As David made his way back to the Slytherin common room, his mind churned with a mix of anger, hurt, and betrayal. He couldn't shake off the image of Potter's conflicted expression, the unsincerity in his apology conflicting with the knowledge of his past actions. Every step he took felt heavier than the last, the weight of the confrontation sitting heavily on his shoulders. Upon reaching the common room, the usual warmth and sense of camaraderie felt distant and cold. The other Slytherins regarded him with curious glances, sensing the tension that lingered around him, but left him be for once.

David settled into one of the plush armchairs, his mind still reeling from the confrontation with Potter. How could her own brother betray her like that? He leaned back, trying to push away the feelings of betrayal and disappointment, but Potter's words clung to him like a stubborn shadow. The flickering light of the fire cast dancing shadows on the walls, mirroring the turmoil in his heart. Deep down he knew that things would never be pleasant between him and Potter, and a part of him mourned that for Emily. The loss of the brother she thought was definitely not the way he preferred to take her away. But he also knew that he couldn't let sentimentality cloud his judgment. Potter had to be held accountable for his actions, no matter how much it pained her to do so.

"Did you find your girl?" a voice asked earnestly in front of him. Opening his eyes, he saw Cosette before him, her usually sharp eyes softened with concern. She didn't say a word, recognizing the turmoil etched on his face. Instead, she handed him a steaming cup of tea, her silent gesture of comfort speaking volumes. David accepted the cup gratefully, the warmth seeping into his hands and offering a small sense of solace amidst the chaos within him.

"Yeah in the Hospital Wing. Just the exhaustion of OWLs getting to her," he half lied. He glanced at Cosette, a silent understanding passing between them, before turning his gaze back into the crackling flames, finding a fleeting moment of peace in her presence. Cosette's eyebrow rose as she took in his pink cheeks.

"Is that all? Or should I be expecting her in the common room soon? I don't care to share too kindly..."

As Cosette probed David about his whereabouts and the nature of his visit to the Hospital Wing, he felt a pang of guilt in his chest. He knew he was lying to her, just as he had been lying to himself about the true nature of his feelings for Emily. The weight of his deception settled heavily on his shoulders, his jaw clenched as he struggled to maintain the facade. The tension between them was palpable, a stark reminder of their shared history and the secrets they harbored.

"I told you, she's just tired from OWLs," David replied curtly, his voice tinged with defensiveness. He avoided looking into Cosette's piercing gaze, knowing that she would see right through his lies. Their past relationship had left a mark on both of them, a tangled web of emotions and unfinished business that they had yet to confront. Despite their rocky history, there was still a lingering spark between them, a connection that neither could fully abandon.

Cosette's raised eyebrow and pointed questions only served to heighten the tension between them. Her possessive tone struck a nerve, reminding him of the passion and possessiveness that had once defined their relationship. He knew that she had a fiery temper and a sharp tongue, which had many times entrained him. He also knew that she wouldn't take kindly to the idea of him spending time alone with another girl, especially in the common room where their shared intimate moments in the past occurred.

"Emily won't be coming to the common room. I've offered but she already said no," David finally admitted, his voice softer this time, tinged with regret. He couldn't bring himself to look at Cosette, the weight of his confession heavy on his heart. "Besides, the others might not take to a lion in here. It would be the same for us being anywhere other than here."

Cosette's expression softened at his words, a flicker of understanding passing through her eyes. She reached out a hand, gently placing it on his arm in a gesture of comfort.

"Just be careful, David. I know how stubborn you can be when you've made up your mind. But don't let your pride get in the way of what's truly important."

David met her gaze, a mix of gratitude and regret swirling in his eyes. He knew that Cosette had always seen through him, understood him in a way that no one else did. Despite their unrestrained past, there was a bond between them that couldn't be easily broken. As he watched her withdraw her hand and settle back into her seat, a sense of longing washed over him. He knew that their story was far from over, that the chapters of their shared history were still waiting to be written. But for now, he had to focus on the task at hand, on setting things right with Potter and making him face the consequences of his actions to Emily. As the fire crackled in the hearth and the shadows danced on the walls, he steeled himself for the confrontation that lay ahead. He knew that the road ahead would be fraught with challenges and difficult decisions, but he also knew that he couldn't face it alone.

While the tension and emotions of the evening lingered in the air, David excused himself from the common room, his mind consumed by thoughts of Emily. The events of the day had left him feeling conflicted and weary, his heart heavy with the weight of his actions and the uncertainty of what lay ahead. As he made his way to his dormitory, the flickering candlelight casting long shadows along the stone walls, he couldn't shake off the image of Emily's face, the hurt and confusion etched in her eyes. Despite the turmoil in his heart, a part of him held onto the hope that she would forgive Potter, not that it took much effort on his part at this time. With a smirk, David settled into his bed, the echoes of the day replaying in his mind as he drifted into a tranquil sleep, dreams of Emily lingering in the corners of his thoughts.

