I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the OC known as Danielle Hopkins. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.

Chapter Seven

It has been a few days since the girls learned about Eda's curse and utilizing what they now call glyphs. Granted, Danielle was looking all over for glyphs after wondering if she could find them in nature much like how she found the Light Glyph. Even after explaining it to Eda, it had gotten Luz exploring for them as well. Though as much as Danielle found them, Luz was having a hard time as they were looking fuzzy and hard to decipher. Watching the ripples of the Boiling Sea yielded the Water Glyph. Accidently shocking each other cause of static yielded the Lightning Glyph, though not wanting to do that again since it was a bad shock. Studying the bark and leaves of trees nearby yielded the Plant Glyph and the Wood Glyph. Staring intently at a lit candle yielded the Fire Glyph. On occasions, Willow and Gus would come over, surprised to see the two utilizing magic already. Today though was a market day, helping Eda with her stand.

"Emboldened by the dishonor Hecate had shown, Azura lifted her staff to the cotton-candy skies and shouted, "I challenge you to a Witch's Duel!"" said Luz, reading her book to King. "And look! I drew a flip book. Pew, pew, pew!"

"Show me the picture," said King, peeking over the top of the book.

"What?" asked Luz, looking at King.

"Show me the picture!" said King, as Luz turned the book around. "Hah! I can draw better than that. You know, they once called me the King of Artists."

"Wait. I thought you were the King of Demons," said Luz, looking at King. "Are you just making this up now?"

"Doesn't matter," said King, looking at Luz. "What's important is that my followers would leave me offerings in fear of me!"

"Well, I can offer you more of this tantalizing book," said Luz, before Danielle snatched her book away. "Hey!"

"No offense Luz," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "But I've had enough Azura for one day. Why not try reading the first volume of the Henry Quilter series? I actually have the first three with me right now."

"Nope," said Luz, snatching her book back.

"I agree with Danielle. I've had enough for one day," said Eda, dusting the stand. "Its flowery language is an insult to witches and driving away all of our serious customers!"

"Um, Eda?" said Luz, staring at Eda then the empty streets. "What customers? There aren't even any other stands around. What's going on?"

"Is it a holiday?" asked Danielle, looking at Eda.

"This is a bad omen," said Eda, staring at the empty streets. "There must be something horrible happening today."

"Horrible?" said Danielle, staring at Eda. "There's not a pandemic going around, is there? Our realm is already trying to recover from one."

"Yeah, that was horrible," said Luz, shuddering.

"What?" said Eda, staring at Danielle and Luz.

"Luz! Danielle!" shouted Gus, running over to the stand with Willow. "Something amazing is happening today!"

"Gus, Willow! Hey!" said Luz, seeing the two run over.

"Hi Gus, Hi Willow. Been a while," said Danielle, before seeing a flier in Willow's hand. "What's that?"

"It's the annual covention!" replied Willow, holding up the flier. "Student witches get to see all the types of covens before they're placed in one. There's even a mystery guest this year!"

"A job fair for witches!" said Luz, excited as she leaned into Eda. "Eda, can we go?"

"Absolutely not," replied Eda, as Luz groans and drops to the ground. "I never joined a coven for a reason. Sure it's like a fun club for witches, but you're also giving up your magical independence to be part of a crooked system."

"Mmm," said Willow, dropping the flier.

"Eh, but, you know, no judgment," said Eda, crossing her arms over her chest. "In any case, I haven't been to one since we were girls."

""We"?" said Luz, staring at Eda.

"Went with family back in the day?" asked Danielle, staring at Eda. "Or maybe with a group of friends?"

"I… the… I mean…" said Eda, stammering.

"Who's "we"?" asked Luz, staring at Eda. "You have a mysterious past! Now we gotta go!"

"No," said Eda, staring at Luz.

"Okay," said Luz, staring at Eda. "Then you leave me no choice."

"What are you…" said Danielle, staring at Luz.

""You shall not shan't doeth no more harm," Azura callethed out..." said King, reading an entry from Luz's book.

"Ah, no," said Danielle, covering her ears.

"So flowery, so awful," said Eda, tossing and opening the Portal Door before walking through.

""Hecate could only screech, screech as did she, for the screeching did worseneth."" said King, still reading as he was tossed through the Portal Door by Luz.

"Make it stop," said Danielle, leaning against the shelves before slumping to the ground. "Please."

"Stop it! Stop it!" said Eda, coming back through the Portal Door with King sitting on her head. "I will literally do anything to stop this!"

