A/N: I would have these reactions in the last chapter, but it exceeded 7 pages XD it reached 8 pages, so I was like, 'i'm making this a new chapter XD' so yeah. It's a new chapter lol. Chapter 53: Reactions
~meanwhile in Ponyville~
Everypony in Ponyville heard Lucky and they looked in the direction of where her voice was coming from. Applejack, who was at her apple stand in the middle of Ponyville, heard Lucky and grinned. "That's mah girl.", she said proudly. Rainbow, who was arranging clouds, as it was supposed to be partly cloudy today, heard Lucky and smirked. "You tell them Lucky. They don't need to be giving you a hard time.", she said. Twilight, who was being the librarian she is, heard Lucky, and so did the other ponies who were in the library too. "Wow, it looks like the ponies of Hoofington found out about their relationship and started giving them a hard time. Lucky is making a very good point though. I sure hope they listen to her.", Twilight said. Everypony there nodded in agreement. Pinkie was at Sugar Cube Corner tending to a table of ponies when she heard Lucky's rant. "Go Lucky! You tell those meanies off for being meanies!" Everypony there chuckled/giggled.
Lightning and Citrus are grinning. "Good for Lucky, defending herself and Sweetie.", Lightning said. Citrus nodded. Bonbon and Lyra are smiling about Lucky's amazing and inspiring speech. Vinyl and Octavia look to where Lucky's voice is coming from and are surprised by her Princess Voice. "Wow... the ponies aren't very nice in Hoofington are they?", Vinyl asked. "Not really. I've been there before and I know what they're like. I'm not surprised they're giving Sweetie and Lucky a hard time.", Octavia said. Everypony else in Ponyville are looking on in awe at Lucky's speech. Some commented saying it's inspiring, others saying it's very deep, others just enjoying listening to what she has to say. Cherry Blossom is in Ponyville, getting some cherry blossom tree seeds when she heard Lucky. She smiled and teared up. "Thank you Lucky... that speech was very uplifting and inspiring.", she said. The sales pony smiled at Cherry Blossom and agreed.
Sunflower, Rose, and Spring Flower were in their flower shop. The mares taking care of the flowers and Sunflower running the cash register. They heard Lucky and they smiled. "You're an awesome cousin Lucky. You're very determined and very inspiring. You stand up for what's right and you stand up for everypony, no matter what. You bring criminals to justice, or if they're reformable, you reform them. You're also an amazing Princess. Never change. Though I highly doubt you will.", Flower said. Rose and Sunflower smiled at Flower and agreed. Ice Frost and Lavender are hanging out together. "Go Princess!", Ice Frost said. "Good going Princess, get through to them.", Lavender said. Buddy woofed. Solar Flare smiled. "That's our Princess.", she said. Fencer said the same as Ice Frost.
~In Cloudsdale~
Thunder was making storm clouds at the factory. When she heard Lucky, she was grinning proudly. "Good for you Little Princess. Stand up for us LGBTQ ponies. We deserve equality too.", she said. Wishful Comet was at the Wonderbolts Academy training and she heard Lucky. "Nice one Princess.", she said, and the speech helped Comet get motivated and she worked harder. Spitfire was training some ponies at the academy. "Alright Princess!", she said. Flash and Thunder were hanging out together and they heard Lucky. "She's really a lez?", Flash asked. They hadn't heard from Lucky in a while and they hadn't heard anything about her from anypony. The last they saw her was when she was 14 and she was going all through Cloudsdale helping some of the ponies there and they saw her in passing. They had made up a hoofshake when she was 8 and they did that when they first saw each other then they talked, catching up.
They did get a letter from her telling her change of address and the reason she's there. She apologized for not visiting them in 2 years, but the Princess work she is getting now is getting a little much to be able to visit anypony anymore. They understood. Being a Princess is very taxing on time. "It seems like it.", Thunder said. "Wow, who knew she'd be so bold as to date a female such as herself? But, who are we to judge? We've known Lucky for 8 years and she's a really cool filly. Just because we just found she's lesbian, doesn't change our minds about her. She just happens to like females. Doesn't change her personality or anything.", Flash said. "Exactly. It also seems she's trying get that same point across to the ponies in Hoofington. I hope they get the lesson in their heads and change their minds about same gender relationships.", Thunder said. Flash nodded. Derpy heard Lucky's speech as well and she smiled. "Yeah Princess!", she said.
