But when Caerleon's champion is revealed to be a powerful sorceress, Merlin must once again take on the guise of Emrys to fight for Camelot.

Merlin and Morgana are in love. Arthur is supportive. But the relationship is thrown in craziness as the death of the king, Arthur's marriage and crowning, as well as unplanned pregnancies, Miscarriages and fears. (Takes place after season 1 ignoring all the rest of the seasons.)

Merlin didn't make it out of his encounter with the Lamia unscathed, or so Arthur thinks when he slays the beast and finds Merlin slumped against a wall and bleeding. When he learns the true source of the injuries he is furious. Cue hurt Merlin and a caring, very worried Arthur. End of the Lamia episode but established Merthur, and the knights actually injured Merlin.

Morgana has been in a pit, alone for months. No one but a dragon to keep her company. Until one day a man is brought in, captured in the heat of battle. She does not care one bit who he is, just that she is no longer alone.

What if after handling the Crystal of Neahtid in the the Witch's Quickening, Merlin wasn't just given a vision of the Great Dragon destroying Camelot.
