Link had been wandering around the lost woods for almost a year with no luck on finding his way back to Hyrule. He barely kept alive by eating berries and other green foods found in the deep mysterious forest. Link thought to himself: None of this has looked familiar since I left Termina...I sometimes wish I hadn't left but...I need to get back to Hyrule and make sure everyone is safe...He took a few more steps then fell to his hands and knees. He had defeated Ganondorf and saved Hyrule then defeated Majora's mask and saved Termina. He was only 14 years old and just wanted to enjoy a peaceful life after all the hardships he had gone through. He fell onto his face and stomach then passed out. Hours had passed and he had woken up to a low humming sound. He saw it was dark out. He could barely see anything except a slight glow in the distance. Link slowly and painfully got up and started walking towards the glow. He walked into a large opening in the lost woods and saw what looked like a fairy fountain. Link heard a voice slowly and softly speak to him in his mind. You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you? Link thought to himself: I've heard that one before...The voice replied: Yes you have...Link thought to himself: Did I say that or think that? The mystery voice: I can read your thoughts...I've summoned you because I've been watching you for a while. I know what you seek. Link thought of Navi. Mystery voice: Sorry...That isn't what I'm referring to. You will not find her...The great Deku tree died slowly after you cured him...and Navi passed shortly after aiding you on your quest. Link looked at the ground with a sad look on his face. She helped you on your quest and didn't want to die in front of you so she flew away to die in peace. Link: So I never should have left Hyrule... Mystery voice: That isn't true. You were destined to save Termina just like you saved Hyrule. You are not only the hero of time but the hero of parallel worlds. Link: Is Termina even real though? Everything seemed so weird about that world, I sometimes wondered if I had just gone crazy and imagined it...Mystery voice: There may be more to everything than what meets the eye but yes, those people are real and have real feelings! You saved them and they are all very grateful for everything you've done for them! Link stared at the bright light for a moment with an empty look on his face. Mystery voice: I summoned you here because I can bring you back! Link: To Hyrule? Mystery voice: No...Fate already has plans for that world...However the door is still open to Termina if you go now! Or else I can't do anything else to help and you will be lost in this forest until you die of old age...and become a Stalfos. Link: What will happen to Hyrule? Mystery voice: I apologize but we are running out of time. What will it be, hero? Link: Will Hyrule be okay? And is Termina peaceful now? Mystery voice: Yes! You must go now! A portal opened and Link could see a zoomed out clock town with everything looking the same as he remembered. Link slowly walked through the portal and it closed shortly after. Mystery voice: I'm sorry for lying to you Link...But there is a much bigger threat you must face...and unfortunately none of my kind will be there to help this time...

Link appeared in front of clock town only 20 feet from the south entrance. He looked around and everything looked the same for the most part but to his surprise, he couldn't see any enemies on the field. It was night time so he thought maybe he just couldn't see any but the more he looked around, helped convince him there was no threat anywhere. He looked up and saw the super small moon that had no face on it. He let out a sigh of relief. Link walked through the south entrance and smiled when he looked around and saw everything as he remembered. He thought to himself, I'm exhausted...I'll stay a night at the inn and get some rest...Without warning, a guard shouted at him: You're under arrest, criminal! The guard swung his spear at Link. Link barely managed to grab his shield in time to block the attack as he was totally caught off guard. 2 more guards ran at Link and started swinging at him as Link took out his sword. Link thought to himself: Don't they recognize me?! He deflected 2 spears with 2 quick swings of his sword then blocked the 3rd guards spear with his shield. From behind, a guard thrust the wooden side of his spear into the back of Link's head and knocked him forward. Link dropped his shield and a guard ran towards him and punched him in the face. Link dropped his sword and fell backwards. The guard kicked him in the back from behind and dropped Link to the ground. The 4 guards relentlessly kicked Link while he was down. Link blacked out. Moments later, Link woke up on a cold concrete floor. He had a hard time breathing because of his injuries. It felt like his ribs were bruised and his back was sore from sleeping on the hard ground. He slowly got up and realized he was in a jail cell. He reached for his sword and shield and realized they were gone. His masks were gone. His items and gold were gone. His magic was gone. His heart containers were also gone as they were kept in his magic item bag. Link literally had nothing other than his green clothes and boots. Link walked up and put his hands on the bars of the jail cell. One guard crept around the corner and threw a deku nut in front of Link and blinded him and knocked him onto his back. The guard laughed as Link held his eyes in pain. The guard walked away and Link thought to himself: What is going on around here? The glowing spirit told me it was peaceful here...Now I'm in prison and nobody knows or probably even cares that I'm here. I should have continued to look for Hyrule...Link slowly dozed off.
