Team Ten had just woken up when they had gotten a knock at the door. Naruto opened the door to see a anbu. "Hokage-sama is calling all geninn for the preliminary round. Be there in fifteen minutes." With that the anbu disappeared. Naruto walked back inside."Who was at the door.", Shikamaru and Ino asked simultaneously.
"It was just a anbu calling us for the preliminary rounds." Naruto replied with a shrug. After putting on their clothes they made their way to arena we're the preliminary rounds were to be held.
Fifteen minutes later
Naruto and his team had finally arrived. when they arrived the third hokage started to speak. "these rounds will be held as there are two many people left" The remaining twelve will move onto the finals. If you don't see your name on the board please move to the viewing stands.
Ino yamanaka Vs Sakura Haruno
Ino seeing her name against Sakura's thought this match would be a breeze. With that everyone moved to the stands. The only peopleeft in the arena was Sakura and Ino. The two looking at each other heard the proctor say begin.
Hearing this Ino rushed towards Sakura who was ready for the move. Blocking it Seeing Sakura block the blow ino went with a right hook towards Sakura's stomach. Feeling it connect ino went for another but was meet with a punch to the face. Jumping back Ino went through a few hand signs yelling out "Shadow clone justu" Then one clone appered.
It rushed for Sakura while the real Ino had stayed back and went through about thirty hand signs. seeing the perfect opportunity she yelled out mind transfer justu. It connected she was now inside Sakura's mind but when she went to say something she saw something. As she walked closer she saw a white figure that looked like sakura.
It was her. No it was the inner her. That was when she had to start fight for control over the body. Ino felt her control over the justu lessen. She was back in the real world. But the she passed out as fighting for control over the body really took a toll on her.
"The match ends in a draw." The third hokage stated with a disappointed face.
Sasuke Uchiha Vs choji akimichi
The two boys steeped down to the Arena. Then the match started with choji yelling out "Spiky Human boulder." Then chojis whole body grew turning into a bolder rushing towards sasuke. Sasuke using one of the justu he knew called out "Fire style: Phoenix flower" Then three flowers made of fire rushed out of Sasuke's mouth racing towards choji.
The two justu's clashed towards each other causing a smoke screen. Sasuke pulled out ninja wire Throwing it in the direction of choji. Sasuke feeling it cling onto something pulled it in his direction. It was choji coming at Sasuke fast. Sasuke seeing choji coming in fast kicked choji in the face knocking him out winning him the fight
"Winner Sasuke Uchiha" The old hokage said with a bit more emotion seeing the match have more intensity.
The next matches we're the same as the anime having temuri beat ten ten. Neji beating Hinata. And shikamaru getting a free pass to the finals.
Garra Vs Rock Lee
Lee flipped into the arena while garaa appered in a swril of sand. "Let our flames of youth flash bright in this fight.
With Team Ten
"Ahh it alright Uno you'll get em next time" Naruto sqid trying to comfort his teammate. (Yawn) "Why don't you give it a rest Naruto." Shikamaru said with a yawn. Before Naruto could respond a bloody scream was heard when Naruto's team looked over they saw Lee get devoured by sand. but then as Lee was about to fully perish guy stepped in saving him had it not been for guy he would be dead.
