Annabeth's secret

The strange sound

Hello dear reader! I am Metis, titan goddess of wisdom, until of course my daughter Athena got my powers. Now I am watching my granddaughter on her journey to Eour- ooops I said too much! ~

Annabeth decided to explore the weird sound she had been hearing all night. Surprisingly, none of her siblings heard it, and they continued sleeping. She wasn't supposed to leave her cabin after curfew, if anyone couth her, she could get in trouble, but she was most worried about the camp activities director and her brother.

She was the counselor and the oldest of the Athena cabin, Malcolm is the co-counselor and has the only other person in camp who wasn't scared of her, except Chiron of course.

She looked around and in hurry left the building, but she didn't notice the only other empty bed in the cabin. Annabeth hurried to the forest to ask her "friend" if she heard or saw anything. Her owl Olive who (lol) was always watching the camp from Thalia's tree. Olive was a beautiful snowy owl. Percy gave it to her as a gift from his adventure in Alaska. Since Annabeth was a daughter of Athena, she could communicate with owls just like her mother.

Olive assured her that there was nothing wrong with camp, but then she straightened up like she remembered something.

"Sometimes Athena's eldest daughters hear the sound of Chaos. It means that they hold great power. Powers that I can tell you about if you wish. But the moment you realize what kind of powers you have it will attract so many monsters that not even the barriers around Camp Half-Blood can hold." Annabeth looked at the lake as Olive finished talking.

"Are those powers greater than the powers of the children of the Big Three have?" Annabeth asked in a serious voice.

"Yes." Olive sighted "If you wish to discover those powers, you must journey to the Black Sea in Europe. I will recommend you go through the Balkan. It's a sacred place where monsters are forbidden to live."

"Are you sending me on a quest?" Annabeth gasped.

" Well, yes, but you can take it that Athena sends you on a quest" and with that, Olive howled Annabeth good night and flew off.

"Good night" the girl whispered after her, Annabeth knew what she had to do. She started walking towards a cave in the forest...
