A/N:
Just as a heads up, I have no clue what the academic pathing is for pharmacy/chemists. I'm pretty sure biochemistry is a weeder class for freshmen/sophomores (US terms) however I really have no clue and I'm too blah in my mood rn to actually check. Apologies for anyone I offend for not googling when someone needs to take a certain class.

Daphne's eyebrow twitched as the sound of crunching chips echoed through the library. Looking around, she could see no one in her immediate vicinity with food, but that didn't mean someone wasn't hiding in the stacks with their smuggled snack. There was a blonde in the corner sleeping on his bookbag, and a plump ginger girl bent over her own stack of books that mimicked the stack littering Daphne's table. A bushy haired brunette sat in front of the computer, hunched over the keyboard, typing away madly. The keyboard was thankfully faint, and with the carpeted floors and upholstered chairs, the sound didn't travel much from across the room.
The sound of crunching chips, however, was constant. It didn't annoy her as much as it could have, since she was able to put her headphones back in to drown out the obnoxious crunching. Training her eyes back onto her biochemistry textbook, she doubled down on studying for the big midterm exam that was tomorrow.
She had already spent three years in university, studying to be a pharmacist. She was almost at the point where she could take her capstone class, and this midterm–and subsequently passing this class–was the only thing in her way to making progress in her degree.
The momentary lull in between songs had the crunching sound accosting her ears again. Scowling to herself, but unwilling to seek out the perpetrator, Daphne turned her music up again, skipping songs until she found one that was loud with an upbeat tempo.
It was another 10 minutes of blissful studying before Daphne was interrupted yet again! This time, however, was in her favor, for a ruckus at the edge of her vision drew her attention. She gleefully watched as the Head Librarian escorted a redhead out of the stacks he had been hiding behind and out of the library, a mega tub of Pringles chips in his hand. Bits of crumbs littered his face around his mouth, and Daphne couldn't help but feel satisfaction at the justice that was meted today.
She turned back to her textbook and pulled out her flashcards to start quizzing herself on terminology. She couldn't afford to fail this exam.