Packing up the stand for the day, Eda, the girls and King head towards the convention with Willow and Gus. Before even getting close to the building, Eda had put on a cowl to hide her identity. Staring at the building before them, Danielle and Luz see a bunch of witches and demons walking about.

"Gotta keep a low profile," said Eda, struggling to pull her hood up.

"Is this cowl really necessary?" asked Luz, as she tries to shove Eda's hair back in the cowl.

"Do you want her to get arrested?" asked Danielle, looking at Luz.

"No," replied Luz, sighing.

"Someone's got my back," said Eda, staring at Danielle.

"Then again, I would like to see what freebies they have here," said Danielle, looking inside.

"Maybe this informative event will inspire you to join a coven," said Willow, holding up the flier only for Eda to burn it away.

"Let's just get this over with," said Eda, finally got the hood up.

"Whoa," said Luz, looking around as they entered the building. "Was I even alive before now?"

"Whoa," said Danielle, looking around. "Are some off-shoots from the main nine?"

"Yup," replied Willow, pointing at certain ones while they walked. "Big Dog Coven, Small Cat Coven, Tiniest Cat Coven are part of the Beast Keeping Coven while the Flower Coven, Carnivorous Plant Coven, Succulent Coven are part of the Plant Coven."

"Then there's the Meditation Coven, the Oculus Coven, the Scrying Coven are part of the Oracle Coven," said Gus, pointing to the other booths. "Then there's Wood Coven, the Pottery Coven under the Construction Coven."

"Also the Grumpy Coven," said Willow, after hearing Eda groan.

"What was that?" said Eda, staring at Willow.

"Whoa, that's a lot of covens," said Danielle, staring at each booth. "Why have so many covens?"

"That's just how it is," replied Willow, before standing before a Construction booth. "That's the Construction Coven. One of the main nine. They use power glyphs to increase their strength."

"Yowza-wowza!" said Luz, before an illusionary double ducks out from behind her. "Yowza-wha-a-a?"

"An illusion… do I really look like that?" asked Danielle, as an illusionary double of herself ducks out from behind herself as well.

"Ah! You've been taken in by the allure of the Illusionist Coven. We like to magic with a hint..." said Gus, joining the other two illusionists before disappearing in a cloud then reappearing a few feet away. "Of showmanship."

"Wow! Acceptance? Comradery? A sense of belonging? Covens sound incredible!" said Luz, before looking at Eda. "Eda, why haven't you ever joined one?"

"Yeah, I wonder too," said Danielle, looking at Eda.

"Watch closely, you two," said Eda, getting the girls to see someone get branded with a sigil. "When you join a coven, all your other magic is sealed away."

"Well, that's not right," said Danielle, looking at the sigil as it made the person look a little weak.

"From now on, that kid will only be able to make illusions. Since I never joined a coven, I can do every kind of magic," said Eda, conjuring a fireball in one hand and a sphere of water in the other. "That's why I'm the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles."

"And I'm glad you did," said an Elderly Demon, walking over.

"Osran!" said Willow and Gus, gasping. "Head Witch of the Oracle Coven!"

"Whoa!" said Danielle, looking at Osran. "He's got a… grandfatherly vibe."

"Why thank you," said Osran, looking at Danielle.

"Wha…?" said Eda, confused. "What are you talking about? Glad I didn't get a sigil?"

"There is more to these nasty things than you see," replied Osran, staring at Eda than the girls. "I see quite a future for you two."

"All right," said Eda, pushing the girls away. "Let's get going."

"But…" said Danielle, before thinking as she looks at Osran. "But he could help me find my mom."

"I hear a melody… an aria of the stars," said Osran, staring at Danielle.

"Whoa…" said Eda, as Danielle gasps and runs back towards Osran. "Danielle!"

"What do you know?" asked Danielle, a little hectic. "You can see where my mom is? Tell me… where is she?"

"Very far yet as close," replied Osran, confusing Danielle. "She's in a place very far away but I see a piece of her within you."

"Wait, are you referring to my necklace?" asked Danielle, showing her necklace to Osran. "It was originally her's."

"You'll figure it out in due time," said Osran, as Eda stared at him. "You are raising some fine magic users."

"What's your game old man?" asked Eda, glaring at Osran.

"I've seen things… experienced things," replied Osran, looking at Eda. "I won't be played with this time. This new horizon that has been granted to us… new allies that will help along the way. This Day of Unity… well, let's just say… a unity against this Day of Unity."