In her unconscious state, Emily's mind had been a whirlwind of fragmented thoughts and emotions as she woke up in the Hospital Wing. The memories of her confrontation with James and Sirius, the pain of betrayal, and the overwhelming desire to seek solace in David's arms swirl together, creating a storm of turmoil that has left her physically and emotionally drained. She told herself that's why she collapsed, because the feelings were too strong, and quite frankly David was too far away at the time. Surrendering was a desperate attempt to escape the overwhelming weight of her actions. The switch from the chaos of her emotional outburst to the stillness of her unconscious state was a stark contrast to her usual behavior. She acknowledged it was a lot for anyone to deal with, much less the information she had learned as Potter admitted to spying on David. It emphasized the depth of her distress and the lengths to which she was driven by her conflicting desires and loyalties, something that Potter would never know.

After being released the next morning, she was allowed to return to Gryffindor tower to gather her school bag. Emily stood outside the Potions classroom, nervously fidgeting with the strap of her school bag as she waited for Professor Slughorn to allow her entry. Her mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions, the silent reminder of the hurtful words exchanged and the painful truths revealed during their previous confrontation. She could feel their gazes lingering on her from outside the door, heavy with unspoken accusations and unresolved issues that threatened to surface at any moment. Emily's chest tightened with a mix of shame, anger, and betrayal, the weight of their fractured relationships pressing down on her like a suffocating shroud.

When Professor Slughorn finally opened the door and welcomed her into the classroom, Emily tried to maintain a composed facade as she passed by Potter and Sirius, the silence between them echoing loudly in her ears. Stepping inside, the familiar scent of potions ingredients greeted her, offering a temporary reprieve from the storm of emotions churning within her. As Slughorn continued his lesson with the 6th years, she began the review of the OWL potions for the upcoming exam. Emily forced herself to focus on the task at hand, pushing aside the lingering gaze of her brother and Sirius that bore like accusing daggers. With every potion ingredient she measured out and every instruction she followed, Emily sought solace in the routine of brewing, finding a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos of her inner turmoil. Despite the heavy weight of unresolved issues and unspoken truths hanging over her, she was determined to excel in her studies and prove her resilience in the face of adversity.

It was here that Arlo approached her with a small rose in his palm. Looking at it, Emily felt a mix of emotions swirling inside her.

"Arlo, I..." she started, her voice catching in her throat as she recalled the unexpected kiss they had shared at Christmas. Before she could finish her sentence, Arlo gently interrupted, his expression remorseful yet determined.

"Emily, I know what I did was wrong, and I promise to do better for our friendship. Please forgive me?" His words hung in the air, filled with sincerity and vulnerability as he awaited her response, the weight of his apology self-evident in the quiet tension surrounding them. Emily's gaze softened, touched by his humility and willingness to acknowledge his mistake.

"I appreciate your apology, Arlo," she said, taking a deep breath, and meeting his eyes. "Let's work on rebuilding our friendship together."

Arlo nodded, a sense of relief washing over him as Emily accepted his apology. Their unspoken agreement to move forward and rebuild their friendship felt like a weight lifted off his shoulders, a glimmer of hope shining through the cracks of their past mistakes. With a shared understanding and a silent promise to do better, they both knew that their bond was stronger than any momentary lapse in judgment. In that simple nod, a new chapter began for Arlo and Emily, one filled with forgiveness, growth, and the possibility of a deeper connection forged through honesty and mutual respect.

It was finally mid May when Daphne and Emily found time to study together for the coming OWLs, something that both had promised at the start of the year. The exams were within the next four weeks, and they still felt like they had no time at all. Her friend was pacing in the common room in rapid circles again, eyes scanning the book rapidly. One could see the path etched in the carpet. Countless hours were spent pouring over their textbooks and notes. In the library, the two girls found solace in the quiet surroundings as they continued to study. Between the Transfiguration notes, their proper wand movements, or the potions ingredients, they worked diligently trying to remember for the best exams.

They had spent the afternoon practicing when Arlo had approached Daphne wanting a private moment to speak. Emily left after bidding her goodbye, claiming she was meeting David.

"Have you told Emily anything we've been looking into?" asked Arlo quietly stirring them into a quiet corner. Daphne shook her head.

"No, it's for the best that I don't tell Emmy anything until after our OWLs. She's been on edge about a lot of things."

Arlo ran a hand through his hair, his eyes darting around the courtyard. "I need to talk to you about the project we've been researching together," he said cryptically as several Hufflepuffs passed them. One even bumped into his shoulder before letting out a soft giggle.

Daphne's heart skipped a beat as she realized the importance of their conversation. They had been working on finding out the truth of Christmas for several weeks now, something that they had kept hidden from their friends. It was a project that required meticulous planning and careful execution, and any slip-up could spell disaster. Arlo had admitted that he apologized to Emily in Potions a few weeks ago, and she appeared to return the kind gesture, though he was unsure if he was supposed to admit any fault, when it wasn't. For now Daphne seemed to agree in allowing everything to run as planned for now.

"I understand," Daphne replied, her voice matching Arlo's level of secrecy. "What's going on?"

Arlo leaned in closer, his voice barely above a whisper. "I think we may have a breakthrough. But we need to act fast."

Daphne nodded, her mind racing with the possibilities of what Arlo was alluding to. She knew that their project was of utmost importance to both. They had worked too hard to get this far in this task. With a determined look in her eyes, she squeezed Arlo's hand in reassurance as someone walked right up to Arlo, pushing him in the chest. Feeling the slight push, Daphne nearly fell over as James advanced with a threatening aura.

