May I kiss you?
The sound of her getas clacking against the concrete, even calm, gets lost in between the lively bustling filling the streets of the city.
Couples walk through them hand in hand while eating the yummiest food the vendors have to offer. Kids yell excited as they run and drag their parents from one place to another eager to look over the stalls that decorate the large sidewalks and get something out of their visit whether is in form of food or plushies or whatever else that catch their eyes.
In summary, groups of friends, families and diverse people meet up crowding the streets to have a good time and chatter animatedly.
A soft smile spreads across the lips of a certain dark purple haired woman as she observes her surroundings on her walk, basking in the beautiful decorations embellishing the sidewalks, the delicious and different aromas filling the air all while the lively music playing livens up her patrol making sure everything is under control.
The Yashiro Commission as well as a certain pink haired priestess sure did a wonderful job in this year's festival.
Sara thinks fondly, catching a little kid running around and preventing him to fall to the ground, before nodding at his parents to keep walking through the festival.
As she keeps moving forward and getting away, the laughs and the rejoicing filling the city fade and leave room to the quiet murmur of the trees swaying in the light crisp breeze blowing and the soft singing of the creatures living in the nature at night.
The previous soft smile she sported minutes ago comes back to adorn the general's lips as she pauses on her walk to enjoy such a beautiful scenery, closing her eyes for a moment to take in the pleasant weather, before she spreads her wings wide open to feel the night's crisp breeze brushing her feathers ever so delicately.
Sara flaps them a couple of times, before she takes off to soar through the starry sky, flying lowly and in between the leafy trees to avoid being seen and scare the people beneath her.
The tengu can't help but bask in the beautiful sight under her, in the contrast between the bustling city and the calmness of the forest, before she glimpses the majesty and the light decorations embellishing the Grand Narukami Shrine in the distance, the hundreds of Sakura trees surrounding it greeting her amicably.
Slowly, Sara descends until her feet touch the sacred grounds devoid of visitants, taking a calm stroll over it, before she discerns a pink haired woman in the distance resting under the shelter of the Sacred Sakura and observing the festival taking place from such a privileged place.
The echo of her footsteps fills the silence reigning over the place as the tengu walks closer. And soon enough, Sara's breath gets caught in her throat as she basks in the beauty in front of her: Yae's long pink stands of hair swaying in the breeze getting lost in the Sakura petals dancing with them.
The way the moonlight bathes her figure and stands out the ethereal of her ivory skin, or the peaceful expression painting her features and making the stoic general's heart pound hard with every light step she takes closer to the other woman not wanting to disrupt her.
Sara watches astonished how the calm smile gracing Yae's lips slowly widens at the sound of her faint footsteps growing closer, before she finds herself trapped in a pair of sparkling and warm amethyst eyes.
- Shouldn't you be patrolling around the festival, my general?
Yae asks her mischievously, turning slightly to look at the general with a soft grin on her lips, and Sara's heart reverberates harder against her ribcage.
- I've already finished my duties – the general tells the priestess softly, seeing Yae's grin widening as she walks closer to sit beside her under the shelter of the Sacred Sakura, but at a respectful distance – Shouldn't you be walking through the festival enjoying it and making sure everything goes as planned, my Guuji?
Sara rebuts softly, hearing Yae letting out a laugh that makes her heart flutter, before she sees the pink haired priestess grinning mischievously at her once again.
- Oh~ I'm sure the Shirasagi Himegimi is doing a great job without me.
She says, letting another and softer laugh float in the air that sounds magical, before she winks at Sara who can't help but blush slightly, hoping the darkness of the night hides it from the keen fox woman.
The general can't help but notice Yae turning back to gaze at the full moon, a soft gleam sparkling in her mesmerizing amethyst eyes, before she closes them and lets Sara bask in the calm expression painting her features while the priestess enjoys the pleasant and peaceful weather.
Enthralled by her beauty once again, Sara moves closer to Yae without realizing, like a magnet being pulled, and tucks a strand of hair behind her fluffy ear, seeing it twitching ever so slightly as the grin on the pink haired woman's lips widens.
- Yae.
- Mmh?
Yae hums, opening her eyes ever so slowly to draw and trap Sara in their captivating amethyst color once again.
- May I kiss you?
Sara asks with bated breath, and Yae's grin slowly turns into a soft but wide smile.
Without uttering a word whatsoever, Yae cups the general's cheeks and pulls her into a tender kiss as the Sakura petals swirl around them creating a magical atmosphere that turns even more magical as fireworks burst on the sky, lightening it up with the most sparkling colors ever seen.
A chuckle escapes Yae's lips as they pull apart, resting their foreheads together. The pink haired woman can't help but get lost in Sara's mesmerizing golden eyes, precious blush and coy smile, before the general captures her lips into another tender kiss that makes her heart rumble in her ribcage as loud as the fireworks painting the skies.
