They had been going threw the library for a few days and while they did not find as much as Luke hoped, they did find some.

Mara had gone to town with Entee and picked up a couple portable data banks. When they were full of data they would take then to the ship and upload the data to the data storage room on the ship. They had already made on trip and figured they would need to make another one tomorrow.

R2 was going threw some records he had found on the Corillian system when He found the Name Lynn Jade. He copied the data then searched for what he was looking for. Once he found it he sent the data to Luke's terminal.

Luke stopped what he was doing when he recieved the data from R2. He read threw it than copied it to a data pad.

"I will be back in a minute." He left to where Mara was doing some training.

She started it as a way to keep physical busy. She could only sit at a terminal so long before she had to do something else. So she asked Luke to give her task to help her in her training.

"Mara" Luke called out as he walked in the room she was levetating some objects. Some of them fell but she did manage to keep some floating. She sent him a glare, but he just walked up and handed her a data pad.

Mara just read it and could not believe what she was seeing. It was her family. She knew her both her parents were and they were married. It doesn't say how the died but at least she knew who they were now.

She stood there silently crying. Luke pulled her into a hug. For once she didn't fight it. She just did the one thing she had not done since she was a small girl. She cried. Luke just held her and rubbed her back. He didn't say anything. He just held her.

After a few minutes she pulled back and wiped the tears away. She gave Luke a quick hug then kissed him on the lips. He was suprised at first then kissed her back.

They finaly broke apart when there was a knock on the door. "Enter." called out Luke.

Entee walked in and saw that Mara had been crying, but wisely said nothing. "I just recieved word that a ship going by the Millian Falcon as just entered the system and will be landing in a little bit. Will you or Miss Jade be going to meet them?"

"I will. Luke, I need to get some air. I also want to put this in my room on the ship. I will need to make a trip to Corillia at some point to see If I can find out any more information. Maybe talk with Corran's grandfather."

"We will need to make a trip. I wont make you take the trip on your own."

"Thanks Farmboy. OK, Entee, lets go meet our new guest."

While Mara headed to the space port, Luke headed back to dig threw some more data.

Han, Chewie and Karrde were the only ones in the cockpit when they came in to land. All the others were in the back getting ready in case they had any trouble.

Han was just coming close when Chewie called out "There is Luke's ship. Seems unharmed."

"Looks like we have a welcome commitee also." replied Han as he saw a speeder with two occupants. One a certain redhead.

Karrde looked out himself as they touched down. "She doesn't look like there is any trouble."

Mara watched as the Falcon landed. She was standing beside the speeder as the boarding ramp came down. Karrde was the first down but he had a lot of company.

"Why are you all armed to the teeth and why so many of you?" asked a confussed Mara.

"We thought you might be in trouble?" replied Karrde.

Seeing Mara's suprised look, everyone figured the pair were never in danger.

Iella came over and hugged her friend. "When Corran got your message all the Rogues were out drinking. So a bunch of us were around when it happen."

Mara just pinched the bridge of her nose and shook her head. Mirax then told her the story that she heard once she joined the group.

"The only trouble we have had was a few pirate ships on the way. We took care of them with little problem. We sent the message to Corran because we figured we would have a better chance of reaching him the Tionne."

"Well at least you know your friends will always have your back." replied Han.

Mara turned to Entee. "Looks like we have 7 more guest." Mara turned back to Chewie. "Or was anyone planning on staying with the Falcon while the rest of you rescue me and Luke."

Chewie said he prefure to stay with the ship. He had a few repairs after their last attack.

"OK, make that 6 new guest."

"Very well. We will need to make two trips. There is not enough room in the speeder."

"OK, everyone this is Entee. He is Car'das assistant. Everyone can introduce yourself."

Everyone introduce them selves and then went to get their things off the Falcon. The first group would be just Han and Karrde. Entee would then come back for the last four while Mara took the first two from the shack to Car'das's real home.

Luke was packing up one of the portable data storage units so he could take it to the ship later. The other would probably be ready tomorrow.

Luke decided to get more then just Jedi information. There was a lot here. Luke was just going to have to buy more data storage devices. Entee had already put an order in for them.

"Hey Kid." Luke looked up at Han's voice.

"What are you doing here?"

"I brought everyone to rescue you and Mara."

"What."

Han then told Luke the story on how it was that most of his friends took off on an unnecessary rescue mission.

"Well contacting Corran seem like a good time. He must not have got everything. Mara finished with we were fine and safe." said a laughing Luke.

"Well you two got a lot of people worried when you sent the message. We thought it was an emergency or you would have contacted Karrde another way."

