This chapter will go through the events of the fortune teller Baba saga in a relatively brief summary and the rest will be spent on Goku's training arc in preparation for the 22nd world tournament and also most of the 22nd world tournament since as I said I'm sure most readers will be more interested in the Z portion since I'm sure most readers never watched OG dragon ball also Goku will meet a few DC characters before the end of the 3 years of training around the world.
Age 750 (At Baba's arena)
After the battle with the Red Ribbon army, they picked up Upa since Goku wished to revive his dad which everyone approved of so Goku Diana Clark Krillin Bulma Upa and Roshi made their way to Baba's palace and due to them being broke they had to fight in Baba's tournament to win the last dragon ball on the way meeting Puar and Yamcha who agree to go with them then first up was Krillin vs fangs the vampire who wins with ease by sucking Krillins blood next was Upa and Puar who teamed up with garlic breath and Puar transformed into a crucifix securing their victory next was Yamcha vs The invisible man and Krillin comes up with a idea which is... pull up Bulmas shirt and give Roshi a nose bled which rockets into invisible man and then Yamcha defeats him next was Bandages the mummy who Diana fought and though Bandages was fast Diana was faster so she secured the knockout next was Spike the Devil man who Goku decided to fight on his own despite everyone's concern when they found out about his ability but luckily that failed against Goku then Spike withdrew his trident to attack luckily Goku was superior in skill and knocked him out then finally Goku prepared to fight the unnamed warrior who began a intense struggle as Goku and him had a similar style and the opponent knew the Kamehameha so Goku then the opponent grabbed his tail and repeatedly slammed him into the floor making everyone wince (note Goku is stronger than he was normally) however Goku ever vigilant stayed in despite his friends protests this impressed the warrior. Then Roshi revealed that he is Goku's grandfather Gohan the rest were surprised he was so brutal but Roshi stopped their intervention saying that Gohan wouldn't dish out anymore punishment just as Gohan ripped Goku's tail off from the roots scaring everyone but Goku was free of his weakness and was ready to fight but Gohan conceded proud of the boys growth then Gohan unmasked himself the boy smiled and they had a tearful reunion Goku hugging him tightly warming everyone's heart then as they released each other Gohan explained that if Goku knew his identity he would probably hold back which he didn't want as Gohan wished to test his strength.
As they wondered how he was back Diana said "I assume you are from the underworld right?" Gohan chuckled "No I come from another world the land of non-believers and atheists you Diana would end up in the underworld due to your belief system." Diana stood wide-eyed and surprised about other afterlifes' existing the rest especially Clark were surprised then Clark asked "So I would go to heaven or hell?" Baba nodded at that then Gohan continued "I'm only permitted to be here for one day though so I can't be back again Baba predicted you all would go here to retrieve the seventh dragon ball then the group explained the dragon balls use and their adventures together Gohan thanked Roshi and then left to return to otherworld after a tearful farewell then Baba tracks the final ball telling the Emperor Pilaf has the final one then the group found Pilaf and quickly retrieved it after an easy fight.
The group finally returned to Bora's grave preparing for a final wish as they summoned Shenron surprising Clark and Upa then Goku gestured to Upa to make his wish "I wish to bring my father Bora!" the dragon's eyes flashed and Bora appeared right in front of him as the dragon balls dispersed Goku grabbed the 4-star ball finally getting his grandfather's dragon ball back.
Age 750 (Kame house)
"Alright Goku," said Roshi when the group came back to Kame house everyone was gathered around celebrating their victory when Roshi said, "I have a new plan for your journey and training you see as you grow up you must become more experienced and less naive so I want you to travel the world training on foot so not Nimbus unless dire." Goku nodded "Ok" Roshi looked surprised "That's it? you know you may not see your friends for a while right?" Goku nodded "I'll miss them but it will be fine," Clark interjected "Well in that case I'll be going now back to Metropolis it was a good experience fighting the Red Ribbon army and I'm glad there are other people with powers willing to defend the world." Bulma nodded "It was nice meeting you too" and everyone nodded in agreement then he flew away "Well I'll stay here and train with everyone else then." then Diana added "I'll probably go back to Themyscira for now the art of ki has been very helpful though but I wish to continue honing my skills in Amazonian martial arts." everyone nodded then Yamcha said, "Well how about we meet at the next world tournament?" Everyone smiled at this "I hope you all get stronger before next time!" Goku said grinning then Goku added, "I'll drop you off back at Themyscira before I go ok Diana?" Diana smiled "That would be nice thanks" Then Goku and Diana hopped on Nimbus flying off into the sunset Roshi smiled "Perhaps that kid has hope after all." then Bulma frowned "In what regard?" Roshi's smile widened "quite a few then he looked back at everyone still on the island alright you lot we will continue training tomorrow so you all can catch up the students of the turtle school nodded and then went off to bed.
