Chapter 67: Foals!

(A/N: gonna reiterate, b/c i'm sure I said this before, gonna go with human gestation b/c too lazy to change what I know. Oh, and somehow I forgot Rarity and Fluttershy were together in Canterlot Castle... so Sweetie Belle couldn't stay with Rarity... ugh, my memory is getting worse as I get older... I hate it... sorry...)

9 months later, Lucky is visiting Applejack, who was the first of the three to have her foal.

"Soooo, what's my little bro look like?!" Applejack chuckled.

"Well, he has mah coat color, mah freckles, 'n Rainbow's mane 'n eye color. He's also a Pegasus."

"Whoooaaa."

"Ya know what a good name fer him would be? We already named him, so go ahead 'n guess." Lucky grinned.

"Zap Apple?"

"You're too good, Lucky," Rainbow said. Lucky chuckled.

"I mean, come on. Rainbow mane, zap apples are rainbow colored apples, this new colt is a new Apple family member? Of course I'm gonna get it." The two chuckled.

"Shoulda known," Applejack quipped. Lucky playfully stuck her tongue out.

"I'm gonna go see Aunt Twilight. I wanna see if she came here, yet." Applejack nodded. "Pyro, you stay here with your grandmas, ok?"

"Yes, Mama." Pyro's speech had also continued to improve these past months. Lucky teleported to the library.

"Hi, Aunt Pinkie. Any sign of Aunt Twilight's foal, yet?"

"No, not yet."

"Ok. Where is she?"

"She's out walking with Spike. She'll be back later." Lucky nodded.

"Ok, thank you."

"Has Applejack had hers?" Lucky smiled and told Pinkie. "Aww, I can't wait to meet him!"

"Me, neither. I'm gonna go back to Ma, though." Pinkie nodded and Lucky teleported back to Applejack's room. "She hasn't, yet. I'm gonna go to Canterlot. I wonder if Aunt Rarity has gone to the hospital, yet?"

"Ok. Tell them we said 'hi'."

"Will do, Ma." Lucky teleported to Canterlot Castle and walked to Rarity's and Fluttershy's room. She knocked on the door.

"Come in," Rarity called. Lucky went in.

"Ma, Mom, and Pyro say 'hi'. You haven't had your foal, yet?"

"Not yet. No sign of it, either. But I know it's gonna be here, soon. I can tell." Lucky sat on the other side of the bed as Fluttershy is on the one side.

"How are Applejack and Twilight doing?" Fluttershy inquired.

"Ma's had her colt. His name is Zap Apple."

"Ooh, how adorable! What does he look like?" Rarity asked.

"Rainbow mane, Ma's coat color, Ma's freckles, and Mom's eye color. Also a Pegasus."

"Oh, wow. I'm excited to meet him," Fluttershy said.

"I am, too. I can't wait to hold him and dote on him as his big sister." Rarity and Fluttershy smiled gently.

"Rarity!" Sweetie Belle called.

"Come in, Sweetie!" Sweetie Belle opened the door, came in, and shut it. She came over to me and reached her head up. I lowered my head so she could kiss my cheek.

"You haven't had your foal, yet?"

"Not yet. You're just in time."

"Lucky, has Applejack had hers?" Lucky nodded and told Sweetie about her little brother. "Aww, I can't wait to meet him!" Lucky grinned.

"Hey, he'll be your little brother, too, when we finally get married. Though an in-law." Sweetie smiled gently.

"Yeah, but by then he'll be older."

"He'll still be small, though. If we marry when I'm 25, he'll be 7. He could be our ring bearer."

"True." Lucky kissed Sweetie's cheek.

"And depending if Aunt Rar... uh, well... when you and I marry, Aunt Rarity will actually be my sister-in-law, too. Wow... when I was 5, I never imagined Aunt Rarity wouldn't be my Aunt, but sister-in-law when I got older..." The 3 giggled. "Same goes for Aunt Fluttersy, too, right?"

