Lucia's POV

One step off the floo, and I'm now at the DMLE with a file in my hand.

The trials will take place tomorrow, and I had to hurry.

As I approached the receptionist, I laid down the file on the desk.

"I'm here to speak to Madam Bones."

The receptionist gave a quick pause as she read the file.

Upon finishing, she closed the file and said, "Follow me."

I followed her across the department, passing other employees and Aurors on the way.

As we reached the head office, the receptionist knocked on the door and waited for a reply.

"Come in."

We both obliged as we entered the office to see Amelia on the desk, reading today's reports.

The receptionist approached her.

"Madam Bones, Lady Potter wishes to speak with you."

She presents the file to her.

"Thank you, Stella. You may go," said Amelia, and the receptionist was dismissed.

Amelia then turned to me while opening the file.

"How can I help you, Lucia?"

"I went to Gringotts yesterday to read the Potter wills, and what I found disturbed me. The copy of James Potter's will is in the file."

As Amelia read the will, her eyes widened with shock and guilt.

"Pettigrew is the secret keeper?"

"That's what it said," I said.

Amelia puts down the file and sighs as she rubs her temples.

"I wasn't expecting this."

"Neither anyone in this department was expecting this."

Amelia continued reading the rest of the file until she looked up to me.

"What do you have in mind?"

"I propose an interrogation between me and Black with veritaserum."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive. For James."

I know it's difficult to cope, but there will always be a way.

As moments later, Amelia stood up with the file in hand.

"Thank you, Lucia, for bringing this to my attention."

"Pleasure doing business with you."

As she's about to leave, I called her out.

"One more thing, by the way."

"Yes?" Amelia asked.

"I would also like to speak to Lucius Malfoy, before the trial."

With a brief pause, the head replied, "Very well."
