What got into Roxy? She never took the initiative before. To think she would do that…

It's all a bit foggy, but I must have fallen asleep.

Groan!

I need to get up. His Majesty, Ainz Ooal Gown, is scheduled to arrive today. To have him wait, is punishable by death.

Huh?Why do I have all this energy? Shouldn't I be feeling hungover?

Opening his eyes, he felt it was difficult to open them, he looked at the scene around him in confusion. This place looks familiar but also foreign at the same time.

As he sat up, he noticed his hands had turned tiny and he felt much smaller and shorter than before. He wonders if this is a dream. But what kind of dream could feel this real?

[Detecting…Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix has returned to the past. Current age: 9 years old. Detecting…chance of changing the future …0.000009%…seeking countermeasures generated…..A wish.]

Feeling the information appearing inside his mind, Jircniv was confused. He understood magic was versatile but there had to be a limit. He had returned to the past in order to change the future, but which one?

He did not remember anything being as bad as everyone predicted. Ainz Ooal Gown conquered the entire empire, even the kingdom and the surrounding territories. The Slane Theocracy attempted to stop the monster king but was stomped out like ants.

Contrary to what one might think, Ainz Ooal Gown was a good king, as he allowed humans and other races to live in harmony.

Jircniv was able to remain the regent of Baharuth, despite it being his land, his birthright. Though that was the case, he did not mind as he could give up his throne to someone more worthy than him. However…why is this asking him to change the future? Even given him a wish.

From his point of view, no matter what one does, it's impossible to move the giant that is Nazarick. They possess such power that not even all of humanity could hope to match, so what was he supposed to do? Even if the Six Great Gods came back, he doubted they would reach the throne of Ainz Ooal Gown.

Still, the main situation at hand is figuring out how he went back in time. No magic was able to do this according to what he knew. Though he was not versed in magic, even he knew this fact.

Time was something one cannot change. True, some could halt its flow, speed up their perception of it, but none could turn it back. That's something not even the gods could not do.

This thing could do the impossible but even it seems incapable of changing the future.

What kind of wish can I make?

Jircniv was not sure if this would work but it seemed his worries were unwarranted.

[Host can wish for anything within reason.]

I should assume the 'host' is me, it's quite obvious. However, anything within reason? That's quite a bold statement. I could just wish for the future to change and everything will be solved but there will be a problem. There is no guarantee that the future will actually change the way I want it to. Just look at the chance of success, not even 1%.

What should I wish for? Power that none could match? However it's unknown how that will match up to Nazarick.

No one in the world could pose a challenge to Ainz Ooal Gown, probably only his subordinates but there were no signs of betrayal even in the distant future.

But if I wish for the power to wedge a gap into their loyalty it might happen but then again, the chance of it failing is higher.

Thinking for a moment, Jircniv thought of all possibilities before his hands and body trembled as he came to a startling solution, but did he dare? What choice did he have?

I can wish for anything, right?

[Host can wish for anything within reason. If your wish surpasses the perimeter of the system, your wish will be weakened but still granted.]

If this works, not only will Baharuth be safe, I can give humanity a chance to stand firmly in the world Nazarick will eventually create. Still, this would not change humanity's situation, not completely.

Though in the future Ainz Ooal Gown was a good king, that did not mean everything was fair. Humanity was treated like servants. He was spared because he served as the jailer who kept them in line, though Renner did as well.

She was not exactly the same as him. Renner might be scarier than the horrors that laid within that tomb.

To make sure there were no other options, Jircniv pondered but could not think of anything other than what he previously thought.

I wish to be the child of one of the Supreme Beings.

Everyone knows of the Supreme Beings, the rulers of Nazarick and comrades to Ainz Ooal Gown.

Ainz Ooal Gown places extreme concern and love for the Supreme Beings and by extension their children. If Jircniv was to become a child of the Supreme Beings, then he would be safe and have plenty of time to grow once Nazarick emerges.

Of course, this is all based on if Ainz Ooal Gown could notice his lineage and not ask questions he cannot answer.

[...Computing….. wish is within reason.]

[There are 41 Supreme Beings, with the leader Momonga, also known as Ainz Ooal Gown, being the only one to remain. Host, please choose from the Supreme Beings listed below: Momonga, Touch Me, Ulbert Olde Alain, Peronocino, Bukubuku Chagama, Lucifer, HeroHero, Blue Planet….]

Ainz Ooal Gown's true name is Momonga? This is something important. Only his closest friends and aides would know that, and If I know, that could prevent issues down the line. Though, if I say it upon meeting, it might backfire.

Looking at the list, Jircnov thought about it but could not choose. First of all, he couldn't choose to become Momonga's son as that would be too obvious and cause him to die.

If Momonga comes out of his tomb and discovers he had a son, the first thing he would do is pry that information from his corpse. He had seen how powerful Momonga's control over death is, it's not hard to see him doing that.

Secondly, even if Momonga was okay with this mysterious son, how would Jircniv explain it? It would be complicated, especially when Momonga has a demon that can pry those secrets from his lips.

