It took Aqua's words for her to even think about the big no-no in the photo of her son that was taken that day.

"Maybe you did," Miyako frowned at him again, her serious demeanor returning in an instant. "You're not off the hook just yet, young man. I still have plenty to talk to you about."

"Then, by all means, please tell me what I did wrong. I only hope this isn't a false accusation like before," Aqua leaned back against his chair and stared at the ceiling. "I apologize, Miyako-san. I must have left the music app on my phone open before I went to sleep," Aqua sighed and bowed his head in apology. If this is all it takes to get the woman off his back, then he should just do it to get it over with. He really wanted to be done with this so they could leave already.

Miyako flashed a smirk. She finally had him this time.

"You seem to be getting terrible at lying, Aqua. Because the noises I've been hearing cannot be considered music in the slightest. With a mischievous smile on her face, Ruby tiptoed towards the couch where her brother was sitting. He was currently reading a manga from his little collection in his bedroom, looking engrossed within its pages and completely unaware of what was happening around him. "Hehe… are you reading one of your mangas again?" she asked, noticing that it was one of those psychological thriller ones that needed a lot of thinking and brainstorming to understand. She didn't really know why he liked this particular genre but eh, her brother has his tastes.

"The series is said to be ending soon, so I'm reading a bit of it to catch up before the final chapter gets announced," he answered calmly before closing the book, as he turned slightly to look at her. "Did you need something from me, Ruby?"

The smile that was on Ruby's face grew wider. "Does this mean you're free right now?"

Aqua shrugged. "I suppose I have a few hours before I talk with Director Gotanda about some final touches regarding the script and flow of the movie. Why?"

"Then… do you want to do something with me instead?" she asked, half-nervous and half-excited but very eager for some fun.

The smile on Ruby's face fell, and she threw him a big pout while pulling on his arm like a needy sibling. "Come on, you've been focusing too much on making the movie that you barely have enough time for yourself anymore! I think you need to release some stress, Onii-chan."

"Ruby, you know why I need this movie to succeed."

As Aqua left to head for the kitchen in search of something to eat, Ruby sighed to herself and began a slow trudge back to her room. She wanted to complain and be angry with her brother for ignoring her and not caring about her feelings despite the current state of their relationship, but she held herself back. Ruby knew that Aqua wanted the upcoming movie about their mother to accomplish a lot of things, and one of them included revenge against Ai's killer.

Besides, the aftermath of that day made everything worth it. All the angst, sorrow, tears, and tragedy up until that point… it was all worth it for what it led to.

Right after learning that Aqua was Amamiya Goro in his past life, Ruby's attitude did a complete 180; she went from being unable to even look at him in the eye without being angry, to hugging and being close to him at almost every chance she gets.
