I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the OC known as Danielle Hopkins. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.
Chapter Eighteen
Sitting before everyone, was a four year old Danielle and a four year old Luz, staring around. The potion may have regressed the two in age but that now meant that their uniforms were way too big. Only key difference was that Luz's hair being in three braids.
"Where'd my ribbons go?" asked Luz, grabbing and looking at her braids.
"Here, you can have mine," said Danielle, taking hers off and unbraiding Luz's hair. "I got plenty."
"Hehehe, you're like a kitty," said Luz, giggling as Danielle undid her braids. "Hehe, she's making biscuits in my hair."
"There we go," said Danielle, placing the ribbon in Luz's hair. "Half up, half down."
"Well, if that wasn't the most adorable thing to see," said Professor Asparilla, bending down to eye level.
"Pretty lady," said Danielle and Luz, awe struck by Professor Asparilla's beauty.
"Yeah yeah adorable," said Yellow Fang, waving off Professor Asparilla. "Come here you filthy humans."
"Aaaaah!" screamed Danielle, as Yellow Fang approached her and Luz. "Potwór!"
"Too loud," said Luz, covering her ears alongside everyone else.
"Run!" said Danielle, grabbing Luz's hand and running.
"Not so fast little ones," said Professor Asparilla, growing some giant flowers to block the path.
"Whoa!" said Danielle and Luz, staring at the giant flowers.
"Yellow Fang, you idiot!" said Viney, grabbing Yellow Fang by his cowl. "What you do that for? You know what, never mind. This is going to bite you in the end anyway."
"Come on," said Professor Asparilla, walking over to Danielle and Luz. "I know a place where you will be safe."
"Don-Don't come any closer," said Danielle, gripping her necklace. "Wha? Why am I wearing mom's necklace? Where's my whistle?"
"Oh, you want a whistle," said Professor Asparilla, conjuring a flower petal in the shape of a whistle. "Here, will this suffice?"
"Whoa… cool," said Danielle, gingerly taking the whistle before blowing into it.
"Me next! Me next!" said Luz, excited. "I want one too!"
"Okay, calm down," said Professor Asparilla, making another whistle and handing it to Luz. "There we go."
"Let's get them back to Eda," said Principal Bump, walking over as Frewin climbed down him and towards the girls.
"Whoa," said Danielle and Luz, before grabbing and cuddling Frewin. "It's so cute!"
"Come now," said Principal Bump, as Frewin changed to staff form with the girls on. "Let's go for a little ride."
"It's flying! It's flying!" said Danielle and Luz, staring at the staff.
"Yes yes, Frewin flies," said Principal Bump, situating the girls better on the staff. "Now let's…."
"Doggie!" said Danielle, spotting Barcus and running over.
"(What?!)" said Barcus, before being tackled by Danielle. "(Help!)"
"Good doggie," said Danielle, petting Barcus all over. "Yes, you a good doggie. Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Hehehe."
"Let's leave Barcus alone," said Viney, picking Danielle up. "I think you may have overstimulated him."
"But he's a doggie," said Danielle, as Viney placed her back on staff. "I wanna pet."
"Sneak out. Sneak out," thought King, tiptoeing off the stage. "Get back to the house before I'm seen."
Making sure that Danielle and Luz were properly sitting, Principal Bump leaves the Paranoratorium. King sighs in relief before being followed by Danielle's abomination. Looking here and there, Danielle and Luz marvel at the sights around them. Principal Bump at times had to stop to reposition the girls. By then, King had finally got back to the Owl House with abomination in tow. When Principal Bump finally reaches the Owl House himself, he's slightly exhausted as he knocks on the front door.
"Hey-a Bumpy-poo," said Eda, seeing Principal Bump with an assortment of ribbons and such in his hair. "Kindergarteners get to you? Haha, they did good."
"It was your students. Here you go," said Principal Bump, giving the girls over to Eda. "Enjoy. Byeeee!"
"Danielle! Luz!" said Eda, staring at the girls. "Bump, get back here!"
"Who are you?" asked Danielle and Luz, staring at Eda.