Age 750 (Themyscira)
"I had quite a bit of fun Goku." Diana said smiling Goku grinned "Glad to hear that Diana" Then Diana looked at his eyes he's very small for his age she thought but yet such a big heart Goku then said "Diana are you ok?" interrupting her then he hugged her "I'll miss you Diana" this made her blush deeply "I will too Goku" she said a smile on her face then Goku disconnected seeing her red face "Your doing that red face thing again are you alright?" Diana's blush deepened again then she sighed "You'll understand soon enough Goku." then Goku hopped on Nimbus and looked back "Well see you later Diana!" as he started flying away "Bye Goku," Diana said bidding him farewell. The young Saiyan flew away riding into the night on his next adventure.
Age 750-753 (Travelling the world) This will be a montage summary of the journey.
Goku started off his journey well enough meeting a girl named Chao and saving her village from two criminals Terror and Plague. Next, Goku went to Chin Star High School after helping Chin Taiken defeat Sky Dragon at King wontons Royal match. Next, he traveled to a village that was terrorized by demons, and the creatures kidnaped Princess Misa luckily Goku was brave enough to travel to the underworld to fight Shula who took her there after a tough fight Goku prevailed leaving the place Next he met Tien, and Chiaotzu who were running a scam though Goku foils their plans and then leaves again afterward he was attacked by a guy called Wizard (He's very obscure) which Zatara helps him fight off afterward he helps Zatara capture the Villain and then performs with Zatara and her daughter Zatanna in a magic show in which Goku was pulled from a hat when Zatara performed magic Goku attempted his own and blew a hole in the theater afterwards he continued on his journey (Learning bare basic magic) next he stumbled into Gotham after being attacked by killer croc (Whom he promptly swatted like a fly) he met the man himself Batman whom had heard of Goku's exploits and had some respect and even trained Goku a little in martial arts whom in turn taught Batman some ki control (Just enhanced strength and ki blasts) Batman even brought him on a mission but Goku's clumsiness messed it all up after leaving Gotham he headed to central city meeting a speedster called flash after taking down a drug trafficking group and afterwards Barry and the Saiyan took down some rouge red ribbon soldiers and then they went out to a restaurant and well they ran out of stock with the two gluttons there after bonding for life over food Goku left to continue of the final stretch of his journey meeting... Commander Red? (This is a fun little bit I added for no reason at all) however, this Commander Red was not normal as they fought blow for blow to Goku's surprise "Why won't you die!?" Goku asked Commander Red chuckled before ripping his top off "Nanomachines son! They harden to physical trauma the latter I have plenty left in supply for you!" before gut-punching the Saiyan the fight was grueling but eventually the Saiyan came out on top killing Red for good then Goku finally prepared for his return and set off back towards Baba's palace.
Age 753 (On the way to Papaya island)
After helping a guy called Konkichi from a group of thugs the Saiyan missed his flight so he was at the moment swimming at high speed towards the island luckily the Saiyan had learned some magic from Zatara so a little bit of Retaw Ni Htaerb! giving the Saiyan the ability to breathe underwater which he found very cool and made the journey easier as he finally reached the island.
