Hello i am here to introduce a new concept for my stories that readers should be aware of moving forward this new concept is called character bias or chapter bias if you prefer.

character bias is when a chapter that is usually in third person or not from any one characters perspective has the information and wording in it changed to match what a specific character knows and thinks about the world and other characters

i wanted to introduce this to make it more clear what certain characters do and don't know because in some stories I've read i get confused and disinterested when the sentences conflict each other because there was a change of Pov that was not announced so the information that was presented in third person will be completely different with what a character will do or say in first person-

character bias will hopefully make it much more clear what certain characters both think and feel about the other characters and themselves even when a chapter is mostly in third person

Just incase this is a confusing concept let me give a large and detailed example

if a chapter starts with {character bias Izuku} then the chapter would- even in third person- refer to katsuki Bakugo as kachan it would also include random offshoot information that is meant to represent Izuku's scatterbrained tendencies and might even include things like basic quirk analysis or a stream of muttered words in place of a clear and concise sentence. there is an example of some of this in this very chapter with the third person narrator doing an izuku style breakdown on Bakugos quirk and listing off the various benefits having nitroglycerin for sweat would provide a person outside of just blowing it up.

additionally it would include opinions that izuku would have rather than just pure facts let me give you a statement as an example (one of these may or may not be true for the story so potential spoilers but for the most part this is a random mishmash of info)

Izuku's Dad is dead and was killed by Endeavor in an explosion he accidently caused while chasing a villain-

now with Inko bias- Hasashi midoriya was killed in an explosion caused by Endeavor on his way to the airport But he had managed to save his work friend Kurogiri who was taking him to the airport for his return to his work in America

now with Endeavor bias- Apparently while Endeavor was chasing the flying villain one of the firebolts he threw that the villain dodged landed on a car causing it to explode and killed a man as well as injure another the lawsuit he currently faces is quite annoying so it's best to just throw money at the problem until it goes away

Kurogiri bias - After picking up his master the mist headed villain known as Kurogiri was driving a car to a nearby parking garage so he could leave it there before opening a warp gate back to his masters main base when all of a sudden he was kicked him out of the vehicle just before it was hit by a bolt of flame and exploded

also im likely to go back and change or extend chapters in the future depending on a few different things like if i decide to change the story in some way and a past chapter will contradict that change i will go back and change the past chapter to reflect the new direction the story might take if this happens ill include a note at the start of whatever the newest chapter is sorry for the rant

{Izuku bias} third person

Today was the third day of kindergarten after being back from the weeklong break that Izuku took to spend time with his father and during the week he was gone almost his entire class had manifested their quirks. Of course the first person in the class to manifest their quirk was katsuki Bakugo who Izuku preferred calling Kachan.

Kachan got a quirk that he says lets him blow up his sweat but only on his hands and he calls it Explosion a simple but effective name.

The teachers in their class say his sweat was practically just a stronger version of nitroglycerin, which izuku found out is really cool both because it blows up when exposed to fire and because it's completely odorless which means that Kachan will never smell like sweat again. Unfortunately, nitroglycerin is also a drug so Kachan has to blow up his sweat every so often because if he touches you and has sweat on his hands then you might get sick or poisoned from over exposure. but another advantage to sweating a drug is that Kachan gets all the health benefits of taking that drug without having to worry about taking too much since his body is made for it. these benefits are mostly pain relief, but it also increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart. which among other benefits means Kachan needs less air to breath can hold his breath for much longer and if he gets an adrenaline rush it will last longer and be more potent than that of an average person.