~In Canterlot~
Rarity and Fluttershy are at work, Fluttershy taking care of a sick kitty, when she heard Lucky's voice. "Oh my... Sounds like she's giving them quite the talking to...", she said. The cat meowed in response. "Yeah. Loud is right. Maybe she doesn't know she's projecting her Princess Voice all this way." The cat meowed again, saying 'maybe.'. With Rarity, she's working on some dresses and outfits for clients, some famous performers. She heard Lucky, "Oh my... Poor Lucky is getting a hard time from everypony. I do hope they listen to her..." At the castle, Golden Armor, Broad Sword, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna all heard Lucky. "Yup. She is activating her Princess Voice for sure...", Luna said. "I can't help but feel bad for her and Sweetie Belle. Though it does sound like Lucky is holding her own very well. She's making an excellent point.", Celestia said. Broad Sword is smiling at Lucky's speech. Golden Armor is smiling too. He wholeheartedly agrees with her.
Terra, in school, looks out the window at where Lucky's voice is coming from. Her classmates and teacher do too. "Wow, Princess Lucky is all riled up isn't she? Though, who wouldn't be with what she's going through right now?", the teacher said. Terra just agreed with the teacher. Golden Quill paused her lesson to listen a little bit what Lucky's saying. She smiled and thought to herself, 'Way to go Princess.', then she continued her lesson.
~In the Crystal Empire~
Cadance and Shining Armor are doing their royal work, when they all of a sudden hear Lucky's 'everypony enough' thing. They stop what they're doing in surprise. Then they hear what she's saying next. They listened to her whole speech and smiled. "Good job Lucky. Great speech.", Cadance said. "You said it Lucky. Good going.", Shining said. Aphrodite and Skyla both heard Lucky too. They smiled. They hadn't seen Lucky in a while, so to hear her was good enough. Especially hearing her new speech, which they thought was long, but they liked it.
~In Baltimare~
Cat Nip and his wife had heard Lucky. They're definitely proud of her. They wish they could see her, they haven't seen her since she was 5. Though they have wrote back and forth to each other, so they keep in touch for sure. The last letter was Lucky telling them that her and Sweetie had changed address again and the reason is because of them watching over a 3 year old until they get back to Ponyville. They were shocked at first, but they remembered Rainbow being only a year older than her when she took Lucky in, when Lucky was 5, only 2 years older than Pyro. They wished Lucky luck in getting her speech through to the ponies of Hoofington.
~In Mareami~
Stella was doing her work when she heard Lucky, yeah, Lucky's voice traveled that far. Lucky wanted to project her voice throughout Equestria, so that all prejudiced ponies would hear her. She didn't dare project her voice anywhere else in the world, as the rest of the world is at a major time difference than Equestria. Anyway, when she heard Lucky, she was surprised. She hadn't heard of her relationship yet. Lucky tries to write to her friends, but sometimes she doesn't get to get everypony. Stella is amazed that Lucky has a marefriend, but she smiled. Long as Lucky was happy, she didn't care. She pretty much thought the same thing as Flash. Stella's heart went out to Lucky and her struggles in Hoofington.
~In Las Pegasus~
Fire Dancer and her parents all heard Lucky. They knew of her relationship with Sweetie Belle. Fire Dancer's mother, being a traditional old school pony, wasn't too thrilled about her niece, Fire Dancer didn't care if her cousin was lesbian or not, and Fire Dancer's father didn't mind. When they heard Lucky though, Fire Dancer was chastising her mother, saying Lucky is right, that just because she has a marefriend, doesn't mean Lucky's on the lowest point of the social ladder, that Lucky deserves equality just like everypony else. Fire's mother said nothing, although she is considering everything her daughter and niece said. Fire sent out her thoughts of good luck getting through to the ponies and even Fire's own mother. Fire's father said her speech was an amazing speech and that the ponies better listen to her and treat her how she should be treated.
~back in Hoofington~
It seemed everypony's thoughts were sent to Lucky as well, and Lucky started getting all her friends' and families' thoughts and praises. It was too much for Lucky though. She put her hooves to her head and groaned. "I feel sick... my head... is swimming..." Lucky then fainted. "Lucky!", Sweetie said. "Pwincess!", Pyro exclaimed. Sweetie knelt down next to Lucky. Some ponies around them just stood there. Pyro didn't know what to do. She ran back and forth, wondering what to do, if Lucky's ever gonna come back to them. Some ponies just stood there. She noticed this. "Why you just standing dere?! Do someting! She needs help!", Pyro chastised them. They didn't do anything. "Listen to her! Come on ponies! It's as Lucky said, just because we're marefriends, doesn't mean we don't deserve the same respect straight ponies have. We're ponies no matter what. We deserve equality. Now get that through your thick skulls!" Some ponies looked unsure of what to do, then they decided they would get help. A few ponies remained.
