Author notes: Hi, this story primarily takes place all before the start of the main plot of the series. I am an anime watcher so take that into account while reading this story but I will also be taking liberties in certain details to make the story flow a little better. While I do genuinely want to stay close to the themes and general vibe of AOT I am a romantic at heart and can't bring myself to make this story sadder than it already is. So expect this story to be about 15% trauma and 85% what I'm saying is expect fluff to take precident over…. Everything else. I own nothing of attack on titan other than the OC's and anything written or said by any characters do not reflect my own thoughts or beliefs.
Prologue
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to our regularly scheduled programming. We have a very special guest joining us today - I am honored to introduce you to Kataline Pfeiffer, the newest addition to The Teatro San Carlo. Kataline is a gifted young pianist and vocalist for the theatre The Teatro, she is the daughter of our very own Franz Pfeiffer here in Sheena - the Treasurer of our National Banks. Now let's give a warm welcome to this gifted performer - the songbird of Sheena!"
The boy sat in a pile of his own feces, too weak to move from the corner of his room. The low pitch buzzing of the radio sputters out on the station Universal Broadcast Station. A long silence; more cackling from the radio. A young voiced chimed in, clear as day. "Thank you for the warm introduction, darlin."
The girl sat in an opulent chair, the man across from her placing his hand gently on her knee as he introduces her into his microphone. A blank stare from her father, a nod to continue.
"Want to hear a song?"
The man sat across Erwin Smith, sitting above the crowd staring unto a full theater. Erwin's hands are laced together, glancing over at his colleague, "Maybe they're hoping you die right away so you're more of a symbol. If it eases you at all you are both the same age and you will be greatly compensated. Maybe you will grow to like her, she's not that bad looking at all. And who knows - maybe she can keep you entertained."
As if on cue the lights flash on and the curtain slowly reveals the woman. A male voice echoes through the theater, "Please give a warm welcome to our very own Kataline Pfeiffer - after five long years returns to the stage for one night."
Her dark hair lays straight down her back, reaching her hips. It is long and thick, cascading down her shoulders, around her body. The man can see her gaze slowly search the crowd, though her face doesn't give anything away. She smile is welcoming but also mischievous - pulling the crowd into her presence as if in one a secret. "The Teatro San Carlo! Thank you all for this opportunity - this will be my last performance here. Let me sing you a song."
The Bride wearing white. She lifts her hands in a bow and when she straightens out her eyes find his, even in the dark among a sea of people. Levi doesn't even know she can see him but a smile crosses her lips. She opens her mouth and lets out a shriek. Levi can see the audience recoil at the sound as he hears the hurried feet of theater hands running to get her off stand.
As a man jumps from the wing of the stage to drag her off she is laughing incessantly. She waves to the crowd enthusiastically as they boo her off stage, "Thank you, thank you - have a great night! Don't forget to buy a copy of the Daily Telegraph."
Lights off.
And entertained Levi shall be. On the way out Levi throws a few coins at a kid with stacks of newspaper swaddled in his arms.

Potential Cure for Plague Discovered by Independent Researcher
Authored by: Kataline Pfeiffer
An anonymous researcher located in The Shiganshina District has made potentially ground-breaking strides in finding a cure for the deadly plague that has been devastating the country. Despite a lack of government funding, the researcher has managed to develop a potential antidote that could save countless lives. However, the ongoing cynicism in the government's handling of the situation still looms as food shortages in the Trost still weigh heavy on its occupants, with many people wondering whether the government will intervene. This is why now, more than ever, it is critical that global leaders invest in the tools and technologies needed to make the agriculture sector more resilient and foods more nutritious.
