Chapter 103
Robin watched Tore as he collected himself. nine hundred twenty six years ago? What was the world like back then?
"I guess I can't start my story without talking about my parents, your grandparents." Tore said with a soft smile.
Robin didn't even think about her grandparents.
"My... grandparents?" Robin asked. Tore nodded.
"My father's name, and your grandfather, was King Burusu, he ruled the Isle. My father and the people here were from an alien race called "The Lecnians." Tore said, "I'm only half Lecnian. That makes you about a quarter Lecnian!" Tore said.
Robin looked at herself. The blood of an ancient alien race and the Uchiha in her veins?
"Our people lived up here for centuries even before I was born, my father was the first king ever to try and make contact with "the ground world" as they called it." Tore explained.
Robin continued to listen to Tore's story.
"Scouts had been sent out to find the closest civilization below the Isle. There was an island directly below, it's known as the North Blue today, but back then it was the homeplace of the shinobi..." Tore said.
Robin's eyes widened.
"The entire North Blue?... The shinobi occupied all of it?" Robin asked.
Tore nodded.
"When my father and his team got there, they noted how incredibly beautiful and taken care of this island was. The island was cut off into three sections, each ran by a Jito. The island sections were named: Okino, Ishida, and Ishihara islands. A bridge at the end of Okino island took you into Ishida Island and a rough hike past the mountains took you into Ishihara. There were multiple clans scattered throughout each. Okino Island was known for it's beautiful forests and mountain ranges, Ishida was known for it's beautiful plains and for growing probably the tastiest food I've ever eaten!" Tore laughed.
Robin laughed with him.
"Ishihara was pretty much a cold wasteland, but there were clans who stayed there anyway, I found out much later they were the smart ones... when things went left." Tore said.
Tore and Robin stared out at the beautiful flora in the garden for a moment.
"What do you mean, when things went left?" Robin asked. Tore waited a moment, then spoke.
"My father went to the ground world proposing a treaty. Wanting to share the blessings of the sky with the people on the ground. That's how your grandparents met. Everything seemed to go fine until... that night." Tore said looking down.
Robin stared with concern.
"Your grandmother was from an ancient ancestor of the Uchiha. They were called the Usakami Clan. Naturally, they owned the sharingan, but the sharingan, as with most of the things that were misunderstood back then, was seen as a curse. It seemed like any time anything bad happened the sharingan was involved. So, anyone who was found to have it... was killed." Tore said.
Robin's eyes widened slightly.
"Something happened the night my mom awoke her sharingan... and two girls in her village got killed. She became an outcast and was a criminal throughout the entirety of the three islands. With no where else to go, she left with my father." Tore said softly.
"But... that interfered with the treaty... didn't it?" Robin asked.
Tore smiled.
"You're a smart girl, Robin. For harboring a criminal, the shinobi world wanted nothing to do with my father or any of the Lecnians." Tore said.
TOKITARI VILLAGE 927 YEARS AGO
It was a bright and sunny day in Tokitari village. The birds were chirping and the kids played happily. An elder woman came outside to water her garden, when she looked up with shock.
"What in the world is that?" The elder asked out loud.
A kid picked up a ball and saw a shadow below him getting bigger and bigger! The kid looked up and dropped the ball he was holding.
"Cool!" The kid yelled.
In a flower shop, a young woman watched as her manager ran outside to see what the commotion was about.
"MINAKI! I'm going to see what this fuss is about! There's talk of flying horses and golden men! You stay here and watch over my beautiful flowers!" The flower shop owner yelled as he ran outside. Customers inside the store could be heard talking about what was going on.
"Flying horses? Foolishness!"
"Golden men? What is he talking about!?"
"I'll believe it when I see it!"
The people in the store ran out along with the manager.
Minaki had to see for herself now.
"What in the world are they talking about?" Minaki said, looking around, "Screw this! I have to see what's going on!" Minaki said, running outside.
MINAKI USAKAMI THE MOTHER OF TORE
Minaki Usakami was a beautiful young woman. Minaki was known for her abundant and spiked, smooth, jet black hair and jet black eyes. Everyone in their clan had the same features, but hers were otherworldly. Minaki wore a black headband with the clan symbol of Usakami on it, the clan symbol was also tattooed on her shoulder. Minaki wore a one full sleeved white kimono underneath a black vest. Minaki wore black pants with white sandals that stretched up to her knees. Minaki also wore fingerless black gloves with silver back hand guards.