"I suppose. She is Sweetie Belle's sister-in-law, so I think she becomes yours, too. Though our foal will definitely be your niece or nephew." Lucky nodded. Rarity sat up so she could walk around and the ponies got off her bed. She got up and began to walk to the door. As she walked, her water broke. She blushed heavily.

"Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear," Fluttershy panicked. Lucky looked around for a 'preparing for foal' saddlebag. She found it on Rarity's vanity. She took it in her magic and placed it on Fluttershy.

"Aunt Fluttershy, go. Get Aunt Rarity to the hospital." Fluttershy nodded and the two left. Lucky teleported herself and Sweetie out of the room. "I know where cleaning supplies are. I'll tend to Rarity's room. You staying with me, or going with them?"

"I'll stay with you for a while. I'm not sure how long it'll take for the foal to get here."

"Me neither. I don't know if it's different pony to pony or..."

"How long did it take Applejack?"

"Like, 5 hours after her water broke."

"Two of the most athletic ponies? I'm not surprised," Sweetie joked. Lucky laughed as Sweetie giggled. Lucky and Sweetie walked to the janitor's closet. On the way there, "Lucky?"

"Mm-hm?"

"Um... I'm only asking because it's happening for the others now, but... think we would be able to have our own foal further into the future, or do I have to be an Element, too?"

"That's actually a good question. I could read my fire and find out."

"Ok, let's do that when we're done in Rarity's room." Lucky nodded. Once they reached the closet, they saw Celestia coming their way.

"Celestia, Aunt Rarity is gonna have her foal! I'm just getting cleaning supplies to clean up where her water broke."

"Oh my. Well, congrats to her and Fluttershy. Has your ma had hers?"

"Yup, my little brother's name is Zap Apple." Lucky described him to Celestia.

"A Pegasus Apple family member. That'll be interesting." Lucky nodded and finished gathering the supplies and preparing them. "I also admire your dedication to your family members. Cleaning something like that up yourself instead of calling for a janitor? I'm impressed." Lucky blushed lightly.

"Well, it's my Aunt Rarity. Of course I'm gonna care for her. Even if it were a stranger and I was there when that happened, I'd do the same after reassuring them if they get super embarrassed."

"That response makes me so proud of the pony you've become, Lucky." Lucky smiled a small smile.

"Thanks, Celestia. I'm sure you'll get a scroll from Spike when Aunt Twilight has hers." Celestia giggled.

"Oh, I'm sure. Well, thank you, Lucky, for caring for Rarity and Fluttershy in this manner. I'll see you at the next Princess summit." Lucky nodded. Celestia got going and Lucky and Sweetie made their way to Rarity's and Fluttershy's room. When they got back, Lucky got to cleaning. After Lucky was done, she brought the supplies back and dumped the water into the drain. She cleaned and disinfected all of what she used and after she was done, she turned to Sweetie Belle.

"There. Now I can fire read to find our answer. Let's go to the castle library. There's a fireplace there. I don't really need my fire pit now. I can do it anywhere." Sweetie followed Lucky to the castle library. Once they got there, Lucky sat down with Sweetie sitting next to her. Lucky used her fire magic to light the fireplace with her white fire.

Lucky gazed into the fire, asking in her head if her and Sweetie Belle could have a foal way into the future. The fire showed some images. Sweetie Belle and Lucky were in a room! Lucky heard Fire Sweetie say she's glad they could also have a foal, despite her not being an Element. She heard her Fire Self agree. Lucky extinguished the fire.

"We can!" Sweetie Belle squeed in delight and hugged Lucky tightly. Lucky held Sweetie close.

"I'm so glad you are who you are. I really didn't want to wait for the answer." Lucky chuckled.

"I didn't really wanna wait, either. Now, what will you do while you wait for Aunt Rarity to have her foal?"

"I could probably window shop, walk around Canterlot."

