Season 3- Episode 7- The Mission

"So, you were called to the throne room as well?" Karai asked as she looked around the hallways.
"I was." Tigerclaw replied passively, as he walked in her rhythm in the same direction.
Karai was in her room, doing her usual hobbies until TigerClaw opened her door and told her the message that he was to deliver, that her father had summoned her to the throne room.
"Do you know what is going on? Why were we summoned?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. Although, given the latest events that had been going on with Donat- Hm, her brother (she needs to get used to this), she can guess that this meeting is about this topic as well.
"Master Shredder claims that he has a mission for us." He replied carelessly. Tigerclaw was never one for chitchats.
Karai stayed silent for a few seconds, until she asked what she had suspected since being called.
"Is it about Donatello?" She asked, as she looked at Tigerclaw with intrigue.
Tigerclaw hummed and nodded in response.
"It is indeed about Donatello. About his capture, to be more precise." He added.
Karai's eyes doubled in size, flinching in surprise as she stopped in her tracks. She saw that Tigerclaw had continued to walk and shook her head to get rid of her surprise and ran to him.
"Wait! Father has already come with a plan? To take Donatello back?" She asked, caught off guard.
"Indeed. You know Master Shredder to be very efficient about his goals." Tigerclaw replied.
'He belongs to our family anyways. It is ridiculous that we have to take him in the first place.' Karai mumbled in anger quietly.
"Family and blood ties are indeed important, especially in our culture." TigerClaw said in response, understanding Karai's frustration.
"Still… we could have been a family if the Hamatos had not butt into our business! Now, how do we convince him to join our clan? To lead it, even?" Karai said in sadness and regret for the life that she could have had. Karai's anger with the Hamatos only grew. She would be lying if she said that it was not fun to fight them, bully Leo and so on. However… Now that she knows about her brother…
"Donatello will not receive the throne. Master had already decided on it. Usually the throne goes to the eldest or most mature child, but regardless, since he grew up as a Hamato, he doesn't think that he will fit as the clan's leader. You will receive the throne instead, and he will serve you as your subordinate." TigerClaw said as he looked at Karai from the side of his eye.
"Wait- what?! So will I take the throne as planned?" Karai said in surprise, not expecting her father to make a decision about it so early.
"Indeed. Do not worry, you will receive the power of the clan." TigerClaw said, slightly smirking. He and Karai are not close, but he is still happy for her, understanding the honor of leading his clan.
Karai smiled to herself in relief. 'Now I will have both a brother and the clan's throne.' It is true that it was and still is weird for Karai to find out that one of her enemies is actually her brother, but despite her conflicted feelings, she is still happy. Regardless, since Donnatello really shares her blood and family, she thinks that it is only right that he will come back to his real family, and not stay with their mother's murderer. And if her father truly has a plan, then she is going to act according to it and bring her brother home.
They both reached the closed doors to the throne room. They stood still in front of the doors as they waited for the permission of the footbots, who stood by the doors with their weapons drawn, to enter.
Suddenly, the bots made a beeping noise, as they both moved and opened the door, signaling for Karai and Tigerclaw to enter.
They entered the throne room with a straight back and their gaze directed at the floor. They both stopped walking, and bowed in the direction of the throne, where the Shredder sat.
"Master Shredder." "Father." They both said at the same time, greeting Saki.
"My daughter. Tigerclaw. You have arrived. You may rise." The Shredder said as they both stopped bowing and directed their gaze at him in silence.
Karai looked around the room, only to see that only the two of them, aside from the Shredder, were there.
"Did you summon only the two of us?" She asked, with confusion appearing on her face.
"Yes. For this mission, I only need the two of you. I think that this is enough in order to capture Donatello." The Shredder confirmed.
"Master. Do you perhaps want to try and convince Donatello first? Before we rush and take him. It might drive him even further away from you." Tigerclaw reasoned. He didn't care if he had to capture Donatello by force and drag him kicking and screaming to the Foot's HQ himself, throwing him in front of the throne as if he was presenting some kind of a trophy. However, he is aware that if the Shredder would like to get on his son's good side, then perhaps using force in order for Donatello to stay with the Foot and putting him in a cage and such might be a bad idea.
"Tigerclaw. Both you and I are aware that Donatello will never switch sides. He has been poisoned with Yoshi's lies for far too long." The Shredder said as he frowned in anger at his past friend.
"Then, how do you wish to persuade him? After he is in our custody, that is." Tigerclaw asked, as Karai nodded with curiosity as to what her father was planning to do to Donatello.
"We do not need his permission in order to get him to our side. However, I will manage to make him submit. I have my ways. You shall leave that part to me. In the meantime, I have a plan that might help us not only obtain him, but find the location of the Hamato lair as well." The Shredder said, smirking as he thought over it.
Tigerclaw and Karai perked up as they looked at him in curiosity and surprise.
"What are your plans, master?" Tigerclaw asked as the Shredder straightened his back and got up from the throne.
His smirk widened as he declared.
"You may find my son and the Hamatos through their human friends, of course."
