Chapter 46: The Truth and Lucky Released

The next day, Lucky had therapy again. This time after lunch. Lucky had to stand again. This time it was a tad easier, but she still hurt. "Ugh, I hate this. But I had a duty to my town and the ponies who live here, my pain and my injuries were worth it if it meant my ponies were safe." Redheart smiled, happy to hear her Princess was devoted to the town and the ponies who live here. They continued the therapy for a couple hours before calling it quits. Rarity had now come in for a visit to her room, as that's where she is now because it was 5 minutes after they ended the therapy session. "Hello Princess.", she said. Lucky looked up. "Hey Aunt Rarity." Rarity sat at the side of Lucky's bed. "How is your therapy going?", she asked. "Slow but good. It still hurts to try to stand, hay, even to try and sit up. Though trying to sit up doesn't hurt as much as trying to stand."

"I see. I do believe it would be pretty hard to do this kind of stuff all over again, it also must be frustrating." Lucky nodded and said, "Yeah, it truly is. I wish I didn't have to relearn everything... would be easier." Rarity looked sympathetic. 2 months pass and she can finally stand, and even sit up without any stiffness or pain. The reason it went so fast, even in her off time from therapy, when her family or friends visited, she asked them to help her out so she can get better faster. Sometimes they told her to slow down and rest too, but she was determined, and her determination paid off. So now she can start walking therapy. "Alright! I can finally start walking!", Lucky said, hopping out of her hospital bed, literally.

Redheart giggled. So Redheart started out with her moving her legs slowly. It was a slow process, but Lucky, as usual, was determined. After 3 hours Redheart called it quits. "Well, that's enough for today Lucky. Though I know you'll still be practicing. Just take it easy ok kiddo?" Lucky nodded. "Don't listen to her, she won't take it easy.", says Luna jokingly. Terra giggled. Lucky looked over and smiled. "Hey Celestia, Luna, Cadance, Terra, Golden, and Broad." They greeted her. "And not fair Luna, I do listen... sometimes." Luna grinned, "Told ya." Redheart chuckled and left. Lucky was sitting in the wheelchair, though she got out of it and her friends went to her and hugged her. "Hey Lucky, you're standing now huh?", Golden asked.

"Yeah. Just started to move my legs so I could walk." Lucky then moved her left foreleg, though slowly because it was still a little painful. She has a bad scar on it. That's the one that Midnight had gotten really bad. "How wonderful!", she said. Lucky grinned. "Princess, you missed me getting my cutie mark... it's the Earth and it has flowers surrounding it." Lucky smiled sadly. "Sorry kiddo. My almost dying and coma couldn't be helped. I had a duty to my town and ponies. I have to keep them safe. And it sounds awesome." Terra smiled, "I know, and it is awesome." She showed Lucky. "Whoa, cool Terra. How did you gain it?" Terra turned back around. "I was outside gardening right? I was pulling out weeds, or trying to... then I used my magic, I can use magic now, and it helped me to pull it by weakening the Earth so that I can be stronger than it and the weed I was trying to pull. It was unexpected, so I of course fell onto my back, which hurt, but then my flank glowed and this appeared. I knew gardening was my destiny once I used the Earth weakening magic."

"Whoa! Sweet! That's probably the second best cutie mark story I've heard since mom's story. Hers was a really cool story that involves proving that the Sonic Rainboom is in fact not a mare's tale, but true." Terra's eyes widened, "Oooo, neat." Lucky smiled. "That's the same rainboom that made Twilight lose control of her magic in Canterlot trying to pass the entrance exam to my school, and the same one that got the other 4 of the Elements of Harmony's cutie marks. They all got theirs at the same time, which was in and of itself, unique and special.", Celestia said. "Wow! That's really neat!", Terra said. Then she gave a small cough, having used a loud voice, though her cough wasn't as bad as it used to be when she was younger, and now she doesn't need a wheelchair at all now either. She definitely got stronger in the 8 years it's been.

"Really?", Luna and Cadance asked Celestia. "Yes, really. It's in one of the letters Twilight sent me years back. I'll show you it when we get back to Canterlot soon. Speaking of going back to Canterlot soon, it does seem that Dashing has proved himself on more than one occasion.", she said. "Yes... it does, I suppose.", Luna said. "Luna, why do you still consider him suspicious?", Lucky asked. "Well... I just... I just don't trust him still... it's my own personal opinion..." Lucky sighed and shook her head. "Luna, if he's proven himself more than once, then that should have convinced you. It's been 8 months already since he's been here. The reason has to be deeper than just not trusting him at all. Tell me Luna.", Lucky said.

Luna looked at her, then at the others. Lucky got the hint. "Everypony, could you leave us alone for a bit?" The others nodded, then left. "Luna, could you put me on my bed please? Then you can sit there too, across from me." Luna nodded and put Lucky on her bed and Lucky sat up. Luna flew onto the bed too and sat down. "Now, tell me the real reason you still don't trust him." Luna sighed, and then dove into her story. "Years ago, when Celestia and I were probably about 14 and 12, way before Discord and way way before I turned into Nightmare Moon, there was this alien, came from the same planet as Dashing, his name was Aqua Storm. He seemed nice at first, but then he got involved in some bad things with bad ponies he met.

