Chapter 41: Ponies Moving In
Up on a stray cloud in close proximity to the Princess and Lavender, a pure white Pegasus with ice blue and white striped mane and tail watched the Princess and the lavender colored Unicorn with mint blue and mint green striped mane and tail take their tour. "That pony with the dog is really pretty. Kinda cute too.", she says when they're out of hearing range. She's in the sky, but also close enough to the ground to jump from her cloud and flutter to keep herself from hurting her legs. This Pegasus had just arrived in Cloudsdale with her older brother, who is her twin, who heard her comment as he just arrived behind her. "That's a surprising statement from you." Her brother is also pure white, and his mane and tail actually looks like ice, though they really aren't. The sister startles a bit and looks behind her. "Frosty, don't do that. That's a good way to give a pony a heart attack." Frosty chuckles. "Sorry, sorry." He flies in front of her.
"So, how's the unpacking going?" He got annoyed, "It would go smoother if you helped." The sister held up her forehooves. "Alright alright. I just saw the lavender pony and wanted to really see her colors and features. She's cute, and really pretty, although you already heard me say that. Stalker.", she says jokingly and pokes her tongue out playfully. Frosty chuckles, "Well come on Ice, let's finish unpacking, then you can go introduce yourself." Ice nodded, then followed her brother to their house. "So, why the weird comment? It's not like you to say something about a mare like that. Normally you go on about stallions." Ice shrugged, "I dunno... maybe I'm turning bi... brother, would you desert me if I am bi?" Frosty looked at his little sister, "I would never. No matter what. You're my sister and my family." Ice smiled, "Thank you." Frosty patted her head, then they got to their home and started unpacking.
In Ponyville, another brother and sister were moving in, though in different houses, as they don't need to support each other. Ice Dancer and Icecapade, both Earth ponies and very good ice skaters, coming from Manehattan, moved into an apartment complex that was just built a few years ago. As well as Lavender Mint. The siblings were unpacking already. Lavender had her things with her. She was carrying them by magic. Since she is blind, she doesn't need to worry about her things blocking her view. Lucky just arrives at the complex with Lavender. Another pony named Solar Flare, a Unicorn, is also just moving in. She is also unpacking. The apartment complex can fit 8 ponies. 4 on top, 4 on bottom. In space, a pod was traveling, it was heading in the direction of Ponyville, but it would be arriving in the middle of the night. He would be the last to move in. Marina, another tenant, an Earth Pony, is moving in. Lightning Sky and her husband, Citrus Blast, a Unicorn, already moved in when it was first opened to ponies.
At the time, there were no other ponies interested, but now a few years later, ponies were hearing about this and some expressed interest. Another by the name of Fencer, an Earth pony, was also just moving in. 7 are now occupied, the 8th will be tomorrow by this alien. Lucky was surprised when all these ponies expressed interest almost all at once a few years after the apartment complex was built. Lavender Mint had the help of the Princess unpacking. "Thank you so much Princess for helping me." Lucky smiled, "You're welcome."
~3:45 PM that day~
Lucky is showing Lavender and Buddy the last place. "And this is the restaurant. You can eat outside if it's a nice day." Lavender smiled. "I like being able to eat outside on a nice day. I think I will like this restaurant." Lucky smiled. Ice then made herself known. She flew down from her cloud. "Hiya. I'm a citizen of Cloudsdale. Just moved in today with my twin brother. I'm Ice Frost." Lavender, looking not at her, though heard which direction the voice came from and turned in the direction, smiled. "I'm Lavender Mint. This is my seeing eye dog Buddy." Ice then tilted her head. "You're blind?" Lavender nodded. "Aw, that stinks. Well, good to know you can get around still then." Lavender smiled, "Yeah. I'm glad I can still get around too." Lucky cleared her throat. "I am Princess Lucky Fire of Ponyville." Ice looked at Lucky. "R-Right..." She then bowed.
