The Dynamic Duel
During the past few weeks, there hasn't been any villain sightings in weeks. Leo, Po and The Furious Five did train in those weeks in case The Dragon Soldier shows up. After training, Shifu would send Leo, Po and one of the Furious Five out to find any clues and the whereabouts of James. But they haven't found anything. Sometimes on those missions, Leo will tell them go on without him to double check if they missed anything, but sadly nothing came up. One day, Mantis, Viper, Crane and Monkey were playing a game of mahjong.
"Ugh." Monkey groaned. "This game is more boring than my Auntie Chu's acupuncture stories!" He knocks his tiles over in the pile of tiles. "Why does it have to be so slow around here?"
Viper giggles silently in response as she covered her mouth with her tail.
"Because there haven't been any villains sighted in weeks." Crane answered. "Even The Dragon Soldier."
"Well, I don't like it." Tigress said, causing the others to look at her leaning against the wall. "I wish something would happen. Anything."
Po comes in and leans against the right wall of the entrance, waving a piece of paper. Tigress ignores the panda. The rest of the five watches Po walking and waving the piece of paper as if it was a fan. The Furious Five was aware that Po wants them to ask him about the paper in his paw.
"Po, what's going on?" Crane asked with curiosity.
"Not much." Po smug with an attitude. "Except this was delivered this morning by a special messenger to yours truly." He puts the paper down on the table moves it to Crane.
Crane read the letter. "The esteemed General Tsin requests a private audience with the Dragon Warrior at his country estate!" Crane said surprised.
Po picks up the paper. "My hero!" Po smiled.
"Wow." Mantis. "The Legendary General Tsin wants to see Po?"
"What?" Tigress asked disbelief.
Po turns his head towards her with a smug look. "Jealous?"
Tigress turns her head away from him in denial. "I don't get jealous." Tigress replied.
Monkey walks over to Po and puts his hand over his mouth to appear discreet. "She gets even." Monkey said to Po, making his voice loud enough for Tigress to hear.
Zeng enters the kitchen, dragging Po's suitcase. "All packed, Master Po." Zeng informs him before leaving.
"I hope you realize what an honor this is, Po." Tigress said to Po as he walks over and picks up his suitcase.
"You are kidding?" Po asks her. "Genral Tsin is one of my idols! He's one of the most bodaciously awesome warriors in the history of China! Hero in the battle of Shin Huan! Deliverer of the Siege of Chu Lung! Destroyer of the Hun in that war where the Huns got destroyed! But with no enemies left to fight, he retired... tragically... dramatically! Whereabouts unknown. Until now, by me!" He was about to walk out.
"Po." Shifu said, standing in the doorway and causing the Dragon Warrior to stop. "The general is major benefactor to the Jade Palace. We count on his support."
"I know." Po agreed. "I got to make a good impression. I got to show him I'm General Tsin worthy." He slightly raises his head in determination. "I gotta bring it."
"Heh heh." Mantis chuckled, jumping onto the suitcase. "How are you going to do that?"
"I recommend..." Tigress was saying with smug look on her face to Po as she walks by. "Not going."
"Are you planning on giving him these friendship bracelets?" Mantis asked, taking out two bracelets.
Po looks at the others. "No..."
The Furious Five shook their head in disapproval. Shifu sighs in disappointment.
"No! No no." Po smiles nervously. Everyone in the room maintained their skepticism. "Heh. Don't worry, I'll show him I'm worthy cause I have a hero's heart right here in my-" Po was saying as he bends down to pick up his suitcase. As soon as he did that, his pants ripped. The Dragon Warrior straightens up and puts his paws behind him, grabbing his pants. "Pants." Po said, embarrassed. He bends back down to picks up the suitcase from the table and backs away, not letting them all to have chance to look at his ripped pants. As Po was out of the kitchen, he turns and runs by Leo down the hall.
"I see that Po left to have a private audience with the general." Leo said, walking in the kitchen.