"He enjoyed being bad, so eventually he went to bigger and badder things. He tried taking over the world. Celestia and I had to battle him. He... well, he was my crush... I had a crush on him, but then he turned out bad... it broke my heart. I couldn't fight him. Celestia had to fight him by herself...", Luna was teary eyed. Lucky scooted closer to her and nuzzled her. "I understand now. Because of that only Zoranthian who had come before Dashing, you don't trust Zoranthians anymore. Also the fact you had a crush on that certain Zoranthian. I'm so sorry Luna.

"Though, this is a time where we actually know friendship, the only ones who don't are ones who live in bad conditions. When I was in Hoofington, the city where my soul went, I saw other DMS members. They were in a secret place. Me being able to walk through walls and make myself invisible, I saw more DMS members, though they kept themselves a secret from the other members. I listened in and found that out. I think we have a new enemy, but as with the three DMS members we brought back to Ponyville with us, the ones who let true friendship into their hearts, I think we can befriend the other DMS members as well."

Luna looked thoughtful. "More DMS members... huh. Oh, and Lucky, you weren't here for the enemies your moms and their friends fought, but there were other enemies. Nightmare Moon, who was actually me in my jealous state of my sister, Discord, and Queen Chrysalis." Lucky tilted her head, "Oh? Huh, well when I was 5 I knew my family were the Elements of Harmony, but I didn't hear about the enemies they faced." Luna nodded. "Though, you do have a point... more ponies are friendly than bad. So... I suppose I could trust him... maybe a tiny bit..." Lucky smiled. "I'm sure he won't disappoint. If I was in soul form still, I could see inside his mind, I did with the last DMS member to be befriended."

"Really?" Lucky nodded. "Interesting, though thinking on it, kinda makes sense a soul could do that. Too bad you can't do it again." Lucky nodded, "It would be cool if there was a spell to see what's in one's mind. That way I don't have to be in soul form." Luna nodded, then got off the bed and told Celestia, Cadance, Golden, Broad, and Terra they could come back in. They visited and then when it was time to go, they left. So, the next day, after her therapy, Lucky looked through spell book upon spell book, trying to see if there was a spell to look into one's mind. When she finished, there was no such spell. She grinned, she grabbed a piece of paper, and ink pot, and a quill and thought of a way to create the mind reader spell.

After a really long time of thinking, she got some idea of the spell down. After a while, she lay down the quill, figuring she'd figure more out tomorrow. So the next day, after therapy, she continued her idea for the spell. She actually finished it at the end of the day. She grinned and set the paper at her table. She had Fluttershy get Luna the next day, so when Luna arrived, Lucky told her of the spell she invented. "Really? May I look at it?" Lucky nodded and gave her the paper so she could look at it. "Wow, this looks good. Can't wait for you to try it out on Dashing." Lucky made a :/ face and said, "Know what? I've been thinking, and maybe you should try it out on Dashing. You're the one who has a problem trusting him, I think it makes sense for you to try it out on him."

"You really think so?" Lucky nodded. "Well... I guess, but how do I let him know without offending him?" Lucky thought. "Maybe you could just tell him the truth. Just let him know about the former Zoranthian and he'll understand, I'm sure of it." Luna looked down, then nodded. Lucky tried to move her wing, but she still can't. "Ugh... stupid wing..." Luna looked at her confused. "Ah, I can't move my wings... it's the stiffness or whatever." Luna made an 'oh' face. "Maybe a massage would make them better?", Lucky thought out loud.

~Luna's point of view~

"A massage? That might work. Want me to massage them?", I asked. Lucky just shrugged, "Sure." I sat on her bed and she put her back to me. I started massaging her wings. "Owww... they hurt.", she said. "They will for a bit, but they should get better after a bit.", I reassured her. "Yeah, I'm lucky that my one wing I landed on didn't break or even fracture." I grinned. "Well yeah, your name is Lucky after all." Lucky looked at me, "Yeah yeah yeah.", she said, while grinning. I just chuckled and kept massaging her wings. After probably 5 minutes, she rustled one of her wings. "Hey, my wing moved. They feel good too." I stopped massaging and let her move them. They moved, so a massage was definitely what they needed.

"Awesome, they move!" I smiled. "Good." I got off her bed and she put her back to the head of the bed. "Thanks a bunch Luna." I smiled, "No problem. Well, I'm gonna go review this spell and talk to Dashing." Lucky nodded. "Alright, see ya Luna, tell me how it went." I nodded, picked up the paper in my magic, and went out the door. When I got to Fencer's apartment, I sat on the couch and looked over the spell. Fencer came in shortly, "Oh hi Princess. Back already?" I looked up. "Hello Fencer. I'm just looking over a spell Princess Lucky created." She looked impressed. "Princess Lucky invented a new spell? That's awesome." I smiled and nodded, then went back to the spell. She sat next to me and looked at it too. "Wow, seems complicated, then again, I'm an Earth pony. I can't do spells."