"Well at the time it seemed like the only way. We didn't know if anyone around here had a way to contact the rest of the galaxy. We just knew we lost comunications a while back. I'm guessing Karrde is with Car'das."

"Yea Mara brought Karrde and I here in the hover car then headed back to wait for the rest to pick them up. Karrde is talking with Car'das. I came to see what you were doing."

"Not much. The droids are doing most of the work. I'm just reading anything they find that they think I would like to see."

"What do you need help with?" asked Han.

Mostly just looking threw all this to see what I want to take back with me. I do need to make a run to town to pick up some larger data storage units we ordered. I need to set them up in the cargo bay so I can transfer all the data from the small ones here to the ones on the ship."

"Chewie and I can help with that. How's the ship running?"

"Pretty good. We ran into a few pirates and had no trouble. Makes good speed too."

"You can show us all around later."

The two talked for a little while later. When the rest arrived they all greeted each other and had something to eat and drink.

Sleeping arrangements for the most part were easy. The problem was everyone needed to pair up. For the two married couple it was no problem. The problem was that they had only two other rooms, three guys and one girl. Mara ended the discussion when she said she would share a room with Luke. Of course this started some teasing.

Everyone stayed a couple days, then everyone but Karrde, Luke and Mara headed back home. Everyone had to get back to work and they all had kids to get back to also. Iella said she would make sure Cracken didn't say anything.

Leia was in her office with General Cracken. "So you got word that everyone was on their way back from where ever it is they all took off to."

"Yes, Iella sent a message that they were on their way back. They just needed to stop to pick up the Skate and Corran and Mirax's kids. She said the whole thing turned out to be nothing."

"But your still not telling me why they all left or where they all went to."

"No. You don't need to know that. You just need to know that everything turned out Ok and everyone was in route back. They should be here in a few days."

"Does this have anything to do with my missing brother. That nobody can tell me where he is at."

"I have not spoken to Master Skywalker in a while so I have no other information, other then he was taking some time off."

"Why do I have the feeling that all of Luke's friends are conspiring against me fiding him."

"Have you ever considered that what you and part of the Senate want is not what Luke wants."

"Do you have anything else for me General."

"No" Cracken then got up and left.

It was another week since the others left. Mara moved back in her room when they all left and the two continued to move things along at a slow pace.

They were now at the spaceport packing the last of the suppies on board. Car'das had arranged for the Aing-Tii to take them back to Tatooine.

After last minute good byes Luke and Mara boarded the ship. They were airborn and heading for space 10 minutes later.

When they reached space there was a strange ship waiting for them. They docked with it but never left their ship. 5 minutes after the hanger bays closed they opened again. Mara piloted the ship out. Once they were clear the Aing-Tii ship left. They were above what left of Alderaan.

"I thought they were leaving us near Tatooine?" asked Karrde.

"That's what Luke asked."

"Well we are a lot closer to our destination. If you would take us there Mara."

Mara wished they had dropped them off at Tatooine. Then she and Luke could have had a couple more days before they all had to get back to work. Now they just had a couple hours.

Mara just landed the ship in a hanger bay that Karrde owned. He told Luke he could use it when ever he wanted. Luke thanked them before they all walked down to the lower level.

Once they got there both Mara and Karrde picked up their bags. Karrde walked down the boaring ramp while Luke and Mara parted was.

"You know where to find me."

"I know, are you going to see Cracken?"

"Yea, I didn't call ahead because I didn't the word getting out I am on planet."

"You sure you don't need me to go with you."

"I would like nothing better but Karrde said he needed to talk with you once we got back. He said it was important. As much as I would love to have you with me, your work for now is with Karrde."

Mara gave him a quick kiss before walking down the ramp. Luke secured the ship then headed towards where Cracken kept his office.

Luke walked into NRI headquarters with little problem. As the head of the Jedi Order he did work with General Cracken on occations. Today though people stared. He figure it was due to him being missing for a while.

When he reached Cracken's office he was shown right in. "Good afternoon General."

"Master Skywalker, sence you are visiting me even though Iella gave a her report on the not so needed rescue mission. Also you rarely come to me, it's usually the other was around."

"May I sit?"

"Go ahead Luke, what do you need?"

"What do you know about force ghost?"

"Not much. Just that light side Jedi sometimes are able to hold on to their conscious."

"Yes and sometimes they are able to come back as force ghost, but it is just not light Jedi. Jedi that have redeamed themselves are able to do it as well."

"Your father."

"Yes, I stopped off at Dagobah on my way to the Kathol sector. First Yoda appeared before me then my father. The primary reason was to tell me about mine and Leia's mother."

