw them in the directions where they were going. Anko trained with Tsume and Hana so she knew that the technique needed a wide turn radius so she aimed where they were going to be.
However Akamaru stopped and dodged the kunai jumping to a side while Kiba instead of making a wide turn did a U-turn and went to Anko who was still in mid air; Anko put her arms in front of herself as Kiba hit her.
Anko was sent back to the ground slamming into the mud as Kiba kept going until he was a few yards away before stopping; Anko got back up and she looked at herself. Anko's arms had claw and scratch marks, her fishnet shirt was torn in places and she had a cut just below her left eye.
"What do you think sugar tits" Kiba said with a smirk "I'm not your standard Inuzuka, me and my boy worked my ass off; you're no match for me and Akamaru". Anko scowled as she took out two Kunai and looked at Kiba.
"Shut up mutt" Anko said "if I can't beat you then I'm sure Naruto could; he beat your ass before with his chakra sealed and a fart to the face… unless you already forgotten". Kiba growled at this and spoke.
"Oh… I haven't forgotten that; I was humiliated by that clan less loser" Kiba said "when I'm done with you I'm gonna find Naruto and rip that motherfucker apart".
"Talk is cheap bitch boy" Anko said and Kiba growled as he and Akamaru charged at Anko performing another fang over fang pass.
Kankuro vs Temari
Kankuro using his crow puppet launched a volley of poisoned senbon at Temari in hopes of hitting her and poisoning her; his poison was fatal but if he was able to hit her he could win by not killing her.
Kankuro kept the antidote on his person at all times so if he did it right he could subdue Temari; the poison will kill in roughly five minutes, the first minute will result in loss of balance and the second minute will result in slowed breathing and unconsciousness. So if Kankuro was able to get the antidote to Temari after she's knocked out he can save her.
Temari seeing the volley of senbon coming towards her opened her fan and launched a wind jutsu towards the senbon; the wind jutsu knocked the senbon out of the air while continuing to Kankuro.
"Shit" Kankuro cursed as he jumped to the side while moving his puppets to keep them from getting hit; Kankuro avoided Temari's wind jutsu and sent Crow towards her "Temari, snap out of it damn it".
Temari didn't respond as Crow came closer to her and put it's arms in front of it; Kankuro twitched one of his fingers and activated the 2 hidden poisoned blades. 2 six inch blades covered in poison were heading towards Temari in an attempt to hit non-fatal spots on her.
Temari seeing the puppet coming towards her put her fan in front of her with the blunt side facing towards the blades; the 2 poisoned blades hit the side of the fan leaving only small dents into the side of the fan. Temari spun the fan clock wise knocking the blades away before taking a swing at the puppet using her fan like a club; Temari's fan hit crow knocking it away and Kankuro recalled it.
Crow had some cracks and some gears were damaged but all in all Crow was still useable and Kankuro readied Black Ant; Kankuro sent in Black Ant activating it's weapons as it approached Temari who began to run.
Black Ants six arms produced saw blades and the puppet began to spin as it approached Temari; Temari put her fan in front of herself in order to defend against the saw blades. The result was Temari's fan being knocked away and Kankuro smiled; Kankuro opened Black Ants hollowed out body and sent it to Temari.
Temari was captured inside of the puppet as the puppet sealed shut and Kankuro smiled "Capture success" Kankuro said as he heard Temari begin to pound on the inside of the puppet "sorry sis, but it's for your own-".
Before Kankuro could finish his sentence Black Ants exploded into a million pieces and Temari was on the ground her body completely dry despite fighting in the rain and rushed over to her fan; Temari scooped up her fan and opened it launching a wind jutsu towards Kankuro.
Kankuro went wide eyed and was hit by the jutsu being sent flying into a tree and knocking the wind out for him; Kankuro quickly got back to his feet and began to run into the woods while dragging crow with him.
'What the hell was that; it's like she exploded the inside-' Kankuro thought before he realized what Temari did. Temari had gathered up wind chakra inside herself and released it out through her chakra points at once creating a wind pulse 'what the hell Temari never knew a jutsu like that; did Konoha teach her' he thought.
