Chapter 3:
It was 10 am in the morning, and Peter was out looking for a job to sustain himself during his time here while eating a sandwich he got from the shelter he slept at. Meanwhile the symbiote was looking around at it surroundings, sending for any potential danger to itself and it's host.
" Some of the people here seem to be more powerful than the ones on Earth." Venom states.
" Yeah apparently it has something to do with Aura, it's basically a shield powered by their souls. And get this, everyone here can unlock it and gain a sort of superpower, seems unfair if you asks me." Peter answers.
" How so Parker? Seems convenient and a good way to get stronger." Venom asks.
"I had to get bitten by a genetically enhanced spider to get superpowers, getting my DNA rewritten was NOT a pleasant experience." Peter retorts.
"Don't you mean a genetically enhanced radioactive spider?" Venom corrects.
"Wait, WHAT DO YOU MEAN RADIOACTIVE!" Peter yells.
"Yeah, did you not know, heck your blood emits small amounts of radiation, what else did you think I used as energy to constantly produce those webs we use to swing around when we are active?" Venom asks.
" First of all, I never really got around to looking at my DNA to see what changed, I don't exactly have equipment for that, and I can't really use other people's equipment to do it. And second I never thought about how you did that, I assumed you used the nutrients in the food I ate for that." Peter replies
"Well that's on you for not looking into things properly, anyways I doubt these people could match us at our full power, so we shouldn't be that worried, except for the fact that you're a wuss and refuse to go all out." Venom replies.
" Yeah, well I would rather not accidentally kill someone with my strength, especially now that I have this power boost from bonding with you again, going to have to be extremely careful now." Peter states.
" Loser."
"I may be a loser, but at least I'm not an alien puddle that needs a host to get any form of power." Peter retorts.
"If we didn't need you, I would eat you from the inside." Venom spats out.
" What?!"
"You heard me."
"Ok jeez, let's just stop insulting each other and find out what to do next." Peter states.
After looking around for an hour, the hidden vigilante spots an electronic billboard displaying the latest news.
" Last night, reports have discovered a new vigilante appearing last night. While there is no footage of sorts to show what he looks like, what we do know is that this vigilante goes by the name "Spider-man."
"Aw man, they didn't mention my full introduction." Peter states.
" We here at VNN are offering payment for anyone who can get any type of footage of this mysterious new vigilante." The news reporter finishes.
" Well that's convenient, guess that solves our money problem." Venom points out.
"At least the Parker luck is finally tipping in my favor." Peter gratefully answers.
" Yeah right knowing you're luck, we are bound to have a problem." Venom states.
"Maybe being in a different world changed my luck, now to just grab my camera and…."
Peter checks his backpack for his camera, but can't find anywhere.
"….. It's back on Earth mostly like destroyed from the explosion, ah crapbaskets!" Peter yells internally.
"Told you, what's the plan now genius?" Venom asks.
" I don't know, think they would lend me a camera to use?" Peter hopes.
"Knowing you, mostly likely not." Venom states, thinking realistically.
" Ok then YOU come up with something ." Peter retorts
"How about you use your intelligence to find any old cameras thrown away and fix it from scrap like how you built your web shooters." Venom answers.
" …. Okay you got me there."
" For someone with intelligence, you seem to not use it and make stupid decisions." Venom replies.
" Okay you don't need insult me, I'll try and use my brain more often." Peter defends.
" I find insulting you hilarious, you can quip it out, but you can't take it." Venom chuckles.
"* Sigh, I'll just get straight to dumpster diving." Peter replies.

In another part of Vale, Glynda is investigating where the area in where Spider-Man took down the criminals last night. They only clues she had to go with was the description of the webbing used to tie up the criminals, however the webbing dissolved after and hour so they couldn't study it any further. There were a few cracks on the wall of the building next to the alley, but nothing to major. Then there was the pieces of a crowbar that was broken in two.
She then looks at the report given by the witness describing the vigilante, stating he wore a red and blue spandex with webbing pattern on the suit and mask, with the mask having white lenses. It also states that the vigilante in question sounded young male, indicating he is a teenager.
After she finished her investigation she calls Ozpin to inform her of what she learned.
"Hello Glynda, I assume you're calling to inform me about Spider-Man." Ozpin presumes.
"Yes, from what I could gather, this individual seems to be what I assume to be a teenager around 17, and from what witnesses say, is extremely agile and strong, and can shoot webs, however if that's his semblance seems to still be up for debate." Glynda answers.