"Huh?" said Eda, even more confused.

"What about me?" asked Luz, staring at Osran. "What do you see for me?"

"Many things child," replied Osran, staring at Luz. "An illuminating love… the first human witch in centuries… beloved by the Titan much like your friend here. There are so many things you two are meant to do."

"Whoa," said Willow and Gus, listening to Osran.

"Ah, I mustn't forget you two," said Osran, staring at Willow and Gus. "You two will grow stronger and stronger still alongside these two. Though the road may be rough at times, I can see a bright and strong future."

"Alright, I've had enough," said Eda, pushing everyone away. "Let's go."

"R to the A to the E-E-Da," said Osran, walking away. "Raeda. Raeda."

"Aaaah!" screamed Eda, running over and grabbing Osran. "You know who started that. Tell me!"

"Eda!" said Danielle, grabbing and pulling Eda away with Willow and Gus.

"So… um, you said the Titan favored… beloved us," said Luz, sneaking past and looking at Osran.

"That I did," said Osran, looking at Luz.

"I don't understand," said Luz, looking at Osran. "You say that but I haven't been able to see other glyphs since they look fuzzy but Danielle has already found quite a few. Nor will she show me."

"I told you my reasons," said Danielle, looking at Luz.

"Tell me this," said Osran, looking at Luz. "How did you find your first one?"

"It happened when Eda went Owl Beast," replied Luz, looking at Osran. "My cell phone busted and glitched on a recording and I was able to find the Light Glyph then."

"And you?" asked Osran, looking at Danielle.

"Oh, um…" said Danielle, letting go of Eda. "A constellation above the Titan's Skull."

"Fascinating," said Osran, looking at the girls. "I believe the Titan himself or herself is showing these glyphs to you two differently for a reason. For example, the Light Glyph as a constellation or on your cell."

"I found the Wood Glyph studying the bark of a nearby tree," said Danielle, looking at Osran. "And the Plant Glyph studying its leaves."

"Well, maybe try looking at flowers and other plant life for those two," said Osran, looking at Luz. "No two snowflakes are alike. You'll find them."

"Thanks Mr. Osran," said Luz, looking at Osran. "I'll search even harder."

"Enjoy the rest of the convention," said Osran, walking away. "There's a Sin-a-Bun with my name on it."

"What do you think that was?" asked Luz, looking at Eda and Danielle.

"I don't know," replied Danielle, looking at Luz. "But it sounds like we're needed here for more than just our reasons for staying here. Though the way he worded how I tried telling you seemed to work… about the glyphs, that is."

"We'll figure it out later," said Eda, gearing the girls in a different direction.

"Looks like King is enjoying himself," said Danielle, seeing King getting freebies. "King, don't wonder off for too long, the meetup point is the entrance."

"Okay," said King, about to wonder about the covention. "Can do."

"That panel looks popular," said Luz, seeing the Emperor's Coven panel.

"It's the Emperor's Coven!" replied Gus, excited. "Do you think they'll sign my forehead?"

"Only one way to find out!" said Willow, running alongside Gus to see some Coven Scouts.

"Aren't you coming, Eda?" asked Luz, staring at Eda.

"No way. Of all the covens, they're the worst," replied Eda, looking at Luz. "I'll wait out here."

"The worst?" said Danielle, looking at Eda.

"I get it, Eda. Covens: bad. Individualism: good," said Luz, looking at Eda as she links arms with Danielle. "But I'm still figuring this world out, so I'm going to go in there and make up my own mind, okay? Let's go Danielle."

"Okay?" said Danielle, before looking back at Eda. "Eda?"

"This looks good," said Luz, walking down the stairs before sitting down.

"Hey Eda," said Danielle, seeing Eda run their way. "Someone recognize ya?"

"Yeah," replied Eda, before sitting down. "All right, let's see this mess."

"Can't believe I'm doing this again," thought Principal Bump, as he came out on stage. "Hello, Bonesborough! Students ask me all the time, "Principal Bump, what's the height of magical achievement?""

"Is it this?" asked Mattholomule, enlarging his head.

"Wow. I failed you as a principal," said Principal Bump, wondering how to deal with Mattholomule come a certain day. "It's being selected to join the best of the best. And there are none better than the jewel of the coven system and the enforcers of his will, the Emperor's Coven."

"TYRANT!"

"Way too loud," said Danielle, holding her head. "And there was more than just two. Ooo."

