Inuyasha was sitting in his room. He was looking out the big windows while basking in the sun. Shiroryū was playing on the floor a few feet away on his play mat.

A few minutes went by, and he felt a tug on his kimono sleeve. He looked down to find Shiroryū looking up at him, holding his dog toy, "Mama, toy. Papa dog."

Inuyasha gasps for air, "Omg, Shiro! You spoke! Sesshomaru, come here!"

Within a few moments, Sesshomaru comes through the doors looking upset, "What is wrong, Inu?"

Inuyasha looks down and speaks to Shiroryū, "Can you show Papa?"

Sesshomaru watched as Shiroryū looks at him then slowly turns and wobble walks over to him. Sesshomaru crouches down and slightly holds out his arms, "Come on my son, you can do it."

Shiroryū continues to wobble walk and soon he is in his father's arms. Inuyasha comes and joins them and says to the boy, "Go on, tell papa."

Shiroryū looks up at his papa and holds his toy out, "Papa, toy is papa. Papa dog."

Sesshomaru smiles at him, "Yes my son, toy is Papa. So proud of you."

Inuyasha kiss him on the forehead. Shiroryū rubs his eyes and mumbles out, "Sleep."

Inuyasha slowly rocks him to sleep then puts him down in his crib.

"Sess, I can't believe he talked. Oh our son is growing up so much." Inuyasha chimed quietly.

Sesshomaru hugs him from behind, "Yes love he is. He will be great."

Inuyasha nodded. He soon too yawns as well, "Well might as well take a nap too. Will you join me?"

Sesshomaru shakes his head, "Father and I have some business. I'll be back before dinner."

Inuyasha hummed while laying down.

~Sesshomaru's Office~

Sesshomaru walks into his office to find his father sitting in a chair, "Afternoon, Father."

Toga stands up to greet his son, "Hello, son. How is your Midday going."

"Fine Father. Shiroryū did a good thing today."

"Oh what did my glorious grandson do!"

"He spoke to Inuyasha and I."

Toga chuckles, "How wonderful. Let's have a small celebration with family."

Sesshomaru smiles, "Yes let's. For now on to today's agenda. Lord of the South is being relentless."

Toga sighs, "What does that old coot want."

"For his daughter and I to marry."

"Doesn't he already know your married to Inuyasha. He was there at the wedding."

"He wants me to take her as a second wife."

"No, absolutely not. There is no way Inuyasha will agree to that. She needs to give up on you. I understand that she did like you, but she knows going after married men is not okay. Didn't her cousin want to marry her?"

Sesshomaru nods, "Yes, but she is banking on me to say yes. Maybe her plan is to make her heirs leaders, but that is not going to happen. Inuyasha and our children are my priority."

Toga nods, "How many letters is it now?"

"This is the fifth one."

"Well this is not good. You must send back a reply to say that that union will not happen no matter what. She might get angry, but that is there problem."

Sesshomaru writes a reply then summons a messenger demon.

The messenger demon, "Yes , My Lord."

Sesshomaru hands him a letter, "Send this to the Lord of the South."

"As you wish, My Lord." With that he leaves.

Sesshomaru then sits back into his chair. He ponders on how he is going to tell Inuyasha. He will surely not going to like the fact that someone else want to marry him. God what a pain.

~Dining Room-Sesshomaru's POV~

Sesshomaru and Toga walk into the dining room and sit down, with Sesshomaru at the head and his father at the other end.

Inuyasha spoke to him, "Did you get everything done?"

I finch when he asked me of this. What do I tell him.

"Everything is fine, Inuyasha."

Inuyasha looked at me then frowned, "You rarely use my full name unless it was something serious. What happen?"

I sighed. Damn him and knowing my feelings. "Well, Father and I were going through some papers and well a letter had come from me from the Lord of the South."

"Okay? What, does he not want to remain civil or something?"

"No just the opposite. He want the strengthen it by having me marry is oldest daughter, Lady Yurina."

