We're back on chapter two of this remarkable universe.

REMINDER: I DO NOT OWN LEGEND OF KORRA OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS.

Six months ago, Avatar Korra defeated Amon and the Equalists. Since then, the council was disbanded, and the United Republic elected its first President. Tenzin's brother, Commander Bumi, retired and moved to Air Temple Island. And Korra and her boyfriend Mako had been the talk of the town. Asami starts to rebuild Future Industries since her father went to prison for assisting Amon. Peace has come to Republic City.

At the tower on Air Temple Island, as a sky bison flies, groaning. The beast turns and it flies, four tiny figures racing down a flight of stairs in the distance. The figures go out of air, to reappear again.

All on air scooters, Ikki was the first to come into view, with Korra trailing close behind her, followed by Jinora and Meelo. They take a turn, heading toward the buildings. At an open corridor, where Pema was walking, holding Rohan and some groceries.

The four youngsters zoom past her, nearly knocking her over. Startled, she throws the vegetables in the air, as she spins in between the racers. When they were gone, she manages to catch the food again, and stares after the foursome in surprise.

As the swiftly turn around the airbending training gates; some of the panels start spinning as they pass by. The foursome jumps off the platform. Korra and Ikki, the latter still in the lead, confidently smiling in challenge toward the Avatar. Korra starts to focus.

Her eyes begin to glow when she enters the Avatar State; as Korra uses the extra power to pull ahead of a surprised Ikki. Korra speeds underneath a paifang gate, and was flagged the winner. Korra on ground level as she comes to a stop and leaps off her air scooter, remaining on her haunches.

Bumi, who was coughing due to the thrown-up dust, as an angry-looking Ikki zooms past, followed by her sister and brother.

"The Avatar is the winner!" Bumi said enthusiastically, as Meelo finishes.

Korra erects herself, her eyes ceasing to glow as she exits the Avatar State; she turns to her right, her hands propped on her hips, and smugly towers over a raging Ikki.

"Does it feel good to be the Avatar?"

"Let me tell you that I've come to the right place"

"I feel so strong as a star"

Jinorra, Ikki and Meelo looked at Korra with frown that she won, rather cheated with the Avatar State.

"You should see the strange expression on your face"

"If the way I come on is brightening"

Bumi grabbed her hand and raised it to declare her as the winner.

"That's the way I felt like coming on today"

"Have you ever seen me flexing?"

Korra flexed her muscles before she walked groovy as she airbends the thin air.

"Let me tell that would make it okay"

"I've mastered, and the elements take me higher"

"To a level where the clouds turn into fire

"In the warmness of that fire"

"I feel fine"

"That's true." Bumi said amassed.

"How?" Meelo asked.

"Just keep your eyes open and the cosmic event you will see"

"It will whistle on the wind"

"As it emanates from me"

"It's a strong and true vibration"

"You can feel it on your skin"

"Now come and take my hand"

"And we will dance"

"Upon the wind"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah."

Korra used waterbending to raised the waters in the lake.

"No evil shall triumph over goodness"

"Because I've been stronger as far"

"So feel my greatness"

"And you'll so see how wise the past Avatars are"

Korra entered the Avatar State. She raises herself into the air with airbending and sends a blast of air, fire, and earth. She bends the wind. Korra exits the Avatar State and looks back to see Aang's son and grandchildren.

"No evil shall triumph over goodness"

"Because I've been stronger as far"

"So feel my greatness"

"And you'll so see how wise the past Avatars are"

"That's how it feels good to be"

"The Avataaaaaaarr!"

Bumi, Jinora and Meelo cheered at Korra's improvement, except Ikki who was irritated.

"So, how did I go?" Korra asked.

"Very skilled." Bumi said.

"No fair! You can't go into the Avatar State to win!" Ikki shouts in an annoyed tone. Korra sticks her tongue out at Ikki, blowing a raspberry.

Tenzin approaches.

"You did what!? The Avatar State is not to be used as a booster rocket! You are toying with a dangerous power that you obviously do not appreciate!" Tenzin said in a furious tone.

"It's the Avatar State and I'm the Avatar. Who appreciates it more than me?" Korra complained.

"Clearly you need more training to grasp the depths of your spiritual connections, not to mention that you're still a long way from mastering airbending." Tenzin said.

"I have mastered airbending!" Korra said before she emphasizes her statement by directing several air blasts at the nearby trees, sending leaves floating.