Goku ran toward the group excited to see them after all this time first Roshi spoke "You have improved a lot Goku and you have learned new tricks as well I'm impressed" Then Krillin spoke, "How did it go Goku?" Goku smiled "I learned many new things including magic and even made some friends!" "Wow, Goku making friends never thought I'd see the day" Yamcha joked then Goku asked them "Where's Diana she said she would be here?" Bulma answered "Well apparently her gods wanted to test her might so they sent her on a quest of her own" Goku nodded slightly disappointed then cheered up and said "Lets' do this thing before running off leaving everyone to chase the Saiyan.
As they went to enter three figures appeared to confront them Master Shen Tien and Chaiotzu masters of the crane style then Shen said to Roshi "Prepare to lose you hunch-backed scumbag no wonder your style is the turtle style your backs like a shell!" Roshi retorted with "And you are skinner than any crane I've ever seen hardly a meal I must say." Shen smirked "Well my students will topple yours anyway so be prepared to lose!"
The turtle school students wore the turtle school uniform and they met up with Jackie Chun who promised he'll beat them. Up first were Krillin and Yamcha who easily defeated their opponents then Tien said "Don't be so proud of defeating such weaklings." annoying the pair then Yamcha said "Shut up tri clops" pissing Tien off who beat his opponent with frightening speed. Next was Goku against King Chappa a former tournament however the match ended up being quite trivial to everyone's surprise. Afterward were the selections though it was not long before insults were flung around everyone cussed like sailors however no one knew that Tien and Chiaotzu had rigged the selection pool pitting them against each other as well as Jackie Chun with Man Wolf.
First up was Yamcha vs Tien in which Tien brutalized Yamcha making Goku swear revenge though Tien hardly cared second was Jackie Chun vs Man Wolf who hated him after he destroyed the moon because he could not turn back and go out with ladies however in terms of skill Jackie had him beat and then humiliated him but Jackie Chun used a hypnotizing trick on him so Man Wolf turned back surprising everyone. Thirdly was Krillin vs Chiaotzu which went strangely to say the least starting with a fight but ending with math equations and trickery Krillin managed to pull of a win despite Chiaotzu fighting to kill thanks to Shen finding out about Tao's assumed death. Fourth was Goku vs Pamput which ended with a swift victory despite Pamputs showboating.
The Semi-Finals began with Jackie Chun vs Tien an intense fight broke out however Jackie Chun forfeited and admitted to believing Tien would win anyway while Tien was confused on why Roshi should hide his identity and then there was Goku vs Krillin which was quite close with Goku eventually pulling ahead with his superior speed in the end.
Tien vs Goku:
Both warriors start off fast with Tien taking an early lead on Goku while he adjusted to his fighting style before getting nailed by a Dodon Ray before following up with Machine Gun Tsuki which was a volley of rapid punches sending Goku to the other side of the ring but then Goku proclaimed "I will use my full strength and arsenal now!" getting a sneer from Tien (This will be much different to canon) however Goku then chanted seniv ni parw! which wrapped Tien in strong vines then Goku before launching a volley of ki blasts at the trapped Tien dealing some damage then Tien hopped out of the vines and began having a short afterimage duel testing the waters however this ended fast when Tien prepared a solar flare in which Goku grabs Roshi's glasses to block as he went to return them Tien rushed at him smacking him into the wall. As both fighters got up they charged but Goku was much easier to hit then it occurred to Tien that Chioatzu was using telekinesis to hold him in place after a telepathic conversation Shen gets made and demanded Chioatzu kill Tien which he refused the crane master was pissed but Master Roshi blasted him out of the arena with a Kamehameha. After this, the match continues Tien uses the 4 witches technique and Goku uses the pseudo 8 arms technique which he learned during his match with King Chappa which Tien struggled to defend against then Tien prepares a Tri-Beam which he warns Goku that it will kill him so don't take it however Tien levitated and then blew the arena to bits however Goku chanted noitativel! causing him to float surprising Tien before Goku began to charge a Kamehameha before launching it at him knocking Tien out and sending him back to the bottom getting Goku his first win in the Strongest Under the Heavens tournament.
That was a different ending to the usual tournament also in case you are wondering Goku's magic is the bare basics, not anything crazy like Zatara and Zatanna can do (She's around the main group's age here by the way) next chapter will go over the Demon king Piccolo arc and 23rd world tournament and after this will be the 0G-Z time skip.
