Sora sat quietly as Donald flew the Gummi Ship to the next world. It's been a couple of months and he hasn't gone back to see Poppy, or Branch. They're his friends, why would he NOT want to visit them?
"Oh, hey, Sora!" Poppy cried, waving, running to catch up with Sora. Sora quickly shoved the leaves back on top of the Gummi SHip, pulling Donald and Goofy's attention away from it. "Y-yeah, Poppy?" Sora asked, leaning against the ship, disguised as a pile of leaves.
"I, uh-" Poppy said, her voice trailing off, staring at the leaf pile. She shook her head and smiled again. "I noticed you don't have a Hug Time Bracelet so I wanted to formally give you one!"
"Oh, really?" Sora asked. "What do I have to do?"
"Just hold out your arm for a moment!" Poppy replied, smiling. She pulled out a tape measure and wrapped it around Sora's wrist. "I would give some to your bug friends too, but I think their wrists are too small."
"Oh, no, it's okay," Goofy smiled.
"Really," Donald added.
"Well, thanks, Poppy!" Sora cheered.
"Don't think me yet!" Poppy said, pulling the tape measure away. "I'll be right back. Wait, no, actually, Branch will be right back. Then we can get you an official Hug Time Bracelet!"
Sora smiled and waved at Poppy as she hopped away, excitedly. Donald, Goofy and Sora patiently waited by the leaf pile until Branch came to get them. He lead them to the big mushroom from before, the one Poppy hosted their anniversary party at, and took a sharp left from the mushroom. Sora didn't ask questions as Branch stopped in front of a large tree, with decorated tinsel on the bottom. "Here we are," he said.
"Sora!" Poppy cheered. Sora waved. "Wait right there!" Poppy said, running ahead, down a short, red carpet. Poppy turned around, quickly, and held up a box. That's when Sora noticed the rest of Troll Village standing nearby, chanting his name. "Sora!" Poppy exclaimed, smiling. She started marching towards him. She motioned for him to stay put.
"In honor of your heroic acts in the past few days, I, now officially Queen Poppy, announce you to be an honorary Troll of Troll Village!" she exclaimed. She stopped in front of him, motioning for him to kneel, which he did. "In memory of this day, I grant until you, your own Hug Time Bracelet!" She opened the little jewelry box, revealing a red bracelet, similar to design as the others'. She pulled the bracelet out of the box, and handed it to him, like a sword.
Sora smiled and put it on. The Trolls cheered.
Sora rubbed his wrist where the bracelet should be. "Sora?" Goofy asked. "You okay?"
"Hm?" Sora asked, breaking out of his thoughts. He stared at Goofy for a minute. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I'm just...I'm just wondering how the Trolls are doing, I mean, after Namine messed with my head and all. I mean, most of my friends didn't seem to remember me."
"Yeah, but you fixed that problem!" Donald cheered. "Either after you sealed the Keyhole or they just remembered at some point!"
"Yeah, but I've already been back to visit all of them," Sora said. "I mean, we're visiting new worlds now! Poppy might not remember me still!"
"Well, if we see the wormhole, we can stop by!" Goofy said.
"Oh, no!" Donald retorted. "I remember how it was last time!"
"But what if they're in danger again, Donald?" Sora asked. "We won't be there to stop them from the Heartless!"
"Come on, Donald, do it for Sora?" Goofy asked. "I know you have a soft spot for him!"
Donald didn't reply for a moment, but, instead, grumbled. "Okay, fine!" Donald said. "But I still don't like it!"
Donald floated closer to another world. This one has Chinese buildings, a dragon carved into the top building, and red flags. "Donald!" Sora cried suddenly. Donald jolted and swerved the ship. "Don't do that!" he yelled.
"Donald! Look!" Sora exclaimed, pointing out the window to a yellow, blue, purple and pink, swirling wormhole, a little to the right of the next world. "There!"
Donald stared out the window. He stared at Sora, then sighed. "Okay, fine!" he grumbled. Sora smiled, and sat back down at his seat. Donald turned the ship towards the wormhole and inhaled deeply. He exhaled and flew right at it, holding onto the steering wheel as tight as possible.
The same process repeated from last time, the colored lines gradually gaining speed and blurring past them, to Donald turning into a stuffed animal and Goofy and Sora turning into a felt project. Again, they screamed the whole way through.
They screamed more when they saw the ground. Donald pulled up at the steering wheel, still screaming, and straightened out the Gummi Ship, before pulling it in for a landing.
They all sat in their seats for a moment, before Sora recovered first, sitting up, and brushing off his clothes. "Well, great landing as always, Donald! Much better than the first time!"
"U-uh huh," Donald said, his voice shaky. "Yeah." Donald pried his nub hands off the steering wheel, then stumbled as he walked towards the door. "Let's just...let's just go."
Donald followed after the two of them. "Hey! Look!" Sora cheered suddenly.
"What now?" Donald asked, already irritated.
"My Hug Time Bracelet!" Sora exclaimed, pointing at the red band beneath his left glove. "It's back!"
