Author's Note: After watching Po Picks A Pocket, I decided to go with this idea for the chapter. I wanted to have some of my other OC's from Crimson Dusks to be in this chapter. It will explain what Leo did while he was a teenager. I've been thinking this chapter was going to be short, but I did have several ideas for this chapter. Also, I did forgot to add Rick's hair and eye color back in Chapter 55, so I put it in this chapter. I bet you'll be surprised of what I put in this chapter! And I think it turned out excellent, in my opinion.

In other news, I've seen a short trailer of The Chameleon transforming into Lord Shen for the fourth film. This is going to be awesome to see this movie next month!

With that out of the way, time to continue on with the story!

A Kind and Generous Soul

Two Years Ago...

Zack was sitting down on the couch reading a book. Sheila and Crow were drinking some tea on the other couch. The leader looks at her phone and it was 10:00 pm right now. It's been seven hours since Leo left the tower. He was late tonight with Rick. The leader wished Leo would tell her he was going to be on patrol. She received a text from her boyfriend six hours ago that he spotted Leo spying on a drug deal and was going to help him out.

"No word from either of them, huh?" Zack looks up from his book.

"Nothing." Sheila shakes her head. "Leo could've told me before he left this afternoon."

"Did you check the text?" Crow asks her.

The leader looks at her phone and saw she received a text message at the time Leo left. "Looks like he won't be coming back until later on this evening." Sheila read the text message. "Seems like Leo was tracking these thugs for a couple weeks now while Rick was tracking them for a few weeks."

"I'm just glad that everyone in the world isn't afraid of Leo after what happened three years ago." Zack drinks some water. "Who knew that two years later we all took on that formidable foe."

"I'll have to admit it's good to know that the world isn't afraid of Leo anymore." Sheila said.

"I remember that Ju Fen completed his training after he started living with all of you." Zack looks at her. "Do you think Leo would become a kung fu master someday?"

"I can't be certain about it. It would be good if he did become a kung fu master like Panther."

"So true, heh." Zack chuckled as he stands up. "Everyone, I am pleased to introduce our youngest kung fu master, Master Leo!" Zack presented nothing to his right as if Leo was in the room with them.

Sheila couldn't help but chuckle at his remark. She looks over at Crow with her hand over her mouth trying to suppress her own chuckles.

"It's still a surprise that he uses Tiger Style than using a different kung fu style." Sheila said.

"I would've figured he would use Dragon Style like Panther after what happened to him." Zack sits back down on the couch.

"Everyone has their own choice to make, including Leo." Sheila pointed out.

"Hm." Zack nodded. "I think it was a great idea for Leo to have the uniform when patrolling the city at night. Your boyfriend Rick did come up with an excellent suggestion."

"You mean when his adoptive father, Bruce Stark, brought up the uniform. It was pretty interesting to see the uniform for the first time when I saw Rick wore his uniform that was a little similar to Leo's uniform." Sheila said.

"Oh yeah. Bruce created the uniform after Rick left and Leo watched Son of Batman with Bruce, Leia and Kath for the first time. Bruce gave it to his maiden to deliver it to him when Leo was ten years old. He even added the retractable blades for the gauntlets and boots. Not to mention the blade can transform into a shield as well."

"Leo did become interested in those movies when he was ten years old before joining our team five years later, Sheila." Crow spoke. "I'll admit Leo was rough around the edges when he first joined us. He may be cold and insufferable, but Leo is a kind and generous soul in his heart."

Sheila watched her drink a bottle of water and sets it down on the table.

There were two people standing on the roof of a building as they watched the thugs get arrested. One of the officers was trying to figure out how to get the thug from hanging upside down on the telephone pole. The two people nodded and bolted away from the scene. They made it to an abandoned building.

One of them was wearing an orange tunic with the Yin Yang symbol on his chest. The tunic covers the black-armored body suit. He was wearing a black domino mask. Not to mention the black bladed gauntlets and black boots. The blades are curve, thin, hard and sharper than normal steel and retractable as the black boots. His silver utility belt was wrapped around his waist as he felt the wind blowing against his raven hair and black cape while wearing black boots.

"Justice, never vengeance. Justice, never vengeance."

"Heh. Funny you say "never" instead of "not" when you're using that mantra, Leo."

The young man beside him was wearing a black-armored body suit as well but he was wearing a silver domino mask while twirling his silver eskrima stick that can transform into a bo staff. The wings of a Hula was across his chest on the body suit. His hair is black and has blue eyes. "Not bad, Leo." He said to Leo.