"Luz! Danielle!" said Willow and Gus, getting Danielle and Luz to see Gus's autographed forehead.

"Feast your eyes on this elite force, each member handpicked to help usher in a new age of controlled magic," said Principal Bump, gesturing to three Coven Scouts that displayed their magic.

"When does that "elite force" get here?" asked Eda, leaning towards a demon next to her and laughing.

"Members of the Emperor's Coven have access to all… yes, all forms of magic," said Principal Bump, getting the crowd to "Ooh" and "Aah" with him. "But... only the best can ascend these ranks. Some day that could be one of you!"

"All magic?" thought Danielle, wide eyed. "Then why doesn't Eda like this coven?"

"Run by a Tyrant!"

"Okay okay, geesh," said Danielle, holding her head again.

"Hmmm," said Luz, spotting Amity squealing.

"And now, I'm pleased to introduce the esteemed leader of this coven and this year's mystery guest. You know her, you love her!" said Principal Bump, getting the crowd excited for the mystery guest. "Lilith!"

"Huh?" said Eda, stopping her laugh.

"You know her?" asked Luz, looking at Eda.

"You could say that," replied Eda, still looking at Lilith.

"Sister… I am so sorry."

"Sister?" said Danielle, looking at Lilith than Eda.

"Those voices?" said Eda, looking at Danielle. "Am I right?"

"Yeah, but…" replied Danielle, looking to the side. "The recent voice sounded like Lilith."

"What?" said Eda, confused.

"She also said she was sorry," said Danielle, looking at Eda. "But I don't know what for."

"Lilith?" said Eda, before staring at her sister.

"Thank you, all," said Lilith, magically sending her cape and mask towards Principal Bump. "It wasn't easy for me to rise to the top. I also started from humble beginnings."

"Like me?" said Mattholomule, his head still enlarged.

"Now I have the highest honor of enforcing the Emperor's will. So be more! The Emperor's Coven awaits you!" said Lilith, spinning and creating a raven illusion.

"Okay, that was a nice finisher," said Danielle, awe struck before seeing Eda leave the stadium. "Eda, wait up."

"Eda! Where are you going?" asked Luz, grabbing Eda's arm.

"I'm gonna head home and wash the con funk off my skin," said Eda, staring at Danielle and Luz.

"I'm guessing you two don't have much of a relationship anymore, do ya," said Danielle, looking at Eda.

"Story for a later time… much later," said Eda, walking away.

"But we haven't even taken the quiz to determine our coven type!" said Luz, holding up a magazine that Eda just blasted a hole in. "Ooh, a punky potionist."

"Let's see what freebies we can get than," said Danielle, following Luz. "Uh, Luz, you're about to…"

"Watch where you…" said Amity, turning around after being bumped into by Luz. "Oh, it's you. Willow's... abomination thing."

"Uh... Hey, Amity. So, funny story. Not an abomination. Sorry for the confusion last week," said Luz, before offering her hand. "I-I'm Luz. The human. Hi!"

"Now I know Principal Bump explained the situation to ya," said Danielle, looking at Amity. "Anyway, name's Danielle. Human as well."

"Ugh. Put that away," said Amity, slapping Luz's hand away. "You're the one that got me in trouble with Principal Bump and I never get in trouble."

"Oi, prefect!" said Danielle, glaring at Amity with slightly glowing eyes. "Watch it."

"Well, to be fair, you were okay with him trying to dissect me, so…" said Luz, following Amity.

"You can't be here!" said Amity, turning around to face Danielle and Luz. "This covention is for witches only."

"Well, I'm learning how to be a witch. I'm receiving…" said Luz, only to hear Danielle clear her throat. "We, I meant we… are receiving magic lessons from a powerful witch and a ferocious demon."

"You have got to stop doing that," said Danielle, looking at Luz.

"Sorry," said Luz, looking at Danielle.

"Is that your ferocious demon there?" asked Amity, looking over Luz's shoulder.

"Cupcakes in my tummy-tum makes the King say yummy-yum!" said King, wearing a bunch of clothes and holding a cupcake.

"So you'll join the Bakers Coven?" asked a Member of the Baker's Coven, following after King.

"Hmm... Nope!" said King, stealing another cupcake off the platter and heading towards Danielle and Luz. "Oh, hey, Luz! Danielle! Look at all those offerings…"

"Got'cha," said Danielle, catching King after he tripped on his scarf, though still dropped his cupcake. "Let me get that for ya… hey!"