Pyro smirked. "Good.", she said. "Why do you care about this pony so much?", a pony asked. Pyro got a mad look. "She isn't just a pony... she's a Pwincess! She's weawwy nice and a good fwiend and a good Pwincess. She helped me weawwy good wiff my pwobwems. Maybe she might help me wiff my magic, as you can see dis wing on my hown. I make stuff go on fire wiff my magic not meaning to." The ponies looked at each other. "Well... I suppose that's a good reason to defend her... I mean, if she helped you out...", one pony said. "She also helped two bullies at school become nice. They were Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Lucky helped Diamond Tiara to not lash out at ponies who didn't trust her. Lucky told her she needed to stay calm so that ponies know she's changed. After time passed, Diamond Tiara is actually nice and she doesn't lose her temper at anypony anymore.", Sweetie said.
Then the ambulance cart came and Sweetie magicked Lucky onto it and climbed on herself and magicked Pyro onto it as well. The EMT looked at her curiously. "Pyro here is Lucky's cousin. She's staying with us for a while.", Sweetie explained, using the same reason Lucky gave the pony who showed them the apartments. They nodded, then brought Lucky to the hospital. Lucky was checked in and a doctor checked out what's wrong. "Whoa, what is this scar?", he asked, looking at Lucky's chest. "Oh, that... that's from a DMS member called Midnight Ranger. Lucky and Midnight got into a fight, Lucky was defending Ponyville from him and he kind of got her really bad with a knife.", Sweetie explained. The doctor looked surprised. "Wow, how bad was it?"
"Really bad... it punctured a lung, and... she was in a coma for 6 months... he ripped her soul out of her body with a spell... and I think that's why she was in a coma that long...", Sweetie said, getting teary eyed just from that memory. Pyro noticed the tears and nuzzled Sweetie. The doctor did look sympathetic. It seems Lucky's speech got to him. Sweetie smiled a small smile at Pyro. "Well, nothing seems to be wrong with her, but we'll keep Princess Lucky here to see how she does. When she wakes up, we'll check up on her and if she's doing well, we'll let her go home.", the doctor said. Sweetie nodded and thanked him and asked if she and Pyro might be able to stay with her. "Of course." Sweetie smiled. "Thanks doctor." He smiled back and left. Sweetie looked back at Lucky. "You'd better be ok Lucky...", she said. Pyro watched Sweetie, then said, "She is ok Sweetie. I know it. My heawt tells me she's ok." Sweetie looked at her curiously. "Your heart is telling you she's ok?" Pyro nodded. "I dunno why my heawt does dat, but it does. It stawted happening when you weft da apawtment mad. I told Pwincess Wucky dat I know in my heawt dat you would be back."
Sweetie got thinking. Pyro... she does have a second name... it's Heart. "Oh! I think I know why. Your name is Pyro Heart. The Heart in your name could be why your heart is telling you things, like, how you know things are ok in your heart.", Sweetie said. "Weawwy? Whoa, dat's neat!" Sweetie nodded. "Yeah, and your special talent might be that too, you knowing things from your heart." Pyro nodded, "Yeah, dat would be cool." They heard a groan and they looked at Lucky. It had been probably 30 to 45 minutes since Lucky fainted. "Where am I?", Lucky asked. "The hospital. You fainted and we were concerned.", Sweetie said. "Wanna know why?" Sweetie and Pyro nodded. "Oh wait, let me get the doctor back in here, that way he knows why as well.", Sweetie said, then went out and got the doctor back in. "How are you feeling Princess?", he asked. "My head hurts, but that's to be expected. The reason why I fainted was cause like, every one of my friends and family were sending thoughts out to me. Even other ponies too, like in Ponyville other ponies were sending thoughts out to me. It overwhelmed my 6th sense and I fainted because of the amount of thoughts I was receiving.", Lucky explained.
"Ah, I see. Well, now I know what to do if that happens again. Just bring you home and lay you on your bed until you wake up.", Sweetie said. Lucky nodded. "I knew you were ok.", Pyro said nuzzling Lucky. Lucky smiled. "You knew in your heart?", Lucky asked, knowing the answer. Pyro giggled and nodded. Lucky was released after a check up and when she got home, she wrote to everypony. She did the same thing as she did when she wrote everypony her new address. This time... it was a sort of improvement. Not a great improvement though. She put the letters in the mailbox after taking out her Princess work. When she got inside, she sat at the table and got to work on her Princess work.