"Ooo boy, this is going to be a long day," thought Eda, before bending down to eye level. "I'm Eda, the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles!"
"Witch?!" said Danielle and Luz, staring at Eda.
"I'm a respected…" said Eda, as Danielle and Luz poked at her. "Stop that."
"Why's you skin not green?" asked Danielle, holding Eda's hand.
"Where's your pointy nose and wart?" asked Luz, staring at Eda.
"How come your hair is not messy and black?" asked Danielle, playing with Eda's hair.
"Where's your pointy hat?" asked Luz, pointing at Eda's head. "Where's your black cat?"
"I think I see it," said Danielle, as King walked into the living room. "There."
"Weh?!" said King, spotting Danielle and Luz. "Uh oh."
"Correction… puppy!" said Danielle, running into the living room.
"Puppy!" said Luz, chasing after King as well.
"Ah! Eda, help!" shouted King, running away from the girls.
The chase lasted for quite a while. Circling around the furniture. Bumping into each other. Giggling and laughing in the process. Eda and Hooty just watched the escapade unfold before them.
"Come here, puppy puppy puppy," said Danielle, crawling under the coffee table to reach King.
"Ah, no," said King, crawling out from under the coffee table.
"Got'cha," said Danielle, crawling out and jumping over the coffee table and grabbing King. "Taki słodki!"
"¡Ay, que lindo!" said Luz, getting in on the cuddles as well.
"Eda, help!" shouted King, struggling to get loose.
"He talks!?" said Danielle and Luz, before cuddling and petting King more. "He talks!"
"Eda!" shouted King, still struggling to get loose.
"Alright," said Eda, grabbing King and looking at the girls. "Playtime's over, bedtime."
"What?" said Luz, staring at Eda.
"But Mister Sun is still out," whined Danielle, before her stomach growled. "I'm hungry."
"Me too," said Luz, looking at Danielle.
"Fine, what do you want?" asked Eda, as the girls whispered to each other.
"Ice cream!" replied Danielle and Luz, with a smile.
"Right, apple slices and fire bee honey," said Eda, hearing the girls groan as she headed towards the kitchen. "Stay put."
"Now what?" asked Luz, staring at Danielle.
"Don't know," replied Danielle, before Hooty scooped her and Luz up.
"Time for the Hooty Express," said Hooty, as the girls giggled. "Hands and feet in. It's about to get bumpy."
Hooty ended up entertaining Danielle and Luz for quite a bit. Doing various maneuvers to make it feel like a wild ride for them. Twirl here, twirl there. Up, down, left, right. Loop here, loop there. Shoot straight then slowly go back. All the while Danielle and Luz were having a blast and laughing at Hooty's antics. By the end of it, Hooty was exhausted and Luz was feeling a little light headed.
"Hoo… hoo… hoo…" said Hooty, panting as he lay on the ground.
"No more," said Luz, laying down on Hooty.
"Again! Again!" said Danielle, still very full of energy before poking at Hooty. "Mister Owl? Mister Owl…"
"Whoa," said Eda, finally leaving the kitchen with some trays and staring at the display. "Someone actually exhausted Hooty."
"Mmmm," said Luz, rolling off of Hooty and slowly staggering into the living room.
"One kid tired," said Eda, seeing Luz plop onto the couch before looking at Danielle. "The other still going strong."
"Those look yummy," said Danielle, as Eda placed the dish down and grabbing an apple slice with some fire bee honey. "Yummy!"
"Fire bee honey does have a little heat," said Eda, as Danielle coughed from the spice.
"Still like," said Danielle, grabbing another and handing it to Luz. "Want one?"
"Sí," replied Luz, taking the apple slice and eating it. "Yum."
"I got you two some clothes," said Eda, tossing two shirts to the girls. "Might as well get out of those oversized uniforms."
"Okay," said Danielle, finishing her apple slice and grabbing the shirt. "Where's the powder room?"
"You mean the bathroom?" said Eda, before gesturing to follow her. "Come on."
"Big house," said Luz, trying to walk up the stairs.
"Uncle Ken's is bigger," said Danielle, climbing the last step and seeing Luz crawl the rest of the way. "I'll help."