"You may stand. Nice to meet you Ice Frost." Ice Frost stood. "You too Princess." Solar Flare then went by them. She then looked back, then faced them and bowed. "Good afternoon Princess." Lucky smiled, "Good afternoon Solar." Solar smiled then went on her way. Spitfire then came flying, practicing with her team. Lucky looked up with Ice to watch them. "Spitfire, Fleetfoot, Soarin, Blaze, Surprise, Fire Streak, High Winds, Lightning Streak, Misty Fly, Silver Lining, Rapid Fire, and Wave Chill.", Lucky lists off. "Whoa, cool. So the Wonderbolts practice above Ponyville?", Ice asked. Lucky nodded, "Sometimes." Solar looked up as the Wonderbolts pass her, at the same time, Spitfire looked down as she did a trick. 'Why does that pony have the same exact colors as me?', she thought to herself. Then she went down, curious, the others following her. "Hey stranger, what's up?" Solar blinked twice, not expecting Spitfire and her team to land right in front of her.
"Just taking a leisurely walk." Spitfire smiled, "Cool, I was just practicing with my team." Solar smiled, "Funny though that we are able to talk, because my mom said that I have a twin who is a Pegasus and who lives in Cloudsdale and is the captain of the best flying team around and whose name is Spitfire. You, Spitfire, are my twin. I knew we would meet eventually because of where Cloudsdale is located, above Ponyville, so I would have waited patiently for the day we met, no matter how long it took for you to come down here." Spitfire blinked twice, "Huh? You mean, we're long lost twins?" Solar merely nodded. Spitfire couldn't believe it. She had a twin, her father said nothing about her having a twin. Spitfire stepped closer to Solar. "This is unbelievable... I have a twin..." Then she hugged Solar. "Nice to finally meet you." Solar hugged back, getting teary eyed. Spit's teammates all smiled, happy for the twins. "Yo Spit, should practice be cancelled for the rest of the day?", Fleetfoot asked. Spitfire let go. "Yes. It is cancelled for the rest of the day, but I expect all of you to meet me at the academy tomorrow to make up for the rest of today's practice." They grinned, "Yes ma'am!" They saluted and then went back to Cloudsdale.
"So Spitfire, should we catch up on times? I just got an apartment here in Ponyville. We can go there and talk." Spitfire nodded. The twins then went back to the complex. Ice Dancer went for a walk in the park. She can't wait until the next Winter Wrap Up. Her special talent being ice skating, she would be a great asset to the ice scoring team, as well as her brother, who is younger than her by 2 years. There she met Thunder Crash, who thought Ice Dancer was really pretty, and really cool. Later that night, while everypony was sleeping, the pod in space had finally landed, it landed right on Town Hall, effectively waking everypony up. Everypony came rushing out of their homes and to the Town Hall, or, what is left of it. Pinkie gasped exaggeratedly, the other ponies gasped loudly and started murmuring. Then a pony, who was jet black, with a yellow mane and tail, the cutie mark of a shooting star, and with wings not of this world, stepped out dazed and staggering. "Ugh... totally not what I was planning... hope I didn't wake anypony up...", he said in a completely other worldly language to himself, rubbing his head.
He stopped rubbing his head and looked up. "... um... hi?", he said in Equestrian. Some ponies started screaming and running around, others took fighting positions. The alien pony held his hooves up. "Hey hey, I am not going to hurt any of you. Don't be scared of me." Only one pony went up to him, though tentatively. "My name is Marina. You're able to speak our language?" The alien nodded, "I studied your world and was fascinated. So I wanted to come here and meet the ponies of this world. My name is Dashing Star." Lucky then went up to him, then a bright light shone and emerging from it came Luna and Celestia. They had teleported from Canterlot. "Princess Lucky, is everything ok here?", they asked. Lucky nodded at them. "Everything's fine... except the screaming ponies... ENOUGH ALL OF YOU!", she said in her Princess Voice. That got their attention and they stopped screaming and running around. "Better, now, this alien seems to be civil and harmless. Let's hear what he has to say." Lucky then turned to the Canterlot Princesses. "See, I have everything under control." Celestia smiled.
