Chapter 56: Two More DMS Captured!
About three days after Pyro's birthday, Lucky decided she would do her homework before going out to find more of the DMS members. Sweetie Belle was still home, but would be leaving later for work. If Lucky isn't home before she goes to work, she'll ask Machine if he could foalsit. Lucky is flying around Hoofington, getting a nice aerial view. Plus it might help her to see if she can see any of the DMS members she spotted when she was in soul form. So far she's seen normal things happening. "Well, doesn't look like there's any DMS out today...", Lucky said, disappointed. As she was flying towards home, she saw something suspicious. She narrowed her eyes in suspicion and flew closer. It was actually some DMS members. "Sweet, I can catch them all. (~unintentional Pokemon reference XD~)", Lucky said quietly to herself. She flew closer and landed on a rooftop right by them and hid. Actually, she tried the invisibility spell Luna put on her when she was getting Pyro's ex-parents.
Lucky managed a bit of it... she got her muzzle to disappear. She blushed heavily. She tried reversing the spell, but nothing happened. She groaned quietly out of embarrassment. She figured she'd have to go to Celestia or Luna to reverse it. She teleported home to Sweetie and Pyro. "Sweetie Belle...", Lucky whined. Sweetie and Pyro looked up. Sweetie smirked, tried, and failed not to giggle madly at the sight of Lucky. Pyro started laughing. Lucky blushed heavily again. "Not funny... I'm going to Canterlot to have either Celestia or Luna fix this. I'll teleport there. That way I can get this fixed ASAP.", Lucky said. "Can I go?", Pyro asked. "Sorry Pyro, but I need practice teleporting with another pony with me. I don't want anything to happen to you in case it doesn't work.", Lucky said apologetically. Pyro looked down in disappointment, but she understood. Lucky nuzzled her. "Don't worry Pyro, you'll see Canterlot sometime, and maybe even meet my young friend Terra.", Lucky said.
"Tewwa?", Pyro asked. "Yeah, she's a very weak pony, but she has gotten stronger since I met her when she was 4. She's 12 now and has her cutie mark already. Her cutie mark story is awesome. The second best since I heard my mom's cutie mark story." Lucky then proceeded to tell Pyro of her mom's and Terra's cutie mark stories. When she was done, "Whoa, neat!", Pyro said, amazed at Rainbow's, cause Lucky told her that Rainbow getting her cutie mark chain reacted and got the other 5 of the Mane 6's cutie marks at the same time. "I know right? But now I must go to Canterlot." Lucky sighed and then closed her eyes and seriously concentrated. She hasn't traveled that far by teleportation ever. She concentrated on Canterlot castle, and decided on the library of the castle. She pictured what the library looked like, she kept that picture in her mind for a bit, then her horn glowed and she teleported.
When she reached her destination, she opened her eyes and was relieved she appeared in the library of Canterlot... or so she thought. She was actually in Twilight's library. Twilight came out of the kitchen. "Lucky?", she asked. "Aunt Twilight?", Lucky asked. Twilight then noticed Lucky's muzzle was missing. "... ~snickers~ What happened to your muzzle?", Twilight asked, amused. "Ha ha, very funny Aunt Twilight. I tried to use the invisibility spell, but it didn't work, as you can see... ~smirk~ or should I say, can't see." Lucky chuckled at her joke. Twilight shook her head, but she was smiling. "Nice try on the joke Lucky. Well, where were you heading? Here or somewhere else?", Twilight asked. "I was trying for Canterlot Castle's library. Seems I got yours by mistake. Close though, not bad huh?" Twilight nodded, "It was actually a pretty good try. Do it again, concentrate harder.", Twilight said. Lucky nodded, "Oh but first, Pyro wanted me to teleport her with me to Canterlot Castle. I told her no because I didn't want anything to happen to her cause I need to practice teleporting with another pony before I even think about bringing her with me on a teleportation trip."
"Good answer. When you get back from Hoofington for real, I will teach you how to... hmm, actually, you can practice now.", Twilight said. "What?! Uh-uh, no way Aunt Twilight. I'll try that when I'm like, 21 or something. I might not be able to do it and you might get hurt.", Lucky said. "Don't worry Lucky. I trust you." Lucky stood beside Twilight, but she was seriously uncertain. "I really don't want to Aunt Twilight. I dunno what'll happen.", Lucky said. "Just concentrate super hard on you and me reaching the same destination. Picture us both inside Canterlot Castle's library. Really focus on what we look like and what the library looks like. You know the key to magic." Lucky took a deep breath. 'Concentration... concentration is the key to magic. Concentration is my friend. It will help me bring Aunt Twilight and I to Canterlot Castle's library. Focus, concentrate...', Lucky thought to herself. Then her horn glowed. Her mint blue aura surrounded her and Twilight. Then she teleported them both. With a yelp Twilight landed outside of the castle and Lucky in the library. Lucky opened her eyes. She didn't see Twilight.