"Oops," said Amity, stepping on the cupcake. "That was an accident."

"No, it wasn't. That was on purpose Prefect!" said Danielle, angry at Amity as Luz pulled her away.

"Why are you being so mean, Amity?" asked Luz, looking at Amity.

"Because you and your pet are giving witches in training a bad name," replied Amity, looking at Luz.

"I'm not a pet!" said King, only to use his hindleg to scratch himself.

"That doesn't help right there King," said Danielle, looking at King.

"Huh?" said King, before putting his hindleg down. "Oh."

"He's a very good boy and the King of Demons! I'll tell you what, Amity," said Luz, standing up. "It's one thing to say I can't be a witch…"

"'Cause you can't," said Amity, looking at Luz.

"But it's another thing to bully my friends. Just like The Good Witch Azura said when facing down her rival Hecate at the Bog of Immediate Regret..." said Luz, staring at Amity.

"Not Azura," said Daniell, pinching the bridge of her nose and groaning. "Wait…"

"I challenge you to a Witch's Duel!" said Luz, pointing at Amity.

"No! No! No fighting, there will be no fighting," said Danielle, getting between Luz and Amity. "Luzura Noceda, don't even think… … … don't…"

"You called me Luzura," said Luz, grinning like a cheshire cat. "I'm getting to you."

"Ugh… what? Whoa!" said Danielle, as Amity levitated her away and into a stand, her eyes glowing. "Ty mały..."

"Danielle!" said Luz, before Amity came face to face with her.

"I accept," said Amity, glaring at Luz. "Let's set the terms for this duel, shall we?"

"One, if I win, you apologize to King for squashing his cupcake and to Danielle for blasting her away just now," said Luz, staring at Amity. "And two, you admit that humans can be witches too."

"Fine by me. When I win, not only do you have to tell the whole covention you're not a witch, you have to stop training forever," said Amity, staring at Luz. "Why not make it more interesting. She can fight me too. Highly doubt she can fight as well."

"Oh, you are so on prefect," said Danielle, walking over angrily with glowing eyes.

"What the?" thought Amity and Luz, seeing Danielle's eyes.

"Do it, Luz! Danielle!" said King, looking at the girls. "For my honor!"

"Fine. Let's shake on it," said Luz, offering her hand.

"The everlasting oath is sealed," said Amity, drawing a spell circle around Luz's hand and shaking it before looking at Danielle. "Your turn."

"That's probably fine," said Luz, looking at her hand than Danielle. "Danielle."

"Dangit! Can't believe I got myself into this," said Danielle, grabbing Amity's hand. "Fine. Deal."

"Meet back inside the theater in one hour," said Amity, walking away after sealing the deal with Danielle. "Let's see what kind of witch you two are."

"I am not training to be…" shouted Danielle, angry and huffing before walking away. "Let's go find Eda."

"There she is," said King, spotting Eda before walking away. "Now for more offerings."

"Eda, we need your help!" said Luz, popping in between Eda and Lilith. "I accidentally challenged Amity to a witch's duel, and pulled Danielle into it and I think she's going to kill me all the way dead!"

"Mmm, it seems your student has met my strongest protégé. And look at those ears!" said Lilith, looking at Luz's ears then pulling Danielle's hair back some. "Are they human? Where did you even find one of these? Let alone two."

"Hi," said Danielle, looking at Lilith than Eda. "I may have lost my temper… a little."

"Okay, Edalyn," said Lilith, burning nearby wanted posters of Eda. "For one day, you won't have to hide from the law, because I want to see how good a teacher you really are."

"Come on, kid," said Eda, placing a hand on Danielle's and Luz's shoulders. "Time to prepare for bloodshed."

"But... whose blood?" asked Luz, staring at Eda.

"Anyone's guess!" said Eda, clapping Luz's back.

"I'd rather not spill any blood," said Danielle, looking at Eda. "Just want to knock some sense into Amity."

"Alright, you got quite a few glyphs on hand, I presume, plus some potions," said Eda, looking at Danielle than Luz. "Though only one glyph for you."

"Plenty," said Danielle, showing the glyphs and potions on hand. "And those sparring lessons have been helpful. Just got to put to the test what I learned in this duel with Amity."

"Which would have been helpful for me as well," said Luz, looking at Eda. "The sparring, that is. Could have done that with me as well."

"I didn't expect for Danielle to be a fast learner," said Eda, looking at Luz. "That's why I didn't. Though I'm still healing from that last move. Ow."