"James!" said Daphne, quickly regaining her footing. She knew the tension between the 6th year boys had been brewing ever since the incident at the Potter's house and the Potter siblings, but her opinion changed after they had plotted everything out, finding that something was missing. Behind James stood Sirius his arms out to catch her but a bewildered look confirmed that for once he didn't agree with his friend's actions.

"You have some nerve showing your face around," James spat, his voice laced with anger, a finger pointed at Arlo.

"Prongs!" stated Sirius firmly pulling on his arm. "You can't do this anymore! Emily isn't even talking to you because of your attitude and what you did!"

Arlo stood his ground, his expression remaining calm despite James's hostility. He knew he had caused a rift between their friends. But he knew the truth of his actions—that he wasn't truly present at the Potter's house on Christmas day. It has been months since then but he still held that hate for him. Even during the Quidditch match last month, James had shouted foul language at him. It was something that apparently made its way back to Lily who gave him a firm talking to. He had learned about Emily slapping James from Daphne too.

"I understand your anger, James, but there's more to this than meets the eye," Arlo began, his voice steady, his eyes darting at Daphne to ensure she wasn't hurt by the prior push. "I need to tell you something important!"

James was taken aback by Arlo's calm demeanor, but his anger still burned hot. "I don't want to hear excuses, Stone! You've crossed a line, and I won't stand for it! My sister doesn't deserve shit friends who abuse her kindness or take advantage of her!"

Those nearest could see the foursome staring each other down. Sensing this, Daphne gently urged Arlo to step down, watching James and Sirius eye her closer.

"Let's handle this calmly, James. Arlo has something important to tell you, and you must listen."

Arlo nodded in agreement, ready to reveal the truth behind his mysterious absence on Christmas day. But before he could speak, James raised a hand to silence her, his eyes ablaze with fury.

"You've got one shot to explain yourself, Arlo," James said, his voice low and dangerous. "And it better be good."

As Arlo took a deep breath, preparing to reveal the truth, Daphne stood by his side, offering her unwavering support. She knew that whatever Arlo had to say would change everything, and she was determined to stand by him no matter the outcome.

"Look Potter, I was at home all winter holiday besides being at David's for a few days over Christmas. I was locked in a room in his house asleep for a lot of it—"

"You were asleep?! That's crap and you—" started James throwing his arms down.

"SHUT UP and let him explain!" snapped Daphne. Sirius had to hold him back or James would have jumped.

"—Cosette showed up with David after some meeting at the Ministry for an internship. But I'm telling you I was never there at your home!"

James looked at Sirius with a crooked grin and laughed. Arlo stood there, his arms at his side, his eyes pleading with them both.

"You expect me to believe you didn't show up in Godric's Hollow on Christmas Day with a bloody pie that Emily devoured by the way."

Arlo looked at Daphne, who nodded to confirm this, before looking back confused at James.

"The pie? What pie are you talking about? Daphne keeps telling me there was pie!"

"Stone, you really don't believe what we say happened?" asked Sirius nervously.

"I swear I wasn't there," urged Arlo, looking at Daphne for support. "What was this pie I apparently made?"

"Emily said your mother made it–" started Sirius.

"My mum can't cook!"

"Right…. Well that's what she said…. And it was a cheese and onion pie."

"That's Emily's favorite pie," confirmed Arlo.

"Yes it is, how do you know that Stone!"

"James!!"

"How do you know that?" asked Daphne quickly.

"She told me when we had it one evening in the Great Hall. David was there too!"

Sirius threw his hands up, motioning for everyone to stop. He eyed them each before letting out a deep sigh. "I saw Emily in tears about all this! She was frightened and afraid of hurting Daphne more than anything because you two are dating."

"I swear to all of you, I will never hurt Emily or Daphne," confessed Arlo looking at the more sensible Sirius than James who was muttering under his breath. "I am her friend. I care for her like a sister. She keeps this one from doing crazy things sometimes, but I can't understand why Emily would be fearful of me. I swear I have never thought about doing anything since she turned me down in fourth year."

James shuffled in place, but Sirius quieted him. "Tell me, where Luke was again?"

"Luke doesn't matter in this case Padfoot!" retorted James, taking a few steps away from the group.

"David was at home after a visit to Godric's Hollow. He got into a fight with you over Emily and something else, but I can't remember everything."

Thinking about the events again, Sirius had a thought come to mind.

"They all went to the large open field near the Potters to play some Quidditch, and Eric said that your skills were too good. You are a decent player, but –" mumbled Sirius out loud.

"Thanks a lot, Black, I don't need to be reminded how I lost the bloody match against Potter!"

"You cheated and you made me a fool that day!"

"Both of you shut up!" snapped Sirius holding his chin. "I sent Luke away because he was alone with Emily, and I made her angry by doing that. I mean she punched me, well she tried to at least. I went back to tell Prongs, who was with you and your brother…. I went back to … umm, I found her sleeping, and comforted her before we fell asleep talking about it…."

Extending a hand a moment, Daphne nodded before motioning a finger between her and James. "We found you sleeping with Emily in her bed!" said Daphne sharply. Arlo looked onward between the Gryffindors with amusement.