Temari was chasing after Kankuro through the woods and she brought back her fan once again and swung it launching another wind jutsu; the wind jutsu knocked down trees as it rushed towards Kankuro. Kankuro jumped behind a fallen tree with Crow and covered his head as the wind jutsu rushed over him and several wind blades cut him.
"Damn it; new plan" Kankuro said as he pulled out another scroll and opened it and a puff of smoke appeared; Kankuro brought out his 'Salamander' puppet and stood up. Kankuro activated the iron frill and jumped on top of the puppet and ducked behind it to use it as cover "ok sis, time for round two" Kankuro said as he sent Crow into the trees above and Temari got into a defensive stance.
With Asuka
Asuka dodged a slash from a kunai from one of the Suna ninja that accompanied Kankuro and Anko and retaliated with a slash with her twin hooks; the Suna ninja jumped back as the blade merely cut his chunin vest.
"Get back" one of the Ame ninja shouted as he and the other Ame ninja all took out their umbrella's; the Suna ninja fell back and the 3 Ame ninja all threw their umbrellas into the air. The umbrella's began spinning in the air and the Ame ninja made hand signs "Secret art: Senbon Shower"; out of the 3 umbrella came a storm of thousands of poison senbon raining down on Asuka.
Asuka quickly went through hand signs and stopped "Water Style: Water Dome"; a dome of water formed around her and all the senbon began to hit the water. Asuka held the dome together as the senbon kept raining down; Asuka began to strain as keeping the dome up was taking chakra that she could not afford to be wasting.
After a few seconds the senbon shower subsided and Asuka dropped the water dome and as soon as she did she was rushed by one Ame ninja and two Suna ninja; the two Suna ninja had swords while the Ame ninja had another umbrella.
One of the Suna ninja closed the distance and swung his sword at Asuka who used her twin hooks to block the oncoming attack; Asuka's swords stopped the blade and Asuka countered by hooking the sword and stripping it away.
The Suna ninja now disarmed was completely at Asuka's mercy as she lunged forward and put her swords into an 'X' formation; Asuka proceeded to cut off the Suna ninja' head sending it flying into the air and shocking the others.
"You little bitch" the other Suna ninja shouted as he charged his sword with wind chakra before slashing sending a wind blade towards Asuka; Asuka ducked under the blade of wind and connected the hook parts of her swords together and spun around swinging her swords.
The connected swords slashed the Suna ninja across the stomach with the bladed bottom of the sword spilling his guts onto the ground; Asuka rose to her feet whole spinning once more and swinging her blade. Asuka spun around and slashed the neck of the already disemboweled man to ensure he died.
The Ame ninja seeing this pressed a button on his umbrella and a six inch poisoned spike popped out of the tip of the umbrella; Asuka saw the Ame ninja approaching and got into a defensive stance.
The Ame ninja began his attack by sending a series of fast thrusts towards Asuka and Asuka began to dodge and use her swords to defend herself; unlike with the 2 sword wielding ninja the Ame ninja's weapon was a thrusting so she had a smaller area to try and hook and cat he the weapon.
The Ame ninja thrusted his umbrella spike towards Asuka's face and she moved her head to the side; the Ame ninja pressed and other button and the umbrella opened up knocking Asuka away. Asuka skidded a few feet away and took out several shuriken and threw them at the Ame ninja.
The Ame ninja put his umbrella in front of him like a shield and the shuriken hit and bounced off; Asuka seeing an opportunity, connected her two swords together again and rushed forward. Asuka spun and swung her sword towards the Ame ninja's unprotected feet and sliced through both of his legs; the ninja fell to the ground shouting in agony as Asuka merely jumped over him and charged at the remaining ninja.
"Shit; we lost half out number" the Suna ninja said and an Ame ninja nodded.
"Hey, I have a plan" the Ame ninja said "most of us will die… but it's our only chance".
With Anko
Anko dodged another fang over fang from Kiba and Kiba stopped a few feet away and turned to her and charged over baring his claws; Anko gripping her 2 kunai waited as Kiba came closer.