"Punch, punch, punch!" Korra watches the result and turns to Tenzin with her hands on her hips and smiles smugly; confidently.

"See? Mastered."

Bumi and an unconvinced Tenzin, who skeptically eyed Korra.

"Looks pretty good to me." he said nonchalantly impressed with a smile which makes Tenzin sigh and putting a hand to his face.

"Is it too late for you to unretire from the United Forces?" he asked his bother.

"The paperwork's gone through, little brother. From now on, it's 24/7 Bumi time!" Bumi said before Tenzin makes him let go and walks up to Korra.

"You've mastered Korra style airbending, now you need to master real airbending. Hopefully our visit to all the air temples will give you the inspiration you need to look more deeply into your studies." Tenzin said as he opens a scroll to reveal a map, the locations of the air temples marked with airbending symbols.

A small chibi style image of Tenzin's face smiling with a thumbs up pose has been drawn onto the map.

"Can we see where Grandpa Aang was born?" Jinora asked excitedly.

"How many lemurs can I have?" Meelo asked.

"I wanna get tattoos! But instead of arrows, I want lightning bolts!" Ikki said.

"You can't get lightning bolts. That doesn't make any sense." Jinora said.

"You don't make any sense!" Ikki said angrily.

"Fight, fight, fight!" Meelo shouts.

Ikki and Jinora press their foreheads against each other as they growl and glare at one another. Tenzin steps forward to separate his two daughters.

"No one's fighting! We're going to have a wonderful time!" Tenzin shouts and sigh. "Now that the President is in office and I'm not needed on the council, I can finally relax with my family and give Korra the attention she needs." he continued.

"Great, more attention." Korra scoffs.

"Hah! Relax... I'd pay money to see that. Maybe I'll tag along just to see 'Vacation Tenzin'." Bumi said.

"You're not invited." Tenzin said.

"Before we go on your dad's study trip, we're gonna have some real fun in my hometown at the Glacier Spirits Festival. They've got rides, games, and all kinds of fried food on sticks." Korra said to the airbender kids.

"Yay!" Tenzin's children shouts.

The kids cheer and circle around Tenzin, who makes a defeated and somewhat frustrated face.

Tenzin clenches his eyes shut for a moment and frowns, while Bumi puts an arm around his shoulder.

"Yep. There's Vacation Tenzin. And you can't stop me from going to the festival, Mom already invited me." Bumi said, then Tenzin's eyes widen slightly for a moment before narrowing in frustration.

"I'm gonna pack my stuff." Tenzin said before walking away.

Just as Tenzin, his children and brother walked their way to the temple, Korra looked to the sky, in an expression of enjoyment. Yet, she felt initiated with Tenzin's lecture. Yes, he had been trying to guide her to connect with the universe, or perhaps the Multiverse.

"Does it feel right to be the Avatar?"

"I'm not sure"

"What if it not so bizarre?"

She walked her way to the temple, thinking about herself as the Avatar.

"And although"

"I may never know"

"How it feels to be the Avatar"

Later, at the Republic City harbour, Korra, her boyfriend Mako Wang, his brother Bolin Wang, her best friend Asami Sato, Tenzin and his family were entering the ship that goes to the South Pole.

"Hey, Mako, I can't wait for the Glacier Spirits Festival." Bolin said.

"Me, too, Bo." Mako said. "I'm glad the chief let's me taking a week off to the South Pole."

"Do you always celebrate the festival, Korra?" Bolin asked.

"Oh, every year." Korra said. "You're gonna love it."

"Indeed I will." Bolin said.

"So, Asami, how's the business going?" Korra asked.

"Not going good since my dad went to prison for the Equalist incident." Asami said. "I've sent a letter to the billionaire inventor Iknik Blackstone Varrick for his help bringing my company back on top. I've arranged a meeting with him at the South Pole."

"I hope you'll rebuild your company good as new." Korra said encouraging.

"Me, too." Asami said.

"I'm sure." Korra said, thinking about something.

"What are you thinking, Korra?" Mako asked.

"Oh, nothing. Just thinking about that dream I had last night." Korra said.

"What kind of dream?" Bolin asked.

"Well, there was this symbol. It has been shown in many universes. I-I can't explain it, but I think it's something like the multiverse. Does that mean anything to you?"

"I don't know anything about cosmic stuff." Bolin said.

"But it's definingly a dream. Nothing to worry about." Korra said. "Well, to the South Pole?"

"To the South Pole." Mako, Bolin and Asami answered together.

Chapter three will be coming soon.
