AnimeFan13579: Yes, Igris' battle does give exp. But, if you read the previous chapters, you'll see that it was mentioned in the Quest rules that that leveling up won't heal him as long as the Job Change Quest starts, so Izuku's still not in a good condition here.

"Izu..." Ochako mutters as she hugs Leo while worrying about her friends. It has been almost two hours since Izuku entered the dungeon (A/N: Izuku took one hour and 39 minutes to clear the hallway and rest, while 13 minutes to fight and defeat Igris, then another 5 minutes has just passed) and he hasn't shown any signs of clearing the dungeon.

"Milady, you are worrying too much." Leo points out. "I know you're worried about your friend, but it is unnecessary. Given that he's the next Shadow Monarch, I doubt he'll die easily."

"Leo...thank you..." Ochako mutters as Leo smiles a bit before he feels his skull being crushed as he frantically yells in pain. "...is what I would say if you would give us a proper explanation, what is Shadow Monarch!?!?"

"Aaahhh! It hurts, milady. It hurts!!!" Leo comically yells in pain.

"It will get more painful if you don't start talking, now!" Ochako yells as she starts to squish Leo's head. "My friend is in trouble and you seem to know something, but refuse to talk. So talk!!"

"O-Ochako, I understand that you're nervous about Izu-bro right now, but don't kill your spirit buddies out of frustration," Eijirou exclaims as Ochako looks at him with eyes filled with nothing but worry.

"I...I'm just tired..." Ochako mutters. "I know that this is his trial...the mission he needs to face for the next step of his strength level, but...I'm worried..."

"I know..." Eijirou mutters. "I know because I'm also worried about him. But, all we can do right now is to trust his strength and skill, just like he trusts ours." Eijirou says as Ochako looks at him. "He'll overcome this...I'm very sure...just like how he overcame his struggles before he met us..."

"...I guess you're right..." Ochako mutters but she still squeezing Leo. "But...I ain't stop until he talks..."

"...sorry, dude. I tried." Eijirou shrugged helplessly at Leo, who comically tears up. "Unless you talk, Ochako won't let go."

"Okay, okay! I'll talk! I'll talk!" Both kids looked at each other and silently gave each other a mental fist bump. "Y-your friend...h-he was chosen...to be the next Shadow Monarch...by the person who holds the moniker before him, his predecessor..."

"Tell us more..." Ochako says.

"I-!" Suddenly, a glitch covers Leo's face to their surprise before it stops and looks at Ochako. "U-um, what did you ask, milady?"

"... never mind." Ochako lets go of Leo as he floats above her.

"W-what was that...?" Ochako mutters.

"I...think it's similar to those Manhwa tropes where we're digging too deep into something we shouldn't know..." Eijirou mutters.

"...damn it!" Ochako mutters. "Why now!?"

"I...don't know..." Eijirou replies with a hint of worry. "But right now, don't ask your spirits about it, or else...I think it'll be more than just a slight glitch..."

"..." Ochako merely looks at the portal, her eyes filled with nothing but worry.

With Izuku

Job Quest Dungeon

Izuku tensed his muscles as he let loose a powerful gust of wind to knock a group of knights. Izuku ducks from incoming arrows before running away from the army.

'This is bad! Very, very bad!' Izuku thought before hiding behind the pillar to catch a breath. 'The level-up didn't give me any healing like it was stated before, my fatigue meter is high as fuck, and if it wasn't for my passive and item physical damage reduction, I would be in a very low hp.' Izuku rubs his head while thinking.

'Come on Izuku, you got to at least know how to beat this game. There's no way it'll generate an unlimited army even though the gates remain open.' Izuku thought before looking around. His sense goes haywire before he ducks from an incoming invisible attack and reaches his hand out to catch the invisible enemy by grabbing his wrist and head, following up by smashing his skull open, and grabbing the knife in his hand.

'No exp!? Wait, no, I should-! Fuck!' Izuku rolls away from incoming arrows before he activates [Hellfire] and lets loose on the armies of knights. As the flame cleared, Izuku widened his eyes when he saw a group of magicians chanting spells. His enhanced vision let him see the residual mana emitted from his hand.

'Magicians!?' Izuku thought as his mind ran at 100 miles per hour. 'I don't see them tossing fireballs like usual, so why are their hands covered in mana!? What magic do they use!?' Izuku's mind starts to click.