Kiba slashed at Anko with his claws and Anko ducked under the slashes and retaliated with a slash of her own across his stomach; Anko followed up by sweeping kicking his feet sending him to the ground and coming down for a stab.
Kiba seeing her stab reached out and grabbed her hand before the kunai could touch him; Kiba sent another claw strike towards Anko's neck to try and cut her throat. Anko seeing that the strike was too close did a desperate move; Anko tucked her chin to her chest and Kiba's claws dragged across the left side of her face leaving four claw marks on her cage.
"Gah you fucker" Anko shouted as she cocked her head back and head butted Kiba in the nose breaking it in a fountain of blood.
"Gah, bitch" Kiba shouted while grabbing his nose out of reflex; Anko raised her other kunai above her head to stab Kiba but was hit dead on by Akamaru coming to his rescue. Anko was being dragged through the air by Akamaru for about one hundred yards as Akamaru's claws and fangs scratched and cut Anko.
Anko and Akamaru landed on a cliff overlooking a river and Akamaru transformed back into his normal form and began to maul Anko; Akamaru but down onto Anko's arm and began to shake his head from side to side tearing her flesh.
Anko using her free hand and kunai began to repeatedly stab Akamaru in the neck splashing blood all over herself and Akamaru; suddenly the kunai broke and Anko was now weapon less. Anko jammed her finger into Akamaru's eye damaging it making Akamaru let go of Anko for a second.
Akamaru using his one good eye aimed at Anko's neck for a death strike and opened his jaw ready to clamp down. Anko seeing this reached out and grabbed Akamaru by the head her mauled left arm under his chin and her right arm behind his head; and with one smooth motion Anko turned his head to the left side and broke his neck with a resounding snap.
Akamaru's spinal cord and brain stem broke and his nervous system went into shut down; the black dogs fur turned white again and Anko pushed the now dead dog off of her. Anko sat up breathing hard and bleeding profusely from both her face wound and her mauled arm.
"AKAMARU" Kiba shouted as he ran over towards his dog and Anko; Anko seeing this knew she was no longer able to fight so she got up and ran towards the river.
'I have no other choice' Anko thought as she jumped off the cliff to the rushing waters below; Kiba ran to the edge of the cliff and looked down and didn't see Anko, all he saw was the water turning red from her blood.
"FUCK" Kiba shouted in a rage; Kiba turned around and looked at Akamaru who laid on the ground a few feet away with his neck contorted in an awkward manner. Kiba walked over and began to sob "oh boy… I'm so sorry" Kiba sobbed over his dead dog; Kiba clenched his fists and began to growl "You… bitch". Kiba got to his feet and looked at the river "YOU'RE GOING TO FUCKING PAY, DO YOU HEAR ME ANKO; I'M GONNA SKIN YOU ALIVE WHEN I FIND YOU" Kiba shouted.
With Asuka
Asuka was charing at the 3 remaining ninja and all 3 of them were in a defensive position with both of the Ame ninja using umbrella's with spikes and the Suna ninja using a kunai.
"Ok guys… are you ready" the Suna ninja said and the 2 Ame ninja nodded "alright… good luck; and thank you"; the 2 Ame ninja rushed towards Asuka in order to attack her while the Suna ninja turned around and began to haul ass back the way he and his squad came.
Asuka seeing this realized what was happening; the Ame ninja were going to sacrifice themselves to allow the Suna ninja time to escape.
"No fucking way" Asuka shouted as she took out several kunai and threw them towards the fleeing Suna ninja; one of the Ame ninja took out several shuriken and threw them at the kunai knocking them out of the air.
"Eyes on us you little shit" the Ame ninja said as he and his partner attacked Asuka; one of the ninja thrusted his spike at Asuka who ducked under the attack. The second Ame ninja also thrusted at Asuka who jumped away and took out several kunai and threw them at the 2 ninja.
Both of the Ame ninja opened their umbrella's to use them as shields and kunai bounced off; however they both realized too late that one of the kunai had an explosive tag.
"Oh shit" one of the Ame ninja shouted as he jumped away just as the tag exploded; his friend wasn't so lucky as he was blow to pieces.
