Here we go, the start of a long adventure for J and N.
J & N Superstar Saga Chapter 1
Attackship Journey
A while later J was in the plaza by the castle with Ray. N and Vrak had gone off, she could see N talking with Uzi and V, Vrak she assumed to go prepare his Armada Attackship for the journey.
"So! Off on an adventure yet again!" Ray said to J smiling "…I am only hoping your long vacation hasn't left you rusty. You can stretch and warm up here in the plaza."
"Sure thing. I can use a bit of time to warm up for a long adventure" J said nodding.
"Oh, and I'd talk to everyone around here. Who knows what you might learn?" Ray suggests.
"Yeah, might be a good idea" J said and explores, she notices a mobion on the hedges looking around concerned and goes up to him "Something up?"
"This is just weird…I can't seem to find my precious belonging." The mobion said "J could you perhaps maybe help me look for it?"
"Sure, I have time." J said checking her internal clock.
"Good, I believe I dropped it while I was walking up here, so focus on this ledge, Okay?" The Mobion said smiling
"Sure." J said and looks around, she sees an item box and hits it to get repair nanite canister "Sweet this will heal me instantly for 25 if I use it." She puts it away and keeps looking and soon finds something precious and brings it to the mobion "Is this it?"
"Hey! That's it! That's the precious belonging I've been looking for! Thank you!" The Mobion said smiling "You're the best! The BEST! Please take this in return!" He gives her a 1-up life chip.
'Nice, this can instantly revive me when used." J said smiling and pocketing it. She then flies down and goes up to N, V and Uzi.
"Hey J, N told us the situation." Uzi said to her.
"We are aware Vrak is taking you to the Dreamland Kingdom, you sure you can trust him?" V asked.
"Not entirely but he seems adamant in undoing who this other evil force done to Blaze so for now I am willing to risk it." J said.
"Well if you're wondering where he went, he went that way." N said pointing to the archway behind him. "While you're on the adventure us three will watching over Blaze and the kingdom."
"Honestly two us staying back should be enough, N you should go with J." Uzi said.
"Nah, I just get in the way" N chuckles.
"Well I am still getting my adventuring legs back so I'll head their later" J said and the three nod. She keeps walking and sees a silver armored cyborg with a club, this was an X-Borg the second most common soldier in Vrak's army, this one was looking around worried and confused. "Uh…can I help you?"
"Oh, dear! Ack! Trouble!" The X-Borg said worried "I've gotten separate from the Armada Army…" The X-Borg said concerned "Say uh…Do you know where Emperor Vrak has gone?"
"Oh sure, he went that way." J said pointing to the arch way N directed to her before.
"Oh. Okay. Thanks. It's almost time to assemble and boy, I can't miss that! I've got to hurry!" The X-Borg said and hurries in that direction.
J continues to explore finding two more Repair Nanties, one belonged to a robot who was trying to get it but he let J keep it for the journey to Dreamland and also gave her a Super Repair Nanites which doubles the healing power, she then headed in the direction.
N followed her to see her off but just before they reach an area where the meet up was a voice called out "Miss. J!" The two look and see Uzi and V approached along with a man in a black butler suit wheeling a cybernetic suitcase. This was Alfred Pennyworth, butler and caretaker of Blaze.
"Alfred what's up?" J asked
"It seems I arrived just in time." Alfred said and hands J the suitcase "I have prepared a suitcase for you to take for the long journey. I'm quite sure it will prove useful, as it holds many items and outfits. Please take it!"
"You should this suitcase is one I worked on, it's able to shrink down to fit in a pocket so you won't be stuck lugging it around." Uzi explained.
"Sure this" J said and puts the items she gathered into it and then shrinks it down and puts it into her pocket
"Once you board the Armada Attackship, you can take your time looking through the various things already inside." V said and J nods in agreement.
"Now I have one more parting gift, as it were: some funds for your trip! Here you go…" Alfred hands a bag filled with 100 Rings.
"Wow thanks" J said smiling happily as she goes to put it in the case.
"Hm?" Alfred said looking at N "Oh! Master N! Are you going to the Dreamland Kingdom as well?"
