We're back on chapter twenty-nine.

At night at the Eastern Air Temple, Tenzin was meditating in the circle, while everyone was waiting around a bonfire.

Bumi pokes Tenzin with a long stick, causing him to twitch; impatiently. "You in the Spirit World yet?"

"No, I am not." Tenzin said before he airbends the stick away; annoyed. "And stop bugging me."

Bumi folds his arms in annoyance.

"It's okay, Tenzin. Maybe you weren't meant to guide Korra into the Spirit World." Kya said.

"No, Kya. Just give me some time." Tenzin said obstinately.

Kya gets irritated. "Stop being so stubborn. It's not your destiny. I think Jinora was meant to guide the Avatar."

Tenzin gets up and turns. "Jinora will not enter the Spirit World! She's not ready for the dangers of the other side, but I am. I've spent years training, studying, and mastering everything there is to know about the Spirit World."

"Tenzin, we're running out of time." Korra said.

"If everyone could just be quiet and let me focus." Tenzin said before he turns and looks down to see his daughter.

"Aunt Kya is right. I can guide Korra into the Spirit World. I'll be all right." Jinora said.

Tenzin looks at his siblings, who give assuring looks. "Perhaps I will never have the connections with spirits like I always wanted... like my father wanted me to have."

Jinora hugs her father. "It's okay, Daddy."

"I'm proud of you." Tenzin said to his daughter. "Go. Close the portal. We'll wait here and keep your bodies safe till you return."

"We'll be all right." Korra said assuring.

Korra and Jinora start meditating, while Bumi, Kya and Tenzin watch on. The two girls were meditating with their eyes closed.

Unalaq: "Let them all guide you"

"You will make our dream come true"

"Listen with your heart"

"Your Avatar Spirit will glow"

"Let it break upon you"

"Like a wave upon the snow"

"Be careful." Tenzin said.

Unalaq: "Listen with your heart"

"You will understand"

As Korra and Jinora overlap, everything changes from the meditation circle to the Spirit World.

Korra got amazed. "The Spirit World."

Meanwhile, at the Spirit World Unalaq was standing in front of Vaatu.

"The Avatar has escaped, and we cannot open the Northern portal. I have failed you, Vaatu." Unalaq said in shame.

"You have not failed me... yet. The Avatar is still around."

"How do you know?" Unalaq asked.

"Even though my connection to Raava was severed, I can still feel her presence." Vaatu said.

"I'll find her." Unalaq said.

"The Avatar will find you." Vaatu said. "She has just entered the Spirit World."

Meanwhile, at the Spirit World, where Jinora opens her eyes. Korra and Jinora were standing on a spirit field.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Jinora asked.

Korra gets apprehensive. "Just... stick close to me, ok? This seems nice, but you never know when we'll run into some dark spirits. Huh!" She touches a flower, and it turns into a butterfly.

"Look! It's like it's made of jewels!" Jinora said before she chases the butterfly. "The spirits are so much more beautiful in their own world than they are at home."

"Jinora, be careful! Hold on!" Korra runs after Jinora. "Uh!" She looks down. It appears she has stepped into a meerkat prairie dog spirit's hole.

"Hey! Watch where you're going, you giant clod!" it shouted.

"Sorry!"

"This is a residential area, in case you hadn't noticed. Who do you think you are, stomping through here like that?" the meerkat prairie dog spirit asked.

"I'm the Avatar." Korra said smugly.

Another meerkat prairie dog spirit bursts from ground. "The Avatar?" It sniffs Korra. "Not impressed."

"I'm trying to find the spirit portals. I opened one…"

A third meerkat prairie dog spirit bursts from ground. "I heard Unalaq did that!"

"No, I did, but…"

A fourth meerkat prairie dog spirit bursts from ground. "Well, if you opened it, how come you don't know where it is? Huh?"

"B-because I was at the South Pole!" Korra said defensively before a whole meerkat spirits came from the ground.

"I don't trust her." a fifth meerkat prairie dog spirit said.

"Get out of our world!" a sixth meerkat prairie dog spirit said.

"We don't need you!" a seventh meerkat prairie dog spirit said.

"You don't belong here!" an eighth meerkat prairie dog spirit said.

"Get away from me!" Korra yelled before she tries to use her bending, but nothing happens.

"Did you guys see that?! She tried to bend at us, in our own holes! Get her!"

The spirits jumped at Korra. She manages to dodge some, but some latch onto her and turn into sticky blobs.

"Jinora!"

"Korra! Stay calm! Your energy is upsetting them. You're only making it worse!" Jinora said as she runs to Korra and tries to get the spirits off her.

The other meerkat prairie dog spirits march around them in circle, and a hole opens through which they both fall down into spirit waters.

The girls both hold their breath and hold onto each other's arms. Korra makes a face when she sees a very large dark spirit swimming toward them. The spirit swallows them, and they were teleported to a river that spirals down a rocky slope.

The river soon forks and Jinora and Korra went to one way. The river takes Korra and Jinora off a waterfall, and they fall down screaming into nothingness.

As Korra and Jinora lands on their backs, the darkness around them disappearing immediately.

Between nearby trees, showing that they were lying on the ground in a forest.

Korra groans and sits up. "Jinora?"

From behind the duo as they were facing three dark spirits staring her down. Korra begins to panic, breathing heavily. She turns around, her eyes darting everywhere and she and Jinora runs away from the spirits before them. Korra and Jinora start running through the forest.

They suddenly stopped and takes a step back. From behind them, a large insect-like dark spirit threatening her. The creature growls at them, lashing out, and forces them to continue. The girls walks backward, further into the dark forest.

When Korra nearly bumps with her back against a tree on which a small round dark spirit with fingers for feet was crawling, she turns around.

"We're lost." Jinora said.

"Dang it." Korra said.