After katsuki all the other kids in class had gotten their quirks one after the other and most of them were pretty cool and now that everyone else had their quirks there was only one kid who didn't yet - that kid was izuku midoriya

At the moment Izuku was sitting in the sandbox not really building anything just sitting and playing around with the sand and telling himself it would be ok because he would get his quirk soon and then he could play just the same way everyone else was

Izuku was sitting around the sandbox just messing around with the sand while most of the other kids were out playing with their quirks it was a little sad that he didn't have his own yet but he was sure he would get it soon and when he did his quirk would be just as cool or even better than Kachan's

izuku was kinda bored just moving the sand around and not really doing anything with it so he decided he should build something but he didn't have anything to build with no shovel or bucket to use and no water so the sand would turn into mud and stick together

izuku was wondering what he should make and how he would make it when all of a sudden he heard this quite ringing sound in his ears and it was kind of annoying so he looked around for what was causing it but didn't see anything.

There were no other kids near the sandbox and there was nothing anywhere on the playground that looked like it could be making this noise so he was a little confused when the sound kept getting louder

he looked up to see if it was a plane or something, but the sky was completely cloudless and there was nothing in sight not even a bird

The sound was still getting louder though and at his point it sounded like it was right next to his ears but it still wasn't loud enough to hurt so he kept looking all around for it he even checked the sandbox he was in incase there was something buried under all the sand but there was nothing he could find anywhere near him

At this point the sound was so loud he couldn't hear anything else and was starting to hurt his ears that's when something finally happened the sound stopped getting louder but it wasn't getting any Quieter either but izuku was too distracted to notice because all at once all the sand in the sandbox started floating and spinning around in circles like a dust storm

then slowly but surely the sand started to come together in the middle of the now empty sandbox forming something. the sand was getting packed together and smashed into each other so hard that it was practically fusing together from the force that was affecting it and from there near the bottom of the now empty sandpit a shape was becoming noticeable as the sand was still building it up

It looked like a leg, but not a persons leg although it is rare i think i Remember seeing someone with a prosthetic leg that looked a little like the one the sand is making right now, the leg wasn't very big only about the size of Izuku's own leg just much longer and a little thinner it also appeared to have two knees one that faced backward like a flamingo while the other above that one was normal

then from right next to that leg a second leg was also being formed looking almost identical to the first being a perfect mirror image

as the first leg finished forming a bridge to the second was also being created connecting the two just as the second leg was done forming

when the two legs were connected the process was suddenly much faster than it had been before as if the two legs being finished allowed whatever was making this thing to work faster

next from the middle of the bridge between the two legs it began to expand upward slightly tightening for just a moment before expanding outward rapidly in a nearly circular shape but with too many sharp edges and points to be a circle after the circular shape was done two arms sprouted at the same time as a long, wide and flat shape formed nearly instantly on its back as the thing was finally done forming in a knelling position

izuku spent several moments to observe the seemingly robotic... sculpture? that had just finished being made when he noticed several things all at once

First off that loud sound that had been bothering him was gone now that the probably robot in front of him was done being made

the second thing he noticed was that the sandpit was missing a large amount of sand leaving both him and the robot made of sand in a hole roughly 2 feet deep

the third thing izuku noticed at that moment was that all around the top of the sandpit he was in almost his entire class was crowding around the edges of the hole he was in looking at both him and the small robot next to him in curiosity and for some reason there were a few looks of caution for some reason.

and the last thing Izuku noticed was that there was a rather large hand made of sand slowly wrapping around his waist.

oh so that's why they looked cautious the sand sculpture wasn't a sculpture at all it was moving on its own and at the moment it was picking izuku up and as soon as he was off the ground it leaped over the crowd of children and was immediately running towards the woods.

Katsukui bias still third person 1 minute ago

Katsuki bakugo was currently marching through the woods singing his new theme song that he had come up with just yesterday and being followed around by the same two that usually followed him he used to call them by their names but ever since they had gotten their quirks he had started calling them by those instead namely wings and stretchy fingers

"hey Bakugo should we really be this far into the forest during recess? i thought the teacher wanted us to stay closer to the school" said fingers annoyingly " yea well i don't care what the teacher wants. if i want to walk through the woods that's exactly what ill do." stated Bakugo clearly unfearful of any punishments his teacher might try to give out due to his overwhelming greatness

Ever since his quirk came in no one had so much as raised their voice at bakugo's antics they were too busy praising him and his amazing quirk to punish the child that would obviously be a great hero in the future

so over the last eight days ever since he had gotten his quirk bakugo kept up his usual behavior and got more bold too.