"What? Oh no, I am merely going with J to the meet up to see her off." N said shaking his head.
"I see, a good idea!" Alfred said smiling "Let all four of us go and do that for Miss. J."
"Sure, hey J, me, Uzi and Alfred will go on ahead and meet you by the Armada Attackship." V said and the three do so.
J finishes sorting the case and puts it away "Alright, let's go N." J said and N nods and follows her.
They reach the meet up area and see Alfred, Uzi, V, Ray and the X-Borg J helped earlier there waiting. There was also a large blue ship with Vrak's Armada logo on the side and on a flag, the two side parts that connected the engines resembled dragons a change Vrak made from his fathers that resembled horses instead. Also a platform that is one way into the ship was there between the two dragons. This was an outdoor observation platform.
"J!" Vrak is heard and J sees him on the observation platform looking annoyed "You're late! What were you doing?!"
"Sorry, been on vacation since last time I dealt with you so I had to get my adventuring feet back" J said.
"Well we're leaving! Right now! So get on board, and make it snappy!" Vrak told her.
"Alright, I'm coming" J sighs and flies up and lands on the platform next to Vrak.
Vrak laughs and looks at J "Well? What do you think of my newly designed Armada Attackship! I used my father's old version as base and changed the design in some areas and made some additional improvements, this is the first of this new design off the production line and I am having more made to serve as extra backups."
"I like it, very you." J said nodding.
"Hmm…Yes, I figured…Now all that's left is my Armada Army to come aboard…" Vrak said nodding and calls out "Soldiers Assemble!"
Vrak looks and only sees the X-Borg J helped and N smiling and waving as he said "So long J! Good luck!" Everyone else looks at Vrak concerned.
"GRRR! WHERE ARE THEY?!" Vrak yelled out in anger. He then looks at N confused "What this devil…? Hey! You! Are you signing up to join the New Armada army?" N laughs happily unaware Vrak was talking to him as the others look concerned. Vrak chuckles saying "I see! You really want me to bring you along that badly, huh?"
"Pssst! N! He's talking to you!" Uzi loudly whispered to get N's attention
"Huh? Wait, me?!" N said surprised.
"Yes, I'm referring to you." Vrak said nodding.
"What?! N-No! No! I don't want to come along!" N said shaking his head.
"Hahahahah! That's rich!" Vrak laughed "No need to be modest Mr. Meek Drone, you honestly look like you'd be a pain, but I'll take you anyway!"
"Oh biscuits!" N said and moves and head to leave the area.
"Hey, you! Stop!" Vrak called out.
Just then N is knocked back into the area spinning and he falls over, as another X-Borg enters the area and said "Your highness! The Soldiers have arrived!" He then turns around and calls out "Hey! The assembly area is over here, you blithering idiots!"
N recovers and panics as the Armada Army forms with one line of X-Borgs which included the one J helped get here first, another line with X-Borgs in red armor instead of silver and a final line made up of small robots with a cube-shaped heads, pairs of teeth, round eyes with a glowing red lights with eyelids, antenna topped with a red glowing light and wielding black sticks topped with a red electrical orbs in their left hands. They were Fodders the first most common enemy of the Armada army. N panics as they block the way to escape.
"Soldiers! Fall in!" The commanding X-Borg said and the army stands at attention "Now move out!" The troops move close to the ship forcing N to get closer too as he's right in front. "All troops have assembled! We shall now begin boarding the Armada Attackship!"
As the army begins to board the ship, starting with the Fodders. N seeing an opening uses this as a chance to sneak away.
"He is going to end up going, isn't he?" Uzi asked.
"No doubt" V said chuckling.
As soon as the last of the troops board, Vrak laughs and said "Good! Then we can depart! Not to mentioned an increased head count too!"
"My lord! Boarding is now complete!" The lead X-Borg said saluting but adds "…Except for on deserter…"
"WHAAAT?!" Vrak said in anger "MOVE IT YOU INCOMPETENCE! INITIATE ATTACKSHIP PURSUIT!"
"Woah! Hang on Vrak it's…" J said but it was too late the ships engines roar to life and it takes off to chase after N.