"Any info on what that mysterious black substance was we saw on him from yesterday's footage." Ozpin asks.
"No Ozpin, nothing so far. It seems this young man is hiding this from everyone. I'm not exactly comfortable with what that thing was, as far as we know it could be a new type of Grimm just waiting to strike." Glynda replies.
"Yes I am aware of that, but until we can confirm what exactly that thing is, we can't do anything about it." Ozpin informs her.
"Of course, what should I do next?" Glynda asks.
"For know just find any more info you can about him, and observe what he does next, don't do anything that would cause him to do anything rash." Ozpin instructs.
"Okay, I'll do just that, good day to you Ozpin." Glynda replies ending the call.
Glynda then heads to find any signs of the Web-head, as looks around she can't help but feel paranoid about the danger Spider-Man could present. What ever substance that covered Spider-Man the day the discovered his existence could be her doing. But until then, the best course of action is the find as much information they can about him before confronting the vigilante, unlike a certain general who would mostly like make a rash decision and hunt the vigilante down mostly likely doing more harm than good.
As she walks across the town, she looks around to see citizens all around conversing with each other about Vale's new vigilante. Many see the vigilante as a hero while others think he is a menace. Despite little information was released to the public, the people who view Spider-Man as hero are filled with wonder and excitement about a real life superhero. Glynda can't help scoff at the vigilante, even if they are no threat to the citizens, she views the web-head as childish for dressing in ridiculous costume looking like it came out of a comic book, the boy could get himself killed one day.
A few hours later after she doesn't find any more signs of the vigilante, she prepared to head back to Beacon and heads towards a bullhead preparing to leave heads towards the academy. On her way there she notices a teenager crossing the street, tinkering with an old camera. Just then a car comes around the corner moving at an alarming speeds towards the teen, but before she could intervene the teen jumps out of the way as if he already knew it was coming. Deciding to check on the teen to see if they are alright.
"Phew that was close, man I almost become a human pancake there." The teen states.
"That was extremely reckless young man, don't you know to watch where you're going?!" Glynda chastises the teen.
"Oh! Hi there, uh sorry just trying to fix my camera here, I guess I got a bit distracted." The teen replies.
"What is your name young man?" Glynda asks.
"Um, Peter Parker ma'am." The Teen named Peter answers.
"Well Mr. Parker, I hope you know that what you did was entirely reckless, you could have gotten extremely hurt. Next time put whatever you are doing away and watch the road." Glynda scolds.
"Yes ma'am." Peter replies.
"Good, now if excuse me I have places to be, now be on your best behavior, have a nice day young man." Glynda tells the teen.
"Um you too ma'am, bye." The teen says as she leaves. Even outside of the academy she has to deal with reckless teens. Hopefully the young teen has learned something from that experience, Oum knows how many times she's had to see young teens get hurt from reckless behavior, or worse. But as she leaves, she can't help but feel something was familiar, and odd about the boy. She just shrugs it off and decides that she just needs a warm cup of coffee to get her through the day.
/
" Man was she intense, then again probably should have watched were I was going." Peter thinks.
"I found that interaction hilarious, but besides making fun of you for that interaction, I could sense here power, and it's a lot more powerful than most people. We should be careful around her, she could give us some trouble." Venom states.
" Maybe she is one of those huntress's I read about, I know they are the ones protecting people, but the concept of hunters is something I'm not really comfortable with, and they seem more like legal mercenaries." Peter states.
" Is it because of Kraven the Hunter? That man is an odd individual." Venom asks.
" Yup, tried to hunt me like I was some big game. He even payed someone to turn him into a overgrown cat just to keep up with me, I so prefer my felines female." Peter answers.
"Interesting." Venom says after learning something new about its hosts.
" Anyways, let's go to that news station, maybe we see if they are willing to pay us some cash if get them Spidey pics." Peter continues, unaware at the fact that he gave the symbiote more material to mess with him.
A little while later, Peter arrives at VNN news building and enters. He looks around for the person in charge, hoping to pitch his offer to get them Spidey pics. After a few minutes of being directed around, he arrives at an office belonging to Lisa Lavender, a few moments of getting himself together, he knocks on the door.
"Come in" a voice calls out.
Peter enters the office and sees a women in a business suit with lavender hair. She is handling large amounts of paper work and is on a scroll, in a call with multiple co-workers.
"Alright kid what do you want, I'm busy here so make it quick." She asks, in an impatient tone.
"Hello there I'm Peter Parker, and I think I can get you pics of Vales new vigilante, Spider-Man in action." Peter proposes.