Leo takes his hood off and turns his head to the young man. "I didn't know you were going to be here tonight, Babcock."

"I was tracking down those thugs as well, Leo. They had some extra men waiting outside while you fought the thugs inside the building, so I took care of it for you."

"Thanks for the help, then."

"You're welcome. Those guys will be in prison for a few years." Rick said.

"Hm." Leo folded his arms. "Now this case has been taken care of, I have to get going." He started walking away but he felt a hand grabbing his wrist. The teenager looks over his shoulder at Rick. "Release my wrist, Rick."

"Hang on, Leo. Instead of doing a patrol for tonight, how about we get some dinner tonight?"

Leo thought about it. He hadn't eaten dinner yet since he left the tower, and he was hungry. Leo nodded his head. "So, what are we having for tonight?"

"We'll head to Panera Bread for dinner tonight." Rick smiled. "I'm paying."

"Fine." Leo replied.

"Let's go, Swift."

"Lead the way, Hula."

Leo and Rick went to Rick's apartment to change out of their uniforms to wear their regular clothes. Leo was wearing a gray shirt underneath his dark red sweater and blue jeans while Rick was wearing a plain red shirt and blue jeans. They took Rick's motorcycle and arrived at Panera Bread. Once their order was placed, they a took an unoccupied booth table near the window. As Leo was looking through the window, Rick came over to the with their tray of food.

"Here you go, Leo. Your lobster roll." Rick places the tray on the table. He grabs his plate which is a lobster roll as well with a bowl of French onion soup. The two spent their time eating in silence while a song was playing over on the speakers in the restaurant.

"Not bad for an average night here, right Leo?" Rick swallows a piece of his lobster roll.

"Yes, it is." Leo took a drink of his water. "How come you're having soda?"

"It's been a while since I had one, so it's okay." Rick took a sip of his Sprite. "You should have one too the next time you go with the team for lunch or dinner."

"Maybe, Rick."

"Are we still doing karaoke for the mandatory fun night this weekend on Saturday?"

"Yes, they're still doing it this Saturday. But Crow and I are not singing."

"Oh come on, we never get to hear to you or Crow sing, especially you. You know I can pick out a song for you this weekend. How does Bed Of Roses by Bon Jovi, Can You Feel The Love Tonight by Elton John or the movie version of The Lion King sounds to you?" Rick smiled mischievously.

"Wipe that smile off your face, Babcock." Leo said with annoyed look.

"Lighten up, Leo. I was only joking." Rick chuckled.

"Where are you going after this?"

"We'll be heading back to my apartment. Then head back to the tower."

"You can go back to the tower. I'm staying out here until there's another a thug commits a crime." Leo replied.

Rick watched him finish his drink and he follows suit. After they finished their meal, Leo brought their dirty dishes to the bucket and Leo and Rick left the restaurant. Leo had to stop by at the store near the restaurant and they arrived at Rick's apartment. Rick's apartment was nice and big. The walls were gray, and the floor was gray as well.

The kitchen was located near the entrance. The bathroom was located down the hall to the left and the bedroom was at the end of the hall. A flat screen tv was hung on the wall where the living room stand is. Leo could see several weapons hanging on the wall. The teenager walks to the bedroom and puts on his uniform. He came out of the room and enters the living room where Rick is watching a video on his phone.

Rick looks up from his phone and took a glance at Leo. He puts his phone away in his pocket.

"I'll see you later this weekend." Leo said.

"Before you go, Leo, alright if we talk a few minutes before you head out?"

"Talk about what?"

Rick pointed at the custom diamond sword that was hanging by Leo's waist.

"The sword that you're carrying around you since Lee gave it to you a few years ago. Why do you still carry that sword?"

"I carry this sword as a reminder after Zhao attacked the palace. That and my shoulders." Leo leans back, folding his arms. "The Grand Mistress believes that Zhao will break out one day."

"I know. But if you return it if Zhao dies, would you have your very own weapon?" Rick asks him. "Then you wouldn't have to carry Zhao's sword around you as reminder of what happened to you in the past."

"We'll see what happens." Leo said.

"How are things going with you and Crow?" Rick asks him. "Is she still having those nightmares being caused by her father?"

"Things are fine between me and Crow. She has nightmares on some nights unlike the first time it happened three years ago." Leo answered.

