Hey guys! I know I said I was going to do Speed Metal next, but I decided to do this instead. I found it hard trying to figure out what to do for Speed Metal since in this story, Sierra knows about the autobots. I might still write it, or, depending on this chapter, I might skip it. I'm just not sure yet.
Anyway, this chapter focuses on Stormracer and Knock Out. I hope you like it.
Transformers Prime: The Medic's Assistant
Chapter 15: Out for a Drive
Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers Prime
(Autobot Base - 9:54 pm)
Soon after Stormracer finished her work, she let out a sigh of boredom. Sierra had made plans to hang out with her friend Emily, leaving the autobot with nothing to do. The assistant looked over at the other humans, seeing them playing a racing game on the tv. Watching the virtual cars on the screen, she immediately felt like driving. Though she was getting tired of driving around in the same area.
Thinking for a moment, she walked over to Ratchet who was at the computer. "All finished," she told him, "you don't mind if I bridge myself so I can go driving, do you?"
He gave her a look. "Why not just drive around Jasper?"
"I'm getting tired of the same scenery," she told him, "I need something new. It won't be for long." He was about to say something until she added, "and if I run into any trouble, I will contact base."
He slightly frowned at her, but vented. "Very well," he said, "have fun."
She smiled. "Thanks, Ratchet." Immediately she went over to the ground bridge and decided on a location. Once the coordinates were set, she activated the groundbridge and drove through the portal. The autobot was soon on a road as the portal closed behind her. She looked at the trees and mountains around her, finding the view very beautiful. Looking up, she marveled at the many stars in the cloudless sky. Immediately she knew she picked a good spot to go driving.
Accelerating, she drove off. The air was nice and cool and everything looked so peaceful. She felt like she could remain there for hours and hours. Seeing a large puddle covering most of the road up ahead, she went faster and zoomed right through it, causing water to spray everywhere. She didn't care if she was acting like a sparkling. She was having too much fun as she spun around in a circle, getting herself completely soaked. Letting out a laugh, she finally drove out of the puddle and continued on down the road.
As the wind dried her off, she listened to her surroundings. All was quiet. At least it was until she heard the sound of engines revving a little ways away. Seeing a set of lights off to the side, she curiously drove off road and towards the edge of a slope. Soon as she looked down, she saw a group of cars ready to race. She was surprised that there was a street race happening in the area, but then again, it was a good place to stay away from unwanted attention. Because of the few lights surrounding them, she was able to get a good look at some of the cars, seeing each one had a unique style.
As she watched the racers getting ready, she noticed one car showing up last minute. A red Aston Martin.
"Huh," she said, getting a good look, "nice paint job."
As she looked at it, she kept wondering why it looked so familiar. It wasn't long until dread came upon her as soon as she remembered.
"No, it couldn't be him," she said to herself. Wanting to be sure, she checked her scanners. Sure enough, a decepticon signature popped up right in front of her, confirming her suspicion. Immediately she got a sick feeling in her tank.
She kept her sight on Knock Out, wondering why he's taking part in a street race. Watching the scene down below, she saw a human driver in the black car beside him reaching his fist out and purposely scraping his ring against the con's paint job.
Stormracer's energon ran cold. "No, no, no, no," she said worryingly, scared he would go after the human for that.
Soon as the race started, she followed them off from the side, keeping up with the black car as it got way ahead of the others. Making her way down, she saw Knock Out rapidly approaching the car and rammed into it from behind.
"Scrap!" she said as she got onto the road and sped off after them.
Knock Out was about to ram the human over a cliff until something rammed into him from behind.
"What the-" he went to say as he looked to see a teal car right behind him. Recognizing the paint job, he mentally smirked.
"Well, well," he said, "if it isn't the medical assistant. Shouldn't you be cleaning oil pans or something?"
"Leave the human alone, Knock Out!" she said sternly.
"Oh, I'll leave him alone," the medic said with a hint of venom in his voice, "after I turn him into road kill."
He sped off and went after the human again.
Stormracer angrily chased after the con, refusing to let him have his way. Immediately she activated her grappling claw and fired, making it latch onto the back of the red car.
"Ow!" the decepticon doctor exclaimed as the teal car reversed, trying to make him slow down. Growling in annoyance, Knock Out went in reverse and headed straight for the autobot, making her swerve out of the way. Spinning himself around, he managed to detach the claw off of him as it left deep scratch marks in his armor.
Reeling in her claw, Stormracer sped off with the con right behind her. It wasn't long until he came up from the side and rammed right into her. The autobot shrieked as she swerved and spun around behind him. Knock Out chuckled. But just when he thought he got her, she sped right past him... going backwards. This caught the con off guard as he saw her do this.
With all her might, Stormracer swung around and hit him from the side, causing him to nearly swerve off the road. Taking the chance, she sped off, leaving an angry Knock Out behind her.
Soon as he skidded to a halt, Knock Out noticed a fresh scratch mark on his front side. Letting out a loud angry growl, he put pedal to the medal and gunned it down the road, immediately catching up to the femme.