Lisa just gives him a deadpanned look saying, "Look kid, you aren't the first one to propose this, heck I'm busy writing the next story on this guy. I'll tell you the same thing I told the others, if you can get me photos on the guy then maybe we can make a deal, got it?" She replies.
"Got it." Peter responds
"Good now shoo, I got a busy day ahead of me." She says, moving her hand a shooing matter.
Peter then leaves the building after his proposal. Thinking how well that played out.
"*Phew, I thought that would go badly, thank god she wasn't just another JJJ." Peter thinks.
"For the record, I never really liked that guy, why did you even sell photos to him on the first place?" Venom asks.
" I needed the to help support my Aunt May, isn't that obvious?" Peter responds.
"That's not what I meant, why did you sell photos to HIM, all he ever does is slander your name and brand you as a menace." Venom corrects.
"Oh, um, okay you got me there, never thought about that, my bad. But just so you know I'm not in it for the fame, even though it would be nice to see the paper write about me in a more positive manner." Peter replies.
"Well guess you should suit up if we want to get photos then, is that camera that you fixed up functional." Venom asks.
"Yup, it even has a few pages of film left, how lucky is that, just hope any the shots come out good." Peter states.
/
One hour later, Spider-Man is swinging around, looking for any crime to stop.
"Okay, where can I find some criminals to beat down and get good pics of myself in action."
"Maybe look for places criminals usually rob, convenient stores, banks, or the docks." Venom suggests.
"Not a bad idea, there's a few stores nearby, maybe we can steak out those for a bit." Spider-Man replies.
Spider-Man swings around until he comes across a random dust shop deciding to wait around to see of anyone come and attempt to rob the place. As he waits, he refills his web shooters, and counts how much he has left.
" Ok so I have at least 2 months worth of webbing left, if I use it sparingly." Spider-Man points out.
"You know we could help you out with that, like we said before we use the small amounts of radiation in your blood as energy to make those webs." Venom offers.
"As very helpful as that could be, I don't know if it's a good idea for you to be in action at the moment. As far as we know, if people find out that your not "just a suit", then we might get hunted down for experiments. Heck, it's best we don't let people find out what I really am, the second people realize it's possible to make meta-humans, then we are going to have a huge problem." Spider-man replies.
"So when can we get out for some action, we are getting extremely bored just doing nothing while being bonded to you." Venom asks, extremely annoyed from the lack of action it has had during the last few days.
"I think we should wait until we might come across someone I can't handle on my own. You know, in case of emergencies." Spider-Man suggests .
"Fine, but you owe me for this, maybe some chocolate." Venom requests
"Chocolate? Why chocolate? I'm surprised your asking for that." Spider-Man questions.
"What? It's delicious, be grateful it's a simple request." Venom retorts.
" Okay calm down, I'll get you some chocolate. Let's just hope that I can get the photos to se-" But just before he finishes his sentence, his spider-sense goes off alerting him of a white van arriving at the dust shop. After the van stops, and out of the van, a small group of men in black suits come out and enter the shop.
"And that's s my cue, time for some action." Spider-Man states, webbing up the newly repaired camera in place to capture a few photos. Once he sneaks in the building, he observes one of the thieves keep the cashier hostage while another 3 start collecting dust.
"That's strange, usually criminals go for cash and jewels, pw well different universe different rules I guess." Spider-man thinks.
"Isn't that the stuff the people of this world is as fuel and ammo for there weapons against those pathetic knockoffs." Venom asks.
" Yup, think it can work on you? You do show some similarities." Spider-Man jokes.
" I highly doubt that, one major difference is that I'm a sentient being like you with complex emotion and desires, and a soul." Venom responds.
"Jurys still out on the soul part." Spider-man mocks.
"Just hurry up and stop them already!" Venom yells, offended by Spider-Man's comment.
"Hurry up already! Let's grab the dust and get out of here before the cops or a huntsmen arrives!" One of the thieves yells.
"I'm on it I'm on it! We'll be long gone before anyone comes to catch us!" One of the thieves boasts.
"We better, I ain't going back to ja-" but before he could finish, Spider-Man jumps from above, and kicks the criminal away from the cashier.
"Well I hate to break it to you, but you are definitely heading back there, maybe you will meet some old friends there." Spider-Man quips.
"Hey isn't that the spider vigilante from the news?" one the thieves yells out.
"Who cares get him!" another one yells.