"It's true, only Padfoot is allowed apparently to comfort my sister…"

"Prongs, shut up!" snapped Sirius, sensing Emily hadn't shared what happened between them that evening with Daphne. The memory was still strong for him, but he would never admit to these three that….

"Stop telling me to shut up all of you! My sister was hurt by this wank and you two are acting odd about it all. Stone, you had better apologize about this all, right now!" James took several steps aimed at Arlo throwing his hands up into his face.

"I don't have a need to! I was at David's the whole time!" snapped Arlo taking a step forward as well.

"You think you can just waltz in here and pretend like nothing happened? You think you can lie to us and get away with hurting my sister?" James roared, his voice shaking with emotion.

Arlo, taken aback by James's sudden outburst, pushed back, his own anger rising. "Keep your bloody hands off me Potter! I didn't do whatever you say I did," he shot back, his voice full of defiance.

James, fueled by anger and betrayal, refused to back down. His eyes blazed with fury as he towered over Arlo, his fists clenched at his sides, realizing the gravity of the situation. He stood his ground, matching James's intensity with his own defiant gaze.

"I told you, I was with David. I didn't do anything to Emily, and I won't apologize for something I didn't do," he retorted, his voice firm and unwavering.

The tension was high as the two faced off, each refusing to back down. With emotions running high and accusations flying, it seemed like the fragile bond between the friends was on the verge of shattering. Sirius eyed Daphne, seeing the determined way Arlo was standing his ground but felt strange about it all was. Maybe there was more to this than any of them understood.

"In all our years together," started Arlo taking a small step backwards. Sirius looked up watching him carefully, his voice calm and level. "I've never beaten you in Quidditch. I'm a decent Keeper, but Potter, you're an excellent Chaser. Eric tells me whoever was there was able to hold Potter off multiple times. I can't do that! Whoever was there is an excellent flier, knows all of us well enough to pass as me. Also, Eric kept saying how I behaved unusual. My normal mannerisms, the way I talk, the way I hold myself. None of it added up, like whoever was there was constantly checking if any of you caught on. I can't sit still for anything. My foot always moves slightly. You've told me to sit still in class!"

Sirius stood there thinking hard on the day of question trying to find anything odd, and now he thought back, most of it was odd about Arlo. Having not spent much time with him, he found himself wondering if there had been someone else there. Being a Ravenclaw, the interactions were limited to class time, but true to Arlo's words, he did recall in Charms and Transfiguration how Arlo would shift in his chair a lot. Professor Flitwick only allowed him to move about as long as it didn't disrupt anyone. As Sirius pondered over the inconsistencies in Arlo's behavior, a glimmer of hope flickered in Arlo's eyes, grateful that someone was finally considering the possibility of his innocence. With a heavy sigh, Sirius acknowledged the complexities of the situation and the need for patience in unraveling the truth. Arlo nodded in agreement, recognizing that time was a luxury they couldn't afford to lose in clearing his name.

Rubbing his temple, he looked at the Ravenclaw with caution. "Look I don't know either, but let's hold off a bit please. I need to convince James to get off his high horse. It will take time, give me that. Just give me time. Did Emily ever say why she slapped the bloody hell out of James?"

Daphne and Arlo shook their heads.

"She didn't tell me much, but it seemed like he said something that struck a nerve," admitted Daphne. "I think there's more to it than just a simple disagreement."

"It was more than a disagreement. It was about Luke," confessed Sirius.

"That would certainly explain her uptick in appearance near the dungeons," said Arlo looking at Daphne and Sirius. "She's been welcomed by the Slytherins, though not all of them are exactly fond of a Gryffindor near their space. Whatever Luke did, either encouraged her to move closer to them, or she moved closer to them in an attempt to distance herself from Potter."

Daphne and Sirius exchanged somber nods, understanding the intricate dance of emotions and alliances that defined the delicate balance within their social circle. As the weight of unspoken tensions hung heavy in the air, Arlo's words lingered like an ominous shadow, hinting at a rift that threatened to widen between friends and lovers. With a heavy silence enveloping them, they braced themselves for the turbulent emotions and difficult choices that lay ahead.

Nodding at the pair before him, Arlo and Daphne watched Sirius leave. Finally, alone again, he turned to her, a small frown growing. They couldn't stop thinking about the exchange with James and Sirius. She knew that they needed to be extra cautious about giving information out, especially after Daphne questioned Emily hard when they returned from holiday. But she trusted Arlo unconditionally, but she also didn't want to keep secrets from her friends.

Determined to find a balance between her loyalty to Arlo and friendship with Emily, she walked hand in hand with him, a smile crossing her face. He escorted her to Gryffindor tower and gave her a gentle hug before offering a quick peck on the cheek. A lot had changed since they started researching what had happened, mostly them shifting conversations about them and a future together. Ideas and plans of even a family one day. With a newfound sense of purpose, she settled into bed, her mind buzzing with thoughts of the future. She knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, she had the support of her friends and the unwavering love of Arlo by her side.

"Hey where are you going?" she asked, seeing Emily gathering up several bath items several hours later. "A little late for a bath."

"Oh I have some things to take care of… with David …" said Emily pushing her hair back and walking out of the dorm.

"David?" mused Daphne sensing a change in her voice as sleep took over suddenly.

