"Charta"
Author: rawar15
This is my first try with a Undertale fanfiction, so I know that it may be a little rough around the edges, but I hope that it could become something good or just decent.
Also it isn't fanfiction just about Undertale but there will also be characters from other Universes like Ink, Error or even Cross but for the most part I will try to focus this on my own OC's.
Oh! Also it will took place in altarnate timiline where events from the Underverse (author: Jael Peñaloza) leaded to the Multiverse ending cataclysm, where only two people were left.
I think that's all for now.
So let's start.
Disclaimer: I don't own Undertale (author: Toby Fox), Underverse (author: Jael Peñaloza) or any other characters from fandom besides my own OC.
Chapter 1: "Prologue".
Everything was in shambles.
If someone could see the Doodle Sphere, the place that hause all of the creations in Undertale Multiverse, they would see thousands, millions even islands or sheets of paper slowly crumbling and disappearing away.
The Multiverse of Undertale was slowly succumbing to its final destruction.
But what caused it to happen?
Who is responsible for this terrible crime against creation?
Who is to blame for the End of the Multiverse?
Some would say it was Errors fault for his endless crusade against all of the AU's that weren't the first Universe, and because of this they were a mistake, a glitch in Error's eyes. A glitch that should be fixed, aka. destroyed.
Others would tell you that this catastrophe was brought by the one and only, Protector of Multiverse and Guardian of Creation, Ink. That it was brought by his greed that came from wanting to create and be witness to act's of creation endlessly.
Or it was brought by a whole new and unknown party that had plans of their own that led to or included destruction of the Multiverse.
But it all doesn't matter.
I could go on and on forever, blaming everyone for the demise of the Multiverse, and it would change Nothing.
The Multiverse was dying and that was a fact.
…..
You ask me who I am?
….Heh.
I would tell you that it also doesn't matter, but I will humor you and tell you who your mysterious Narrator is. I will also add something extra as a little welcome gift for you.
Am I a Player, being from another Multiverse that was playing with the lives of others for fun, or just visiting other worlds for his own curiosity?
Yes and no.
Am I an Author, being similar to a Player but instead of exploring other Worlds I created them?
Again, yes and no.
Then who am I?
It's simple, I am just a Kind Stranger.
I can see that you are trying to ask me something, I think that you didn't understand what I just said.
That's alright, but don't strain yourself. You are still too weak after the rescue.
…Huh? You don't know what I am talking about?
…. I see.
It means that you get hurted more than I initially thought.
Welp, It happens.
Now try to rest a little, so we could have an actual conversation between us.
Don't worry, I will stay here. I mean where I could go right now? Everything out there is a mess that I don't want to participate in.
…I see that you are worried that the ones that are responsible for this chaos would come here….
Don't you worry, your pal here will keep watch in the time when you will sleep.
So rest now and let everything else to me.
Goodnight and see you later…
Somewhere in the Void…
On the border of the Multiverse…
With a single lantern as the only source of light in the omnipresent darkness of the Void.
Two beings were floating in the vast emptiness.
One injured, tall and cartoonish looking skeleton wearing white and red battle armor that has seen better days.
And other, medium height human clad in white sneakers, black sweatpants and hoodie that hides his face, with an old looking brown coat (same like in classic detective stories from the forties and fifties) that had more patches then pockets.
The skeleton was soundly sleeping, slowly recovering from his wounds.
The Stranger on the other hand was keeping watch like he promised.
Eyes focused on the far away view of the Undertale Multiverse, looking for any enemy that could come from there.
Yet Stranger knew that no one would come, not a living soul.
Afterall, everything that is now, is him, his companion ,their lantern and the dead corpse of the Multiverse.
Stranger looked at his companion with the kind eyes of a brother, or even a father, and softly whispered to the nothingness in the voice that even if was young it carried a wisdom of the ages.
"So much pain has fallen on to you my child. Even if you didn't deserve it. Forcefully pulled into the war that wasn't yours, made by the people that didn't give damn about your life. You witnessed the death of your people, of your family and friends, of your world. All in the name of the dream of the mad Doctor and his friend Protector. And yet even when your world was crashing down, and you wept for the lives that were lost, you still held onto the hope, deeply in your heart that everything will be alright. Silently prayed for any help and salvation, not for you but for the innocent survivors that were suffering in this senseless war. In the end when help came it was too late, and only you were left. With a broken heart and crushed soul I found you, and when I was running with you in my arms from this cursed Multiverse, I made a promise in that moment. I will protect you as long as I can, and I will slowly teach you everything that I know. So when the time comes, and this Multiverse will be restored through the power of ultimate reset by my kin, you will be ready for this war and no one will ever defeat you. You will become the Master of this Multiverse, king anointed by me and my kind. You will be above everyone else in this world, even above the Guardian and the Destroyer, but not above us. You won't be our creation like everyone else, but something more. But let's not go too far into the future. You still need your sleep. So sleep my sweet child, as the sun is setting over your Multiverse, but for you it will be a new dawn in life. I promise this to you…..
…..Papyrus."