Inuyasha clinches his chopsticks, "Doesn't he know you are married already."

"Yes, but he proposes that I take her as a second wife."

I see Inuyasha smile hard and continues to feed Shiroryū, "Well I hope you said no. If not there will be consequences to your answer."

"Of course I did say no. You're all I need for eternity even if you pass on before me. I shall take no other after."

Inuyasha kisses me on the cheek, "Good. This Lady Yurina better know as well."

"Of course, koi." I look over to my father who shakes his head.

~End of Sesshomaru's POV~

He then spoke up, "Alright you two, not in front of the children. Now let's celebrate on Shiro speaking today."

Izayoi claps, "Oh he did! How splendid!"

Everyone cheers.

Shiroryū made a face.

Inuyasha notices and asked, "Shiro what's wrong?" Everyone waited.

Shiroryū pouts then says, "Loud. Quiet."

Sesshomaru chuckles a little, "Forgive us son, you surprise us so much. We will tone it down."

Inukimi smiles, "Such a demanding young one."

Shiroryū then smiles and points to Inuyasha's food, "More."

Inuyasha gladly gives him more, "Of course, my baby! Eat as much as you want!"

Sesshomaru watches with glee.

~SessInu Room~

Inuyasha had just finished giving Shiroryū a bath. He sits in his chair and slowly rocks Shiroryū to sleep.

Sesshomaru comes into the room as Shiroryū brings an arm up making grabby hands to his father. Sesshomaru gently let him grab his finger.

"Papa, sleep."

"Yes, time to sleep."

Shiroryū drifts off in no time. Inuyasha slowly puts him down in his crib.

Sesshomaru kisses Inuyasha and said, "Go and take a bath. I'll watch him."

Inuyasha nods and walks into the bathroom.

A few seconds go by and Sesshomaru calls out, "You may appear."

The same messenger he sent away that afternoon appears, "My Lord, I have returned."

"Your report," Sesshomaru asked while sitting on his bed.

The messenger gives him a letter, " They had me wait for their reply. I'm sorry I peeked at it though."

Sesshomaru waived him off, "It is fine. I trust you Toji. How bad is it before I open it."

Toji frowns, "You won't like it . They seem to hate what you said."

Sesshomaru looks at the letter putting it down. He didn't really want to look at it at all. What if they want to go to war over this. He just sighs.

Nodding at Toji, Sesshomaru opens the letter. All there was is a single sentence.

I will have you one way or another Lord Sesshomaru.

~Lady Yurina

Sesshomaru balled up the letter, "That woman has lost her mind."

Without noticing, Inuyasha speaks, "Who has lost their mind"

Sesshomaru and Toji look to see Inuyasha coming out of the bathroom.

"Um nothing love."

Inuyasha look to Toji, "Hello Toji. If you are here then it means some rather troublesome business, right?"

Toji looks to the ground, "Greetings Lady Inuyasha."

Inuyasha ignoring the greeting, looks back at Sesshomaru, "Tell me what is wrong, now. You promised me no secrets right. I am your other half."

Sesshomaru sighs, "You know I can't hide nothing from you. Lady Yurina sent a letter."

Inuyasha grabs it out of his hand, unfolds it and reads it.

With rage he tosses it into the fireplace, "THAT UNCOUTH BITCH. SHE'LL PAY."

With the yelling Shiroryū woke up screaming.

Inuyasha immediately picks him up, "Shiro, Mama is sorry." He begin rocking him.

Sesshomaru puts a hand on Shiroryū's head to help soothe him, "Love, I'll handle everything. They are suppose to come for the next Lord's meeting anyway."

Finally putting Shiroryū to bed Inuyasha speaks softly, "Lets just continue this in the morning."

Sesshomaru nods and then says, "Toji, you may go, goodnight."

Toji bows, "Goodnight, My Lord and Lady."

After checking on Shiroryū one more time, Sesshomaru climbs into bed with Inuyasha and falls asleep.