"Sorry," said Danielle, seeing Eda rub her shoulder. "Granted, I have taken self defense classes and on my school's gymnastics team."

"So not fair," said Luz, staring at Danielle.

"Boy, I hope you didn't make an everlasting oath to stop learning magic or anything," said Eda, looking at Luz. "You'd be toast."

"I-Is there a glowy hand thing that happens, or, uh…" said Luz, before hearing Amity nearby.

"Abomination. Rise," said Amity, conjuring an Abomination.

"Ooh, boy," said Eda, seeing the display of the Abomination.

"I can't believe I'm gonna have to stop learning magic!" said Luz, before Danielle placed a hand on her shoulder.

"No, you won't," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "We just have to figure out how to coordinate our attacks is all. There's two of us and only one of her."

"Danielle has a point," said Eda, looking at the girls. "But I also have an idea."

Coming upon the stadium, Eda had Danielle and Luz stand outside for a bit. Setting up various magical traps, Eda claps her hands free of dust before ushering Danielle and Luz in. Spotting Lilith and Amity up on the dais, Danielle grips her hands as Luz looks around nervously before noticing some mounds on the field.

"What the…" said Danielle, seeing a lot of mounds.

"Beloved citizens, the Emperor's Coven proudly presents an impromptu demonstration of the sort of witch we seek every year," said Lilith, gesturing Amity forward. "Introducing Amity Blight. Versus...two human girls."

"The audience is pretty bias," said Danielle, hearing the comments from the audience. "Well, we just got to show them is all. Luz?"

"Eda?" said Luz, grabbing Eda's arms. "What am I going to do?"

"Calm down," said Eda, freeing herself then pointing at the mounds. "You see those mounds? Get Amity to land on one of those and she'll set off my magic traps."

"That's cheating!" said Luz, looking at Eda.

"Eda…" said Danielle, looking at Eda.

"Nobody will know," said Eda, looking at the girls. "To all eyes up there it'll look like you're performing magic. Just trust me."

"But I will know in my heart!" said Luz, looking at Eda. "Even if I win now, I lose."

"I agree with Luz here," said Danielle, setting off a light glyph and a lightning glyph, shaping it into a claymore.

"Kid, what did you just…" said Eda, seeing that Danielle stabbed the ground and setting off her traps.

"She-she just…" said Amity, watching each trap go off and glaring at Danielle.

"I appreciate the gesture Eda but neither one of us want to cheat to win," said Danielle, walking forward slightly. "Now then, why don't we have this little dance, Amity."

"I'm dead," thought Luz, staring at the flat field.

"This human…" thought Lilith, staring at Danielle. "Is interesting."

"Fine! Abomination. Rise!" shouted Amity, conjuring an abomination that was taller than what she normally could produce. "Whoa. Show me what you got, humans!"

"Gladly!" said Danielle, before looking back to Luz. "Luz?"

"I'm not good under pressure!" said Luz, running towards one of the walls. "Danielle, watch out!"

Setting off a glyph, electrified bubbles scatter around the Abomination before Danielle slashes off its arm. The Abomination tried to swat some of the electrified bubbles only for some of its goo to slush away. Backing away some, Danielle sets off a Wood Glyph, encasing the Abomination in a wooden dome.

"Luz, now!" said Danielle, looking at Luz. "Skewer it!"

"Skewer… … I get it," said Luz, setting off a Light Glyph and sending a spear of light at the wooden dome. "Did we get it?"

"I don't know… aaah!" said Danielle, before the Abomination broke through, sending splinters off wood flying. "Ow ow ow-ow-ow."

"I think a Healing Glyph should be one we need to find sooner," said Luz, seeing Danielle pull some splinters out of her arms. "Eep."

"Power Glyph… there's a Power Glyph on the back of her neck."

"Looks like Eda is not the only one cheating," said Danielle, standing up. "Ow… huh?"

"Danielle!" shouted Luz, sending a blast of light towards the Abomination. "Oh, thank goodness for the Dragonclaw series."

"At least… Luz didn't shout out the attack name," thought Danielle, before running forward with the Light Claymore. "Alright, Amity, time to finish this dance."

"I won't lose to you two!" said Amity, glaring. "Abomination, seize them!"

"Luz, come up with something else," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "I'm going in to finish this."

"Uh… uh… um… oh," said Luz, before setting off another Light Glyph that wrapped around the Abomination like whips.

