Chapter 3
Disclaimer: I don't own Dragonball. The franchise belongs to Akira Toriyama and Toei Animation.
Gine's eyes widened as Raditz, transformed into a Super Saiyan, landed between her and Zamasu. The golden aura surrounding Raditz cast an otherworldly glow over the forest, momentarily blinding Zamasu who shielded his face with Gine's delicate hands.
"Who dares interrupt my victory?" Zamasu growled, his voice tinged with irritation. He lowered his hands, revealing his now narrowed, calculating eyes.
Raditz stepped forward, his expression fierce. "I am Raditz, Son Goku's brother, Gine's eldest son and you will not harm anyone else today." His words were firm, each syllable punctuated by the crackling of his energy.
Zamasu chuckled, a sound that sent chills down Gine's spine. "Raditz? How amusing. Do you truly believe you can stop me, in this... borrowed form?"
Raditz looked angry. "I don't know who you are but you are going to pay for stealing my mother's body!" With that, he launched himself at Zamasu with lightning speed. Their bodies collided with a force that shook the earth beneath them. Trees swayed violently, their leaves torn away by the sheer power of the impact.
Gine, still struggling to stand, watched in awe as Raditz fought with a ferocity she had never seen before. Each punch, each kick was a testament to his resolve. Zamasu, however, despite not being a super saiyan, matched him blow for blow, using Gine's body with a grace that unsettled her.
As they clashed, Gine saw an opportunity. With a surge of determination, she channeled what little ki she had left and focused it on her legs. She sprinted towards the battle, her movements slow and clumsy compared to their fluid combat.
"Raditz, behind you!" Gine shouted just as Zamasu attempted a sneak attack. Raditz spun, catching Zamasu's arm and twisting it with a brutal efficiency. Zamasu grunted in pain, the first sign of weakness Gine had seen.
"Now!" Raditz yelled, his eyes locked onto Gine's. She understood immediately—he wanted her to finish Zamasu off while he held him in place.
Gathering all her strength, Gine lunged forward, her hand forming a blade of pure energy. She aimed for Zamasu's heart, her mind focused on nothing but ending this nightmare.
At the last moment, Zamasu twisted free from Raditz's grip, spinning away just out of Gine's reach. "Foolish woman," he spat, his chest heaving with exertion. "Do you really think it would be that easy?"
Raditz moved to intercept Zamasu again, but Gine could see the strain on his face. He was tiring, and fast. They needed a new plan, and quickly.
"Raditz, we need to combine our attacks!" Gine called out, her mind racing. She remembered the stories of Kakarot and Vegeta's fusion techniques, the power they could unleash when working together.
Raditz nodded, understanding dawning in his eyes. "On three," he said, taking a deep breath. "One... Two... Three!"
They both released their ki simultaneously, their energies intertwining in a dazzling display of light. The combined blast shot towards Zamasu like a supernova, leaving no room for escape.
Zamasu's eyes widened in shock as the beam enveloped him, the force of it lifting him off his feet. Gine held her breath, watching as the light consumed him entirely. When it finally dissipated, Zamasu lay motionless on the ground, Gine's body battered and broken.
Relief flooded through Gine, followed swiftly by exhaustion. She collapsed to her knees, her vision blurring as Raditz rushed to her side.
"Are you alright, mom?" Raditz asked, concern etched across his features. Gine managed a weak nod, her throat too dry to speak.
'We were lucky, this Zamasu may have my body but he doesn't know how to use it's power.' Gine thought to herself.
A part of her dreaded at the idea at what would've happen if Zamasu had time to adjust to her body and had access to Super Saiyan Blue.
Just as Raditz reached out to help her stand, a sinister laughter filled the air. Both Gine and Raditz froze, their eyes snapping towards Zamasu's prone form.
"You think that was enough to defeat me?" Zamasu's voice echoed, laced with mockery. Slowly, he rose to his feet, Gine's body healing before their very eyes. "I am eternal, unstoppable. So is this body. And now, I have your power, Raditz. You may a mistake in fighting me."
Fear gripped Gine as Zamasu's eyes glowed green with a malevolent light. He extended his hand, a dark yellow energy swirling within it. "Say goodbye to your precious body forever, Gine."
Zamasu has become a Super Saiyan.