N looks and sees the Armada Attackship chasing him and he flees to escape it but it was too fast and grabs him with a mechanical hand and pulls him inside before launching into the sky.
"Oh biscuits!" N cried out.
"Well…looks like it's up to us to keep the kingdom saft for a while" V said and Uzi nods while Alfred sighs.
We come to a while later in the skies above the Sol Kingdom. J had gone to the cargo hold to check on N who was sad he had to come along but J assured him that together they can do well. They then spent the time down their waiting and relaxing while the journey was happening.
"Hey! You! Down in the ships' cargo! J and…What's-your-name! Male drone!" A voice said and J and N see a speaker and go to it "J! And…Mr. Male J fellow drone! Look alive down there, will you two? We're about to arrive in the Dreamland Kingdom! Report to the deck pronto when ready."
"Well, you ready to move N?" J asked him.
"As I'll ever be J, thanks for giving me access to the suitcase as well so I can use the items we acquire as well." N said smiling.
"Well you'd be in a pickle if I were to go down while in combat" J said as they leave to head to the deck.
As they moved they see Various X-borgs working and talking amongst themselves. They also find blocks to get extra money to use in Dreamland. In the next area they see an X-Borg taking pictures of other X-borgs who in cue waiting.
J and N keep moving but the photographer X-Borg called out to them saying "Hey there! You two!"
"Huh? You mean us?" N asked as he and J looked
"Yeah! You drones!" The Photographer X-Borg said and goes to them "You're about to enter the Dreamland Kingdom, so you have you're passports with you, right?"
"Um…do we have our passports with us N?" J asked thinking
"I don't know…I didn't even know we had them in the first place." N said thinking.
The Photographer X-Borg sees the suitcase in J's pocket and said "Well, it looks like you've got a suitcase there…Tell you what, let's all look in there and see. Okay?"
"Sure." J said gets the suitcase out and opening it and indeed the three find two passports one with J's name on it and another with N's name on it.
"Aha! I see you've got them right here." The Photographer X-Borg said smiling. "Shiny new passports! There's no greater joy"
"Huh, guess Uzi was sure I'd end up coming along to include mine." N said smiling.
"But wait…WHAT?!" The Photographer X-Borg said.
"What's wrong?" J asked worried.
"There aren't any photos!" The Photographer said pointing to the lack of picture on both "These won't get you into the Dreamland Kingdom! No, sir, no way, no how!"
"That isn't good!" J said worried.
"If we can't get into the kingdom how can we hope to rescue Blaze's voice!" N said panicked.
"Relax, don't wig out. It'll be fine if we just take the pictures here right now. In fact that is my job here to make sure the entire crew's passports are up to date and correct." The Photographer X-Borg said smiling. "Plus, since the mighty Emperor Vrak has called you to the deck I will allow you to cut the line and have them done quickly."
"Oh yeah thank you so much." N said with a happy smile
"Yes, we much appreciate this." J said with a smile
"Hey we're all on the same side for now, least we can do." The Photographer X-Borg said "Besides snapping photos is easy!" He points to a mat in front of the camara with footprints on it "Just that on that mat right there once you're ready. Hurry!" He goes to behind the camera.
"I'll go first." J said as she stands on the mat.
"Mr. Male Drone, you step back." The Photogrpaher X-Borg said.
"On it" N said and steps back.
"Okay! I'm going to take it!" The Photographer X-Borg said "Oh and if you want to have a pose for it please position yourself and hold it before I reach zero. Ready, say Chumps!"
"Chumps!" J said with a pose of her hands on her hips with a smile as the photo is taken.
"Now Mr. Male Drone. You're next." The Photographer X-Borg said. J and N switch places "Here we go, say chumps!"
"Chumps!" N said with a pose of him smiling with a salute as his photo was taken.
"Great! I've taken the passport photos for both of you!" The Photographer X-Borg said putting the pictures onto the passports "Aren't we all happy now? Happy all around!"
"Thanks" J said taking them and she puts them back in the suitcase and the two drones carry on. Acquiring some more Repair Nanites as they do.