"Oh no!", she said. She galloped to the door, but she heard a small bang and looked behind her. "You were so close! I was just outside of the castle. I told you you could do it. Like I said, I trust you, so don't be scared.", Twilight said as she hugged Lucky. Lucky smiled a half smile and hugged Twilight back. She's so glad nothing bad happened to Twilight. They then walked to the throne room together. Lucky had on her Princess things, so ponies know she's on royal duty. Lucky opened the throne room doors with her magic. Celestia and Luna looked up and they saw the doors open by a mint blue aura. They know it's Lucky. They stand up. Lucky and Twilight walk in. "Princess Lucky, to what... ~snickers~ oh my... what happened?", Luna asked. Celestia was a master at hiding her amusement. She was smiling gently. "Don't deny it Celestia, I know you're amused by my predicament too. I can read your feelings remember?", Lucky said. "I know, but I am being considerate ~looks at Luna when she says 'considerate' then looks back at Lucky when she finishes her sentence~ towards your said predicament.", Celestia said.
"Ok ok. Thank you for being considerate. Well, also to answer Luna's question, I tried using the invisibility spell because I had found the DMS, but... it only covered my muzzle... could one of you reverse it?", Lucky asked. Celestia nodded and used the reverse spell. Lucky's muzzle was visible again. "Thank you so much! Now I won't get snickered at." Lucky gave Twilight and Luna a look. They both grinned. Lucky and Celestia shook their heads. "Well Lucky, would you like me to put the invisibility spell on you so you can arrest the rest of the DMS?", Celestia asked. "Please?", Lucky said. Celestia nodded and put the invisibility spell on Lucky. Now Lucky was completely invisible. "Thank you so much. I'll come back for the reverse spell when I catch them, hopefully I can find them again. It did seem they were going in for a meeting in the building I saw them by. I'll be back, with the rest of the DMS captured." Lucky grinned confidently. Then she teleported back to Hoofington, right above the building she had seen the DMS by. She then hovered by the window. She sees them! She flew to the door and opened it ever so quietly and closed it just as quietly. She hid behind some boxes.
"Ok everypony. You know the plan. Let's go get the Town Hall!", said the leader. As they DMS were approaching the door, Lucky hopped out from behind the boxes. "Stop right there!" The DMS members looked all around. "Where did that voice come from?!", asked one. "Dude, that's the Princess's voice, I recognize it from the big speech she gave Hoofington for the grief she and her marefriend were getting.", said another. "Attack everything! She's around here somewhere.", said the leader. Now chaos ensued. Lucky fought back valiantly. The DMS fought just as hard as she. But it being one on 18, the odds were not in her favor. She erected a barrier at one point to deflect a pretty bad spell. It wasn't nasty, but it wasn't what she wanted to happen to her. She then thought of a spell, and she executed it. It hit one and they fell. 'Got one!', Lucky thought to herself. "Ugh, great, she got one, but let him be. He wasn't that strong anyway. Let's try and get the Princess.", the leader said. 'Jeez! Evil much?', Lucky thought to herself. 'Seems like this group of the DMS isn't like the other group. These guys are even more evil. I gotta watch my back.' Lucky felt a presence to her left and she jumped out of the way and hovered.
"Ugh, this is too hard... Boss, how about we try when she's not invisible?", one asked. "No, we are not leaving and trying again! Come on guys, advance! She's only one pony! We're 17 strong!", the leader commanded. The one looked exasperated at the leader's command. Lucky grinned. At least she knows they can get exasperated even with their own leader. Maybe that will be their downfall. At that moment she thought that, Lucky got a vision. The invisibility spell started to wear off with her vision. The DMS can see her. They don't know what's happening to her. This is the first time ever she's having a vision of this, for lack of a better word, magnitude. She saw something in the distance. She saw something that looked like a group of ponies. They were arguing horribly. Lucky could feel the super anger throughout the group. In real life she had her hooves to her head. She couldn't take it. But the vision kept on. It was actually the DMS, Lucky could tell when the 'fog' cleared. Fog in quotes cause it was like a fog was keeping the vision from being clear, but it's clear now.
They were all fighting. It seemed like two of them were fighting for position? It seemed the leader was actually being challenged. The pony challenging him was actually the pony who was earlier exasperated at him. The others were all arguing, they were split. Lucky could then see some leaving. She heard the one say he was going to recruit more ponies for the DMS. The other said the same. 'Oh crap... this won't end well...', Lucky thought to herself. The vision then changed. Now it was in Hoofington Park. Lucky and Sweetie were fighting alongside the Elements of Harmony and even alongside the other 3 Princesses and Shining Armor, even Aphrodite and Skyla. There were way more DMS than the others fighting them. Lucky and her crew were losing, badly. 'No... this can't happen... it won't happen! Not while I'm around!' Lucky then broke out of her vision. "What the hell was that?", asked a DMS member. "A vision of the future. Trust me when I say, stick together. It will be for your own good.", Lucky says in a serious tone. "Why should we listen to you?", asked the leader. "Because, you should.", Lucky said. The leader snorted. "Weak reasoning. We'll do what we want." Lucky got a pissed look.