"But what if it takes absolutely hours? You can't do that for that long. How about you hang out with me? You'll be able to see Ma's and Mom's colt. He should be able to be visited by now."

"Yes! I'd love to see little Zap Apple." Lucky smiled and teleported with Sweetie Belle to Applejack's room.

"Howdy, Sweetie Belle."

"Ma, Rarity just got to the hospital. She'll be next to have her foal."

"Golly, Ah'm excited ta see what her 'n Fluttershy's foal will look like." Lucky nodded in agreement.

"Oh, Mom, who will teach Zap to fly, you or me?" Lucky grinned. Rainbow smirked.

"Obviously it'll be me. I'm the one who taught you to fly. You learned everything you know from me."

"Yeah, exactly. I could also teach him."

"Oh, stop, you two. Ya could both take turns, y'know." Rainbow and Lucky chuckled.

"Oh, Ma, can we see Zap, yet?" Applejack nodded. Rainbow led Lucky, Sweetie, and Pyro out and to the nursery. Lucky picked Pyro up and placed her on her head so she could see better. Lucky looked for the rainbow mane and immediately found Zap. She pointed him out to the others.

"Awww, he's soooo cute," Sweetie gushed.

"Pyro, be quiet, remember." Pyro nodded and expressed her adoration, too. Lucky now felt Twilight's and Pinkie's presences. "Oh, Aunt Twilight is gonna have her foal, too. Her and Aunt Pinkie are here, now."

"Aw, yeah," Rainbow celebrated quietly.

~9 hours later~

"How about we see if Rarity had her foal, yet, Lucky? It's been so loooong..." Lucky chuckled.

"Sure, let's go." It is currently 10:24 at night, but Sweetie Belle couldn't sleep in anticipation for her sister. Lucky stayed up with her. Pyro was in the bedroom, sleeping. Rainbow was in her and Applejack's room, reading. They could go whenever they wanted, Rainbow knew they'd go whenever. She agreed to be there for Pyro if they had to leave in the middle of the night. Lucky teleported herself and Sweetie, once they told Rainbow and got outside, to Canterlot Hospital. They went to the maternity ward and to the receptionist there.

"Rarity and Fluttershy?" Sweetie inquired. The receptionist pony looked up the names.

"They've had their foal. They're in room 207."

"Thank you," the mares chimed together. They made their way down the hall and got to 207. Lucky knocked.

"Come in." Lucky and Sweetie went in. "Hello, girls. Well, Fluttershy and I had a Unicorn filly. My mane and eye color and Fluttershy's coat color. We've named her Amethyst Heart."

"Such a pretty name!" Sweetie exclaimed. Lucky agreed.

"Thank you. You can see her tomorrow. Thank you for checking in on us, but go to bed, both of you," Fluttershy gently directed. Lucky and Sweetie nodded. Lucky teleported both her and Sweetie back to outside the apartment building and went back to the apartment. Lucky unlocked the lock with her magic and let Sweetie go in first. Lucky got the couch bed ready for her and Sweetie Belle. In the morning, Lucky went back to the hospital in Ponyville to see if Twilight had her foal, yet.

"Room 213." Lucky thanked the receptionist and went off to Twilight's room.

"Aunt Twilight?" Twilight's mom, dad, brother, Cadance, Aphrodite, and Skyla were all in the room. "Wow, packed, eh?" They all giggled/chuckled. "So?"

"I've had a filly. My coat color, Earth pony, Pinkie's crazy mane style and mane color, and my eye color."

"We've named our little one Sugar Plum!" Pinkie informed.

"Aww, cute!" Lucky adored.

(A/N: If Zap's pronouns don't match up sometimes, Zap was originally a she, but then I got thinking more and more, and with the name Zap Apple, it made more sense to be a colt's name than a filly's name. So that would be why. I'm gonna be trying my best to catch them all, but I may miss a couple here and there. Sorry, just know that Zap Apple is indeed a colt)