Walking confidently towards the Prefect's Bath, David knew that tonight was the night. Tonight they would do something they had talked about but never imagined she would agree to. He took long strides as he made the long journey from the dungeons. In total there were about four Prefect Baths, one near each House common room. While he usually went to Slytherin's, he thought it best to accommodate his Gryffindor and find hers for tonight. On his way, he carried a small bag's worth of items including a spare change of clothing. Thankfully neither of them had any duties to handle but he wanted to spend the evening with her.

As David passed by other students in the corridors, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement bubbling within him. He exchanged greetings and nods with fellow students, mostly the Slytherins who recognized him, but his mind was solely focused on the night ahead with Emily. The laughter of students and the rustle of robes filled the air, but all he could think about was the surprise he had planned for her. Reaching the entrance, he looked around seeing no one there yet. Opening the door gently and peering inside, there was no one there either. The sound of bubbling water greeted him as he stepped inside, the warm steam surrounding him. He wasted no time and set his bag down, carefully laying out the items he had brought.

As he glanced at his reflection in the water, a smile tugged at the corners of his lips. Tonight, David couldn't wait to see the look on Emily's face when she came. The thought of her pleasure and excitement filled him with a sense of eager hopefulness. Laying out his items in a neat order, he waited for his girl to arrive….

As David waited, the sound of soft footsteps approaching caught his attention. Turning around, he saw Emily standing at the entrance, a look of surprise and curiosity on her face. She had arrived quietly, like a mouse, making sure not to disturb him. He couldn't help but admire her for being so considerate.

"Hey, Emmy," he greeted her warmly, a smile lighting up his face. "I'm so glad you could make it. I have a surprise for you."

Emily's eyes widened in excitement as she stepped into the room, her gaze sweeping over the items David had laid out. She looked back at him, a mix of curiosity and anticipation in her expression.

"What is it?" she asked, unable to contain her excitement.

David gestured to the items on display. "I thought we could have a little pampering for tonight. I brought some candles, and a few other things to make it special…."

Emily's eyes brightened with delight as she realized what David had planned. She was touched by his thoughtfulness and the effort he had put into creating a relaxing and romantic atmosphere for them.

"You're amazing," she said, a smile spreading across her face. "Thank you for this. I can't wait to relax and unwind with you."

The air between them was charged with a newfound sense of closeness and excitement. The bathroom itself was a sanctuary of sorts, a quiet and secluded place where they could be alone together, away from prying eyes and interruptions. David locked the door behind them, the sound echoing through the tiled room. Emily leaned against the sink, a nervous energy coursing through her veins as she met his blue eyed gaze. There was a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes, but also a growing desire that she couldn't ignore.

The warm glow of the candles flickered around them, casting dancing shadows on the walls of the Prefect's bath. David and Emily found themselves standing close, their hearts pounding in sync with the intensity of their feelings. The air between them was charged with a recognizable energy, a testament to the undeniable attraction that had grown. David's hand gently caressed Emily's cheek, his touch sending a wave of warmth cascading down her spine like it had before. Their eyes locked, and in that moment, they both knew that they were on the precipice of something extraordinary.

"You're so beautiful, Emily," David whispered, his voice low and filled with sincerity. As the candles flickered and their hearts raced, David's endearing words filled the room, reaffirming the depth of their connection. In the intimacy of that moment, Emily felt a mixture of vulnerability and overwhelming desire, a potent cocktail that only served to deepen their bond. With David's touch and words lingering in the air, they stood on the brink of a transformative experience, ready to explore the uncharted territories of their burgeoning relationship.

His words hung in the air, wrapping around them like a comforting embrace. His fingers lightly pulled on her tank top that half fell off her shoulder, as his eyes scanned her over for any sign of resistance. Emily's breath hitched as she looked into his eyes, seeing the depth of his feelings reflected there. She felt the same overwhelming emotion coursing through her veins, a force that could no longer be ignored.

"And you, David," she replied softly, "You make my heart race and my knees weak."

The tension between them was distinct, a silent plea for the connection they both craved. With a slow and deliberate movement, David closed the gap between them, his lips gently brushing against Emily's in a searing kiss. The passion and longing that had been building between them finally found an outlet, igniting a fire that seemed to consume them both. As their lips met, the world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them. The kiss was intense, a joining of souls that spoke volumes about the love they had discovered in each other. David began to shed his clothing while Emily tugged at his belt and jeans. When they finally pulled away, their breaths came in ragged gasps, their eyes still locked in a passionate gaze.

David's voice broke the silence, his words carrying the weight of his desire. "I can't believe how much I want you right now."

The electric charge of passion between David and Emily reached a crescendo as they surrendered to the undeniable pull towards each other. Their intense kiss served as the ignition of their prolific love that had been building in the depths of their hearts. As they began to shed their inhibitions along with their clothing, their connection transcended the physical realm, solidifying the emotional bond they shared. In the midst of their desire and vulnerability, David's confession of longing echoed their mutual yearning for one another, setting the stage for a moment steeped in raw intimacy and fervor.

Emily's heart swelled at the confession, her own feelings mirrored in her response. She stared at the boy – well he wasn't a boy if he had the body of a man that drew her into a powerful sensation. His toned chest was that of a Quidditch player, though he never played for Slytherin. A lean V shaped his pelvis as she gulped hard at the manly sight before her. Basking in the afterglow of their passionate kiss, they were ready to embrace it with open hearts.