"I have to see what's going on!" Minaki said, running into the village square. Minaki stopped in her tracks when she saw the man in golden armor atop his golden armor covered Pegasus.
"Who-Who is that?" Minaki asked.
The man attempted to calm the curious and nervous crowd.
KING BURUSU THE FATHER OF TORE
"Please, please calm yourselves! I come in peace, we come in peace!" Burusu said in a commanding tone, "We just wish to find your king so that we may establish some sort of treaty with the ground people! We hail from Floratheo Isle, a sky fortress! For centuries my people have avoided contact with the ground people but no more! My scouts have taken note of how beautiful your island is and we would love to share the beauty of Floratheo Isle with you all!" Burusu explained.
Everyone remained silent. They didn't know what to make of this. Minaki made her way through the crowd, her eyes fixed on Burusu.
"I understand you're all slightly intimidated, but I swear to you, we mean no harm! We-" Burusu stopped talking when he noticed Minaki at the front of the crowd.
The two couldn't take their eyes off each other. The townspeople and Burusu's guards took notice.
"Sir, are you alright?" A guard asked.
"Minaki! What are you doing here!? The flower shop can't run itself!" The shop owner yelled.
Burusu and Minaki stared at each other for a moment longer, Burusu broke the silence.
"I-I erm... I seem to have gotten a little choked up! Did I mention how... How beautiful this island was?" Burusu said, staring at Minaki, who fixed her hair and blushed softly.
A man stepped up.
"If you want to talk treaties you need to talk to our Jito! Who will have to talk to the Shogun!" The man said.
Burusu smiled.
"I will talk to whoever I need to sir!" Burusu looked back at Minaki, "I have even more of a reason now to accomplish this goal."
Minaki smiled. Other girls in the village took notice of this and walked off.
"Is there anyone here who can take me to the Jito?" Burusu asked.
"I can!" Minaki yelled quickly, Burusu smiled.
"Why thank you?" Burusu said, implying he wanted her name.
"Usakami. Minaki Usakami!" Minaki said with a smile.
"Thank you very much Minaki! I am King Burusu, Head of the Floratheo Isle, these are my Goldenflalgs, my top security, we are in your hands from this point forward!" Burusu said with a smile.
The shop owner came and snatched Minaki away.
"You've got a job to do! You're not taking anyone anywhere until your shift is done!" The shop keeper yelled.
Burusu became agitated.
"We will show you to your quarters Mr. King! Come with us." A man said happily.
Burusu and Minaki looked at each other one last time before they went their separate ways for the day.
Burusu and his men were led to an inn.
"Please enjoy your stay at our inn. We will give you a room for free tonight only, assuming you don't have any gold pieces on you?" The man asked.
Burusu smiled and gave the man a solid black coin.
"What is this?" The man asked.
"Black gold! It is our form of currency on Floratheo Isle!" Burusu said with a smile.
"What the hell good would it do me down here!?" The man yelled, throwing down the coin, "Just enjoy your stay, sir! Breakfast will be served in the morning, assuming you eat what we eat?"
Burusu laughed.
"HA ha ha ha! We'll take the finest fruit you've got!" Burusu laughed.
The inn owner smiled, nodded and left the room.
Burusu's men laid down as Burusu walked to the window and watched Minaki snatch her hand away from the shop owner and slap him before walking into the flower shop. Burusu smiled big.
"What a woman! I do believe this treaty will be the best move ever made!" Burusu said happily.
Later that night, Minaki closed the shop door behind her. When she turned around she was punched in the face and sent through the paper wall of the door. Minaki weakly turned over and felt blood coming down her nose; when she looked up a group of girls stood over her. They all wore similar outfits as Minaki, but they all wore their hair straight down. They shared the jet black hair and pupils.
"You just think you're so great, but you're a freak!" One of the girls said.
"An alien are you serious!?" Another girl said.
One of the girls kicked her.
"All the men in this village want your hand in marriage and you want an alien freak!?" A third girl added.
The girls began punching and kicking Minaki while she was balled up.
"You don't even want that entire estate your parents left you when they died! What kind of weirdo are you?!" The first girl said.
Minaki spit up blood.