All four thieves attack him at once, send punches and kicks towards Spider-Man's direction. Unfortunately for them, they can't land a single hit on the arachnid. Using his agility, Spider-Man dodges each attack by ducking and jumping in the air. Spider-Man the counter attacks by sweeping their legs and throwing them into one another.
"Man you guys suck at this, hey maybe with those suits you guys are wearing you four could become a singing quartet." Peter jokes.
"Shut up you freak! We'll squash you like a bug!" One of them yells.
As they attempt to attack Spider-Man, one of them pulls out a gun and attempts to shoot the hero. But just as he is about to pull the trigger, Spider-Man webs up the entrance of the gun, jamming it.
"What the hell?! What is this gunk, my guns jammed!" the thief yells.
"No guns allowed in a gun fight! Don't you know the rules?" Spider-Man quips.
The other three thieves attempt to use their own guns, but as expected, Spider-Man webs each one jamming every one.
"Did you all not hear me? Man you guys must be dumb generic criminals." Spider-Man mocks.
"Quiet you annoying insignificant insect! One of the yells, throwing a punch, only for Spider-Man to grab his fist, and slightly twist his arm.
"Ow! Let go of me!" the thief yells.
"I'm an "arachnid" not and insect, come guys how many times to do I have to tell you people." Spider-Man scolds.
" That's because nobody gives a crap about that." Venom responds.
"I didn't ask for your opinion." Spider-Man retorts.
"Whatever, just wrap it up already before the authorities come so we can leave." Venom replies.
"Fine, plus I need to grab my camera while I still can." Spider-Man complies.
The other three thieves attempt to dog pile on the web-head, but miss and land on top the other as Spider-Man jumps up onto the ceiling. While on the thieves are on the floor, Spider-Man takes advantage of this and webs them all up in a tight cocoon of webbing on the floor. Satisfied with his work, Spider-Man turns to the cashier and says, "Sorry about the mess, but I got places to be, have a goodnight!" as he swings off, snatching the camera as he leaves.
Minutes later, after getting far enough from the crime scene, Spider-Man reviews the photos the camera took.
"Lets see here, crap to blurry, too close, not close enough. Aha! This may be the only one, but it should be good enough." Spider-Man states, as he looks at a photo of him in a crouch ducking a fist headed towards his face.
"Is that the best one we have. I feel like we could use a better one." Venom asks.
"Unfortunately it's the only usable one, but maybe we can still get some cash for this." Spider-Man answers.
"Well if one thing is certain, you will need to get a new camera and film, you may have fixed this one, but it's still old." Venom points out.
"That might take a while, until then food and shelter is top priority." Spider-man states.
"This is going to be tedious isn't it? One solution I propose is to stay at shelter until we have a new camera, but knowing you don't to overstay your welcome so maybe we canfind an abandoned building if you don't want to take advantage of their hospitality." Venom suggests.
"Huh. That actually sounds like a decent plan, and yes I don't want to take advantage of their hospitality, you know me so well." Spider-man praises.
"One of us has to use their brain here, see you tend to forget to use it half the time, and plus there's a good chance someone would snoop around our stuff while we sleep, and we would be screwed if they take the photo." Venom states.
"Ok rude, but good point, I didn't think about that, guess we'll sleep somewhere know one bothers to go to?" Spider-man asks.
"Yes, and hurry up the soon we get to sleep, the sooner we wake up and sell the photo, now move." Venom chastises.
"I'm going, I'm going, you don't have tone so condescending." Spider-Man responds.
Spider-Man swings away, look for a place to sleep for the night, hoping the photo can be sold for a good amount of cash for them to use.
/
" Man, my back feels stiff." Peter complains, heading towards VNN.
"You did sleep on a wooden floor, should have used your clothes to sleep on idiot." Venom points out.
"I wish I thought of that, why didn't you tell me to that last night?" Peter asks.
"To get you to learn to use your brain more, like I stated multiple times, your intelligent yet you don't use your brain most of the time." Venom responds.
" I get it, I get it, man you don't have to tell me so much. Let's just sell this photo, hopefully we can get enough cash for some food and more film, and save the rest for a new camera." Peter replies.
After arriving at VNN Peter enters the building and heads straight towards Lisa's office. He knocks on the door and is told to come in once again.
"Alright kid, do you have any photos or not." Lisa asks.
"I was able to get one photo of the guy, I hope this will suffice?" Peter asks nervously.
"Hmm, well it's the best photo anyone's got of the guy, I'll write you a check, what was your name again?" Lisa asks.
"Peter Parker ma'am." Peter answers.