Since Momonga was not on his list, Jircniv focused on the others. However, as he looked at the names, nothing was any clearer. It's true everyone knows of the Supreme Beings, but that only extends to their names.

Honestly, it did not matter which one he chose since all he was getting was the status of their child. This will be his protection.

Since it did not matter, he commanded the voice that called itself a 'system' inside his mind, 'Apart from Momonga, choose one at random.'

[Understood.]

Inside his mind, a huge wheel manifested and started spinning, with the images of the Supreme Beings in various stances and wielding weapons. The background of the Supreme Beings were golden, red or black, which he didn't know the reason behind.

The pointer began to spin, before settling on a golden background.

[Random selection completed. Selection: Touch Me.]

This name sounds familiar. Mhmm, who is Touch Me?

[Touch Me is the Supreme Being of Justice and Order. He is the strongest of the 41 Supreme Beings and ranked 7th throughout Yggdrasil. However, after Touch Me's justice became too unbearable, one of the Supreme Beings, the Lord of Chaos left, causing the number of Supreme Beings to plummet to 41.]

So this guy is extremely powerful. To be ranked first amongst the 41 Supreme Beings, the strength of Touch Me should not be taken lightly. I do not know where Momonga ranks amongst them but it should be high. To be able to kill over 70,000 thousand soldiers with a single spell, his ranking should not be low.

[Congratulations Host, you have become the third child and second son of Touch Me. You have gained the blessing of your Father: Heavenly Aura 1/5, Divine Strength 1/5 and Holy Heal.]

Jircniv looked at his body and strength surged into it from an unknown source, making him surprised. He felt he could slap his future self to death, not that it was a big achievement.

Though he was one of the most powerful men in the world, that's only through status. If he were to face a Copper ranked adventure, he would die like a dog. But now?

Is this how powerful people feel? This is truly addictive.

Clenching his fist, he could feel an unending surge of strength surging just beneath the surface. Jircniv's body underwent a drastic change that did not change his outwardly appearance but lying beneath his skin felt different, like a monster lying in wait.

[Host will become stronger as he ages, eventually possessing more power. If the Host trains, it's possible to gain a large portion of Touch Me's strength. Host can only gain a maximum of 80% of such power. Once the Host reaches 18 years old, all growth will come to a halt.]

So, this is not a one time thing? 80% of Touch Me's power? That's way more than I could even imagine! All I sought was his protection, which will increase the amount of things I can do. To gain this power instead, what a blessing!

If making Bahurth stronger was as difficult as it was in my last life, then this power surely came at the right time. If I had this power, perhaps many things I regret would not have happened.

The 'system' is quite powerful. However, it also proves my suspicion. If I can only gain 80% of Touch Me's power, that means Momonga and the other Supreme Beings are above this force. That might be why it needs me.

[System will now self destruct, we wish you all the best on your journey. To help the Host monitor his progress, a simplified Panel will be given as a gift.]

All of a sudden, Jirnic felt something disappear from his body but he could not determine what. From the words of the force, he knew it was the System.

I need to be careful, for all I know it might still be here and just pretend to be gone.

If this System could give him such power, what's stopping it from taking it back? It still did not make sense to go back and change the future, when the direction will be hard to control.

~Ding~

[Name: Jircniv Rune Farlord El- Nix

Epithet: Bloody Emperor, Regent

Race: Human (Hetermorpics - Insect)

Level 32: Adamantite

Power: Heavenly Aura Level 1, Divine Strength Level 1, Holy Heal Level 1]

Mm this will do nicely. But there is something odd, why is Hetermorpics in brackets? Is it because the System actually made me Touch Me's son? Meaning I possess his blood. The blood of a god? Hmm, I guess I could pose as a God-Kin and make contact with Slane Theocracy.

Perhaps having them teach me would be beneficial but that would expose my secrets. If they did a deep enough background check, they will notice I don't have their gods' blood inside of me. No matter, if it's now or the future, making an enemy out of them is not smart. Plus, Adamantite doesn't mean much to them, and they could easily kill me. I should probably wait and think this through.

But it's interesting. As a nine year old, I possess the power that is the peak of humanity. No wonder humans cannot beat Nazarick, they truly exist in different worlds. Even without training, they could end humanity.

Eh?

Turning his head, Jircniv eyes flash as he senses strange presences coming to his bedroom. If he remembered correctly, this was around the time that his road of blood and bones started.

That means, the ones coming are assassins? I don't quite remember much as that was so long ago but there are things I can't forget.

My father is the Emperor and my mother one of his concubines.

Because of the potential I showed, my mother raised me with the intention of becoming the next Emperor, mainly to be favored by my father.

However, my mother was not the only one with this intention, unlike my mother, they would not hesitate to remove those who came between them and it.

Jircniv truly regretted killing everyone back then, as even though he succeeded the throne, he was alone. However, If not for his cruelty, it's unlikely for him to live for so long.

That being said, there are some people who just need to stay dead.

"I guess I will become the Bloody Emperor again but there are some things that I will change."