"Yes he has, Leo." Shifu said. "Did you find James yet?"
"No, master." Leo answered. "He's very tough to find."
"What can you tell us about the Dragon Soldier before you found James is alive?" Shifu asked.
"The Dragon Soldier is a very tough assassin." Leo replied. "He's very formidable in a fight. The Dragon Soldier can easily infiltrate a heavily fortified base and kills his target."
"Damn." Crane said. "And you still don't know who's he working for?"
"No." Leo shook his head. "The Dragon Soldier is well trained after fighting him. Whoever trained James to become like this, they're a dangerous group we shouldn't take lightly."
"We'll figure this out, Leo." Viper said.
Around noon time, Leo exits the library and sees Shifu and Po entering the Hall Of Heroes. "So how'd it go?" Leo asked.
"Po set the most dangerous criminals in China and imprisoned the Jade Palace's contributor." Shifu answered.
Leo looks at the Dragon Warrior with an angry look. "Are you fucking crazy?!" Leo shouted angrily.
"Leo, wait, let me explain!" Po raises his hands in defense.
Leo lets out a sigh. "Fine." Leo growled.
Po began to explain everything. After he finished explaining about fifteen minutes, Leo hung and shook his head as he couldn't' believe it. "I think you and the general are both fucking crazy." Leo said.
"I know, but what was I supposed to do?" Po asked him.
"Come back and tell us instead of releasing those villains out there in China." Leo said, folding his arms.
"Heh heh." Po chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his head.
"So what do we do now, Shifu?" Leo asks him.
"We'll do our normal every routines until one of them show up." Shifu answered.
"That's good." Leo said as he began to walk by Po and Shifu.
"Where are you going, Leo?" Po asked.
"Going to take a walk around the village." Leo answered, looking over shoulder.
"Alright if I come with you?" Po asked.
"If you want to." Leo answered.
Leo and Po left the Jade Palace and walks down the stairs to the village below. It's a peaceful day in the Valley Of Peace. The Dragon Warrior said hi to some of the villagers as Leo only nodded his head and said hello to some of them. Everyone in the valley would say, "Hi Leo" or "Good Afternoon, Leo" instead of calling him "Master Leo". Shifu, Po and the Furious Five were surprised to hear Leo didn't wanted to be called "Master" or "Master Leo" the next day after Leo and Tigress started dating when he was still injured.
The seven masters asked Leo why he didn't want to be called "Master" or "Master Leo". Leo told them that he just wanted to be called Leo and didn't want to continue the conversation. Leo told the masters he'll explain when he's ready. They were a little worried, but they respect his decision. Word spread out in the Valley Of Peace. The villagers were confused about it, but they didn't press the matter whenever Leo comes down from the Jade Palace on his own or with the other Masters of the Jade Palace.
As the two of them were walking in the village, Po notices Leo was walking towards the entrance of the village. "Hey Leo, where you're going?" the Dragon Warrior asked him.
The human stops and turns around. "To the entrance of the village." Leo answered. "I come down here sometimes on one of my usually walks around the village."
"Oh." Po said, walking up to him.
When Leo turns around, he spotted the Dragon Soldier standing several feet away from the entrance of the village. "James!" Leo gasps.
The Dragon Soldier turns around and started running quickly. Leo started to chase him without a second thought as Po started to run too. The chase went on for half an hour. Leo had his complete attention on James. He took a giant leap and tackles him to the ground as they were in a open clearing.
Leo jumps backwards to land on his feet. James got up as the two started panting looking at one another.
"James, this isn't who you want to be." Leo spoke. "Whatever group that saved you, they're killing people. You have to break free from their control."
The Dragon Soldier ignore the comment.
"If you do this," Leo slowly draws his diamond sword, "Then I'll have to break their hold over you." He quickly charges at James and tries to punch him, but his punch was blocked from James's arm.