"And then there was one" Asuka said looking at the last Ame ninja; Asuka charged at the Ame ninja and the Ame ninja got into a defensive stance. Asuka slashed at the Ame ninja using the sharp back sides of her swords to slash through the umbrella; when the blade hit the umbrella the Ame ninja parried the sword and sent a stab towards Asuka using his poisoned spike.
Asuka jumped back to avoid being stabbed but in doing so she made a mistake; the Ame ninja smiled and pressed his spike button again. The spike launched out of the tip of the umbrella and hit Asuka in the left forearm; the spike injected the poison into her and she went wide eyed.
'No' Asuka thought in a panic as she began to go through hand signs before stopping 'Fire Style: Fireball jutsu'; Asuka unleashed a large fireball at close range and the Ame ninja couldn't defend himself and was hit dead on.
The Ame ninja was sent flying backwards and landed a few yards away with half of his body burned; the Ame ninja knew he was a goner and he looked at Asuka. Asuka tied off her arm with a tourniquet to prevent the poison from spreading too fast; Asuka began to rummage through her pouch and pulled out a syringe with yellow liquid inside.
'This should stabilize me long enough to get to a hospital' Asuka thought as she injected herself; when she did so she heard the Ame ninja begin to laugh.
"Looks like… you won't be able to catch the last guy" The Ame ninja said with a half burnt smile "we may have lost the fight… but you lost the battle"; Asuka was fuming in rage and she took out a shuriken and threw it at the Ame ninja.
The shuriken pierced his skill killing him instantly and Asuka began to growl "Damn it" Asuka growled in anger as she grabbed her sword and began to run to where she last saw her teammates "where the hell are they".
With Kankuro
Kankuro sent Crow towards Temari and from above in order to attack; Kankuro twitched his ring and pinky finger and Crow opened its mouth and fired a poisoned smoke bomb towards Temari. The bomb exploded above her with the poison cloud descending on her.
Temari opened her fan and swung it unleashing a powerful wind jutsu towards the poison cloud above her; Temari's wind Jutsu blew away the smoke and was about to hit Crow but Kankuro flexed his entire hand.
Crow fell apart and all it's pieces fell towards the earth; Kankuro sent out his strings again and began to move individual parts towards Temari. Kankuro activated all the blades hidden inside the puppet and attacked Temari in hopes of getting his poison inside her.
Temari began to dodge, duck and use her fan as a bat in order to battle Kankuro's puppet parts; all of this was going according to plan because without Temari knowing it he was getting her closer to him.
When Temari got close Kankuro was going to use Salamander's suction ability to either suck Temari closer so he can knock her out; or he could use it to disarm her of her fan and then attack her.
As Temari got closer Kankuro began to calculate the distance 'seventy yards' Kankuro thought as Temari continued to move closer to Kankuro 'sixty yards'. Kankuro looked as Temari destroyed more and more of Crows parts and he hoped he could get her closer before he runs out 'fifty yards'; Kankuro continued for a few more feet until she was in range 'forty yards'.
Kankuro activated Salamander's suction ability as Temari destroyed the last but of Crow and Temari began to feel the suction force; Temari tried to keep herself planted on the ground but kept on getting pulled closer and closer to Kankuro's puppet.
Temari flew back ten yards before she grabbed onto a tree as her fan few towards Salamander; Kankuro reached out and caught it before it could go in. A few seconds later Temari cane flying towards Kankuro and he smiled in victory.
"Naruto; get ready to call me you favorite brother" Kankuro said to himself "because I just-"; Kankuro's words were cut off when he was slashed across the back. Asuka appeared and used her sword to slice Kankuro from behind; the slice cut both of his kidneys and his spine paralyzing him and mortally wounding him.
Asuka spun around and kicked Kankuro away sending to the ground and stopping Salamander; Temari fell to the ground and Asuka landed next to her holding her fan.
Asuka was sweating and breathing hard "Kill him" Asuka ordered "find Kiba… and get me to a hospital"; Temari with her blank face reached out and grabbed onto her fan and walked over to Kankuro.