"So after all that time looking, he finaly told you."

"Yes, what's worse is that R2 knew the whole time. He finaly told me a week ago. Turns out R2 was my fathers droid during the Clone Wars. He was a gift from my mother when he was knighted."

"Is he still in one peace?"

"Yes, but I am not happy with him. Back to why I came to see you. Turns out my father is worried the wrong sort of people may break into his fortress on Mustafar.

He wants me to go there and clear it out. He told me how to open the fortress and any vaults there are. Some of the stuff belong to the Order. Some of it, will be best delt with by you.

I plan on including some of the Jedi Masters in the raid. I would like you and who ever you feel you need to come along. I'll leave that to you. You might want to speak with Ackbar about a military escort. I do not know what we will find there."

"When do you want to leave?"

"I need to return home and unload my ship of all the data banks I have. It wll take me about a week to get there, unload every thing and get some droids to start going threw it. Then get back."

"OK, lets say 10 days from now. That gives you some extra time in case you get delayed."

"I will meet you back here hopefully in 7 days. I am docked in one of Karrde's bays. I will use one of his when I get back. Easier to get in or out that way."

"OK, I will see you then."

Mara couldn't believe what she was seeing. It was gone, all gone because some drunk idiot decide to fly his speeder in a hazardously way. Now she had nothing. Her ship was her home. She had an apartment her on planet but her ship was her home.

"We were able to salvage a lot of stuff. Your quarters survived the crash and the fire unit arrived right after. The guys spent the last couple weeks cleaning any smoke damage."

Mara could just nod. "What am I suppose to do now. The Jade Fire was my home."

"I don't know what to tell you. I know what it ment to you. After everything you have been threw it was really your first bit of true freedom."

"You said you saved a lot of stuff."

"Yea it's on the Wild Karrde. You want to go see it?"

"Not right now. Can you have it taken to Luke's ship."

"Luke's ship."

"For the moment. He has something to do that he is getting Cracken to help with. Since I don't have a ship to make runs with. I figured I would help him."

"He asked help from NRI?"

"I can't tell you more then it was something his father asked him to do."

"I wont ask. I trust Luke and you both. It does worry me that he asked Cracken for help. It's usually the other way aound. OK, go help Luke. It might do you some good to be a Jedi for a bit. Luke is right. It is your birth right."

"What if I decide to do it full time?"

"Mara I will support you one hundred percent. Someone needs to keep Luke out of trouble."

"Thanks Karrde, I'll give you a heads up if I start leaning that way. I better get to the ship. I don't know how long he was planning on being at the palace."

Luke was not looking forward to this meeting he had next. He got out rail car at the stop that he needed to go see is sister at her apartment. He figured it would be better there then the office.

When he reached the apartment door he rang the door chime. It was a minute later Han opened the door.

"Hey Kid, glad to see you made it back OK."

"Yea, got back about a hour ago. Needed to take care of some Jedi buisness with Cracken first."

"Well come in but be warned she has not been in the best moods since I got back."

"Well as long as we can keep on the topic I came her to share with her then we will be OK."

"Good luck with that."

Luke followed Han in the main room were he was attacked by his niece and two nephews. He picked them all up and gave them all big hugs.

"Uncle Luke are you staying for a while. Mom says when you come back you will be staying." Jana asked.

"Sorry kids I will be leaving in a couple hours. I just got some information for the family that I just learned."

"And what would that be?" asked Leia from the hallway. "And why did you even bother coming by if you were just running out again."

"Leia."

"No Han, we are his family and I have been trying to get him to stay here and help with the Senate, but he rather be out there with others. So what ever you have to say you can just leave unless it is to tell those kids there you are staying."

"If that is all you want to here then I guess I need to go. Han I will see you later. Sorry kids. I have to follow my own path, not the one your mother thinks I should follow."

"Get out."

Luke walked out the door and just before it closed he called back. "Padme Amidala Naberrie Skywalker."

With that he was gone. By the time Leia figured out what he was saying he was long gone. Han sent the kids. who were crying to their rooms then turned to his wife.

Without yelling "You had just made the biggest mistake of your life. It will be a mirical if he ever walks threw that door again. I will tell you this right now. I will not lose my friend. If he needs me I will go. If I want to go out and have a drink with him I will, If I want to go visit him I will and I will take the kids to visit him also. Try to stop me and you will make a bigger mistake. You can sleep in the spare room tonight."

Han just walked out of the room and gathered all the kids to take them out to eat. Leia sat on the couch crying after she realized what she had done.

So, no rescue was needed. Also, Leia might finally be realizing how wrong she might be.