"S-Stop!" Minaki yelled.
The girls kept beating Minaki while she screamed.
"Everyone is sleep, nobody can hear you! What, you think that alien is going to come save you? Do you know what would happen if he does anything to us? He can kiss that treaty goodbye!" The second girl said.
Minaki continued to cry as she got beat, it looked like nobody was coming. All Minaki could think about was Burusu. Was this it? Why would she meet such a man just to get beat to death in a flower shop. Minaki tried to lift her head but was kicked in the face. Blood splattered on the wall behind Minaki as she fell back and sat against the wall.
"I got her good!" The second girl said, walking up to push her foot straight into Minaki's face.
WHAM!
The second girl's smile turned to frustration with a small bit of fear. Minaki caught her foot.
"L-Let me go you freak!" The second girl yelled as Minaki lifted her head. The three girls were filled with fear when Minaki was shown to have activated her sharingan. Tears ran down Minaki's face as she held the girl's foot in front of her. Minaki breathed in and out heavily as she slowly stood up. The second girl bounced up and down, trying to keep her balance.
"Th-Th-Th-Those are the eyes of the demon! You know what happens to people who have those!" The second girl yelled.
"You're dead, Minaki! You're dead! We're going to go tell everyone right now!" The first girl yelled as she ran for the door.
Minaki snapped the second girl's leg and threw her to the ground and began chasing the first girl.
"SHE SNAPPED MY LEG! KILL THAT CRAZY BITCH! KILL HER!" The second girl yelled.
The third girl threw a kunai at Minaki, but thanks to the sharingan, Munaki caught it and threw it back at the girl, hitting her in the throat. Blood shot from the girls neck as she fell back against the wall and squirmed until she didn't move anymore, blood running from her mouth. The first girl turned and saw the grizzly scene and was frozen with shock. Minaki continued running towards her.
"St-St-STOP! GET AWAY FROM ME!" The girl yelled as Minaki attacked her. Behind another door to the flower shop, blood sprayed against the door. Minaki emerged from the flower shop to see the shop owner. Minaki's sharingan was still active. The shop owner walked backwards until he fell on his butt.
"Mi-Minaki!? Are those the eyes of the demon!? You awoken them!" The shop keeper yelled.
Minaki tried to calm him down, with tears in her eyes.
"No! It's not what it looks like! It was self defense they wanted to kill me!" Minaki pleaded.
"Lies!" The second girl yelled, gaining the shop keepers attention, "She awoke those eyes and brutally attacked us! She killed two of my friends!" The girl yelled with tears in her eyes.
The shop keep was frozen with fear.
"You-You-You killed these girls!?" The shop keep said.
"It was self defense! I swear to you!" Minaki cried.
The flower shop owner ran into the village yelling.
"MINAKI AWOKE THE DEMON EYES! MINAKI AWOKE THE DEMON EYES! SHE'S ALREADY KILLED!" The shop keep yelled.
Minaki hurried and ran to her villa while other people began emerging from their villas.
"Minaki awoke the demon eyes?"
"She killed already? No way!"
"The beautiful Minaki!? Impossible!"
The villagers were confused and some didn't believe it until they saw it for themselves.
The villagers made it to the flower shop and saw the two dead girls along with the second girl.
"Minaki killed them! She killed them in cold blood!" The second girl yelled.
"Minaki! What has she done!?"
"It was those eyes! They strike again!"
"Minaki has to die!"
"Where is she!? We'll burn her house down!"
The villagers stormed to Minaki's house with torches.
"MINAKI! Come out here and face the consequences!" A villager yelled.
"Somebody go see if she is in there!" A man yelled.
"And get killed!? No way!" Another yelled.
"Just burn it down!" The villagers threw their torches at Minaki's home and it caught on fire.
"THERE SHE IS!" A man yelled.
Minaki looked back and ran as fast as she could trying to leave the village to get to the lake not too far from there. There was a boat Minaki always took to spend time alone. Minaki finally got to the water but was filled with despair to see her boat being burned.
"You won't escape that easily! Demon!" The man yelled as he approached her.
Minaki looked back to see the villagers coming down the hill.
"There she is! She tried to take her boat! I knew she would!" A man yelled.
Minaki looked back and forth between the two.
"L-LEAVE ME ALONE!" Minaki yelled at the top of her lungs, holding up her hands to cover her head.
