Belle is whisked away in her sleep by the Nautoloid as it crashes through Earths sphere. When she awakes, she sees someone who she thought had died 20 years previously; Gus, her father, who has mysteriously survived himself in the Forgotten Realms after his disappearance. Turns out, she's not Tav; that honour goes to her father, so she tries to help him as best she can.

This isn't Char's first adventure. This is, however, the first time she's been kidnapped by monsters, forcing her to travel across the land to find her way back. As she collects other infected people, she has two objectives: find a cure for the parasite and find her way back to her family. If only she could focus as a dramatic elf seems hellbent on distracting her.