"Good work, though we're staying. This is an alien and we have to be in charge of taking care of him if he shows any signs of wanting to harm anypony or this world." Dashing nodded, understanding. "I understand. I can assure you though, I mean no harm to anypony, nor do I mean any harm to this world. I will allow you to follow my every move if you so desire." Celestia nodded. "I do so desire alien. You are not of this world and though you may look like one of us, it could be a disguise." Dashing shook his head. "No disguise ma'am. This is actually what the ponies of my world look like. We look exactly like the Pegasi of this world, only difference being is our wings, as you can see. Though our wings are 'sensitive' as any other Pegasi's wings in this world, so please, don't touch my wings." Celestia looked at Lucky. "He's telling the truth, I can feel it." Then she looked at Applejack, her being the Element of Honesty. "He is Princess. Ain't no lie in there, he's all honest." Celestia nodded.
"Ok, so that really is no disguise. Any strange powers?" Dashing shook his head. "Nope, we can't even do weather like the Pegasi here. Though I probably could kick out clouds, but that would be about all I or my race could do. I am from the planet Zoranth. It is outside your Solar System, of course. I am concerned though, what did my pod squish and destroy in doing so?" Lucky answered, "My Town Hall. Thank goodness nopony was in it." Dashing's eyes widened. "I am so sorry ma'am. That was your workplace?" Lucky nodded, "As well as some other ponies' workplace." Dashing's ears flattened, "My apologies. In the daytime, I will help rebuild the Town Hall, if you will allow me.", he said, bowing. Lucky smiled, "You may stand alien. I will allow you to help, as it is your fault. Thank you for the offer." Dashing stood up. "Thank you ma'am. I take responsibility for my actions, and this is no exception."
"A good trait to have. You still are telling the truth, it seems you have good intentions." Dashing nodded. "I do ma'am." Celestia and Luna were still cautious, though they trust Lucky and her 6th sense. "Princess Lucky Fire, we will stay here still. We trust you, but we still are cautious of this alien. We will keep watch on him. Allow him to move into the last apartment in your new complex that was just built a few years ago." Lucky nodded. "Yes Princess. Alien, us townsponies will clean this up tomorrow with your help. Everypony, no need to fear. Go back to bed. Us Princesses will handle him now." The townsponies obeyed their Princess. The other tenants of the complex having to walk back with the 4. Marina included. "So Marina, you have a really pretty name." Marina blushed, thankful for the darkness. "Th-thanks." Dashing chuckled. "Aw, didn't mean to embarrass. My apologies." Marina shook her head fast. "Mm-mm. Don't apologize. I-It's quite alright." Lucky leaned in close to the Canterlot Princesses. "I have a feeling of crush between the two of them.", she whispered.
Celestia and Luna both looked warily between the two of them. "I still don't trust this alien quite yet Lucky. Do not let your guard down, no matter what.", Luna whispered back. "I know, I know. Don't worry. I've been a Princess for 11 years. I know what I'm doing by now.", she whispered back, then said to them to ask Solar and Fencer if they could stay with them b/c their apartments are on either side of the alien's. Then in a normal tone, though Princess-meaning-business-like tone of voice as well, "Lavender, mind if I stay in your apartment until the alien is in the clear and can be trusted?" Lavender startled at being addressed to in that manner. "Um, s-sure." Lucky smiled, "Thanks." Luna then addressed Fencer the same way Lucky addressed Lavender. "Fencer, do you mind if I stay in your apartment with you for the same reason?" Fencer looked at Luna, "I have no problem with it." Fencer is a lavender pony with a scruffy pink and black striped mane and tail and with scars all over her body. So she's a rough and tough pony.
Celestia then addressed Solar Flare. "Solar Flare, may I stay with you for the same reason?" Solar looked back and nodded, "You may Princess." They all got to the apartment. The last apartment to be filled is on the top floor. Solar lives on the left side of it and Fencer lives on the right side of it and Lavender lives below it. "Alien, you will need to get things for your apartment. We will do that tomorrow as well.", Lucky said. Dashing nodded. "It is also an honor meeting Princesses, though I wish it wasn't this way." Lucky smiled sadly, "Honestly, me too. Though this is protocol for aliens being on our planet, especially in Equestria." Dashing nodded, understanding.
