Chapter Seventy-Three

Awake and Alive

Over in the Arctic, Starscream was still standing on top of the Nemesis looking down at the ice as it was slowly melting due to the direct fire line that the telescope lens was giving on.

"Yes! I love when a plan comes together!" Starscream exclaimed yet his excitement soon turned to alarm when he heard an engine rumbling below and he looked to see Bulkhead and Arcee's vehicle modes down below driving towards the hovering Ship.

Starscream growled in frustration at the fact the Autobots had again discovered his plans and were coming to stop him.

"Autobots." He snarled.

"Please, Lord Starscream." Knock Out's voice was heard behind him "Allow your second in command the honour." He bowed graciously to the Seeker and smirked as he turned to his fighting partner.

"Breakdown?"

Upon hearing his name the larger Decepticon stepped forward.

"Total them!" Knock Out ordered to which Breakdown smirked and with a laugh he leapt off the Nemesis and down to the icy ground below.

Knock Out watched him go, and smiled satisfied, why should he go down there to fight and risk running his glossy paint job when Breakdown could easily take them down with one swoop?

Breakdown dropped down towards the ground and landed with a crash in front of Bulkhead and Arcee who quickly moved to avoid him!

Arcee was able to get away and transform into her bipedal form without crashing, however Bulkhead wasn't so lucky and did a couple of flips before he transformed and turned to face Breakdown who stood up and faced him with his fists up.

Meanwhile, unknown to Starscream, Knock Out and Breakdown, Optimus was climbing up a large cliffside behind the Nemesis with Ironhide not far behind him.

"Never thought I'd be the one sneaking up on the enemy Prime." He said softly "I'm normally the one kicking some tailpipe."

"I know." Prime said before putting a digit to his mask where his lips were hidden to shush his friend.

"But Bulkhead and Arcee can keep Starscream and his followers distracted whilst you and I attack from behind, we have to stop him melting the ice or as Agent Fowler stated, coastal cities are in danger."

"Darn Tootin'!" Ironhide agreed as he began to climb faster "Let's go!"

"Can't let Starscream put human lives and homes in jeopardy, Energon or no energon." The Veteran thought to himself.

Meanwhile, on the Nemesis, Ratchet and the girls had followed Bumblebee through the Ground bridge from the base and found themselves in one of the Hallways of the Warship.

The girls sat on Ratchet's shoulders almost like a parrot on a pirate's shoulder as the medic looked around to check the coast was clear.

"The Decepticon Warship!" Ratchet muttered.

"Bee bridged himself here?" Pandora asked.

Kemeko shushed her cousin and looked around anxiously as Ratchet started to run down the hallway.

Turning a corner, both he and the girls were shocked to see several vehicons lying unconscious or dead.

The Medic and the girls put two and two together as they realised that Bumblebee must have attacked them to get to where he intended to go.

"Did Bumblebee do this?" Kemeko asked scared.

"Who else?" Pandora drawled.

"I do fear Megatron's mind is dominant." Ratchet said gravely "And clearly, he came here for one purpose!"

"What?" Pandora asked.

"To use the Dark energon to resurrect his own body!"

"What? No!" Pandora shrieked.

"No!" Kemeko chimed in "Bumblebee won't let him! Like he didn't let Megatron hurt Pandora and I back at the base!"

"That's right!" Pandora cried "If Megatron was fully dominant he would have made Bumblebee squeeze us to death!"

Ratchet sighed yet that did give him a slight glimmer of hope.

"I hope you're right." He said then he took the girls off his shoulders and placed them on the ground.

"Stay close!" he said, "If anything happens, stay hidden!"

Both girls nodded and Pandora held Kemeko's shoulders as the Asian Girl lead the way as they followed Ratchet down the hallway until they came to an open door, and they saw Bumblebee standing at the berth side of the comatose Megatron and was hooking himself up at the cordial patch!

"Bumble..." Kemeko was about to shout put Pandora clapped her hand over her mouth.

Both girls looked upon the Warlord and even though he was comatose, his appearance was enough to make them feel fear, laying their eyes on the enemy of the Autobots, the Leader of the Decepticons and the one who was responsible for the War and the destruction of Cybertron.

Ratchet narrowed his eyes and ran forward to stop the Scout.

"Ratchet!" Pandora called after him "Don't hurt Bumblebee!"

"That's not Bumblebee!" Ratchet growled and he went for the possessed Scout, yet Bumblebee turned around and dodged the Medic before he could lay a servo on him and punched him hard in the chest sending him flying into a wall and knocking him out!