As they deepened the kiss once more, their bodies moving instinctively closer together, Emily felt a rush of desire wash over her. David's hands roamed over her body, his touch setting her skin ablaze with electricity as their kiss grew more urgent and fervent as he traveled down her body. In the dimly lit sanctuary of the Prefect's Bath, bodies pressed together in a shared moment of raw vulnerability. Fingers tracing the curves of her body, and he couldn't help but whisper his admiration. She could feel and see his chest rise and fall, he stood so close to her.

"You're so beautiful, Emily," he murmured, his voice filled with awe and desire. His lips were near her neck. "I want to touch every inch of you."

Emily's breath hitched at his words, her own desire mirroring the sentiment. "Please, David. I want you too."

The air between them was thick with anticipation, the promise of their lovemaking hanging in the balance. As they gave in to the irresistible pull of their passion, the outside world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in the warm embrace of their love.

"Oh, David... I've never felt this way before."

David's heart swelled at her confession as his hand hung low against her thigh, his love for her growing with every beat.

"I know, Emily," he whispered, his voice filled with reassurance. "But I promise I'll make you feel loved and cherished."

Their breaths mingled, the soft hum of the bathroom's candlelight providing the only soundtrack to their intimate moment. In the midst of their shared passion, Emily found the courage to express her love for David.

"I love you, David," she whispered, her words carrying the weight of her feelings. His blue eyes paused as a small smile crossed him.

"I love you too, Emily," he replied, his voice filled with the same depth of emotion. "More than anything in this world."

And as they finally pulled away, their chests heaving with the intensity of their passion, they locked eyes once more, a silent understanding passing between them. In that moment, they both knew that this was just the beginning of a love that was deep and true, a love that would continue to grow and flourish as they explored the depths of their feelings for each other. Each were acutely aware of the electricity that crackled between them.

Slowly, David's hands removed the reminder of his clothing, as Emily followed suit. Then he began to explore Emily's body, his touch feather-light as he traced the curve of her waist, the swell of her hips, and the delicate line of her throat. Emily's breath hitched, her skin tingling where his fingers grazed her skin. She could feel the desire simmering just below the surface, a fire that threatened to consume them both in its intensity. Her own hands moved to David's chest, her fingers digging into the firm muscles usually beneath his dress shirt. She could feel the rapid thud of his heart. Their eyes never left each other's as they continued to explore, their movements slow and deliberate, filled with a sensuality that left them both breathless.

As David's fingers reached the small of Emily's back, he pulled her closer, their bodies melding together in a way that felt both intimate and exhilarating. Emily let out a soft sigh, her lips parting as David's mouth found the curve of her hip, their kiss now filled with a newfound sensuality that sent shivers down her spine. His tongues danced across her thigh, a slow and sultry waltz that spoke of love and desire for each other. David's hands moved lower, his fingers brushing against the sensitive skin of Emily's thighs. She moaned softly, her body arching towards him in response to the pleasure his touch ignited within her. Pausing, his concern for her well-being evident in his voice as he brought her attention to him.

"Emily, are you sure about this?" he asked, his eyes searching hers for any sign of uncertainty. He wanted to make sure that she was fully comfortable with the steps they were taking together. Emily's heart swelled at his concern, her love for him growing with each beat.

"Yes, David," she replied, her voice filled with conviction and love. David's heart soared at her words, his love for her deepening with each passing second. Still, he wanted to ensure that she felt completely safe and secure in their shared experience. Brushing away his loose hair, she nodded.

"I trust you, and I know this is right."

In that moment, as they stood there, leaving only the all-consuming passion that bound them together. Surrounded by the soft glow of the bathroom's glowing lights, they gave themselves over to the irresistible pull of their passion.

In a tender yet electrifying move, David lifted Emily onto the nearby counter and knelt before her, his actions veiled in the shadows above. With a soft sigh escaping her lips, Emily could sense his gentle touch stirring sensations within her that were both new and exhilarating. The intimacy of the moment enveloped them as David explored her with a tenderness that left her breathless, creating a profound connection that surpassed any previous experience she had shared, even with Sirius. The familiarity of the act faded away, replaced by a newfound sense of discovery and vulnerability that deepened the bond between them in ways she had never imagined.

Letting out a soft moan, she felt him there, working kindly and parting her in ways no one had. In the midst of their shared intimacy, an unexpected noise shattered the moment, causing David to spring up in alarm while Emily scrambled to compose herself, her heart racing with the sudden interruption. As the bathroom door ominously rattled, both of them froze in a silent dread, their eyes locked in fear as muffled voices from the other side. The sudden intrusion threatened to unravel the fragile intimacy they had just begun to explore, leaving them suspended in a moment of uncertainty and apprehension.

"There must be someone already. It wouldn't be locked otherwise," said a female voice. It sounded like Lily.

"Well I wanted to spend time with you Lils," muttered a man's voice oddly like James. "I know it's early but we could try the bath near Ravenclaw."

"Yes, we could try there. Must be another Gryffindor prefect here."