"What? No!" said Amity, only for some vines to entangle her. "…"

"It's over Amity," said Danielle, behind Amity with her Light Claymore pointed at her back while taking off the Power Glyph.

"What?" said Amity, seeing her Abomination shrink. "Fine, I yield."

"Whoo-hoo!" shouted Eda, pulling Danielle and Luz into a headlock and giving them noogies. "Those my girls!"

"King," said Danielle, hearing King and seeing him fall down from the stands before setting off a plant glyph, making King fall into a flower that bent towards Danielle. "Got'cha."

"Did you have to do it like that?" asked King, blushing slightly in embarrassment. "That was embarrassing."

"Way too much clothes there King," said Danielle, having to place King on the ground cause of how many clothes he was wearing.

"Well, it looks like you won fair and square," said Lilith, staring at Eda then Danielle. "Though it seems like this one is more talented. The way you utilized that weird magic compared to your friend was brilliant.

"Uh… thanks," said Danielle, with a slight blush. "But Luz…"

"She's obviously wasted on you Edalyn," said Lilith, looking at Eda than Danielle. "Why not join the Emperor's Coven?"

"Thanks for the offer," said Danielle, before looking at Luz and seeing her huffing away. "But I still want to train under Eda and be with my friend Luz. So, I'll have to decline right now."

"Danielle," said Luz, hearing what was said.

"Besides…" said Danielle, holding out the Power Glyph. "You have some…"

"A power glyph from the Construction Coven," said Eda, grabbing the power glyph and holding it up. "Ah-ha! Yes, yes, yes-yes-yes! You cheated. Perfect, prissy Lilith cheated. Hot dang, I love coventions! La-la-la…"

"Eda," said Danielle, staring at Eda.

"I only did that because I knew you would cheat!" said Lilith, staring at Eda as she did a victory dance. "I didn't anticipate for that human to be so considerate!"

"Still cheated!" said Eda, pointing at Lilith. "Welcome down to my level!"

"Eda, that's a little much," said Danielle, watching Eda taunt Lilith. "Don'cha think…"

"But... I didn't know!" said Amity, looking around before running out of the stadium.

"Go after her," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "I think you may be better suited to help Amity right now."

"Right," said Luz, running after Amity. "Amity, wait!"

"Right, now how to deal with this," said Danielle, looking at Eda and Lilith.

"Knock it off," said Lilith, staring at Eda as she did a victory dance. "You're making a scene!"

"You cheated," said Eda, pointing at Lilith. "Hey, where's the Rhyming Coven? What rhymes with "cheated"?"

"Want them in Polish or Italian?" asked Danielle, looking at Eda.

"Uh… no," replied Eda, still doing her victory dance.

"Stop acting like a child!" said Lilith, glaring at Eda.

"You were defeated, don't get heated, get your stank face treated," said Eda, staring at Lilith.

"Rhyme one more thing," said Lilith, angrily glaring at Eda.

"This is not helping," said Danielle, looking at Eda. "It's only making it worse."

"Oh, it's okay, I'm done," said Eda, stopping for a bit than starting again. "Because my rhymes are depleted!"

"Eda…" said Danielle, only to back away as Lilith prepared her magic. "Whoa!"

"That's it!" screamed Lilith, blasting Eda into a wall.

"Eda!" shouted Danielle, as the smoke cleared away.

"There she is!" said Eda, summoning her staff before blasting her magic towards Lilith.

"Whoa whoa-whoa-whoa!" said Danielle, backing up even further. "I know every family has their own dynamics but this is ridiculous."

Danielle watches on scared as Eda and Lilith duel. As Lilith spins her staff to stop Eda's attack, Eda pushes her hand forward, her spell circle turning into a burst of magic. Eda takes a few steps back, spinning and drawing a spell circle on the ground. She lifts her hand, creating a growing pillar of wood that splits Lilith's attack. The pillar bends, its owl face hooting lowly. Lilith stares at it, then teleports away from its approaching beak. Stray magic enters the audience. Danielle is getting frantic as the two battle while moving out of the way of incoming spells. Two new owl faces extend from the large pillar. Eda draws four more spell circles on the opposite side. Lilith easily teleports away from all of their beaks, destroying one on the ground, then three in the air with a grunt. Eda smirks and spins her staff, creating an orange shield as Lilith hits it with magic and her staff. The shield cracks, but Eda's expression doesn't change. Owlbert's eyes glow. He flies into Lilith's face, interrupting her attack. He hoots and pulls her hair.