James didn't waste time by delivering a good punch across the face. He takes out his tactical knife and tries to stab Leo. Leo was able to block the stab to his face and leg. They their blades against one another. James seems to have the upper hand with his fast punches, but Leo was able to dodge the punches.
"Ngh!" Leo grunted a bit as the knife grazed against his skin. He did a spinning backfist to James's face and landed a cut on his leg.
James tries to stab and punch Leo at the same time, forcing Leo to catch the punch and Jamee's wrist. The knife was getting close to Leo's shoulder. In a surprising move, Leo jumps and did a side spin that caught Jake off guard as Leo did a spinning hook kick to kick the knife out of the assassin's hand. The knife went flying over the edge and fell down the cliff.
"HAA!" James yelled, tackling Leo.
The two went off the cliff and landed on a curved boulder where the knife landed.
"Gah!" Leo grunted as his back hit the ground. He got up and turns around to see James laying a couple feet ahead of him. Leo notices his weapon was above him. He snarls as he charges at Jake. The Dragon Soldier quickly stood up and blocks a couple punches from Leo. James delivered two quick kicks to the shin and stomach before sweeping Leo off his feet. The Dragon Soldier picks up and sheathes his knife.
"Ha!" James yelled as he jumps in the air.
Leo rolls left to dodge the downward punch and quickly got back up. He caught both of James's punches at the same time, but Jake did a hard headbutt to stun him and punches him hard against the chest. Leo flew and rolled on the ground until he was lying face forward on the ground. The Dragon Soldier dove to punch Leo, but Leo jumps up with a strong uppercut to the jaw and did a palm strike to the chest.
"Ngh!" the Dragon Soldier grunted as he hit the ground.
Before Leo can take a step forward, Saber landed several feet away from them.
"Groar!" Saber roared.
"Oh you've gotta be fucking kidding me, damnit!" Leo cursed as he kept his guard up.
James stands up and saw Saber as well and he puts his guard as well.
"This duel just went into a fucking triple fight." Leo thought.
Leo and James took a quick glance at one another before they at Saber. The tiger roared and slams her paw against their fists. After their attack collided, Leo quickly punches James in the stomach before jumping and tried to do a axe kick to Saber's head. She saw it coming and grabs his kick with her sharp teeth. Saber slams him down to the ground two times before throwing him to the top of the cliff.
"Gyah!" James yelled as he threw in some fast jabs to the side of her face.
The monster tries to do a spinning swipe, but James quickly did a backflip to dodge it. Before he can strike back, Saber did a back kick that sent the Dragon Soldier to the wall. This gave Leo to attack from above and slams both of his fists on her head. As he landed, Leo quickly threw in some quick jabs and elbow strikes. James caught him from behind to prevent him from escaping. He kicks Leo down on one knee.
Leo slams the back of his head to stun the Dragon Soldier and flips him over on his back. The tiger pounces on the ground as Leo jumps backward and James rolls out of the way. The Dragon Soldier takes his knife out and jumps onto the monster's back and stabs her.
"Groar!" she cries out in pain.
Leo came in with a flying sidekick that kicks James and the knife out of Saber's back. He did a knee strike to James's face and was force to dodge Saber's claw as she slashes his chest down to the stomach.
"ARGH!" James shouts in pain before Saber slams her paw hard to send him flying into the wall causing a rockslide that covered him except his face and left arm.
The monster roared as she grabs Leo with her jaws and slams him against the wall hard. She lets go of him, watching the injured human slide onto his ass. Leo coughed, spitting blood out of his mouth. His shirt was completely torn. Things weren't looking good. Leo was trying to figure out a on how to end this brawl. There was one way to end this and it was extremely risky.
"Let's see..." Leo spits blood out of his mouth. "If you can survive this!" He stood up, facing Saber.
Meanwhile, the Dragon Warrior was running through the bamboo forest, trying to find Leo and the Dragon Soldier. He called out to Leo to wait up, but Leo ignored his plea. Po stops running a couple times. The last time he saw Leo was chasing the Dragon Soldier on the branches of the bamboo. He stops running and looks around. "Where are you, Leo?" He muttered, wondering where he could be.