Emily's heart pounded in her chest as she realized the gravity of the situation. She knew her brother would never approve of her relationship with David, especially in such an intimate setting, especially after the whole slap event a few months back. The air in the room grew thick with tension, and she couldn't help but feel a chill run down her spine. David, sensing her unease, tried to maintain a calm facade, but his own apprehension was evident in his eyes. He gently took his hand, offering a silent reassurance as he cupped over the apex of her legs. Letting out a soft cry, her mind raced, searching for a way to remain quiet under David's actions.

The suspense built as she and David exchanged anxious glances, their hearts pounding in unison, as he worked against her thigh. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they could not hear their voice anymore as the two let out soft grunts and cries of pleasure. Breathing a collective sigh of relief, David walked over to the bath and began filling it with lavender and applewood scented bath salts. All the while, his most… well… it bounced to the beat of his steps. Emily started wondering how it would fit….

"Why are you staring at me like that?" He smirked looking up before she pointed at him. Glancing down, he let out a soft laugh. "Well, yes, I can't exactly control its size…."

As the warm water filled the large bathtub, David and Emily couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. This, they knew it would be both intimate and loving. Stepping into the bath and a calming sense of connection went beyond words. The reflective glow of the water splashed against their skin was very different from the other. David's tanned skin, often hidden by his robes, outlined a toned, chiseled, nearly sculpted body that Emily ran fingers down. Hers in contrast was paler, a soft peach glow that continued beyond her own robes. Her usual gaze at him had changed seeing the man like this. A silently understanding passed between them as he leaned in capturing her lips. This was a kiss filled with love, passion, and a promise of forever. His hands wrapped around her body softly, and he took pleasure stroking her firmly as she wrapped arms around his neck. Floating in place, they began to touch and embrace the feeling of this act.

Emily's fingers traced the contours of David's muscular back, her touch sending waves of pleasure through him. She could feel the rapid beat of his heart, mirroring her own, as their passion continued to build. With each stroke, their love for one another grew stronger, their bond deepening in the warm embrace of the bathtub. He closed his eyes, savoring the sensation of her body, the love and devotion he felt for her overwhelming his senses. In the quiet embrace of the bathtub, surrounded by the flickering candlelight and the soothing water, they lost themselves in each other. They shared whispered words of love and promises of forever, their hearts entwined in a dance as old as time. It was a moment of pure romance, a reminder of the depth of their love and the magic that existed between them.

As their passion reached new heights, she moaned softly into his mouth, her body arching towards him in response to his touch. The water around them swirled and churned around their ankles, a testament to the intensity of their lovemaking. In the flickering candlelight, their eyes met finally, filled with raw emotion and desire. David's gaze was filled with love and adoration for Emily, while her eyes reflected her trust and devotion to him. Reaching the edge of the bath, he sat on the edge and allowed his feet to lightly tread the waters. Walking over, she watched as he twitched just above the water, if that was even possible. He opened his arms and guided her onto him, feeling the pain that settled into pleasure moments later.

Their bodies moved in perfect harmony, their passion reaching a fever pitch as they continued to explore each other in the warm, fragrant bath. The water around them rippled with their movements, a visual representation of the love and desire that flowed between them. As their climax approached, David and Emily's breaths grew heavier, their moans of pleasure mingling in the steamy air. Their lovemaking was a tribute to the depth of their connection, a celebration of the bond they shared. In that moment, surrounded by the soothing water and the flickering candlelight, they became one, their hearts and souls intertwined in a dance of passion and love.

Emily screamed his name over and over, until finally her eyes became blurry from the sheer pleasure she was experiencing. With pounding hearts in unison, they heard only their moans and the splashing water around them.

And with a final grunt and pull, Emily felt a warmth saturate her from within. David was panting, his chest raising and falling as he reclaimed composure from the dizzying high they experienced. He stood up and got out briefly to clean himself. A moment later, he returned and they laid together, basking in the glow of their love. They knew that nothing in this world could ever come between them. Reaching for the soap and beginning to lather it in his hands, his eyes never left Emily's. He gently began to wash her arms, his touch tender and loving. Emily let out a soft sigh, her body relaxing as she felt his hands move over her skin.

"You're so beautiful," David whispered, his voice filled with affection as he washed gently under each breast. As they continued to wash each other, their movements slow and deliberate, their love for one another was transparent. The warm water surrounded them, creating a cocoon of comfort and intimacy. David gently massaged shampoo into Emily's hair, his fingers working their way through the strands as he reveled in the feel of her soft locks.

Emily, in turn, carefully rinsed the soap from David's body, her fingers brushing against his skin in a way that felt both tender and sensual. As she rinsed the last of the soap from his chest, their eyes met, and they shared a smile that spoke of the deep connection they felt.

Lying back in the warm water, David pulled Emily closer, their bodies pressed together as they floated in the bathtub. They continued to talk softly, their voices barely above a whisper, as they shared their hopes, dreams, and love for each other. The candlelight flickered and danced around the bathroom, casting a warm glow. The scent of lavender filled the air, adding to the serene and intimate atmosphere they had created for themselves.

As the water began to cool, David and Emily knew that this moment would be one they would cherish forever. It was a love that was both sensual and loving, and one that would continue to grow with each passing day. David gazed into Emily's eyes, his heart overflowing with love for her. He reached out and gently cupped her face, his touch light and tender.