"True, though it does look a tad complicated, even for an Alicorn as myself." Fencer looked at the title. "Mind reading spell? Why would she create that?", she asked. I explained the reason Lucky even created the spell in the first place. "Ooooh, I see now. Sorry that happened Princess." I just shook my head, "It's alright, it was years ago anyway." She still looked sorry. I just smiled gently at her then looked back at the spell. After I was done, I set it on the coffee table. "Hey, Fencer? Mind if I practice the mind reader spell on you? Just to make sure I can do it?" She shrugged, "I don't mind, I guess." I faced her. "Alright, well, here goes then. Oh, and keep relaxed. It won't work if you aren't relaxed." She nodded. I focused on the mind reader spell.

I focused on her mind, and my own conscious mind, making sure I don't get lost in Fencer's mind as I explore. Also to keep me from not being able to come back to my own mind. Then my horn powered up with that midnight blue aura it takes on when I use magic. Fencer definitely looked relaxed, so I went ahead with the spell. What I found was interesting. Basically her past and her fencing experiences and how she got the scars she has. Basically from her rookie years of fencing. I left her mind and came back to myself.

"Whoa.", we both said at the same time. "That was interesting Fencer. Were you thinking of that when I searched?" Fencer nodded. "I thought you might be interested in my special talent." I smiled, "That was nice of you Fencer, and yes, I was kinda interested in your past fencing experiences. Now though, to go to Dashing's and do the same spell so I can get some closure." Fencer nodded and I headed to Dashing's apartment. When I got there, I knocked. It took a minute and he answered. "Hello Princess Luna. What brings you here?" I sighed, bracing myself for this interaction with him. "Well, not to be offensive, but I still don't trust you for reasons I will explain."

So I explained to him, and then mentioned Lucky's idea and new spell she created just for this. Dashing understood and let me in his apartment, which is surprisingly clean. He sat on the couch and I sat across from him and told him what he has to do. Then I had to relax, after I relaxed, I went ahead with the spell. When I entered his mind, I found nothing suspicious. He just wants to make an honest living here in Equestria, start a family, and be a working pony like everypony else. Oh, the thing about this spell is, even if the pony you're performing the spell on is thinking of false things, the spell will seek out the truth and destroy the false things. So Dashing truly is to be trusted.

I stopped the spell and looked at him as he looked back at me. "I'm very sorry, but I do hope you truly understand my mistrust in you.", I said. Dashing smiled, "I already told you I understand Princess. I will say it again though, I understand. You're just trying to get the truth, and I hope the truth helped." I smiled back, "It did, thank you Dashing for letting me do this." He nodded, then we talked for a while, me interested in his home planet. (I know you guys gotta be interested in his home planet too, Zoranth, but that will be for another chapter. I just wanna finish this without going past 6 or 7 pages .)

~now back to 3rd person and back to Lucky~

So, it took her another two months with determination and practicing outside of her therapy sessions, so it took her 4 months total, so 4 months later which it would probably be... April, well, it took 6 months for her to wake from her coma, so plus this 4 months it would be 10 months and I figure the attack was in June. Wow... Well, she is now walking and just released from the hospital. Her family, the 6 Elements of Harmony, and Sweetie Belle and the three other Princesses and Lucky's biological family and her friends, pretty much the entire town of Ponyville and Cloudsdale, all were waiting in anticipation for her release.

When she went outside, they all cheered and hugged her gently. Lucky smiled, happy to finally be out of the hospital. "Aw yeah! Finally released!" Everypony cheered. "Now, how about that ribbon cutting ceremony?" They stomped their hooves in approval. Lucky led them all to the Town Hall, which the ponies who work there, did work in there, only because the ribbon had not been put up yet. The whole ordeal with Lucky has kept them from putting it up and even made some forget all about it. When they got there, Lucky asked, "Where's the ribbon?" Lyra answered, "Well Princess, with you being in the hospital, and being hurt, I guess we kinda forgot all about it." Lucky just said 'huh' and then asked where a ribbon could be found.

"I have one right here! I keep ribbons all over Ponyville just in case of ribbon emergencies.", Pinkie said, taking a ribbon out of the bush the ponies had planted on the same day the Town Hall was finished. Lucky chuckled, good old Aunt Pinkie. Lucky kinda missed her antics. Pinkie had to be calm and cool in the hospital, as to not stress out the patients. Lucky had magicked it around the Town Hall. Then Twilight teleported to the library, then back, arriving with scissors. Lucky took them in her magic, then cut the ribbon. The ponies all grinned and cheered, the ceremony finally done after 10 months.

A/N: interesting lol. Lucky creating a new spell, Luna's reason for mistrust in Dashing, and Terra finally getting her cutie mark ^^ oh, and Luna did tell Lucky how it went with Dashing, plus, 6 pages, I got my wish lol. Hope this chapter was good :)
