In an alternate universe of earth, in the state of Idaho, one of the largest and strategic military base of the United States, called the JFB Kolwat, alongside a classified nuclear launch facility along with its missiles, suddenly dissappeared from a bright light, because a random soldier opened a random book. Now the base is in a difficult situation.

The legend goes that there are four cardinal heroes. But fact and fable are often twisted in the land of Melromarc, while others are left out completely. One such fact is that there is actually another hero, the Armory hero, who doesn't wield a primary weapon. But the world will soon remember as Darius Saxon is called to remind the people that there aren't four heroes, but five.

A somewhat older Naofumi is summoned by Melromarc to fight the Waves of Catastrophe and struggles against the machinations of politics, religion and the soiled reputation he has thanks to Malty. Major canon divergences due to Naofumi being older, wiser and more experienced having left home, graduated college and becoming a salaryman and even having had a relationship before.

Haunted by nightmares of her future Malty S Melromarc, the first princess of Melromarc is visited by a Goddess of another world claiming to be her salvation, and promising her the crown after. The twelve-year-old had to do one thing in return. She had to become the Shield hero's sword, betraying her father and the three hero church's plans in the future.

Just something short and fast where Naofumi finds a way back home right after his name has been cleared.

Naofumi is an adult weeb that faces a shitty situation by being in another world. As the hero of four who carries the shield, he's betrayed and despised by the kingdom he must protect. This forces him to begin a reflection on how to act. With the steadfastness of a beast, he will travel a vast path in search of a positive way out.