But he heard a loud explosion and a roar from his left. Po began to run towards the site of the explosion.
At the site was a huge pile of debris. Leo pushes the boulder that was crushing his shoulder. He grasps his shoulder and stands up. Leo slowly drags himself a couple feet away from the rubble. He collapses on the ground and looks over his shoulder. Saber's tail can bee seen sticking out from underneath. He turns around fully to see Jake knocked out from the debris. Leo picks himself up and walks over to James.
He kneels down to lift the rocks off of James. Leo drags him out a couple feet from the boulder and laid him down on the ground. As Leo was about to check for a pulse, James eyes slowly opened.
"Gya..." James moans as he sits up. "What... Where..." He notices Leo kneeling next him. "L-Leo...?"
"Who... am I... speaking to...?" Leo panted.
"Lee is your Master..." James answered. "He taught you Tiger Style..." Before he can continue, there was a low growl coming from the huge pile of debris. The two men turns their attention towards the debris.
"Groar!" Saber roared, bursting through the debris.
"Damnit!" Leo lets out a low growl, grasping his shoulder.
"Grr!" Sabr snarls in pain.
"Leo!"
Leo looks over his shoulder and gasps. He saw the Dragon Warrior running out of the bushes.
"Whoa!" Po gasps in shock, stopping himself to run as he looks at the injured Dragon Soldier and Saber.
Saber shook the dust off her fur and looks the two injured men and the Dragon Warrior. Leo steps in front of James with his diamond sword, getting into his tiger stance. He was breathing slowly as he tried to stay focus. But James picks himself up from the ground and stood in front of Saber with his arms spread out.
"Gr!" Saber hisses at the two of them.
"Ha!" Leo hissed back.
Saber lets out a small growl and walks away from them. James lowered his arms and turns around in time to see Leo falling forward. James caught him and felt something slid in his pocket.
"Are you two alright?!" Po called, running up to the two injured men. "What the hell did you do?!"
"He's injured and hurt pretty bad." James explains, removing the helmet. "From that thing who attacked the two of us."
James let Leo go into the Dragon Warrior's arms. Leo's blood was mixing into the Dragon Warrior's fur. He turns around and slowly walks away.
"Wait!" Po exclaims, placing a paw on the Dragon Soldier that causes him to turn around. "You're injured too. You need to come with us to the Valley Of Peace."
"I'm not going with you." James said. "Leo freed me from their... control. Not until I find the ones who helped me survived my fall that day and make them pay."
"But-" Po was saying.
"N-no... Po..." Leo moans, gently grasping the panda's fur as Po looks at him. "Le-let him go..."
The Dragon Warrior stares at him and looks at James. He nodded his head in agreement. "Fine." Po said. "But I think this is a bad idea."
"It's not." James said. "If I stop them, they're finished."
"I hope so." Po said. "But what will you do after you're finished?"
"To return home." the Dragon Soldier replied, looking at his surroundings. "If I find a way to get back to our world."
"How the hell did you end up here?" Po asked.
"Not sure to be honest." James said. "I better get moving and so do you."
"James..." Leo said, stretching out a bloody hand. "Good... to se..."
"Save your strength." James said. "Good luck."
Po watches him turns around and slowly walks away. The Dragon Warrior turns and started running back to the Valley Of Peace with Leo in his arms and the diamond sword resting on Leo. Leo needed a doctor and a healer. Po made it back to the valley and got to him a hospital. The human was quickly rushed to a bed. Po waited outside of the room in the area, hoping Leo will be okay.
This chapter was fun to worked on. Now that Po seen Saber, what do you all think is going to happen now? I won't explain how James survived and became the Dragon Soldier. That won't be explained yet. So I hope you enjoyed this chapter and don't forget to leave a review!