A man walked up and grabbed her hair.
"LET GO OF MY HAIR!" Minaki screamed and fought.
"Why would I do what you say, demon!? You'll kill me if I let you go!" The man said, swinging a wooden stick at Minaki.
Minaki shot her head up and locked eyes with the man. The man stopped in his tracks and stared as if he had witnessed a thousand wars. The villagers took notice.
"The demon eyes strike again!"
"Is he dead!? Did she kill him!?"
The man suddenly began to throw up blood.
"Oh my god! What did she do to him!?" A man yelled.
Another man ran up and choked Minaki.
"YOU DEVIL! STOP THIS RIGHT NOW OR I'LL BREAK YOUR NECK!" The man yelled.
"Fool! That's not Minaki!" Another man yelled.
The man looked back to see he was choking a random woman until blood came out of her mouth. The man dropped her.
"AHHHH! What the hell!?" The man looked back.
The man who had thrown up blood was on the ground unconscious, but there wasn't any blood around him.
"Where did the blood go!? He threw up blood I saw it!" A man said.
"Are you mad!? He never threw up any blood he fell out after he locked eyes with the demon!" A woman yelled, this was the woman who was supposed to have been being choked moments ago!
"What the hell!? How are you okay? That man was wringing your neck just a moment ago!" Another man screamed, confused.
"We're all seeing different things! It's the eyes! They've fooled us!" A man yelled, looking around, "There! Minaki is there!"
Minaki ran through the village again, trying to find the room Burusu was in.
"Where is he? Please, help me!" Minaki cried to herself.
Minaki made it to the inn and tried to open the door but the doors were locked. The inn doors were big wooden doors, not like the sliding doors of the villas. Minaki backed up and saw the inn owner in the window.
"Mr. Usamaki! Please let me in! Please!" Minaki cried.
The inn owner looked down on Minaki's sharingan and coldly turned away from the window.
"Oh my god..." Minaki cried as she turned to see the villagers coming.
"You won't get away from us this time! Minaki!" A man yelled.
Minaki backed against the wooden doors and pulled out a kunai, tears in her eyes.
"I-I'm not letting them kill me!" Minaki cried, raising the kunai.
"She's about to kill herself!"
"Good! Let the demon take itself out!"
Minaki screamed as she swung the kunai for her body.
SNATCH!
Burusu caught Minaki's arms right before the kunai hit her body. Minaki shook with shock. Burusu looked at Minaki and up at the villagers.
"What is going on here?" Burusu asked.
"Minaki has awoken the demon eyes! She must be killed! She's already killed two and injured another!" A man yelled.
"She made us see things! We almost hurt each other!" Another man yelled.
Burusu looked down at Minaki who held up the kunai at the crowd, traumatized and afraid they would attack her again. Burusu slowly walked in front of Minaki, his men at his sides.
"A beautiful young woman like that? I don't think so. There must be some sort of misunderstanding!" Burusu bargained.
"There is no misunderstanding! Anything associated with those demonic eyes ends up mangled or dead! Which is exactly what happened tonight! You are an alien what do you know about what goes on here?!" A woman yelled.
Burusu's eyes were hidden behind shadow.
"If you are speaking for her then you can damn your treaty to hell!" A man yelled.
Burusu was silent.
"Give her to us and let us end her life! Tomorrow we will grant you that meeting with our Jito!" A villager added.
Burusu turned to Minaki, who pointed her kunai at him with fear.
"Don't give me to them! Please!" Minaki cried.
Burusu slowly moved the kunai from out of his face and took it out of her hands. Burusu gently wiped the blood off her face.
"I can't believe what they did to your face..." Burusu said, staring at her sharingan, "They want to kill you over these eyes? Eyes like these don't belong on devils... they belong to the gods." Burusu said softly, "You're coming with me."
Minaki's tears flowed even harder out of her shocked face as she shook rapidly. Burusu turned towards the crowd. The Goldenflag began getting on their horses, one of them setting Minaki on top of one.
"So you've decided to take up for the demon!" A man yelled.
"Then you can die with her!" Another man yelled as the mob ran towards Burusu.
Burusu clenched his fist and cocked back, gritting his teeth with intense anger, thinking of Minaki's beat up face, and the trauma they put her through tonight.
KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Burusu's punch blasted the villagers away and blew away half the village!