"You'll do as Ah say, whether ya agree or not! Stick together 'n you'll not fray at the edges in yer whole plans ta take over the government! Ya need ta do this, otherwise everythin'll be thrown inta chaos!" Lucky's eyes flashed red, literally, as she told them how it was. They all took a step back, actually a little scared of the Princess of Prophecy. "Um... ok?", one of them said. "Dude, she's actually pretty scary... I'm out of here.", another said. Lucky got him with her magic before he even reached the door. He lay unmoving like the other pony she got earlier. "Y'hear me? Do. As. Ah. Say. You'll regret it if y'all don't... Let that be a warnin' to ya.", Lucky said as she nodded toward the second unmoving pony. They all nodded. She felt they were telling the truth so she relaxed. Though, this time, she's mistaken. That vision took a toll on her truth detecting abilities, and it'll last for a few minutes. But now that her power surge is over, she is weak as hay. The leader noticed this. He told the others and they all marched over to where Lucky was, their horns glowing. Lucky backed up. She knows now that she's not gonna win. She then backed right into a corner. She closed her eyes tight. This was it. This was going to be her last fight.
She prepared for the inevitable barrage of spells that were gonna happen and they happened alright. Those spells left Lucky in bad shape, but not enough to be super hospitalized again. She has bruises and scrapes, not gashes or nicked organs. The DMS roughed her up. Then they left, feeling accomplished at having beaten up one of the powerful Princesses. Lucky laid there, not unconscious though. She was breathing heavily. She looked at the two fallen DMS members. They were still unmoving. Only because of Lucky's binding spell. It will wear off in an hour. They're still conscious too. After a few minutes, Lucky tried moving. She was able to, but it hurt a bit. She pushed through it so she could bring these two to prison. She picked them up in her aura and brought them to the police station. When they were locked up and the magic nullifying rings were on their horns, Lucky teleported to Canterlot Castle. She appeared in the throne room. When she got there, the two Princesses there stood up immediately, a little shocked.
"The invisibility spell, it wore off?!", Luna exclaimed in a surprised tone. "Yeah, I had a nasty vision..." Lucky then described it to them. When she was done, "Oh my... that's not good. For the Elements of Harmony, all of us Princesses, and even the Prince and Sweetie, for us all to not win, or even come close, they must be even more powerful than we thought. But... that's if they split right?", Luna asked. Lucky nodded. "Oh dear. We must prevent that. Also, Lucky, how about you stay here tonight? It looks like you've been through the wringer. I could tend to your bruises and scrapes.", Celestia offered. "No, I'll head back home. Sweetie Belle and Pyro will worry. I'll be fine. I have Sweetie to take care of me. Plus, the DMS agreed to stay together, I'm sure they told the truth.", Lucky said. "Well, if you're sure about going home tonight...", Celestia said unsure. "I'm sure." Lucky then teleported to her apartment. Machine was there with Pyro. Seems Sweetie left for work already. Machine and Pyro looked at Lucky. "Whoa. What happened?", Machine asked, getting up. "Nothing major. It's just a few scratches and bruises. They'll go away soon.", Lucky said, going for the ointment for infection prevention. Lucky rubbed it on her wounds and bandaged herself up.
Machine looked unsure. "It's ok Machine. Lucky's stwong.", Pyro said with certainty. Machine smiled at Pyro. "You know, you're right little one. She sure is." Pyro smiled back. Lucky even smiled. "Thanks for the vote of confidence Pyro.", she said. "You're welcome!", Pyro said. "I'm gonna get a nap... I'll stay up late to do my Princess work." Lucky nuzzled Pyro and hugged Machine. "Oh, before I go for a nap, Sweetie warned you about Machine's insane side right?", Lucky asked Pyro. Pyro nodded. "Ok, well, I'll probably not see you before you go to bed, so night Pyro.", Lucky said, then went to bed. Pyro watched Lucky sadly. "I tink she went frough someting bad...", Pyro told Machine. "I think so too little one. She won't tell us what though... maybe she will tomorrow or something.", Machine said. "Maybe. I hope so. I wanna know what happened. I wanna know if she got da DMS or not.", Pyro said. "I do too. Maybe her and the DMS fought and she got those injuries from their fight. Hopefully somewhere in that fight she got at least a few arrested and brought to prison." Pyro nodded.
A/N: trying hard to get fights in there and trying to make them last a bit. This is hard :/ well, at least i'm trying hard. I want to entertain you with my story. I don't want it to be boring. I want it to be interesting. Sure, there'll be a couple or few chapters that won't be great, but it happens to the best of us writers. Hopefully though this chapter was good and thrilling :) I also try not to make Lucky too OP or too susceptible to weakness. I want you to see, that even though she's an Alicorn Princess and super lucky, that she is susceptible to some weakness and ordinary things like other ponies. I want you to see that she's just like everypony else. Hopefully you do see that. Hopefully I write that well.