"It started two months later. I remember that the building shook and I thought it was Zack who did it. Once the building stopped..."

"You saw me, Panther and Sheila calming Crow down after we felt the tower shake the first time when the three of us were in our own separate rooms." Leo said. "When you guys left the room, I stayed behind so she can talk about her nightmares to me."

"And the next morning, Sheila discovered your sword inside Crow's room after Misty notice you didn't go to your room that night."

"I only stayed in her room that night, strictly professional, Rick, because she had nightmares." Leo argued.

"I know, Leo. But are you sure that nothing happened between you two when you slept in the same room?" Rick asks in a calm voice. There wasn't any teasing in that tone of his.

"Nothing inappropriate happened when we slept. I was only looking out for her as a friend and teammate, and I wanted to sleep on the floor near the window." Leo started blushing.

"I know. You only did that to help Crow get back to sleep, Leo, and the two of you didn't lie when Sheila and I asked you two after lunch." Rick said. "You did good to not overstep any boundaries that night. People at your age shouldn't be sleeping together until they're older. Sheila and I both trust you to act as Crimson Dusks members of this team. The two of you were only fifteen and you're still teenagers at the age of eighteen, Leo."

"You're still giving Lee updates every day, Rick?"

"And to Bruce and the Grand Mistress."

"But you did let it slip to them about Raven and me." Leo replied.

"You're lucky though. Lee was angry when he heard about it. But Sheila did explain the reason why you slept in Crow's room and he understood the situation." Rick said. "Bruce was much calmer than Lee."

"Not only that you let it slip, Harry, Misty, Jill and Zack found out about it from you."

"Sorry about that." Rick smile's sheepishly.

"But Crow's nightmares are happening less frequently than before this week."

"That's good to know. And speaking about nightmares, Leo, what about you? Are you sleeping well?" Rick walks over to him and pulled up a chair with a concerned look on his face.

Leo knew that Panther, Ava, Crow, Sheila, Lee, Ju, Fen, Xiu, Lee, Jack, Tori, Rick and several others knew about Leo's nightmares. These nightmares have been happening since Leo was fifteen years old. Crow revealed to Panther and Ava they're not the only two who found out Leo was having a nightmare when they visited Tao Palace. The three teens talked to Grand Mistress Suzu, Master Lee and a few other masters. Suzu believes it was Leo's encounter with Sying and the incident.

The Grand Mistress has sensed it in his heart. Fear. Fear that crept in his heart after he was almost killed by the tiger and began to grow. But fear wasn't the only thing that came; hatred and anger. They all wanted to help him, but Leo refused their help. When Panther, Ava and Crow ask if he slept well and he responds that he did, the empath knew he was lying. The three of them saw him twisting and turning while muttering in his sleep for the past four nights before asking him on the fifth day.

Rick watched the young teenager turns his head away from him. "Leo?"

"I heard you the first time, Rick. I slept well last night." Leo answered.

"Are you sure you slept well last night?" Rick asks him again.

"I did. What is this, asking me fifty questions?" Leo was getting a little annoyed and irritated.

"I just want to make sure you're doing alright because me and a few others are worried about you. We're only looking out for you, and we all care about you. Because if these nightmares are still bothering you, you can talk to us and let us help you." Rick said, leaning back in his chair.

"Thank you for the concern, but you and the others don't have to worry about me. I've been sleeping well for the past few nights." Leo looks at him.

"Are you really sure?"

"Yes." Leo looks at him in the eyes.

"Ok then." Rick nodded his head and notices a small plastic bag in Leo's hand. "What's that?

"A box of tea I bought at the store next door before we left. It's the same kind Crow likes. Her and I finished the box last night after Misty had an upset stomach while Crow watched her while I made the tea."

"That's kind of you to do for Crow and Misty." Rick smiles at him friendly.

"And I was wondering if you can bring it back to the tower."

"Sure." Rick said. Leo tossed the bag to him, and he caught it with one hand. "But there is one thing that I was surprised about you."

"And what's that?" Leo raises an eyebrow.

"That you, Leo, is not afraid of a little socializing."

"Who said I'm afraid? Teammates are a liability after what happened with the incident. I'd rather work alone than to let that happen for a third time. It's why I left Tao Palace and have Panther to be the leader of Crimson Dawn. But after saving the world with a team, I don't think teammates are a liability anymore."

"And I'm not an unavoidable irritation to you?"

"Don't push it." Leo glares at him.