The soon come to a barrel and J pushes it causing it to crash and break apart. The soon come to an X-Borg who noticed and said "Hey! Watch it, don't break the great Vrak's cargo! It's important stuff!"
"So sorry, we're in a bit of a hurry." J said
"Which way to the observation deck?" N asked
"The deck?" The X-Borg said and points to an opening on the other side of the ares "It's just up ahead. Uh…but before you go, best to make sure you don't slow Emperor Vrak down…So get some practice in fighting as a pair."
"How so?" N asked
The X-Borg points to the nearby barrel shaking "In those barrels we're storing up the Fodders, easier to get them across since they can't actually qualify for a Passport, anyway this makes them rowdy, you're free break them open and fight them to calm them down if you like."
"Sure thing." J said and breaks open the barrel and she and N face against two Fodders. J opens with a standed slash and kick on one.
N follows up finishing the one J hit with a similar move. "Yeah! Perfect teamwork!"
"Just one to go!" J said as she sees it coming at her swinging it's rod but J jumps and jumps off it's head damaging it. She then attacks it with the slash and kick finishing it off.
"All too easy" N said smiling.
"Yeah but we should get more practise in when we can." J said with a nod.
The two kept moving fighting more Fodders, they even helped an X-Borg struggling to get two Fodders under control to be stored into barrels and helped him out while learning about surprise attacks they can use to get the drop on enemies for some early damage. Natually they felt stronger after these battles.
They keep going and come to an area blocked off so they can't get to the deck.
"Hey J, I think that switch above activates the crane to pick up these barrels." N said
"Let's see" J said and goes and hits it and a claw lowers and everyone including the three X-Borgs in the room watch it slowly move.
claw,ight Mr. claw please move the middle barrel!" N said smiling. However the claw stops over N "Huh?"
"What's it doing?" J asked confused.
The answer came when the claw lowers and grabs N and picks him up. Both drones scream and J tries to get him but he was sent off to be up above outside. J sweat drops at that.
"Uh-oh! Looks like the crane mistook you for cargo…" An X-Borg said "That looks….uncomfortable."
"It's not so bad…if I don't move too much." N said.
"Hey! Since you're up there, why don't we use you as lookout!" The X-Borg suggested.
"Sounds like a plan" J said shrugging.
"Okay…" N said.
We come to the Observation deck where J and Vrak stood, hanging about them was N with binoculars still hancing by the crane.
"So Vrak, who is watching over the Amarda stronghold while you're here?" J asked him.
"I have Ittasha watching over it while I'm away, but I left my 7 Generals with her to utilize if something happens." Vrak said.
"I see, good to know" J said nodding.
An X-Borg comes out to the three and said bowing "My Emperor! We will soon pass over the border between the Sol and Dreamland Kingdoms!"
"Hmm! Good work! You can go back belowdecks. Now." Vrak said nodding. The X-Borg bows and does so.
N sees something and calls out "Oh no! This is bad!"
"What is it N?!" J asked concerned
"Yes what's with all the hoopla!" Vrak said annoyed. He then turns and a blast shot hitting hear him knocks him back and onto the ground under N, he recovers but the shot also got N free and he falls onto Vrak knocking him into a dazed state.
"Oh! Sorry Vrak!" N said getting off him.
Vrak stands up annoyed and said "Grr! What now? Huh?" He goes over to the front.
Just then Salem on her Grimm Throne flies up laughing, and J and N get into a battle stance. Salem smirks and said "Who would have thought you'd be able to catch up with me, Salem, in even a hundred million years?"
"You!" Vrak said "So you must be the one behind the kidnapping of Blaze's voice! How dare you pull off an admittingly good plan?"
"Hahahaha! Oh I indeed do dare" Salem laughing mockingly.
"That voice isn't yours to keep!" J said angry.
"Yeah, you have to return it!" N said also angry.
"Oh, but stealing it was only part one of my grand plan!" Salem said smirking "Now I'm going straight to Dreamland Kingdom to enact the next phase of my plan! Sadly I have no time to chat with you lot!" Salem turns around "Cyn!" Cyn flies up to her with her helmet device "Take care of this!" She flies off.
