A Japanese Welcome Of A New Clue

It's midnight now in Japan. There wasn't a lot of people waiting for their luggage. Two people were waiting for their luggage. The man had short brown hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a brown sweater over his football shirt, blue jeans and red sneakers. The woman standing next to him was wearing a long black sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black racing shoes. She has long black hair that reaches to her shoulders and have blue eyes.

The man takes out his iPhone just in time to receive a text message.

"The two of us are here right now at Terminal 3." Kevin read the message before he replied to the message. He puts his phone away to see their suitcases coming on the belt. "And there's our suitcases now."

Jody follows Kevin to get their black and blue suitcases. With their suitcases in their hands along with their carry-ons, Jody and Kevin exits outside to Terminal 3 of Haneda Airport. Kevin spots a white car where two people were waiting for them.

The young teenager has short black hair and black eyes as he was wearing a casual shirt and red shorts with red sandals.

Standing next to him was a woman wearing a black shirt and blue jeans while wearing white sneakers. She has long black hair and black eyes.

"Evening, Megumi and Haruto. It's good to see you two again." Kevin approached them.

Megumi smiles and hugs Kevin. She shook Jody's hand. "Welcome back to Japan! It's good to see you two again!"

"We weren't expecting you to come here tonight, Haruto." Jody looks at the teenager. "I thought Lucrecia Sakurazaki was going to be with you when you pick us up at the airport, Megumi."

"I'm sorry Lucrecia couldn't be here tonight. Her friend, Mana, has become sick after a surprise attack. She's in pursuit of the attacker while Zoey is tending to Mana right now." Megumi answered.

"I see." Jody said.

"We should head back to the mansion in Kyoto. You had a long flight." Haruto said.

"It was a long, but remarkable, long flight." Kevin remarked.

Haruto opens the trunk to put their suitcases and carry-ons in the trunk of the car. Kevin hops into the back seat with him as Jody sat in the front with Megumi. Megumi turns on the engine and started to pull out onto the road. Megumi lowers the volume on the radio. It was going to be an hour to get to Kyoto since Panther's aunt's house was located in the woods. The car got onto the highway.

"So, Jodi, how are things going with Task Force 493? Anything interesting?" Megumi asks her.

"Things are fine." Judy replies to her.

"That's good. And how's the Dragon Soldier situation doing right now?"

"Uh, speaking about that, you should check out your phone out, Commander. I just got an update from Rex just now about James." Kevin said looking at his phone.

Jody pulls out her phone and read the message on Messenger. "That's interesting."

"What is it?" Haruto asks her.

The four of them spent an hour talking about the latest update from Rex. They were close to the house as they got off the main road and was driving in the woods. Up ahead in the distance was a gate. The gates open for them to drive through and closed when the car came through. Kevin could see the mansion.

"So my niece and her friend are in Gongmen City."

"That's right." Kevin looks away from the window as the car came to a complete stop and Megumi turns the engine off.

Silence fell on all four of them.

"I'm glad that those two are safe." Megumi smiles gently as a couple tears slides down her cheek. "And that my sister is relieved that her daughter and friend is safe and sound."

"Leo and Panther will find a way back to get back home, Megumi. Those two can take care of each other and protect one another." Jody assures her.

Haruto exits the car with Kevin to get their luggage and carry-on with a couple drinks. They walk up to the front of the big mansion and enters inside to see to see a staff of butlers and maidens waiting for them inside the big mansion.

"Welcome home, Mistress Megumi and Master Haruto, and welcome to the mansion, Jody and Kevin!" They all greeted them.

"I see that everyone is fine here after working for two years at your mansion." Jodi said.

"They sure are." Kevin smiled. "It was nice for the government to award the people who fought against the clone army and demons, and Leo defeated Hermonie. Some of them accepted ninety-nine million dollars with their Medal of Honor while others refused the money, but they accepted their Medal of Honor."

Kevin knew he was right and chuckled. It was two years ago when the planet was threatened to be controlled by Hermonie with her demons and clone army. Heroes and Villans had to team up to protect their world. Leo, Crimson Dusks, Crimson Dawn and Task Force 493 went after the Ex-WARRIOR. Leo killed Hermonie in a fierce duel to the death causing the demons and the clone army to disappear.

"True." Haruto said.

"That reminds me. How come you're back in Japan?" Megumi wondered.

"Let me show you in the living room." Jody replied.

A maiden led the four of them into the living room. The living room was nice and big. Jody and Kevin were sitting on gray couch as the mother and son was sitting down across from them on the black couch with a round glass table in the middle.

"So, what is it that you wanted to show me?" Megumi wondered. "You could've told me in that email you sent me."

"It's about these." Jody pulls out the book and pictures out of her black backpack and sets them on the table.

Megumi leans in a bit to look at the pictures. She stares at the pictures for several moments and turns her attention on the book.

"Where did you find these?" Haruto picks up the picture.

"Rex and Cody found these pictures in an old, abandoned library that was underground and found this book in a shrine." Kevin answered.

"I don't recognize these pictures. What kind of animal would leave a print like that?" Haruto looks at the pictures.

"We're not sure. It might have something to do with the curse of the White Tail Tigress, but we don't have enough evidence on that." Kevin said.

"I didn't want to tell you in the email of what Rex and Cody found. The people who co-opted my report could catch wind of it."

"I understand what you mean." Megumi slowly nodded. "The book might contain dangerous information."

"But there are no pages."

"This book..." She trailed off. Megumi carefully examines it in her hands. "... is missing some pages."

"There's no words in those blank pages." Jody tells her again.

"I wouldn't be too sure about it." Megumi responded. She walks over to the fireplace and sets the book down.

The book began to act strangely. Feeling the warmth of the fire caused the book to float and the fire inside engulfs the whole book. The book open with its pages turning rapidly. Then the book closed and fell onto the floor as the flames subsided. Jody and Kevin were surprised at this.

"What the hell was that about?" Jody wondered.

Jody said nothing and watch Haruto's mother pick up the book.

"There's information in this book now." Megumi opens the book.

"What?" All three of them look confused.

Megumi turns around to them. "There's a lot of information in here. I've never seen something like this before."

"Mom, do you think it came from a different realm or a different universe?"

"I don't know. Here." Megumi hands the book over to her son. "My mother and father were arguing something a long time ago when I was a baby."

"Wow!" Kevin exclaims as he saw there were words on the pages.

"I'm going to see what kind of information is in here right now." Haruto said before he lets out a yawn. "Right after I get a good nights sleep."

"That would be a good idea to do." Megumi nodded.

"Goodnight." Haruto said to them before leaving the room with the book in his arms.

"Night." Kevin calls to him.

"Your rooms have been prepared for your arrival."

"Thank you, Megumi. And thanks again for letting us stay here." Kevin said.

"Don't worry about it. It's nice to have you here back in Japan."

"Tomorrow we should plan what to do for tomorrow." The Commander said.

"Sounds good." Kevin nodded.

The three of them finished their drinks and went to their rooms to get some sleep for tonight.