Rick was unaffected by his glare. "I know." He said. The young man watched him approach the door. "I'll see you later this weekend."

Leo stops as he takes a step out of the room. He took a quick glance over his shoulder and nodded. Then Leo left the room.

"I can't wait to see you sing Closer by Ne-Yo if Crow or Panther sings Every Time We Touch (Slow Version) by Cascada!" Rick calls out to him teasing before the door closed.

As the door closes completely, Rick heard his door kicked from Leo out of annoyance. He couldn't help but chuckle. The young man got up from his chair and opens the door to watch Leo walk down the hall. "Hm. I hope you do get over your fears of tigers, Leo." Rick muttered before heading back in his apartment.

Rick left his apartment half an hour later on his motorcycle to the Tower. He arrived at the Tower on the island and parked his motorcycle in the garage before he took the elevator to the top floor. Rick walks down the hallway and enters the room to see Crow drinking her water and setting it on the table as his girlfriend, Sheila, watched her while Rick was reading a book.

Sheila turns around in her seat and see Rick approaching them with a small plastic bag. "There you are. You haven't texted me back since three hours ago."

"Sorry babe." Rick sits down next to her in the chair. "Leo was quick on those rooftops. I saw him entering the building by the time I got there."

"Well Leo is still a teenager at eighteen, Rick." Sheila reminds him. "So how did it go?"

"The thugs are already taken care of outside of the building since Leo took on the others inside." Rick explained. "Leo hung the leader upside down by his feet on a telephone pole while we waited for the police to arrive. We made sure to watch from the roof and left the scene as they made the arrests."

"Then where'd you go after that?"

"We went back to my place to change before heading out for dinner at Panera Bread."

"And the small plastic bag?" Crow looked at the bag.

"A box of tea Leo bought next door after dinner." Rick pulls out the small box and places it on the table. "He told me you ran out last night."

"That was kind of Leo to do that." Sheila smiled. "Speaking of Leo, where is he right now?"

"He went back on patrol after we came back to the apartment and talked about this weekend which was an hour ago." Rick replied.

"Oh? What did you and Leo talk about?" Crow asked him.

"Just some stuff about singing karaoke this weekend."

"That's good." Zack smiled, looking across from them. "I've already chosen a few songs that I'll be singing." Zack lets out a yawn. "I'm going to hit the hay now. Are you three going to bed too?"

"We're going to stay up a little longer." Rick answered.

"Ok then. Night." Zack got up from the couch and left the common room.

Rick heads to the couch and used the remote to turn on the tv. He pulls up a movie from Max to pass the time. Fifteen minutes has passed as Rick continues to watch the movie. The doors to the common room opened to cause Rick to turn his head as the two girls turned their heads.

Leo steps into the room. His raven hair was a bit of a mess. There was a single tear in the middle of his cape. Leo stood a few feet away from all three of them. "I'm here. Do you need my report from my first patrol and or the second patrol?" Leo asked Sheila.

The leader sensed he was a little rude, but she shook her head in response to his question. "I know about the first patrol you went on when Rick joined you, Leo. You can give me the report tomorrow morning." Sheila said.

"I understand. Goodnight." Leo replied and turned halfway to the exit. "How's Misty doing?"

"She's feeling a lot better, thanks for asking. Are you going to go see her?"

"Yes. Goodnight." Leo answered as he exits the room.

"Night." Crow said to Sheila as she followed Leo out of the common room.

Leo and Crow walked in silence as they head to Misty's room by taking the elevator. He knocks on the door a couple of times.

"Come in." Misty's voice said.

They entered her room to see her lying on her bed while looking at the stars out her window. The bedrooms in the tower were all the same.

"Evening you two." Misty smiles at them.

"Good evening, Misty." Leo said to her. "Sheila tells me you're feeling better."

"I feel great after eating that expired candy Harry and Ray forgot to throw out last night." Misty said.

"I did tell Logan to throw it away." Leo said. "And he must've forgotten to throw it out."

"He and John will swing by tomorrow." Crow informs her.

"Good. I'll see you two in the morning."

"Goodnight, Misty." Crow said to her friend.

Leo gives Misty a nod and the two left the room to head back to their rooms since their rooms was right next to each other. The two walks in silence back to their room by taking the elevator. They made it to the floor and walk into the hallway where their rooms were located.

"I want to thank you for getting the box of tea that I like, Leo." Crow said to him as his hand was on the door handle.