"Grrrr! HOLD IT!" Vrak said annoyed extending his wings
"Cackle, cackle! Laugh!" Cyn said flying up to them "I am the great Salem's loyal servant and pupil known as Cyn! I am currently laughing at you! If you're going to chase us to get your silly princess's voice back then you are truly foolish. Princess Blaze's voice will soon be the catalyst for Salem's desires! And this battle will be only the starting course of doom! Blast shot!"
When she said blast shot the nozzle transforms and shoots a green blast at Vrak knocking him away into a wall and down onto the ground surprising the two hero drones.
"Vrak! Hurry get up!" J called out
"I think that one really knocked him into a longer daze!" N said worried.
"We need to wake him up so we can take on….huh? Where did she go?" J said looking back to see Cyn gone.
"I don't know" N said as they both approached.
Cyn then appears floating behind them saying "Mocking laugh!" This surprised them as they turned around "Now it is your turn, buddies."
"Let's go N!" J said getting ready to fight.
"You got it J!" N said also ready.
J opens up first attacking Cyn by leaping up and slashing at her with a spin so hit twice and lands back in her starting spot. N goes next doing a similar move.
"Twintails fire!" Cyn called out
"Huh?" J said and was hit by a blast fired from the helmet device. "Ow dammit…" J said and attacks the evil drone with a spin slash. N follows up with a similar move.
"Ow….ugh…" Vrak groaned coming around, he then moves round to J and N's side "Hey, I know how you can dodge that joker's attacks."
"Sure, how?" N asked J nodding
"Okay, listen carefully to what she says…carefully…" Vrak whisped to them.
"That mumbling! Knock it off!" Cyn said annoyed "Twintails fire!"
Vrak groand and said "When he says that she is aiming for you J!"
"Woah!" J yelped and jumps managing to avoid the shot.
"All enemies have a hint in their attacks. So keep an eye out for them" Vrak explain and goes back to his original spot.
"Twintails fire!" Cyn said again and fires another shot at J which she dodges.
J then jumps and spin slashes at Cyn doing more damage and N does the same.
"Are you prepared for this smilely drone?!" Cyn said mockingly and her helmet fires a shot at N which he dodges, it fires an additional shot at J and she dodges it.
J again jumps and spin slashes at Cyn doing more damage and N does the same. The helmet short circuits and shakes and explodes dropping Cyn onto the ground
"Recovering…standing….Now I will ram you." Cyn said standing up. She then moves and flails at N hitting him for some damage.
J then runs up slashes and jump kicks Cyn, N does the same both doing equel damage. Cyn then moves to frail at J but she jumps up then down on her head doing some additional damage. Both J and N then do the same attacks as before. The process repeats with Cyn alternating who to frail at until N hits her with on final attack.
"Owie!" Cyn said rubbing her head "Growl…how can these two get the best of me? Headgear!" She presses a button on her wrist device and another similar headgear flies down and attaches to her head "I HAVE FURY!"
"What are you up to?" J asked.
"Now is the time not to talk to you as you are foul smelling roses to sniff!" Cyn said mockingly "I shall deal with you with one fell swoop! Rapid fire!" Her helmet then fires multiple shots at the Armada Attack ship in different areas "Cackle! Cackle! Laugh!" She then flies away
"Hey! Get back here!" J called out.
However pursuit was impossible as areas of the ship began to explode and the ship begins to lose altitude.
"The ships are going critical! It's going to explode!" An X-Borg announces.
"Not good!" N cried out as the Armada Attackship explodes
We come to a bunker base somewhere nearby the border as a trooper in white and blue armour was looking through some microbinoculars
"Commander Cody! A massive explosion has been sighted!" The trooper said to another in whaite and orange armour
"Confirmation! I need Confirmation!" The one known as Cody said.
The other looks and indeed sees J and N falling like meteorites to the ground and said "Commander Cody! Meteorites confirmed!" He watches where they land and they do and said "Impact Stardust Fields! Initiate Recon!"
"Emergency! Emergency!" Cody said.
Well that could have gone better, now with the loss of the Attackship, J and N will have to make the rest of the journey to Dreamland Kingdom on foot.