Stormracer tried her best to avoid him. Realizing she should have called for back up a long time ago, the femme was about to contact the base until Knock Out came up to her from the side. Sensing he was going to try and ram into her again, she hit the brakes before he could even hit her. This caused him to swerve past her and towards the high cliff edge.
Knock Out fearfully yelped as he immediately hit his brakes. Breaking through the guardrail, he managed to stop himself in time, but found the front part of him hovering over the edge while his back was latched onto the broken rail.
Stormracer was about to take off again until she noticed the rocky ground underneath him was starting to give. Fearfully Knock Out tried to back up, but his tires only spun in place. He was stuck.
"Nononono!" he fearfully exclaimed as he felt the ground underneath him disappearing. He let out a yell as he felt himself starting to go forward. But just when he thought we was going to fall and crash into pieces, he felt something latch onto him from behind, keeping him from falling. Looking behind, he saw the teal car using her grappling claw to pull him back and away from the edge.
Tires squealing, Stormracer's engine revved as she reeled Knock Out back to safety. Soon as he was safe, the claw detached as she reeled it back in. Soon as that was done, she took off like a shot, not wanting to be around in case he decided to attack her.
Knock Out immediately transformed as he bent down and vented heavily, relieved he was still online. Looking up, he saw the autobot drive off down the road and out of sight. A part of him wanted to keep chasing her. Looking at the drop off then back at the direction the femme fled, he decided to let her go. At least for now.
Hearing the sound of the other racers approaching, the con let out a frustrated vent before he transformed and drove off, deciding to forget the race and just head back to the warship.
Soon as Stormracer was far away, she transformed and watched as the con drove away from the race. She let out a vent of relief, though groaned at the thought of what Ratchet was going to say about her not contacting for help.
Deciding it was time to return to base, she called for a bridge.
(Decepticon Warship)
Soon as he returned, Knock Out didn't say a word as he made his way to the lab. Once the door was sealed shut, he let out a vent as he held his helm. He was still in shock over what had happened. A part of him was grateful that the autobot helped him. The other part wanted to blame her for making him nearly fall off the cliff to begin with.
He looked down at his new scratches and scowled, seeing that they were just as bad as the one the human gave him.
Fuming, he walked into another room. "If she thinks she can get a free pass for saving my skid plate, she has another thing coming," he grumbled.
"Uh, you okay, Knock Out?"
Looking up, Knock Out noticed Breakdown standing there with a look of concern on his face. He almost forgotten that he had put his partner in charge of buffing their most important patient laying comatose on the berth.
"Do I look okay to you?!" the medic asked angrily as he walked over to the bigger con, showing him his scratches, "just look what that autobot femme did to me!"
"Autobot femme?" Breakdown asked, "is this the same one you grumbled about from our last fight?"
"Grumbled?" the medic said with a frown, "she threatened me with my own prod, I got a processor ache thanks to her EMP, she stomped on my pede, and then put a dent in my face!"
"... So it was her?"
Knock Out growled. "I was about to race when a human scratched my paint job. I wanted to get even, so I pursued him. But just when I was about to settle the score, she just came out of nowhere and rammed right into me! Not only that, I almost drove off a cliff because of her! I thought I was about to join the AllSpark! I'm lucky I made it out of there online!"
"But you're okay, right?"
The medic vented. "I'm fine. She... she pulled me out of there before I could fall." His frown returned. "But it was still her fault! And look what her grappling claw did to me!" he said as he pointed at the deep scratches, "I won't be able to simply buff that out!"
Breakdown gave him a questionable look. "So you're mad at her for saving your life?"
"Yes! I mean no! I mean..." Letting out a frustrated growl, he snatched the buffer from Breakdown's servo. "Give me that!"
Immediately he began buffing out the scratch on his car door. While he did this, he noticed Breakdown chuckling at him. Stopping the buffer, he gave his friend a look.
"And what pray tell is so funny?" he asked him.
Breakdown smirked. "Just the way you're complaining about her reminds me of when you first met your ex femmefriend."
The scowl immediately returned on Knock Out's face. "Are you implying that I am interested in an autobot?"
"Aw come on," the blue con said, folding his arms, "you gotta admit she's kinda cute. And there ain't a lot of femmes around anymore."
"Then why don't you court her," Knock Out told him, "I'm sure Starscream would love the idea of one of his subordinates being interested in the enemy."
Breakdown then remembered something. "Speaking of Starscream, he was looking for you not too long ago," he said.
Knock Out let out a frustrated vent. "Of course," he grumbled. Handing the buffer back, he turned to leave, only to turn back around to give his friend a warning glare. "Not a word about our conversation to anyone."
"I won't say anything," his friend assured him before smirking, "especially the part about you being rescued by an autobot femme." He couldn't help but let out a laugh.
His frown deepening, Knock Out growled as he headed for the door and walked out to find the seeker. As he walked down the corridor, he huffed at the thought of him being interested in the teal femme.
Me dating an autobot? Oh please.
And that was chapter 15! Lol! Poor Knock Out. I like that him and Stormracer have opposite personalities. Kinda makes things a bit interesting.
So, yeah. Give me your thoughts on if I should still do Speed Metal or not.
Thanks for reading. Until next time! God bless!