"Mmm," said Luz, as Danielle piggybacked her the rest of the way. "Tired."
"Really? I'm not," said Danielle, running into the bathroom. "Yay! Bath! Now to get squeaky clean."
"Noooooooo!" screamed Luz, gaining a little energy back and running out of the bathroom.
"Luz, come back here," said Eda, magicking floating Luz back in. "Danielle, no bath tonight."
"How'd ya know our names?" asked Danielle, staring at Eda. "Did ya foresee it?"
"I just… knew," replied Eda, before seeing Danielle stripping down and trying to climb into the bath tub. "I said no bath."
"But I want to be squeaky clean," whined Danielle, as Eda magicked the shirts onto her and Luz. "I wanted a bath."
"Bad girl coven?" said Luz, staring at the shirts.
"Oomph, still a little big," said Eda, seeing the shirts were still a little big on Danielle and Luz as one sleeve slightly slides off their shoulders. "Oh well, better than nothing."
"When is our moms and dads coming to pick us up?" asked Danielle, staring at Eda. "I want to go home and play on my dad's super Nintendo. I want to beat the koopalings again."
"I… have you two for the weekend," replied Eda, nervously. "Yeah, the weekend. We'll have tons of fun."
"Got any games?" asked Danielle, staring at Eda as they descended the stairs.
"No more stairs," whined Luz, before Danielle piggybacked her. "Gracias."
"You're welcome," said Danielle, before looking at Eda. "What we having for dinner?"
"How bout pizza?" asked Eda, looking at Danielle and Luz.
"I'm…" said Luz, looking at Eda.
"Lactose intolerance," said Eda, finishing Luz's sentence. "I know."
"Oh, my cousin Nicholas is lactose intolerance too," said Danielle, as she hopped down the stairs. "Do-do-do-do, da-da-da-da."
"You're funny," said Luz, as they got to the first floor.
"So, games," said Danielle, looking at Eda.
"How bout drawing with King?" said Eda, pointing towards King, who was drawing.
"Weh?" said King, staring at Eda and the girls.
"Is the puppy gonna get a bath later?" asked Danielle, as Luz walked over and started drawing. "I can help."
"No," replied Eda, sighing. "Bathe King too many times and his skin will dry up."
"Oh," said Danielle, before joining Luz and King in drawing.
As they were drawing, Eda had ordered up some pizzas. Hooty was still konked out on the ground from exhaustion. By the time the pizza arrived, Eda had the girls eat their full. Though was surprised by the amount that Danielle could eat.
"She almost ate a full pizza," thought Eda, staring at the last slice in the one box. "How?"
"Miss Eda," said Danielle, looking at Eda.
"Where'd you put it all?" asked Eda, looking at Danielle.
"In my belly," replied Danielle, smiling.
"I know but…" said Eda, before sighing. "Never mind. It's time for bed."
"But I'm not sleepy," said Danielle, looking at Eda.
"Luz is. As is King," said Eda, picking a sleepy Luz up. "And you're probably not that far from dreamland."
"No, I'm not," said Danielle, following Eda upstairs. "I'm totally awake."
"Well, the moon and stars are out," said Eda, yawning a bit. "Meaning night, meaning sleep."
"But mom and dad sometimes have fun at night," said Danielle, as she watched Eda place Luz on the futon. "A lot lately… and in bed. What are they doing?"
"Oooh, that is a question… not for me," said Eda, with a slight blush and nervous. "Now… off to bed."
After leaving Danielle and Luz in their room, Eda had headed off to bed as well. Tossing and turning, Danielle couldn't get to sleep. Grumbling, Danielle heads downstairs to the kitchen and opens the fridge before grabbing the milk and a cup.
"Blech!" said Danielle, staring at the cup of milk. "I got the wrong one. How does Luz drink this?"
"Hoo… hoo," said Hooty, gaining Danielle's attention as she walked out of the kitchen.
"Mister Owl sleeps?" said Danielle, confused before looking at the crayons. "I know. I'll make Mister Owl pretty."
