Stars move slowly in the silvery night...
It was happening all over again. Naraku had sold his soul, and his plan was set into motion but was there to stop him before he even had a chance to get to Kikyo.
The half-demon was confused. Something was amiss.
"I sense something about you," He said, looking and sounding like Inuyasha but unlike Kikyo, she was not fooled. It made her wonder, how Kikyo had been.
Kagome raised her arrow and he watched with horrified eyes as her arrow took on a power he had never felt before. She did not hesitate, she shot him. He died, the end, that simple. She went to the ground as it hit her. They had fought so hard and still died and yet it, this was so simple.
Suddenly she felt weak and tired. She looked up and hoped that Sesshomaru was doing his part. She was unsure if she would ever see him again.
He there. Without Naraku around Kikyo and Inuyasha's plan was set to move forward. They planned on making him human. The problem was the wish would be tainted, so no matter what he did Inuyasha was going to hate his brother, but Sesshomaru did not care.
Kikyo and Inuyasha looked at Sesshomaru, but his eyes were on her.
"Io what are you looking at her for!"
"You should not be here," He told her,
She was quiet for a moment "I see,"
"What do you mean, you see!" Inuyasha exclaimed.
"The human-turned half-breed has been dealt with,"
"I feel her," Kikyo told him,
"Feel who?" Inuyasha looked back and forth between them as day turned into late afternoon.
"Why are you here?" She asked him and he looked at the jewel in her hand,
"You plan to stop us?" She asked,
He held out his hand "It must go to her," The jewel in Kagome's body was not whole, just as she was not whole.
"Go to who!" Inuyasha cried out "Will someone tell me what the hell is going on!"
Kikyo inhaled and held out the jewel.
"Io you're just gonna give it to him!"
"He does not seek its power," She knew, he was right.
Sesshomaru took the jewel.
"I will explain Inuyasha," She looked at him "Come,"
Sesshomaru watched as they took their leave of him and he looked down at the jewel. He narrowed his eyes at the damn thing. It should not have such power. He turned and made his way to Kagome. The sky was turning navy when he found her sitting in the field. Panting, slightly bent over.
He walked to her and held the jewel in front of her face.
She hardly had the energy to look up at him.
"I am going to die now," She said as she took the jewel and popped it off the necklace "I dont know what is supposed to happen to the jewel after this," She stared at it, "Burn it with my body I guess, but make sure, no matter what, that no one does what they did to Kikyo do you hear me demon,"
He raised an elegant eyebrow "Do you think to order me around human?"
She half smiled as tears formed in her eyes. She didnt want to die. She didnt even get a chance to see Miroku and Sango again, she assumed somehow they would meet and what was to be would be.
Kagome closed her eyes and let her tears fall.
Suddenly though, she felt herself picked up.
Sesshomaru held her, seeing her body fade in and out. She held the jewel close and laid her head on his shoulder. "Thank you," She whispered.
He said nothing. He didnt know what possessed him to pick her up, he just did. He looked up to the starry sky.
"You have a second chance," She said "Dont waste please,"
He looked down at her. It was an odd feeling for him because all the things that happened to her timeline would not happen in this one.
"Do you regret this?" He asked,
"Yes, no," She whispered looking up at him. "You were right, I didnt have time,"
His eyes grew slightly wide as he understood what she was saying, "Hn, I would have offered,"
This time her eyes grew wide "Who are you and what have you done with my Sesshomaru?"
"Yours?" He asked,
"You know what I mean," She smiled slightly and he looked at her pale human lips. She was fading.
"Hn," He leaned down and pressed his mouth to hers. She took in a deep breath and pressed her back against his. It was warm and soft and safe, and oddly, it felt completely normal until she wasn't there in his arms anymore.
Time seemed to shift. beforehand time moved so fast and now, at least to him, it seemed to move very slowly.
Calling all readers I am in need of help! I am a mother of 5, which means im overworked and underpaid (aren't we all)
I have 2 going to college and one sweet little girl, baby Seraphina who I am desperate to get into preschool. I found an opening for her which means I am going to have to back to work a few days a week to be able to afford it. My husband a firefighter already works 120 hours a week, we hardly see him and we live paycheck to paycheck sadly.
I write because it is my love and passion and while I wish my books were doing better, they aren't really selling and that's ok, im still glad I wrote them. Anyway, I am asking for help from all my fans. I need to come up with $175 for the registration fee! If you can buy a book OR if you love my fanfic and can donate to my time I would greatly greatly appreciate it right now. I know times are hard so if you cant, I understand and no worries I won't give up writing!