'Wait, those [Gates] ...could it be...?' Izuku grabs [Balmung] and uses [Power Throw] right at one of the mages, killing it. Izuku saw a portion of the army start to collapse Izuku's eyes widened in realization. His eyes twitch in anger before he focuses his target on the magicians.

If this is a comedy anime, Izuku would be growing horns as the fire starts to appear in his eyes, his teeth grow sharper, and the background is replaced with a literal hellfire. While the magicians will shrink down, covered in cold sweats as they all quiver in fear.

"...found you." Well, this isn't a comedy anime. Sadly, the magicians wish that it was. "I'mma rips your big-ass heads off for trolling me, you sorry excuses of magicians." Because Izuku starts to smile sweetly, the shadow covers his face as his eyes are replaced with two pairs of large white circles, dark aura covers his face. Izuku rushes towards them, but the knights start to block his path.

"Get out of my way!" Izuku roars as he uses [Dominator's Touch] to pull [Balmung] back, as the blade flies towards him and pierces through every knight on the path. Using his insane strength, he swings [Balmung] combined with [Hellfire] and [Thunderstrike] to clear the way. He uses the knife combined with his [Dominator's Touch] to launch it like a rocket toward two of the magicians, popping their heads like popping balloons in a carnival with darts.

Izuku continues to rush toward them as he sees them casting spells together, but his senses detect something as he halts before dodging away from an incoming giant armored fist. Izuku turns to see a giant covered head to toe with a knight's armor poorly welded together. If a blacksmith saw this, they would cry in blood at how terrible the armor was.

"Of course, there's got to be a golem...a metal golem," Izuku says as he ignites [Hellfire] and [Mana Coat] on [Balmung] before taking a deep breath. "I'm tired as fuck, and I don't have time for you..."

The golem roars as he slams his fist towards Izuku. Izuku closes his eyes as he grips [Balmung] tightly. His mind wanders back to his fight against Igris, remembering how he uses his greatsword. With every swing and stab, he remembers the feeling.

"...sorry, Igris. But, I'm taking a page from your book." Izuku opens his eyes and starts to swing his blade. In normal eyes, people only saw him swing his sword one time. But, the golem was sliced more than once. In one swing, 4 slashes appear around the golem as ut slowly crumbles.

[Congratulations: You have created a new skill [Dismantle - Lvl 1] ]

[Notice: [Intermediate Sword Technique] Has leveled up]

[Notice: [Intermediate Sword Technique - Lvl MAX] Has evolved to [Advanced Sword Technique - Lvl 1] ]

Izuku grins widely before he uses the pieces of the golem and uses [Dominator's Touch] to toss them towards the remaining magicians, crushing them with a loud splat.

[Notice: [Dominator's Touch] has leveled up!]

"..." Izuku saw the remaining knights fall to the ground with a loud clank as the gates started to close. Izuku pants a bit before collapsing onto the floor. He saw the timer as well as a notice window pops up in front of him.

[You have defeated all the monsters within the testing room. The Job Change Quest has now ended]

[You are qualified for a Job Placement in a High-Rank Class due to the number of Promotion Points you have acquired]

"...so I don't get to choose what Job I get..." Izuku mutters with a loud sigh. "Then again, it's not unexpected...from how I build my stats, a possible job will be either a fighter or a mage. But, if I'm lucky, I'll get a hybrid class between a fighter and a mage."

[Wherever the Player goes, Death follows]

"...I beg you pardon?" Izuku blinks at the ominous words in front of him.

[The smell of blood fills the air and the Player leaves a trail of corpses in his wake]

"Hey, hey, you made me sound like a psychopath!!!" Izuku's eyes violently twitch. "Why do you paint me in such a bad light!!?"

"Oi! Don't paint me as a charismatic leader who manipulates people into his side!!" Izuku says as he taps the window multiple times. "You're not bugged, are you!?!?"

"Okay, now you're starting to bullshit. Are you saying I'm going to be!?" Before Izuku could finish his sentence, the status window disappeared and reappeared. Izuku's eyes widen as he reads it. "You...have got to be kidding me..."

"...In what fucking ways do I look like a Necromancer!?!?!?" Izuku shouts in disbelief. "No, seriously, what the fuck!?!?" Izuku starts to tap the screen over and over again. "Is the system bugged?!! Please tell me that it receives proper server maintenance, especially after what happened to my [Appraisal] skill...this can't be right."

"...fuck."