~next morning~
Lucky, Luna, Celestia, the tenants of the new-ish complex and the townsponies all were outside, cleaning up the remains of the Town Hall. Dashing had removed his pod with the Princesses' help. The Unicorns were using their magic to lift the heavy stuff, the Earth ponies were carrying the remains of Town Hall with carts as well as the Pegasi. Dashing said that he's good with tools, so he could help rebuild Town Hall. Lucky agreed to it, her and the other two Princesses would of course, be supervising him. When they got it all cleaned up, the construction ponies got to work, with Dashing helping. Lucky, Luna, and Celestia are doing their paperwork, but also at the same time they're keeping watch on Dashing. Sweetie Belle goes up to Lucky. "Hi Princess!" Lucky looked over at her and grinned. "Hey Sweetie." Sweetie looked over at Dashing. "So, an alien huh? That's a first. Certainly interesting though."
"Yeah, no kidding. Though unfortunate we have to regard him with suspicion and keep tabs on him and supervise him, it's protocol and it's understandable." Sweetie nodded. Sweetie then sat next to her. "Isn't it hard to double task like that? Doing your work and keeping an eye on Dashing." Lucky shook her head, "No, not really. Course though, I did have practice sometimes at work, if ponies visited with me while I worked. Like you." Lucky wrapped her wing around Sweetie in a hug-like way and grinned at her. Babs, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo all came up to them. "Hey, look girls. Looks like they finally got together.", Babs said. Lucky and Sweetie blushed. "Not really, but... I think we could. We are old enough, at least, in my mind. Not too sure what mama would say.", Lucky said and chuckled. Rainbow looked over to them, she was helping build, as well as Applejack and other ponies who were good with tools. "I still say 25!", she called over to them. The 4 of them laughed.
Rainbow grinned. Applejack chuckled, she had heard too. "I'm kidding. I suppose you could start dating if you want to. You do seem to be old enough, and definitely mature enough." Lucky smiled happily. "Thanks mama!" Rainbow nodded, then got back to work. So, with more discussion, supervision, and paperwork, time had passed and the frame to Town Hall and half of it being done, the ponies building called it quits for the evening. Lucky smiled. "Looking good everypony." The ponies who were working on it grinned, "Thank you Princess." They all then dispersed for home. Sweetie stuck with Lucky and the Princesses and Dashing as they went to the furniture store and other stores for things he needed for his apartment. The Princesses carried things in their magic, Lavender, Citrus, Solar, and Sweetie even helped. "You Ponyville ponies are very kind, helping me carry my things like this.", Dashing said. "Yeah, this town is a great town, and it's got a great Princess running it", Sweetie said, smiling up at Lucky.
Lucky blushed. The others giggled/chuckled. They reached the complex and Dashing's apartment. They put things where they thought would make his place look good, and the food and stuff they put either in the fridge or cupboards, depending which type of food they are. Dashing kept telling them they didn't have to but they insisted. He just sat back and watched. When they were done, they all bid him a good night and then went to their own apartments to have dinner, Sweetie staying with Lucky and Lavender. Lucky introduced Lavender to Sweetie. "Hello Sweetie. Nice to meet you." Sweetie smiled and returned the greeting. Lucky asked Lavender if it would be ok for Sweetie to stay over, Lavender said it was ok. Then Lucky fixed supper, which was pretty good Lavender and Sweetie thought. She even fed Buddy, though his dog food of course. Lavender and Buddy went to bed, but Lucky and Sweetie stayed up for a little while longer. "So, now that we're finally together... what now?", Sweetie asked.
"Dunno. Don't feel any different from when we were just friends." Sweetie nodded. "I know right?", she said. "Maybe Aunt Twilight has a book about relationships and what ponies in a relationship do." Sweetie nodded. "Probably. We can see her tomorrow and ask." Lucky nodded. "Well, I'm tired. Let's get to sleep. Night Sweetie." Lucky nuzzled Sweetie. "Night Lucky." She nuzzled her back then they both fell asleep.
A/N: well, some of my twins weren't supposed to be twins . especially Solar :/ I forgot Spitfire were those exact colors when I made Solar, though Solar's eyes are red and not orange, that being the only difference other than their race. Course, I only saw Spitfire once, that or not at all, I forget, but when I saw Spitfire either for the first time, or again, I was like, '….' then I got on my laptop and looked at Solar then I facepalmed. 'oops, accidental twin making' I said to myself. Only twins I made on purpose are Thunder and Lightning. The others, not on purpose XD oh well. Well, hopefully the chapter was enjoyable :)