"Ok Parker, while I can pay for any other photos you can get of the vigilante, I can't fully hire you cause of your age. So for now you will be payed on a freelancer's salary, understand?" Lisa offers.
"I understand, thank you." Peter responds.
"Good, now take this and go, I got a story to write." Lisa says as she hands Peter the check.
Peter grabs the check and leaves, getting out of Lisa's hair and out the building, heading towards the nearest bank.
" Ok that went smoothly, now let's see how much I ear- holy crap this is fifty percent more than what JJJ has ever given me, this rocks!" Peter internally celebrates.
"Well you did give her the ONLY good photo of us anyone's ever got, so thankfully she seemed impressed enough to give you this much, but I doubt we will get this much every time." Venom states.
"You may be right but this is the biggest win I have ever gotten, just let me have this." Peter pleads.
"Just being realistic, knowing your luck something is bound to happen sooner or later to mess with you." Venom reasons.
" Me, not us?" Peter asks.
"Hey it's your problem if anything happens not ours, if you can't get us what we need it will be on you, and you still owe us chocolate." Venom answers.
"Just be patient, when we can spare some money I'll get you a huge box full of them." Peter retorts.
"You better."
" God how did I end up here." Peter whines.
"We blew up, and that's you're fault." Venom bluntly answers.
" … Let's just cash this check." Peter says not even bothering to defend himself there.

Later that night, on the island of Patch, a girl with black-reddish hair, silver eyes, was watching T.V in the living room of the house when a VNN news report comes on.
" Good evening folks, tonight on VNN, we have a new report on Vale's new vigilante, Spider-Man. Reports reveal Spider-Man confronting a group a criminals attempting to rob a local dust shop. The news reporter states.
As the reporter goes on, the girl then excitedly yells "Yang! Come look at the T.V!"
A couple of moments later, a older girl with long blonde hair, and lilac eyes comes in the living room. "I'm here Ruby, what's got you so excited this time?" Yang asks her sister.
"Just listen and look!" Ruby tells her sister.
"The witness from the shop said that the vigilante came to her rescue and subdued the criminals before they could take anything and leaving them tied up before leaving the scene. While we don't have any footage, we do have one single photo taken of Spider-Man in action." The reporter says as a photo of the web-head is shown on screen.
Ruby stares in awe at the screen, looking at the photo of the web-head in his red and blue suit, with web patterns, a emblem of a black spider in the middle of the chest, and a mask with web patterns and white lenses.
"Whoa! Can you believe it Yang, A real life superhero!" Ruby shouts.
"He looks like something straight out of a comic book with that onesie." Yang chuckles.
"Well I think he looks cool, he's kind of like the heroes in the stories you read to me when I was little. Hey do you think we could see him in Vale?" Ruby asks.
"I doubt it, this guy has only been spotted twice so far, might be a while till he will be seen in public." Yang answers.
"Well I hope we can see him, think I can get his autograph?" Ruby asks with excitement.
"Why, do you have a superhero crush there Rubes?" Yang teases.
"What?! No! I just think it's cool that Superheroes are real." Ruby defends with a slight blush of embarrassment.
"I'm kidding, you don't have to take it so seriously, who knows, maybe we can get lucky and find him next time we're in Vale." Yang says.
"Girls dinner's ready, come and eat." A voice from the kitchen suddenly shouts.
"Oh, come on Rubes time to eat, we can talk about this new superhero later." Yang says as she heads towards the kitchen.
"Coming Dad!" Ruby yells as he chases after her sister.
As the sisters and their father eat, Ruby can't help but be excited over the fact that a real life superhero hero exists. She hopes that maybe she can get his autograph soon, and maybe ask them about what inspired them to be a hero in the first place.

Meanwhile at an abandoned warehouse in an undisclosed location of Vale, a man with red hair, white suit, bowler hat, and cane was watching the news until he heard his scroll ring.
"Hello there, I assume your calling me about this new vigilante?" the man asks.
" Yes Roman, this individual has gotten in the way of our plans of you can't tell, I assume you will deal with them accordingly, or else." A woman from the scroll threatened.
"Relax, they're probably just some guy pretending to be some sort of hero, I deal with him, shouldn't be that hard." Roman answers.
" Good." The woman responds before hanging up.
After the call, Roman continues watching the news, thinking of a plan to get rid of the web-head.
"Shouldn't be that hard to squash that bug, I mean how hard could it be?" Roman asks, unaware of what the arachnid is truly capable of.