Grabbing the crayons, Danielle starts drawing on Hooty. Staring at her masterpiece, Danielle beams with pride at her work. Then starts drawing on the walls. Putting the crayons away, Danielle heads back upstairs and straight to the bathroom. Starting up a bath, Danielle jumps in and starts cleaning herself. At one point, the splashing had woken up Eda, resulting in her checking on the noise.
"What the?" said Eda, seeing Danielle in the bath tub. "I thought I said…"
"But I wanted a bath," said Danielle, staring at Eda. "I like baths and staying squeaky clean. A clean child is a happy child."
"A sleepy owl is a grumpy owl," said Eda, conjuring some water and splashing it over Danielle.
"Cold!" screamed Danielle, shivering from the water that was magicked forth.
"Alright, out," said Eda, picking up Danielle.
"No!" said Danielle, grabbing the rim of the bath tub. "I want a bath!"
"Danielle," said Eda, struggling with a resisting Danielle.
"No!" said Danielle, grabbing hold of the shower curtain. "Bath! Squeaky clean! I want bath!"
"Keep it down," said Eda, getting Danielle loose. "You're gonna wake up Luz and King."
"But I wanted a bath," said Danielle, as Eda dried her off with a towel.
"Alright done," said Eda, picking Danielle up and taking her back to her room. "Bed."
"But I'm not sleepy," said Danielle, staring at Eda.
"Bed," said Eda, pointing at the futon.
"Okay," said Danielle, pouting and crossing her arms over her chest as she laid down on the futon.
Heading back to her room upstairs, Eda flops into her bed, falling asleep instantly. However, Danielle still couldn't get to sleep. Tossing and turning, staring at the ceiling. Getting up, Danielle heads upstairs to Eda's room. Peeking inside, Danielle tiptoes over to Eda's nest. Looking inside, Danielle climbs in and stares at Eda before starting to poke her.
"Miss Eda… Miss Eda…" said Danielle, lightly poking Eda's face. "Wakey wakey. Miss Eda… Miss Eda… wakey wakey."
"You've got to be kidding me," said Eda, groaning before being startled by Danielle's glowing eyes. "Whaaa!"
"Miss Eda?" said Danielle, confused as she stares at Eda.
"Uugh, kid, bed," said Eda, rubbing her forehead while covering her eyes.
"But Lady Moon is going down," said Danielle, looking at Eda. "And Mister Sun is painting the sky."
"Still too early," said Eda, rolling onto her side. "Go back to bed."
"But I'm not sleepy," said Danielle, before poking Eda's cheek. "I've been up aaaaaaall night."
"I should have used a sleeping spell," groaned Eda, turning towards Danielle.
"Boop," said Danielle, booping Eda's nose. "You up?"
"I question how your parents handled you," said Eda, grabbing her pillow and covering her face. "Such a pain."
"Wha…" said Danielle, hearing Eda's muffled voice before looking sad.
Climbing out of the nest, Danielle heads downstairs. Grabbing a crayon and some paper, Danielle writes down a note. Placing the note in Hooty's beak, Danielle leaves the Owl House and starts walking down a path towards Bonesborough. An hour or so later, everyone else wakes up and eats breakfast.
"Danielle finally fell asleep," said Eda, yawning. "Probably won't wake up for a few more hours."
"Hoot! Hoot!" shouted Hooty, alerting Eda.
"Hooty, what is… ahahaha!" laughed Eda, seeing the drawings on Hooty before looking at the walls. "My house! Danielle! ... … Danielle?"
"Look, there's a note," said Luz, grabbing the note from Hooty.
"What?" said Eda, grabbing and reading the note. "Oh no."
"I'm going home!"
"This is bad," said Eda, running out the door before walking back into the living room after a bit. "Right, there's another kid."
"Yup," said Luz, staring at Eda.
"Hop on," said Eda, conjuring her staff. "We need to find Danielle before someone else does."
"We're gonna save a princess," said Luz, as they flew out of the house.
"Hold on Danielle," thought Eda, frantic. "If Belos even harms a single hair on her body, your empire will fall a lot more sooner."