He kept pushing the limits to see exactly how far his quirk would let him act out without punishment. but so far he had yet to find any limits. no matter what he did or how he acted no one got mad at him or acted like he was doing something wrong not even his usually strict mother had so much as looked at him like he was annoying her

So he kept looking for his limits and he still couldn't find them and that made something perfectly clear to katsuki bakugo

He was The Best. After all he was getting away with things the other kids would get punished for so clearly he was better than them and since he was better than them he could do whatever he wanted

that only made sense after all. What else was he supposed to think? that he was the same as everyone else when he could do more than them better than them and without any punishment at all? that's ridiculous.

so what else would the very best person who could do whatever they wanted whenever they wanted without any punishment at all do when all of a sudden, they heard the sound of children screaming and the sound of loud heavy footsteps running towards him from the direction of the playground?

of course, he would abandon the two losers following him to go run and see what everyone was screaming about and what was making those heavy footsteps

Which is exactly what katsuki bakugo was doing at that very moment. Running as fast as his legs would take him and getting a small speed boost due to the explosions he was shooting from his hands that were pointing behind him bakugo rapidly left behind the two boys following him behind and rushed over to the edge of the woods

and after only a few seconds of running and dodging through the trees swatting branches out of his way and jumping over large roots he had crossed the entire way from where he was, out of the woods now he could see what was making those loud footsteps

running in a nearly straight line towards him there was something sand colored that looked like an action figure of a robot was scaled up to be almost as big as All-Might himself, although much thinner looking like it was made for speed rather than overwhelming power

and as cool as that was what wasn't cool was that this thing had deku in its hands and he was clearly freaking out at least if the crying and trying to wiggle out of that things grip was any indication. but katsuki called him deku for a reason and he clearly wasn't getting anywhere with his escape attempt

of course, this meant that stopping that thing and rescuing his useless friend who hadn't even manifested his quirk yet was up to katsuki

although his body and quirk both were still weak due to his age katsuki's instincts had always been his best attribute and right now they were telling him he could win this fight, that despite that thing's large size it was clearly not durable due to the... Dust? or was that sand constantly falling off it? the important thing was this thing was already falling apart.

confident in his strength and with a grin already on his face katsuki let out one last big explosion behind him for a sudden boost to his speed, - unaware of the plants catching on fire from his quirk - and moved his hands Infront of him

by now with both him and the "robot" running to the other they were practically right on top of each other and so it was ridiculously easy for katsuki to place his hands out and get ready to blow it to high hell, yelling at the top of his lungs his new favorite word "DIE!"

Unfortunately, before he could even spark the explosion he had prepared to destroy it the robot moved faster than his eyes could see, and it was only thanks to the trail of dust that was constantly falling off the robot that he knew what happened

Right before the two came close enough for katsuki's explosion to hit, the robot extended its left leg forward sliding it as far as its dual knees would allow when fully extended before kicking off the ground with its right leg causing it to flip over as if it were doing a summersault without hands landing behind katsuki and continuing on its mad dash to the woods

with his mad grin turning into a pissed scowl the young explosive user - although only barley able to tell what had just happened - knew that he had failed tremendously, but not at all willing to give up and absolutely furious, he used the explosion that was meant to destroy that robot as propulsion to launch himself backwards at high speed, intent on destroying it and a small part of himself was also thinking of saving Deku. But that came after he killed that shitty robot that dared not die when he commanded it to

but due to his inexperience he failed to realize that since he was facing the wrong direction, he had no idea where he was launching himself, after the high speed blast sent him flying he hit a tree knocking the wind out of him and leaving him stunned on the ground the last thing Katsuki Bakugo saw before the world went dark was the struggling deku getting further and further away.