"Goldenflag! On your horses! We're going back to Floratheo Isle!" Burusu commanded.
The Goldenflag took to their Pegasus's and flew into the sky, Burusu behind them, looking back at the destruction.
After flying for a while, the team made it back to Floratheo Isle and landed atop the tallest fortress.
"I will take her to my quarters to rest up. Thank you, Goldenflag, your work will be well rewarded.
The Goldenflag saluted Burusu and went their separate ways.
A few hours later.
Minaki woke up in a dim lit room. There was armor on the walls as well as banners with "L" on them. There was flora growing in the room with fruit on them and a giant red rug in the middle of the room. The bed she laid on was giant with a cloud mattress and smooth cover.
"Wh-Where in the world am I?" Minaki asked softly.
Suddenly a door opened and in walked Burusu.
"Ms. Minaki, you're awake. You're probably wondering where you are, you are on Floratheo Isle, the island I spoke about at your home village. Speaking about that... I'm sorry I had to, you know."
Minaki smirked.
"It's fine. They all wanted me dead anyway." Minaki said.
Burusu sat down next to Minaki.
"They really wanted you dead, over a pair of eyes?" Burusu asked.
Minaki looked away.
"These eyes are connected to misfortune... there's a story that the first murder ever committed was by a man with these eyes. No other clan on any of the three islands can awaken these eyes but us... so we're outcasted mainly." Minaki explained, "Anyone who awakens these eyes has to be killed so they don't harm anyone else..."
Burusu thought for a moment.
"I think that's foolish to kill your own people over such a thing. If anything, it should be studied! Like, why are the eyes only awakening when something bad happens?" Burusu said.
"I don't know... I've wondered about it myself too honestly, but I was always scared of what I might find." Minaki admitted.
Burusu looked down, then back up at Minaki.
"Well, I don't think you can go home any time soon... nor can I show my face there! We can study it together!" Burusu smiled.
"Yeah that's definitely not happening. So, sure." Minaki smiled back.
Burusu grabbed Minaki's hand and Minaki blushed, staring back at Burusu with her jet black eyes.
"Would you stay here with me? And be my queen?" Burusu asked.
Minaki blushed and covered her mouth.
"Burusu... you're asking for a lot... we hardly know each other.
"Then we'll get to know each other! I can take you to other sky islands, show you amazing things! This place is fair and just, it will be like a paradise! No judgement here! And if you can find any evidence of there being any type of crime here within the last 100 years I'll step down as king right now!" Burusu said confidently, "Plus... you felt it too, didn't you! Those feelings when we first locked eyes!"
Minaki's eyes widened and she thought for a moment. It wasn't like she could go home, and even if she did, she'd be hunted wherever she went on the island. And Burusu was right, it was love at first sight.
"I-I'll do it..." Minaki said with a smile.
Burusu smiled big and hugged Minaki.
"We will have an amazing life together. I swear it!" Burusu said.
One year later.
A baby cried inside the nursery on Floratheo Isle. Burusu walked nervously back and forth.
"For a king you sure look very vulnerable right now!" A nurse joked.
"I am vulnerable! What if something goes wrong!? A Human and a Lecnian!? What if my boy is born with four arms!?" Burusu stressed.
The nurse laughed.
"He won't be born with four arms my lord. He'll be fine." The nurse said.
Burusu calmed a little but tensed back up when the doctor called him in.
"King Burusu! You can come in." The doctor yelled.
Burusu walked into the room and nodded at the doctor who nodded back. Burusu looked at his queen and smiled with tears in his eyes as she held their baby boy. The boy had one strand of black hair and big jet black eyes.
"He looks just like you..." Minaki said.
"I think he favors you more, Queen Minaki." Burusu said with a smile.
"Have you thought of a name?" Minaki asked.
Burusu stood up proud.
"Indeed I have! His name will be Ghed' ek Hef' an! Named after my great grandfather."
"WE'RE NOT NAMING HIM THAT!" Minaki yelled.
Burusu was terrified.
"She's instilled fear in the king!" A doctor said.
Minaki looked back at the baby boy, who looked up at her with a smile.
"How about... Torebion... Torebion Teira." Minaki said, snuggling Tore.
Burusu walked up next to Minaki.
"I think that's a beautiful name." Burusu said with a big smile.