"Emily, being with you like this is like a dream come true. I've never felt so connected to another person," he murmured softly.

Emily's eyes shimmered with emotion as she leaned into his touch. She placed her hand over his, feeling the warmth of his skin against hers.

"David, you make me feel alive in ways I never thought possible," she whispered, her voice filled with love.

Some time later in a comfortable silence, David gently guided Emily out of the bath and they dried off. Though Emily's hair took a particularly longer time drying, he waited patiently as it did so. Their hearts were still pounding from the intensity of their shared moments. The night air was cool against their skin, carrying with it the faint scent of lavender and applewood. They left the bath, seeing another prefect waiting patiently outside the door.

The walk to Gryffindor Tower seemed to take forever. Emily was wearing a short night gown that went to mid-thigh and fluffy slippers that clapped against the cold stone floors. David in turn wore a thin pajama set and loafers. He was used to the cold from the dungeons and all the warmth from the corridor was unsettling, but he pushed down the thoughts as Emily smiled brightly. As they approached the entrance to Gryffindor Tower, David knew it was time for them to part ways. He hesitated for a moment, his fingers intertwined with Emily's, not wanting to let go. Her hair was still slightly wet, hanging in a loose curtain, the ends slightly curling at the end.

Emily looked up at him with eyes filled with love and trust, whispering softly, "Thank you, David. Thank you for tonight."

David smiled, his heart swelling with happiness at her words. He leaned in to place a gentle kiss, silently promising to keep their love strong.

"I hope I was satisfactory," he winked, letting out a small laugh. "I'll see you again soon."

She looked up at him with a mischievous glint and playful smile dancing on her lips. Standing before him, her heart fluttered with nervous excitement as she took a deep breath before speaking again. She gently tugged on his hand, halting his movement when he tried to move once more.

"Wait," she said, her voice barely above a whisper, causing David to stop fully, curiosity and anticipation evident in his expression.

"What is it?" he asked, leaning in slightly, eager to see what she had in store.

Emily's eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief as she leaned in closer to David, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I've been thinking," she said, her words dripping with sweetness. "And I think I'd like to make this a regular thing... you know, us…."

David's eyes widened with surprise, but a slow smile spread across his face as he realized what she was proposing. He nodded eagerly, his voice filled with excitement.

"I'd like that," he said, his voice barely above a whisper as he leaned forward taking her hand gently. "I've wanted you since I first saw you on the train. You've had my heart four years."

Emily's face lit up with joy, and she reached up to gently brush a strand of hair out of his face. Four years?

As they gazed into each other's eyes, the air around them seemed to vibrate with emotion. David's hand still held Emily's, and he slowly pulled her closer, his eyes burning with passion. Her heart raced as she felt the warmth of his breath on her skin. Without a word, he leaned in, his lips brushing against Emily's in a gentle, tender kiss. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the moment.

As they pulled back, gasping for air, Emily's eyes sparkled with happiness. David smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and whispered, "I love you."

Emily's face lit up with joy. "I love you too," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

With one last look at each other, David released Emily's hand and turned to make his way to the Slytherin common room. Emily watched as he disappeared around the corner, her heart full of happiness.

As she took a deep breath, Emily turned to make her way to the Gryffindor common room. She felt a sense of excitement and anticipation wash over her as she thought about their newfound relationship.

She slipped into the common room, where the fire crackled and students chatted and laughed. Emily made her way to a corner table, where she collapsed onto a chair, feeling like she was floating on air.

She couldn't believe it. She and David were finally together. The thought sent shivers down her spine as she smiled to herself, feeling grateful for the unexpected turn of events.

As she sat there, lost in thought, Emily realized that this was just the beginning of something special. She couldn't wait to see what the future held for her and David.

The two of them stood there for a moment, wrapped in the warmth and magic of their secret midnight tryst. And as they finally parted ways, they knew that their love would continue to flourish, hidden from the rest of the world but shining brightly in their own little corners of Hogwarts.

Emily sat in the Gryffindor common room, lost in thought as she stared into the flames. She was still reeling from her encounter with David earlier. Just as she was starting to drift off into thought, she sensed a presence behind her. Turning, she saw Sirius standing in the doorway, his eyes locked onto hers with a piercing intensity. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the air thick with unspoken tension.

Emily's heart skipped a beat as she felt a pang of disappointment wash over her. She had always thought that Sirius would be the first to... well, to do something like that with her. But now, as she looked at him, she felt a sense of longing that she couldn't quite explain. Sirius didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary. He simply nodded at her and walked away, leaving Emily feeling more confused and upset than before.

As she watched him disappear into the darkness, Emily felt a lump form in her throat. She hadn't realized how much she had been holding onto the idea of Sirius being hers. Now, as she looked around at the familiar surroundings of the common room, she felt sadness and regret.

She didn't know what it was about Sirius that had sparked this feeling in her, but she knew that she needed to deal with it. She took a deep breath and tried to shake off the lingering emotions, but they lingered in the back of her mind like an unresolved question.

As the night wore on, Emily couldn't help but steal glances at Sirius whenever he passed through the common room. She was grateful for the distance between them, but a part of her still wondered what could have been if things had been different.