"Ratchet!" the girls cried in horror seeing the Medic go down then they raced over to the Scout who turned to Megatron's body and held up the glowing purple shard.

"Bumblebee no!" Pandora shouted waving her arms to which Bumblebee turned to look at them.

"Remember who you are!" Kemeko joined in "Remember us!" she gestured to herself and Pandora.

"I know you always listen to us no matter what!" Pandora yelled.

Bumblebee stared at them silently, his optics narrowed then widened and he shook his head as if trying to wake up and he bleeped and whirred at them.

"That's right Bee!" Kemeko cried triumphantly "It's me! Kemeko!"

"And me! Pandora!" Pandora cheered feeling hopeful that they were getting through to Bumblebee.

Bumblebee shook his head as he found himself in control, but it didn't last long as he felt Megatron control his mind, and the warlord looked through the scout's eyes at the mutant hybrid and human girl below.

"Unbelievable!" he growled and started to fight for control again.

Yet Bumblebee bleeped and tried to fight back as Pandora and Kemeko's words then grabbed his head and fell on his knees.

Kemeko rushed over to him and grabbed his arm yet as she did, Bumblebee looked up and glared before shoving Kemeko away like an irritating fly!

"Kem!" Pandora cried as she saw her cousin go flying and turned to Bumblebee then she saw Ratchet who had recovered and go over to Megatron's body before grabbing the cable in his chest.

"Farewell Megatron!" the medic snarled and yanked it out hoping to cut off the life support yet Bumblebee saw him and went for him!

Ratchet ducked avoiding a punch from the possessed scout but Bumblebee grabbed him and with surprising strength threw him over his head and over to where Kemeko was getting to her feet.

"Ratchet!" both girls cried, then Pandora glowered and took out Mr Swinger as Bumblebee turned back to Megatron's body.

"Bumblebee!" Kemeko screamed "No!"

The scout stopped and turned to the Asian Girl and held the shard up before him.

Kemeko paused and looked at the scout's narrowed optics and she prayed her Autobot friend was still there.

Yet to her horror, a deep menacing and slightly distorted voice was heard from the Scout as he glared down at her.

"Bumblebee can't hear you anymore!"

Kemeko's blood ran cold as she heard that voice, and it reminded her of the voice of the Shredder.

She was also shocked to actually hear Bumblebee speak since until now he only spoke in bleeps and whirrs and she was very sure that voice wasn't his!

"No...No!" tears filled her eyes as she looked up at the Scout who was now a puppet and Megatron was the Master.

"As much as I want you to leave Bumblebee's body." Pandora's voice was heard "I can't let you go back to your own!"

Kemeko looked over and she saw as Bumblebee had been distracted, the Hybrid had climbed onto Megatron's body and was on his large chest and she had Mr Swinger out and in action.

"Pandora!?" she shouted in fear and disbelief, "What are you doing!?"

Bumblebee also looked over and he saw Pandora throw the ball end of Mr Swinger towards the shard and the chain wrapped around it and she pulled hard trying to yank it out of the Scouts hand very much like she would yank weapons out of the hands of her opponents and enemies.

But Bumblebee pulled hard against Pandora and due to how small she was compared to him, she was yanked forward and sent flying through the air almost like a target from a slingshot!

"Pandora!" Kemeko screamed in terror but luckily Ratchet again had recovered from being thrown a second time and he reached up and grabbed the hybrid in his servo like catching a baseball before she hit the wall.

"Got you!" he cried then gently placed her on the floor "What were you thinking?" he demanded but he decided to berate the hybrid later as he saw Bumblebee walk up to Megatron's body and raise the shard above his head.

The medic and the two girls could only watch in horror as Bumblebee plunged the shard deep into Megatron's spark chamber and stood back.

The shard sank deep into Megatron's spark chamber then the once comatose Warlord opened his eyes!

As that happened Bumblebee shook his head and bleeped a few times confused as he regained control of his mind and body, then looked up in fear as the Warlord slowly got up from the berth and towered over the Scout.

Ratchet's energon ran cold as he saw the evil Decepticon warlord stand above them and he glanced down at Pandora and Kemeko where he saw the two girls hugging each other in terror.

"That's him..." Pandora whimpered.

"Megatron..." Kemeko squeaked.

"Oh shit..." they muttered together.

Megatron glared as he stood tall and vented, finding himself back in the land of the living once more.

"Decepticons!" he bellowed "Your rightful Lord and Master has returned!"