Kankuro was crippled and bleeding out on the ground as he saw Temari standing over him "T-Temari…" Kankuro said looking into his sisters eyes "I-I know you're in there somewhere; if you can hear me… I love you".
Kankuro then saw something that gave him a bit of hope; Temari shed a single tear from her right eye as she lifted her fan above her head. And lucky for her and Kankuro, Asuka couldn't see it since she could only see Temari's back.
"Hurry the hell up" Asuka said and Temari using her fan as a club swung it down towards her brother; Kankuro seeing this had one final thought.
'Naruto… please' Kankuro thought as the fan got closer 'save her'; the last thing that Kankuro heard before his world went dark was a loud and wet *splat* noise before he fell backwards onto the wet muddy earth.
3 days later; in Taki: With Naruto, Obito, Kurumi and Karin
Naruto and the others were all walking towards the operations center as they have been summoned by Gaara and Tsunade; as they walked towards the building they all had the same thought.
"I wonder what granny Tsunade and Gaara have to say" Naruto said as he and his team walked up the stairs to the main room.
"Maybe another mission to take out renegades" Obito said chiming in "there was bound to be a squad or two to fall through the cracks".
"I just hope it gets us out of this damn village" Kurumi said as she stretched "I've been growing antsy".
"I want to stay" Karin said and the others looked at her "I want to be here for when Kankuro gets back; he's gonna need some T.L.C after being gone to long".
As they reached the room Naruto opened the door and spoke up "ok we're here; what's the mission granny Tsunade" he said in his boisterous tone; upon walking in completely he and his team all saw something that froze them in place.
Gaara, Tsunade, Katsu, Nagato and one of the Suna ninja that left off with Kankuro and Anko stood there looking at them with expressions that ranged from horrified to angry.
"Naruto" Tsunade said with a sad voice "you might want to sit down".
"What's going on" Naruto asked and Tsunade looked at the others who all nodded to her.
"W-we…we" Tsunade choked trying to get the words out "we found Temari".
Meanwhile; Land of Rivers: With Anko
Anko groaned as she opened her eyes to see a stray roof above her head "ow… what the fuck" Anko said; Anko slowly sat up and her whole body felt like it went through a meat grinder. Anko looked around and saw she was in a small house that was illuminated by candles "what the hell" she said.
A door to another room opened up and a young woman about 16 or 17 with light brown hair, hazel eyes and tan skin walked in and noticed Anko was awake "oh my lawd, are you's ok there naw missy; you's ain't got no pain in yo 'ead there naw" she said in a strange accent.
"Huh… what the hell did you say" Anko said not understanding a word she said.
"Hold on dere now missy; I'ma gonna go and git my hubby naw ya hear" the young woman said as she ran out of the room "honey, that there woman you's brought in has woken up just naw; you's betta go'n talk to 'er".
'What the fuck kind of accent does she have' Anko thought as she moved to the edge of the beg; as she did she heard the sound of a cane tapping on the wooden floor of the home.
"Well I see you're up, it's been three days since we found you" came a mans voice and Anko turned and saw a man wearing a straw hat hiding his face and using a walking stick in his right hand. Unlike the woman he didn't have a strange accent and Anko was caught off guard "I'm surprised when we fished you out you were still alive, I thought the gators would've gotten you; just goes to show strong and lucky you are Anko Mitarashi" he said.
Anko went wide eyed at this and she spoke "how did you know my name" Anko said; the man huffed and took off his hat revealing his face and Anko's jaw dropped.
Anko saw the long raven black hair, the short beard on his face and most shockingly the 2 glowing red sharingan glaring back at her.
Sasuke Uchiha was looking at Anko with a cold expression as she recognized who she was looking at "how's it going… it's been a while" he said.
Ok another chapter done; I hope you all enjoyed it. So yeah Kankuro is dead and Sasuke is alive; big shout out to Guest comment who correctly predicted it. I purposely left Sasuke's death ambiguous so when I did bring him back it'd be a shock; and I know some of you were wondering about it, don't try to hide it.