"Ow, ow, ow-ow-ow," said Lilith, as Owlbert pulls her hair. "Ow-ow-ow-ow-ow!"

"Say goodnight, sister," said Eda, spinning her staff.

"Dość!" shouted Danielle, her eyes aglow.

A burst of magic comes from Danielle spreading and felt throughout the whole isles and lands beyond. Eyes aglow, Danielle stares at Eda and Lilith before conjuring balls of lights in her hands before sending it at them. Dodging the attacks, Eda and Lilith slash the attacks apart before having to dodge blue-green thorny vines, extremely thick ones to be precise. The tips of Danielle's hair changes to silvery white.

"What has gotten into your student?" asked Lilith, having to dodge a fireball. "How is she even doing that? She's not even…"

"Whoa!" said Eda, having to smash a wooden nine-tailed fox away. "Is Danielle…"

"Holy Titan!" said Lilith, seeing a wooden dragon spewing blue fire at her.

"Oh my…" said Eda, dodging a wooden enraged King. "I did not need to see that."

"Dość! Mam już dość!" shouted Danielle, her voice being echo-y before clutching her chest and gasping in pain. "Przestań… proszę przestań! To boli-boli!"

"Danielle!" shouted Eda, running over as Danielle slumps to the ground. "Are you…"

"Dlaczego-dlaczego… wróciło… po tylu latach…" said Danielle, as tears flow down her cheeks as she clutches her chest more. "Mom… Dad…"

"Danielle, calm down," said Eda, as Danielle leans into her.

"This human is… half witch!" said Lilith, staring at Danielle. "This is outstanding! An actual half witch. One of her parents is from our realm."

"Lilith," said Eda, glaring at Lilith. "Don't even…"

"This could go down in history! She has to see the Emperor!" said Lilith, pacing about before looking at Danielle. "He could help her! Edalyn, let the child go. She's coming with me."

"Like I ever let that creep near her… or Luz," said Eda, glaring at Lilith as she held Danielle tightly.

"It's either her or you," said Lilith, holding her staff. "Your choice."

"How bout neither," said Eda, twirling her staff to make a smokescreen.

"Edalyn!" shouted Lilith, as Eda hightailed it out of the stadium with Danielle in her arms.

"I want… my mom," said Danielle, crying through the pain as Eda runs through the convention.

"Luz! King!" shouted Eda, gaining their attention. "We have to go now!"

"What happened?" asked Luz, concerned as she sees Danielle crying. "What's going on?"

"Danielle," said King, placing a paw on Danielle's knee.

"I'll explain when we get back," said Eda, gesturing Luz and King to follow her. "Let's go."

"Wait…" said Eye Eating Prisoner, walking over and holding out a box of Sin-a-Buns. "For your help that day."

"Uh… thanks," said Eda, as Luz grabs the box before leaving the covention.

"How are we going to tell Danielle?" asked Luz, as they ran. "She looks like she passed out."

"When she wakes up," replied Eda, summoning her staff and mounting it alongside Luz and King, flying back to the Owl House.

Owl Pellet #12

(Set during when Danielle's magic spreads throughout the isles)

"No way," said Collector, feeling the magic burst. "It couldn't…"

"Where did that magic come from?" asked Belos, wondering where the source of magic came from.

"I don't recognize who it is," replied Collector, before thinking. "But it definitely was a member of my kind."

Owl Pellet #13

(Hours after the Covention)

"Mmmm… … uuuh… ow," said Danielle, waking up. "I'm in bed?"

"Yup," said Eda, staring at Danielle.

"How are you feeling?" asked Luz, looking at Danielle. "Does it still hurt?"

"It's settled down but…" replied Danielle, lightly clutching her chest. "It still hurts some."

"Danielle," said Eda, staring at Danielle. "Do you know anything about your mom? Or anything on her side of your family?"

"No," replied Danielle, looking at Eda. "I know nothing about my mom's side of the family. Mom never told me. Why do you ask?"

"Danielle… you did magic back in the stadium," said Eda, staring at Danielle. "Actual magic."

"What?" said Danielle, confused.

"Danielle…" said Luz, looking at Danielle. "You're half witch."

"Your mom is here from the Demon Realm," said Eda, deeply sighing. "She's a witch."

"Mom… is a… witch… hehe… dobranoc," said Danielle, before passing out.

"Well, she took that well," said King, looking at Eda and Luz.