"It's the least I could do since Misty got sick." Leo turns his head to look at her.

"I'll see you in a couple minutes so we can meditate together." Crow said. Leo gives her a nod and enters his room before he closed the door. She stood outside his room while Leo was changing out of his Swift costume for a couple of minutes. While Crow was waiting, she saw that his door was open a little bit. Crow was about to close the door so Leo can have some privacy to change into normal clothes until her eyes saw Leo standing in front of his drawers without a shirt on while wearing black athletic pants. Leo has an athletic built that made his body muscular. He worked hard on it for a long time.

According to Panther, Leo has taken interest of working out when Jenna brought him out of the house and takes him to the park when he just turned six years old. Jen explains to him it's healthy for the body to be eating healthy food and exercising. Eating junk food or fast food was not healthy to eat every day for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It could lead to getting sick or a disease. But it wasn't bad to have one every once in a while.

There are people out in the world who burns off calories by walking, or riding bikes for example. Even lifting weights. It lets the body to stay fit, stay in shape and healthy to live longer with excellent muscles. Jenna has lent Leo a couple books and magazines about staying healthy and staying fit. She knew that Leo was just a little kid and they ran three laps around the park. But it was also when they saw four people chasing five thugs from a local store a few blocks down the road. Jenna was quick to pick the little boy up and ran to the car to hide from the thugs.

They didn't know one of the thugs were hiding behind the car because their face was seen. Elenor, the girlfriend of Zhao, and Master Ben knocks the thug out cold before Jenna and Leo could get killed. They thanked the four masters for saving them. Leo asked the four masters how did they stop those thugs. Ben tells him they used Kung Fu to stop the bandits. Jenna and Ben talked in private about Leo and his tiger-like strength while Leo played with Zhao's best friend, Oliver Neilson, in a game of tag while Zhao and Elenor tied up the thugs while waiting for the police to arrive.

Two weeks later, Master Lee arrived at the orphanage after hearing Jen's story from Master Ben and Oliver. Lee had witness Leo bending a knife two days later after they first met. Leo's training was complete after several weeks. Jenna and Bay thanked Lee for helping Leo. Leo was in his room reading a book and overheard Jenna, Bay and Lee talking outside in the backyard. Bay did wonder if Lee adopted Leo, Leo would be Lee's adoptive son, not to mention to become a student at the Tao Palace. Jenna did found Leo as a baby when she was jogging that afternoon and there was no note on the blanket besides the bloodstains. She was the one who gave Leo his name.

Jenna and Bay did raise him as if he was their own son and they love him very much. Leo was the first baby to be adopted by Jenna and Bay. But they all knew if a new parent adopts a child, that child will have a new life with their new family. Lee knew how much Leo loves his adoptive mother and aunt. And they understand he's very special with his talents. While they were talking about Leo, Zen came by with his wife Suzu to check up how things are going.

Zen suggested that Leo should decide to go with Lee or to stay here. If Leo goes with Lee, Lee can continue to help him train. Leo is allowed to visit Jenna and Bay whenever they go on a mission and can stay when training was finished. Leo told Jenna and Bay that he wanted to go with Lee, and he was told that he had a surprise the next day and Lee surprised him that he adopted him.

Leo had trained and work hard on his body for years and he made sure to visit the orphanage. His athletic body looks great after all these years. While Crow was lost in her thoughts, the teenager found a black t-shirt and put it on. It took a second for the empath to snap out of her thoughts and enters his room.

"Are you ready to meditate, Leo?"

Leo turns around to look at her. "Yes." Leo answered.

The two of them walks to the center of the room and sits down close to one another, face to face. Then Leo and Crow began meditating in silence. They didn't know that Rick and Sheila was standing outside the room watching them. Both Rick and Sheila smiled and left to head to Sheila's room.

Author's Note: I'm glad that this chapter turned out great. While Leo is cold and harsh, it does show that he is a kind and generous soul in his heart. He bought the box of tea that Crow likes and went to check up on Misty once he got back from his patrol. Leo stayed in Crow's room when she was having nightmares. What do you all think of the chapter? I'm sure you would notice a couple references that I put in. Can you imagine their reaction if they found out about the diamond sword? Or Leo telling Tigress he slept with Crow because of the nightmares she's having by her father?

Looks like I still have a long way to go for this story to be done with! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Don't forget to Follow, Favorite and leave a review, everyone! See you in the next chapter!
